  • This study aimed to analyze the overall operation status of the Bank of Korea library representing the economic library in Korea, investigate user satisfaction and demand, and to propose a direction for the development of the economic library in the future. To this end, a case study was conducted on changes in the external environment of major libraries at home and abroad, and a user survey was conducted. As a result, the future tasks include introducing smart systems, robotics some library services, non-face-to-face service response spaces that reflect the times, introducing big data analysis services, strengthening user-tailored systems, and activating SNS communication. It proposed developing specialized libraries, online reference and research support services, and providing original DBs for publications to strengthen expertise, maintaining and expanding cloud services, maintaining and expanding cooperative projects, and collecting national knowledge and information.

An Analysis of Online Readers' Advisory Services Offered by Public Libraries (공공도서관의 온라인 독자상담 서비스에 관한 연구)

  • Due to the rapid advancement of information technology and changes in the reading environment, the readers' advisory services provided by public libraries are facing challenges and opportunities. Recognizing the need for public libraries to respond and propel their services forward, this study analyzed the current status of online readers' advisory services offered by public libraries in Korea and discusses areas that require improvement. To achieve this, the study analyzed the online readers' advisory services in 50 public libraries located in Seoul and six metropolitan cities (Incheon, Daejeon, Daegu, Gwangju, Busan, and Ulsan) across seven categories. These categories encompass various aspects, such as announcing reading programs and new books, identifying and addressing reader needs, developing content by librarians, generating content by readers, providing guidance on external reading information, connecting with professional book review databases and online websites, and utilizing social media services. Through this analysis, the study identified areas for improvement to enhance online readers' advisory services in public libraries and ultimately improve reader satisfaction. It suggested enhancing activities such as librarians' book recommendations and reviews for individual readers, reader participation, and interaction.

Affecting Factors in Unemployment Stress among College Students -Focused on Physical Symptoms, Depression, Anxiety and Self-esteem- (대학생의 취업스트레스에 영향을 미치는 요인 -신체증상, 우울, 불안, 자아존중감을 중심으로-)

  • This study examined the correlation between college students' unemployment stress and affecting factors including physical symptoms, mental health, and self-esteem. In the results, students appeared to have more stress when they were female, in higher grades, in low satisfaction in their school life, in the lack of leisure time, in inadequate preparation for employment, and when they had none of those who could share their feeling on unemployment than students in the opposite situations. Students' physical and mental health had a positive relation with unemployment stress, and self esteem had a negative relation with unemployment stress. After multivariate analysis, the factors affecting unemployment stress were senior grade and depression. On the other hand, the factors predicting low umemployment stress were male sex, high level of self esteem, and satisfaction in preparation for employment. Therefore, the counselling program for employment preparation should include intervention strategies for enhancing self-esteem besides providing with information of employment.

  • Our society is showing rapid growth throughout the industry, but it is in the era of nuclear family and aging. Due to the elderly, the demand for social welfare services such as medical treatment services tends to increase sharply. However, duties of senior citizens and social workers engaged in related medical care facilities are not clearly identified, and job stress has occurred and the degree of job satisfaction is extremely low. Therefore, in this paper, in relation to the social worker's duties of elderly nursing home care facilities, in practicing welfare services, knowledge base that was convergence with duties so that you can focus on service according to better environment and standardized procedures To provide a management system. Through the proposed system, social workers are expected to be able to improve work satisfaction by quickly grasping operations and escaping from job stress through their own development and information sharing.

