안테나 유도(AI) 방식 3차원 대면적 플라즈마를 이용한 폴리우레탄, 고무, 파일론의 표면 개질 기술

  • 본 발표에서는 3차원 안테나 유도 방식(3DAI)의 대기압 플라즈마 발생기술을 소개하고 그 응용에 대해 논의하고자 한다. 3DAI (3 Dimensional Antenna Induced) 방식의 가장 큰 특징은 하나의 전원 장치로 아크 발생 없이 다수의 금속 전극에서 플라즈마를 발생 할 수 있다는 특징과 3차원과 같은 높이 100 mm 이상의 큰 volume에서 플라즈마를 발생할 수 있는 기술로 그 적용을 확대할 수 있을 것으로 기대되는 기술이다. 다수의 금속 전극에서 플라즈마를 발생 시키는 기술은 대면적 처리가 가능하다는 의미이며 금속 전극을 사용한다는 것은 반 영구적 전극 사용을 할 수 있다는 의미로 해석할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 신발 접착에 필요한 플라즈마 처리면적 350 mm, 플라즈마 발생 높이 100 mm급 3DAI 대기압 플라즈마 발생 장치를 개발하였다. 개발된 3DAI 플라즈마 기술을 이용하여 신발 재료 접착에 적용하였다. 화학 약품인 프라이머를 사용하지 않고 수성접착제를 사용하여 밑창인 고무와 중창인 IP 및 PU 등에서 모두 초기 접착 강도 1.5 kg/cm 이상, 경시 접착강도 3.5 kg/cm 이상으로 모재가 대부분 파괴되는 접착 강도를 얻었으며, 접착 수율이 99.9% 이상의 높은 생산성을 보여주고 있다.

Effect of Aging on Adhesive Strength of Rubber-steel Cord Composite and Tire-endurance (고무-스틸 코드 접착력과 타이어 내구력에 미치는 노화의 영향)

  • We invested effect of the keeping-time of uncured composite and thermal aging, of cured composite on adhesive strength for rubber-brass coated steel cord composite in this study. We also evaluated how the adhesive strength affects to tire endurance. Using PAD adhesion specimen, peel adhesive strength was measured. The uncured composite was kept for several days up to 35 days in factory. Cured composite was also kept for 5 and 10 days at $85^{\circ}C$ in dry oven. Peel adhesive strength was decreased with increasing keeping-time and showed lower value with increasing thermal aging time. The lower peel adhesive strength, the lower tire-endurance. This fact was caused by the humidity and thermal aging which affected in the decrease of adhesive strength of the rubber-steel cord composite and resulted in interface fracture between rubber and steel cord. This phenomenon was confirmed from SEM investigation and tire-endurance. It was just known that corrosion of steel cord's surface and aging of adhesive layer strongly affected to decrease of adhesive strength. This resulted in directly decreasing tire-endurance.

Adhesive Properties of Epoxy Composite According to the Surface Treatment of Cu Substrate and Adhesion Promoter Content (구리기판의 표면처리 및 접착증진제 함량에 따른 에폭시 컴포지트의 접착특성)

  • In this study, we synthesized poly(itaconic acid-co-acrylamide) (IAcAAM) used as a novel polymer adhesion promoter to improve the adhesion strength of surface-treated Cu lead frames and epoxy composites. IAcAAM comprising itaconic acid, acrylamide was prepared through radical aqueous polymerization. The chemical structure and properties of IAcAAM was analyzed by FT-IR, 1H-NMR, GPC, and DSC. The surface of the copper lead frame was treated with high temperature, alkali, and UV ozone to reduce the water contact angle and increase the surface energy. The adhesive strength of Cu lead frame and epoxy composite increased with the decrease of contact angle. The adhesive strength of Cu lead frame/epoxy composite increased with the addition of IAcAAM in epoxy composite. As silica content increased, the adhesive strength of Cu lead frame and epoxy composite tended to slightly decrease.

