A Study on the Characteristics of Thyristor Controlled Shunt Compensator (싸이리스터제어 병렬보상기의 특성 연구)

  • This paper studies the operational characteristics of thyristor controlled shunt compensator in a simple power t transmission system. With Fourier series representation of the thyristor switching action and the system parameters, t the thyristor current equations are derived, which transmit the required real power of the simple power transmission s system. Bisection algorithm is used to solve the thyristor current equations, which informs the thyristor firing an밍e, t the thyristor conduction an밍e, the power flows and the harmonic characteristics. The stability analysis is performed w with the theory of Poincare mapping for the nonlinear discrete periodic dynamic system. EMTP simulations at the v various operating points show the transient characteristics of the thyristor controlled shunt compensator and C correspond to the results calculated with Fourier series representation and the stability analysis.

가스절연개폐장치에 있어서 급준과도진동파 전압의 발생과 절연특성

  • 가스 절연개폐장치(GIS)에 있어서 단로기 또는 차단기의 개폐조작시나 자락고장이 생겼을 때는 급준과도전압(VFT)가 발생한다. 이 급준파의 크기는 단로기의 개폐조작시 재점호가 일어날 때가 대지절연파괴를 일으킬때의 극간전압차에 의하여 결정되며, 반사와 전반에 의해 중첩된 진행파로 되는 이른바 급준과도과전압(VFTO)로 된다. 이 VFT의 상승율은 표준뢰임펄스전압보다 크며, 최초의 파두장은 4-7[ns]의 것도 있다. 또 이 VFT전압은 GIS내부 뿐만 아니라 가공 송전선과 대지간, GIS의 용기와 대지사이 등 외부에도 나타난다. 따라서 GIS의 내부와 외부에서 VFT의 스트레스가 나타나므로 GIS의 설계시에 충분히 고려하여야만 된다. 지락고장에 의해 발생되는 용기과도전압(TEV)도 불꽃방전시에는 인가전압의 2배 정도로 되는 경우도 있으므로 절연설계 및 현장시험시에 고려할 필요가 있다. 단로기의 개폐조작시 발생하는 VFT의 피이크치를 최악의 경우로 상정할 때는 절연레벨을 상당히 저하시키며, 특히 GIS내에 돌기물과 같은 이물질이 존재하여 불평등전계를 형성할 때는 절연파괴전압이 대단히 전하된다. 변압기나 부싱 등과 같은 전력기기에서는 외함과 접지사이의 전압을 제한하여 설계할 필요가 있으며 용기와 대지사이의 외부과도과전압(FTO)를 저감시키기 위해서는 GIS의 외함을 각각 분할하여 제작할 필요가 있다.

  • This paper describes the application of Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) to Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor (TCSC) which can have significant impact on Power system dynamics. The function of the FLC is to control the firing angle of the TCSC. We tuned the scaling factors of the FLC using Tabu Search. The proposed FLC is used for damping the low frequency oscillations caused by disturbances such as the sudden changes of small of large loads or the outages in the generators or transmission lines. To evaluate usefulness of the proposed FLC. we performed the computer simulation for single-machine infinite system. The response of FLC is compared with that of PD controller optimized using Tabu Search. Simulation results that the FLC shows the better control performance than PD controller.

  • 본 논문에서는 12펄스 위상제어 정류기 및 수동 필터와 능동필터로 구성된 KCCH 싸이클로트론 전자석용 고정밀, 고안정 전류 전원장치를 위한 각 구성 부분의 제어 및 설계 특징은 다음과 같다. 12펄스 싸이리스터 컨버터의 출력전압 제어를 위하여 아날로그 phase-locked oscillator 점호방식과 함께 부하에 비해 빠른 동특성을 가지는 내부 전압제어 루프를 구성하여, 입력전원과 변압기의 불평형에 의해 발생하는 저차고조파를 줄어들게 하였다. LC 수동필터와 MOSFET으로 구성된 능동필터를 직렬로 연결하여 출력전압 리플을 허용치 이하로 낮추었다. 12펄스 컨버터 출력전압 리플의 최대 peak-to-peak값이 0.1% 이하가 되도록 수동필터 값을 설계하였으며 설계과정을 제시하였다. 16bit D/A와 A/D에 의해 디지털로 제어되는 pass bank MOSFET 레귤레이터는 출력리플의 slow drift 제어와 설정치 값의 정확한 제어를 가능하게 한다. 또한 MOSFET는 전압 구동형 소자이며 turn-on 전류 도통 시에 양의 저항계수를 갖기 때문에, 첫째 전류 구동소자에 비해 간단한 구동회로를 가지며, 둘째 소자의 병렬 연결이 용이하다는 이점을 갖는다. 본 논문에서는 전류 전원장치 각 부분의 설계에 대하여 상세한 설계결과를 제시하며, 실험결과를 통하여 제안된 설계방식의 우수한 정적 및 동적 특성을 입증한다.

