Fabrication and Characteristics of X-ray Position Detection Sensor (방사선 위치 검출센서의 제작 및 특성)

  • A microstrip gas chamber (MSGC), applied to digital radiography system, was designed and constructed. The microstrip electrodes were fabricated with Chrome(Cr.). by photolithography process on Silicon(Si) wafer and glass substrate. The width of anode and cathode electrodes was $10{\mu}m$, and $290{\mu}m$, respectively. The distance of the electrodes was $100{\mu}m$, and the active area was $50{\times}50mm^2$. And the number of anode was 80. The microstrip electrodes were damaged when discharges occurred over the 600 V of anode voltage. As the result of experiments. It detected the typical output signals of the pulse width, 20 ns, under the condition that the detecting gas was Ar(90%) + $CH_4$(10%), X-ray tube voltage was 42 kV, and tube current was 1 mA.

  • 군사적, 산업적 용도로 널리 활용되고 있는 적외선 검출기는 InSb, HgCdTe(MCT)와 같은 물질들을 감지 소자로 사용하고 있다. 현재 가장 많이 사용되는 MCT는 적외선의 전 영역을 감지할 수 있는 장점이 있지만, 대면적 제작이 어려운 단점이 있다. 이에 비해 InSb는 안정적인 재료의 특성, 높은 전하이동도($1.2\times10^6\;cm^2/Vs$) 그리고 대면적 소자 제작의 가능성 등이 높게 평가되어 차세대 적외선 검출소자로 각광 받고 있다. InSb 적외선 수광 소자는 1970년대부터 미국을 중심으로 이온주입, MOCVD 또는 MBE와 같은 다양한 공정을 이용하여 제작되어 왔으며, 앞으로도 군수용 제품을 비롯하여 산업전반에서 더욱 각광을 받을 것으로 예상된다. 하지만 InSb는 77 K에서 0.225 eV의 상대적으로 작은 밴드갭을 갖고 있기 때문에 누설전류로 인한 성능저하가 고질적인 문제로 대두되었고, 이를 해결하기 위한 고품질 절연막 연구가 InSb 적외선 수광 소자 연구의 주요 이슈 중 하나가 되어왔다. PECVD, photo-CVD, anodic oxidation 등의 공정을 이용하여 $SiO_2$, $Si_3N_4$, 양극산화막(anodic oxide) 등 다양한 물질들에 대한 연구가 진행되었고[1,2], 산화막과 반도체 계면에서의 열확산을 억제하여 계면트랩밀도를 최소화하기 위한 연구도 활발히 이루어졌다[3]. 하지만 InSb 소자의 성능개선을 위한 최적화된 산화막에 대한 연구는 여전히 불충분한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 n형 (100) InSb 기판 (n = 0.2 ~ $0.85\times10^{15}cm^{-3}$ @ 77 K)을 이용하여 양극산화막, $SiO_2$, $Si_3N_4$ 등을 증착하고 절연막으로서 이들의 특성을 비교 분석하였다. 양극산화막은 상온에서 1 N KOH 용액을 이용하여 양극산화법으로 증착하였으며, $SiO_2$, $Si_3N_4$는 PECVD로 $150^{\circ}C$에서 $300^{\circ}C$까지 온도를 변화시켜가며 증착하였다. SEM분석과 XPS분석으로 두께의 균일도와 절연막의 조성, 계면확산 정도를 확인하였으며, I-V와 C-V 커브측정을 통해 각 절연막의 전기적 특성을 평가하였다. 이 분석들을 통해 각각의 공정 조건에 따른 절연막의 상태를 전기적 특성과 관련지어 설명할 수 있었다.

  • With the help of technical development in the electronic industries, the electronic devices employing the cutting-edged technology are spread in all the area requiring electromagnetic communications. Especially, because of the presence of electronic devices in a variety of research fields like automotive vehicle, train, and aircraft, the research area such as the malfunction and critical damage of the internal system and microwave devices due to the unexpected radiated high-powered EM effects are very important even for the possible occurrence of human damage. In this paper, the effects of electromagnetic fields into the cable connecting the electronic devices and many sensors inside the target structure is treated because of potential malfunction or hardware disorders. In addition, correlation function and transmission line theory have been employed for the analysis of the induced current on the cable inside an electrically large resonant structure.

  • This paper presents smart laundry management system using wireless Radio Frequnecy Identification (RFID) reader for efficient managing a large amount of laundry and clothing. The proposed system is comprised of wireless RFID hanger, base module connected on PC, and server system. The wireless RFID hanger with RFID reader read RFID tag attached on clothes and transmit tag information using wireless communication. The server system manage customers and his clothing using Database (DB) and display the information on the web page and smart phone devices. Since the proposed system operates with battery, we can evaluate its lifetime to measure current consumption. The designed system can be utilized to manage quantities of clothes and also it will be a good service to improve efficiency of laundry process.