Measurement of Adhesion Strength of Polyurethane Foam to Surface-Treated Carbon Steel and Effect of Water Vapor Absorption (발포 폴리우레탄과 탄소강과의 접착 강도 측정 및 수증기 흡착의 영향)

  • A previous stud-pull test was modified to measure the bond strength of polyurethane foam to carbon steel substrate. This test was appropriate in that the specimen foamed on Zn phosphated steel (0.95 kN) was broken at higher load than that of smooth galvanizing treated steel (0.38 kN). Among the samples foamed on the substrate atvarious preheating temperatures, the polyurethane foam to the steel held over 60$^{\circ}C$ exhibited very high bond strength. The samples were exposed at water vapor absorption, and, then, their bond strengths were measured. The adhesion was significantly reduced in the samples foamed on the steel at temperatures below 40$^{\circ}C$ and above 70$^{\circ}C$. For the polyurethane foams formulated with two blowing gases, the adhesion was higher by 0.03 kN in the samples with HCFC-l4lb than that with HFC-245fa. When the these samples were exposed at water vapor soaking, the reduction of the bond strength for the HFC-245fa blown sample was negligible due to smaller area fraction of void area filled with gas at interfacial area. Consequently, it was found that adhesion of polyurethane foam to metal substrate was determined by variation of microstructural features with substrate preheating, surface treatment type of blowing agent.

An Experimental Study on the Period of Cold Joint Occurrence Effecting Shear Bond Performances of UHSCC (콜드조인트 발생시간이 초고강도 섬유보강 시멘트 복합체의 전단 접착 성능에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance on the compressive bonding shear strength of ultra-high strength steel fiber reinforced cementitous composites(UHSCC). As a result of compressive bonding shear strength through Direct shear test, It was found that the specimen($150{\times}150{\times}150mm$) of NC(Normal concrete) + NC showed similar compressive bonding shear strength at whole experimental level. On the other hand, the specimen of UHSCC + UHSCC showed decrease of compressive bonding shear strength from after 30 minutes of the retarded placement than 0 minute. As a result of analyzing failure mode of bonding interface, It was found that the specimen of NC + NC showed mixed failure at whole experimental level. In case of the specimen of UHSCC + UHSCC, it showed interface failure from the specimen that are 30 minutes, 60 minutes and 90 minutes of delay of concrete placing. As a result of analyzing XRD test in terms of the placement interface on the specimen of NC and UHSCC, relatively much amount of $SiO_2$ was detected from the specimen of UHSCC than that of NC. It is judged that the most of main components of coating film shown in the specimen of UHSCC is $SiO_2$. In conclusion, it is judged that UHSCC which is made from after 30 minutes of delay of concrete placing is unable to be used as structural member because of deterioration of bonding performance. From later study, it is judged that the improvement of bonding performance from the part of cold joint occurrence is necessary through the interface preparation method.

Strength of Composit Single-lap Bonded Joints with Different Saltwater Moisture Contents (서로 다른 수분율을 갖도록 염수환경에 노출된 복합재 접착체결부의 강도)

  • The effect of moisture contents by salt water on the strength of composite single-lap bonded joints is investigated. The specimens were manufactured in an autoclave by secondary bonding and immersed in the 3.5% salt water of $71^{\circ}C$ for different durations to get various moisture contents; 0, 0.2, 0.5, 1.0, and 2.0%(saturation). A total of 80 joint specimens were tested for 5 different moisture contents and 2 temperature environments. Test results show that while the joint strengths after the saturation of moisture decrease compared to those of dry ones, the strengths of the pre-saturated joint up to 1.0% of moisture content increase in both room and elevated temperature conditions. It is also shown that the strengths of joints tested in elevated temperature are slightly higher than the strength in room temperature by 2-5% until the moisture content reaches 1 %. In contrast, the high temperature strength of the saturated joint is about 5% lower than the room temperature strength.