  • 원자로의 제어봉 구동장치에 공급되는 전력을 제어하는 전력함 전력제어기는 DSP를 이용하여 디지털 시스템으로 설계하였다. 전력제어기는 Master/Slave 형태로 이중화되어 신뢰성이 향상시켰고 전력제어기의 CPU 보드에는 제어용과 통신용 두 개의 DSP를 사용하여 전력제어기의 주 기능인 제어/감시와 통신 기능을 분리하여 담당시켰다. 전력제어기에 요구되는 이러한 기능들을 효과적으로 수행하도록 CPU 보드에 디지털 논리구현 장치인 FPGA를 설치하여 메모리 주소 및 각 부품의 칩 선택 신호를 생성, 이중화 전력제어기 상호간 신호 수수, 각종 고장 검출 및 점호각 신호 발생 등의 역할을 하도록 하였다.

  • Induction motors are used widely in driving load of a fluid, such as a pump or a fan in the industry. Induction motor has been generated the voltage drop by the occurrence of a high current during startup. In addition, high start-up current can act as a mechanical stress on the shaft of the motor. So there is need a way to reduce the starting current. Soft start method is one of the many ways to reduce the starting current. This method uses silicon-controlled rectifiers(SCRs) for varying value of the voltage applied to the motor. There is a case for fixing or changing the thyristor firing angle to adjust the magnitude of the voltage. Starting power factor of induction motor is very low compared to the normal operation. Soft starting with the firing angle fixed needs to be considered a low power factor at startup. In this study, we compared the direct start characteristics and soft start characteristics considering the low power factor at the time of start-up. It was possible to confirm that the starting current and the voltage drop is present differently according to the firing angle.

  • This paper proposed the voltage compensation analysis method in distribution system by EMTP. SVC (Static Var Compensator) of the thyristor controlled reactor type is used for compensation system. EMTP(E1ectr-o Magnetic Transient Program) model of SVC is proposed to analysis the voltage improvement characteristics at the high voltage system bus. It is composed with three parts ; rms detector, voltage regulator and gate pulse generator. The control signal of TCR is determined by rms value which was measured in system. As the result of EMTP simulation, all of the SVC characteristics like TCR current, firing pulse and bus voltage is very reliable. This method could be used to analysis the planning and the operation of compensation system in the large scale factory.

Selection of Glyphosate Resistant Cell Lines in Alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) (알팔파의 Glyphosate 저항성 세포주 선발)

  • Calli were induced from the cotyledon and the hypocotyl of alfalfa and the callus lines were tested for the resistance to glyphosate in the liquid medium containing 0.01-3.00 mM glyphosate. Some resistant cell lines were selected from the gradual increase of glyphosate concentration and the lines resistant to 10 mM glyphosate were analyzed with EPSPS activity. Vigorous callus proliferation from the cotyledon and the hypocotyl was observed from the MS medium containing 1 mg/L 2,4-D and 0.5 mg/L kinetin. The hypocotyl was thought to be better explant source for callus induction than the cotyledon. $ID_{50}$ (Inhibition Dosage of 50%) to glyphosate was between 0.1 mM and 0.2 mM level. A49-10G and A58-10G cell lines selected as resistant to 10 mM glyphosate had 8.0 and 9.1 fold increased EPSPS activity to those of the control lines, respectively.

Energy and Speed Characteristics of Induction Coil-Gun (유도형 코일건의 에너지 및 속도특성 해석)

  • This paper describes the energy and speed characteristics of an induction coil-gun. The coil-gun has some merits that it can be easily installed and repeatedly used many times, it does not damage mechanically in the course of launch and the force exerted on the projectile is distributed uniformly. An equivalent circuit is employed for modeling the coil-gun. The circuit equations and equation of motion are then derived based on the equivalent circuit. These equations are solved numerically by using Runge-Kutta method. Finally the energy transfer ratios are obtained according to the variations of the resonant frequency of driving circuit and charging voltage of capacitors. The muzzle velocities of projectile are also obtained according to the variations of electrical conductivity and initial position of projectile, firing angle of driving circuit, charging voltage of capacitor and resistance of driving coil, respectively.

  • A new control algorithm of soft starter is proposed for the reduction of the inrush current during the grid connection of the induction-type wind power generator. Currently, the fixed speed wind turbine using induction generator is the most popular wind generation system in Korea. It is shown that the amount of inrush current mainly depends on the control algorithm of the soft starter, a thyristor-based grid connection device. For the simulation study, a 600kw wind turbine simulation model is developed and the transient waveforms are investigated with conventional md proposed methods. Also experimental results using 3.7kW experimental set-up show that the peak value of inrush current is reduced about 20$\%$ using proposed algorithm.