A Study on University Researchers' Data Management Practices (대학 내 연구자들의 연구데이터 관리에 관한 연구)

  • This study examined research data management practices from the perspectives of university researchers. A survey was conducted for principal investigators of projects in universities selected to be funded by National Research Foundation in 2010 and 2011. Predicated on the analysis of 131 survey responses, there was a great difference in types of research data between Humanities & Social Science fields and Science, Medicine and Engineering fields. Most respondents added value of their data by linking to other types of information or combining data from other sources. For storing data, PC or portable media were generally employed, and around 80% of respondents saw their data having a useful life under 10 years. Data was shared within research team and with outside researchers who requested data. The percentage of respondents who have reused data was higher than that of respondents who have shared data. In order to obtain data for reuse, the majority of respondents drew data from published articles, or contacted data creators. In most cases, mechanisms for managing data did not exist in projects or universities where respondents belong. Since the level of satisfaction with long-term preservation and metadata description of research data was found to be low, it was necessary to develop data archiving services to support the data management procedures.

Web-based Product Recommendation System with Probability Similarity Measure (확률 유사성척도를 활용한 웹 기반의 상품추천시스템)

  • This research suggests a recommendation system that enables bidirectional communications between the user and system using a utility range-based product recommendation algorithm in order to provide more dynamic and personalized recommendations. The main idea of the proposed algorithm is to find the utility ranges of products based on user specified preference information and calculate the similarity by using overlapping probability of two range values. Based on the probability, we determine what products are similar to each other among the products in the product list of collaborative companies. We have also developed a Web-based application system to recommend similar products to the customer. Using the system, we carry out the experiments for the performance evaluation of the procedure. The experimental study shows that the utility range-based approach is a viable solution to the similar product recommendation problems from the viewpoint of both accuracy and satisfaction rate.

  • This research conducted a survey targeting mobile SNS users in order to see whether mobile SNS attribute( accessibility, usefulness, newness, connectivity) through the medium of information share and relationship formation had a positive influence on user satisfaction. The results of the analysis showed that usefulness and accessibility had a significant influence on information share, while accessibility and connectivity had a significant influence on relationship formation. Information share and relationship formation both had a significant influence on user satisfaction. Based on this research, an angle of approach different from the business transactions and information services offered in existing mobile networks is necessary when corporations provide SNS through mobiles. When considering that the most important part in the use of mobile SNS is the social component, this can be actively used for the development and marketing of SNS services. Therefore, the SNS provider must focus its efforts on finding a method to stimulate user sensibilities in order to increase customer satisfaction and draw out continuous usage.

  • One of important Issues in computer graphics field is to communicate among users in virtual world like secondlife. However, in 3D virtual world, users' needs to wish to build their own contents in 3D virtual space are rising, similarly, users produce own homepage and animation, and leave writing in notice board. In this paper, we tried to achieve this by introducing semantic annotation object concept, which is a kind of annotation method in 3D virtual world. User can retrieve an 3D object by searching corresponding annotation data. This method can build semantic 3D virtual world and enable users to search 3D objects by integrating 3D object and 2D semantic multimedia information. Also, through a comparison experiment with proposal system and general 3D virtual world. the performance of proposed system is evaluated.

A Study on Usability Evaluation of Reference Resources Management Tools (참고정보원 관리도구의 사용성 평가에 관한 연구)

  • Reference resources management tools can be divided into three types: Desktop-based, Web-based, and Web 2.0-based. This study is intended to compare and analyze the functions provided by the three types of tools and also to compare and evaluate their usability. Each Tools were chosen to represent each type. For comparison and analysis of the functions provided by the three types of tools, we divided the process of using reference resources management tools into four steps and then compared and analyzed sub items in each step. Satisfaction, understandability, conformance and efficiency that items for comparison and evaluation of the usability were compared using both quantitative and qualitative approaches. We surveyed the participants to collect data for quantitative research; and interviewed them and analyzed the results for qualitative research. Here are the results from evaluating the usability of Tool A(Desktop-based), B(Web-based), C(Web 2.0 based). First, Tool B had the highest mean user satisfaction, followed by Tool A and Tool C. Secondly, Tool B had the lead in understandability, followed by Tool A and Tool C. Thirdly, Tool A had the highest mean conformance, followed by Tool B and Tool C. Fourth, Tool B had the highest mean efficiency, followed by Tool A and Tool C.