해양홍합 유래 바이오-접착소재 개발 동향

  • 잠재적인 생체의료용 소재로서 홍합접착단백질은 그 동안 커다란 관심을 받아왔었다. 홍합접착단백질은 환경친화적인 수중접착제로써 강하면서도 유연하게 다양한 물질들의 표면에 접착하며 수분에 강하고 인체에 무해하며 생분해되는 특성을 가지고 있다. 여러 가지의 홍합접착단백질들이 홍합으로부터 발견되어 그 특성들이 연구되었으며 홍합의 접착기작에 대한 생화학적 지식들이 축적되어 왔다. 또한 이렇게 가능성이 높은 해양홍합유래의 바이오-접착소재를 현실화하려는 많은 노력들이 시도되어 왔다. 본 고에서는 홍합접착단백질의 기능적 생산에 초점을 맞추어 다양한 개발 접근방법들의 진행들의 추이를 정리하였다.

The study of shear bond strength of a self-adhesive resin luting cement to dentin (상아질에 대한 자가 접착 레진 시멘트의 전단결합강도에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: The objective of this study was to compare the bonding characteristics of a new self-adhesive resin cement to dentin, which does not require bonding and conditioning procedure of the tooth surface, and conventional resin cement. The effect of phosphoric acid etching prior to application of self-adhesive resin cement on the shear bond strength was also evaluated. Material and methods: Fortyfive non-carious human adult molars extracted within 6 months were embedded in chemically cured acrylic resin. The teeth were ground with a series of SiC-papers ending with 800 grit until the flat dentin surfaces of the teeth were exposed. The teeth were randomly divided into 3 experimental groups. In group 1, self-adhesive resin cement, RelyX Unicem (3M ESPE, Seefeld, Germany) was bonded without any conditioning of teeth. In group 2, RelyX Unicem was bonded to teeth after phosphoric acid etching. For group 3, Syntac Primer (Ivoclar Vivadent AG, Schaan, Liechtenstein) was applied to the teeth before Syntac adhesive (Ivoclar Vivadent AG, Schaan, Liechtenstein) and Helibond (Ivoclar Vivadent AG, Schaan, Liechtenstein) followed by conventional resin cement, Variolink II (Ivoclar Vivadent AG, Schaan, Liechtenstein). To make a shear bond strength test model, a plastic tuble (3 mm diameter, 3 mm height) was applied to the dentin surfaces at a right angle and filled it with respective resin cement, and light-polymerized for 40 seconds. All the specimens were stored in distilled water at $37^{\circ}C$ for 24 hours before test. Universal Testing Machine (Z020, Zwick, Ulm, Germany) at a cross head speed of 1 mm/min was used to evaluate the shear bond strength. The failure sites were inspected under a magnifier and Scanning Electron Microscope. The data was analyzed with One way ANOVA and Scheffe test at ${\alpha}$= 0.05. Results: (1) The shear bond strengths to dentin of RelyX Unicem was not significantly different from those of Variolink II/Syntac. (2) Phosphoric acid etching lowered the shear bond strength of RelyX Unicem significantly. (3) Most of RelyX Unicem and Variolink II showed mixed fractures, while all the specimens of RelyX Unicem with phosphoric acid etching demonstrated adhesive failure between dentin and resin cement. Conclusion: Shear bond strength to dentin of self-adhesive resin cement is not significantly different from conventional resin cement, and phosphoric acid etching decrease the shear bond strength to dentin of self-adhesive resin cement.

Effects of filler addition to bonding agents on shear bond strength (FILLER함량이 BONDING AGENT의 전단접착강도에 미치는 영향)