  • This paper presents an Implementation of digital high-performance position sensorless control system of Reluctance Synchronous Motor(RSM) drives with Direct Torque Control(DTC). The system consists of stator flux observer, speed and torque estimator, two digital hysteresis controllers, an optimal switching look-up table, Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor(IGBT) voltage source inverter, and TMS320C31 DSP board. The stator flux observer Is based on the combined voltage and current model with stator flux feedback adaptive control of which inputs are current and voltage sensed on motor terminal for wide speed range. In order to prove the suggested sensorless control algorithm for industrial field application, we have some simulation and actual experiment at low and high speed range. The developed high-performance speed control by fully digital system are shown a good response characteristic of control results and high performance features using 1.0[kW] RSM having 2.57 reluctance ratio of $L_d/L_q$.

  • In this paper, a low-cost impedance spectroscopy system(LCISS) suitable for modeling the electrochemical power sources such as fuel cells, batteries and supercapacitors is designed and implemented. Since the developed LCISS is composed of simple sensor circuits, commercial data acquisition board and LabVIEW software, a graphic language with powerful HMI(Human-Machine Interface), it is expected ta be widely used in substitution of the expensive EIS instruments. In the proposed system, the digital lock-in amplifier is adopted to achieve the accurate measurements even in the presence of the high level of noises. The developed hardware and software is applied to measure the impedance spectrum of the Ballard Nexa 1.2kW proton exchange membrane fuel cell stack and an equivalent impedance model is proposed based on the measurement results. The validity of the proposed equivalent circuit and the developed system is proven by the measurement of the ac power losses of the PEM fuel celt stack by the ripple current.

  • The reflector of infrared lamp is designed to the optimal circular shape through the analyses of lumination distributions with a triangular, rectangular and circular configurations of infrared lamps respectively by using Photopia. PLC is used to compare and amplify the difference between soldering temperature profile and feedback value. It is fed to IR lamp controller which adjusts the soldering temperature of PV cell. The soldering temperature measured using an infrared temperature sensor is then fed back to the PLC. The closed control loop of soldering temperature on a PV cell is implemented. The noncontact soldering device of PV cells using infrared lamp which is easily operated by HMI operation panel and controlled robustly by PLC and IR lamp controller is developed.

Study on Basic Properties of Single Crystalline ZnO Nanowire (단결정 산화아연 나노선의 기초 물성 연구)

  • We fabricated the field effect transistor using single crystalline ZnO nanowires synthesized by a conventional thermal evaporation method and investigated their basic properties under the various conditions such as ultraviolet irradiation, reducing gas and electrolyte. The typical carrier concentration and mobility of the single crystalline ZnO nanowire with a diameter of 100 nm and length of 5 um were $1.30{\times}10^{18}cm^{-3}$ and $15.6cm^2V^{-1}s^{-1}$, respectively. The current of ZnO nanowire under ultraviolet irradiation significantly increased about 400 times higher as compared to in the darkness. In addition, the ZnO nanowire showed typical sensing characteristics for $H_2$ and CO due to well-known surface reactions and typical current-voltage characteristics under the 0.1 M NaCl electrolyte.

  • In this paper, recently, it is described to the piezoelectric transformer technology develops, because it was have to favorable characteristics such as electromagnetic-noise free, compact size, higher efficiency, and superior power density, flux linkage, noiseless, etc. its resonance frequency was used to output waveform of a sine wave. A rotor speed identification method of induction motor based on the theory of flux model reference adaptive system(FMRAS). The estimator execute the rotor speed identification so that the vector control of the induction motor may be achieved. The improved auxiliary variable of the model are introduced to perform accurate rotor speed estimation. The control system is composed of the PI controller for speed control and the current controller using space voltage vector PWM techniuqe and DC-DC converter. High speed calculation and processing for vector control is carried out by digital signal one chip microprocessor. Validity of the proposed control method is verified through simulation and experimental results.

  • 본 연구는 방사선 영상센서 적용을 위한 $HgI_2$ 필름의 특성 평가에 관한 것으로서 X-선 조사조건별 인가전압에 따른 검출신호 특성을 조사하였다. 기존의 $HgI_2$ 검출기의 경우 신호량이 크다는 장점이 있으나 노이즈의 양이 크다. 이에 대한 해결책으로 보호층을 삽입하나 이 경우 X-선 조사에 따른 시간 응답 특성이 있어서 전하트랩현상(tailing effect)에 의한 영향이 크게 존재하였다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하고자 보호층으로써 a-Se 을 삽입하여 기존의 $HgI_2$ 검출기에서 사용되어지는 parlyene이 삽입된 검출기와 전기적 특성을 측정, 비교해보고자 한다. 제작방식으로는 대면적 제작이 용이한 스크린 프린팅 방식을 이용하여 두께 $140\;{\mu}m$$3\;cm\;{\times}\;2\;cm$ 면적으로 제조하였다. 측정결과, a-Se을 보호층으로 사용한 $HgI_2$ 필름이 민감도는 거의 비슷하나 누설전류가 안정화 되는데 걸리는 감소시간(decay time)이 parlyene을 사용한 구조에 비해 훨씬 낮았다. 또한 X선에 대한 민감도는 기존의 a-Se에 비해 월등히 높아 적은 방사선 조사량(radiation dose)에서도 신호검출이 가능하여 저선량이 요구되는 방사선 투시촬영(digital fluoroscopy) 적용에 유용할 것으로 기대된다.