  • 목적 : 최근 개발된 bonding agent 중 일부는 다양한 함량의 filler를 포함하고 있으며 filler의 첨가는 bonding agent의 기계적인 물성을 향상시킴으로써 접착력의 향상에 기여한다는 주장이 있다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 함량의 filler를 포함한 adhesive를 실험적으로 만들어, filler의 함량이 전단접착강도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고 임상적으로 가장 적절한 filler의 함량을 알아보고자 하였다. 또 adhesive의 간접인장강도를 측정하여 adhesive의 기계적인 물성과 접착력과의 상관관계를 알아보았다. 방법 : 발거된 건전한 70개의 대구치를 투명 레진에 매몰하고 상아질면을 노출시켰다. 3M사의 Scotchbond Multipurpose의 etchant와 primer를 제조사의 지시대로 적용하고 1$\mu\textrm{m}$크기의 barium glass filler를 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 45wt% 포함하도록 실험적으로 제작한 adhesive를 도포한 후 레진을 충전하여 시편을 완성하였다. Instron으로 0.5mm/min의 속도에서 전단접착강도를 측정하고 그 단면을 입체현미경으로 관찰하여 파절의 양상을 확인하였다. Filler함량에 따른 adhesive의 후경을 측정하기 위해 상기한 방법으로 시편을 제작하여 주사 전자현미경으로 관찰한 후 Sigmascan을 이용하여 그 후경을 측정하였다. 또, 지름 4mm 높이 6mm의 원통형 시편을 제작하여 Instron로 간접인장강도의 측정을 시행하였다. 얻어진 결과는 Kruskal-Wallis test와 Mann-Whitney test를 시행하여 분석하였으며, 상관관계를 분석을 위해 Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient를 구하였다. 결과 : 1) Filler함유량에 따라 전단접착강도는 유의할 만한 차이를 보였다(p<0.05). 2) Filler함량의 증가에 따라 전단접착강도는 유의하게 증가하여 15% 수준에서 가장 높은 갈(19.9$\pm$1.38Mpa)을 보였으며 20% 이상의 수준에서는 유의하게 감소하였다(p<0.05). 3) Adhesive의 간접인장강도는 20% 수준까지는 증가하는 양상을 보였으나 통계적 유의성은 없었으며(p>0.05), 30% 이상에서는 유의할 만한 감소를 보였다(p<0.05). 4) Adhesive의 후경은 0% 수준에서 5.97$\pm$1.23$\mu\textrm{m}$부터 45%수준에서 73.37$\pm$11.7$\mu\textrm{m}$까지 유의하게 증가하였다(p<0.05). 5) Filler함량에 따른 Adhesive의 간접인장강도와 전단접착강도는 상관관계가 없었다.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF DIFFERENT SELF-ADHESIVE RESIN CEMENTS AND THEIR SHEAR BOND STRENGTH ON LITHIUM DISILICATE CERAMIC AND DENTIN (수종의 자가 접착 레진 시멘트의 물성 및 lithium disilicate ceramic과 상아질에 대한 전단결합강도 비교)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the physical properties of different self-adhesive resin cements and their shear bond strength on dentin and lithium disilicate ceramic and compare these result with that of conventional resin cement. For this study, four self-adhesive resin cements (Rely-X Unicem, Embrace Wetbond, Mexcem, BisCem), one conventional resin cement (Rely-X ARC) and one restorative resin composite (Z-350) were used. In order to evaluate the physical properties, compressive strength, diametral tensile strength and flexural strength were measured. To evaluate the shear bond strength on dentin, each cement was adhered to buccal dentinal surface of extracted human lower molars. Dentin bonding agent was applied after acid etching for groups of Rely-X ARC and Z-350. In order to evaluate the shear bond strength on ceramic, lithium disilicate glass ceramic (IPS Empress 2) disks were prepared. Only Rely-X ARC and Z-350 groups were pretreated with hydrofluoric acid and silane. And then each resin cement was adhered to ceramic surface in 2 mm diameter. Physical properties and shear bond strengths were measured using a universal testing machine. Results were as follows 1. BisCem showed the lowest compressive strength, diametral tensile strength and flexural strength. (P<0.05) 2. Self-adhesive resin cements showed significantly lower shear bond strength on the dentin and lithium disilicate ceramic than Rely-X ARC and Z-350 (P<0.05) In conclusion, self-adhesive resin cements represent the lower physical properties and shear bond strength than a conventional resin cement.
