  • Power IT is very important infrastructure in the country. In general, Power IT is disclosed to cyber attacks. To enhance cyber security in Power IT area, first of all, vulnerability in the area should be defined. In this paper, we consider the cyber security vulnerability in Power IT and introduce the vulnerability. Also, we suggest the research areas for enhancing cyber security in Power IT.

  • In this study, a compact hydrogen liquefaction system was constructed with the aim of creating a data storage and monitoring program for liquid hydrogen production. This program was designed to receive and record signals from diverse control equipment through the LabVIEW software. A range of measurement instruments were devised to collect data, encompassing variables such as flow rate, pressure, temperature, and liquid level. As a result, it was possible to directly check the production of liquid hydrogen by obtaining various data of condensed liquid hydrogen. In addition, it was confirmed that long-term storage of liquid hydrogen is possible by developing automatic ON/OFF through the LabVIEW program.

  • In this study, the theoretical analysis focused on the quantity of liquid hydrogen required for cooling down to 20 K, as well as the generation of boil-off gas (BOG) from the cooling process of the cryogenic components. The study involved calculating the amount of liquid hydrogen needed to achieve the desired temperature for the cryogenic components and subsequently determining the resulting BOG production at various reference temperatures. It was shown that it was important to efficiently lower the temperature of cryogenic parts through preliminary cooling. As a result, the reference temperature and pressure had an influence on the BOG generation on the cooling of cryogenic components using liquid hydrogen.

  • In total electric fire in Korea in 2006, a rate of the electric fire caused of short in electric wire is over 63.2[%]. It is needed to study a fire potentiality in electric wire. This paper studies contact and fire potentiality between a electric wire and conductors existed around the electric wire. As amplitude of current in electric wire is bigger, as it has higher possibility to contact between a electric wire and conductors existed around the electric wire. In case of temperature of wire is over combustion point of outer sheath, it is appeared to spark discharge between wire and conductors. So the fire potentiality raise up.

  • lateral insulated gate bipolar transistors(LIGBTs) are extensively used in high voltage power IC application due to their low forward voltage drops. One of the main disadvantages of the LIGBT is its scow switching speed when compared to the LDMOSFET. And the LIGBT with reverse channel structure is lower current capability than the conventional LIGBT at the forward conduction mode. In this paper, the LIGBT which included p+ ring and p-channel gate is presented at the reverie channel structure. The presented LIGBT structure is proposed to suppress the latch up, efficiently and to improve the turn off time. It is shown to improve the current capability too. It is verified 2-D simulator, MEDICI. It is shown that the latch up current of new LIGBT is 10 times than that of the conventional LIGBT Additionally, it is shown that the turn off characteristics of the proposed LIGBT is i times than that of the conventional LIGBT. It is net presented the tail current of turn off characteristics at the proposed structure. And the presented LIGBT is not n+ buffer layer because it includes p channel gate and p+ ring.

  • 친환경적 전기자동차에 대한 관심이 커짐에 따라 전력의 효율적인 저장과 관리를 위한 대용량 배터리에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행 중이다. 배터리 용량의 극대화, 안정성, 그리고 수명 등을 위한 다양한 셀 밸런싱 방법들이 소개되고 있다. 기존 패시브 셀 밸런싱 방법은 하드웨어의 기능을 수행하는 것에 초점을 맞추어 배터리 상태에 따라 다양한 반응을 정의하기 어려움으로 효과적인 운용에 한계가 있다. 본 논문에서는 소프트웨어 에이전트 모델을 적용한 배터리 셀 밸런싱 시스템을 제안하며 에이전트가 현재 전압과 온도를 고려한 셀 밸런싱을 수행함으로 고속 충전시에 발생하는 셀간 전압차를 최소화 한다. 또한 충전의 신속성과 셀 전압 안정성을 유지한다. 현재 연구 개발 중인 카이스트 온라인 전기자동차에서 사용 예정인 배터리 관리시스템 기반 시뮬레이션을 수행함으로 제안하는 방법의 유용성을 입증하였다.

Mineralogical Studies of the Tourmaline for Medicinal Applications by Production Localities (본초 광물로서의 활용을 위한 산지별 전기석의 광물학적 연구)

  • In this study, we have performed electron probe micro analyzer (EPMA), X-ray differaction (XRD), inductively coupled plasma spectroscopy (ICP), Fourier transform Raman spectroscopy (FT-Raman), far-infrared (FIR), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and pH-DO Analyses for characterizing medicinal mineralogy aspect of the black tourmaline (Shantung, china), black and pink tourmaline (Minas Geraris, Brazil), black touemaline (Daeyu mine, Korea). In addition, heating effects of the tourmaline sauna as well as the effects of tourmaline powder-added soap on skin troubles have been investigated. It has been revealed that chemical composition of the tourmaline is either high in Fe-, Al-, B-rich types. Ratio of the K-Ca, Na-K, and Fe-B reflects the component change property of solid solution. $CaO/CaO+Na_2O$ and MgO/FeO+MgO ratio show high positive correlation. When tourmaline reacts with distilled water, extended reaction time DO values approximately decrease and it stabilizes at DO = 10. Otherwise, pH values increase until 6 hours and it stabilizes at pH = 8 after 24 hours. Distilled water changes to alkaline when it reacts with tourmaline powder and particles. Tourmaline showed lower absorption spectrum strength and transmittance at short wave, where absorption spectrum wavelength and strength were determined by the content of the composition elements and characteristics of crystallography. Increase of the Fe content has been confirmed to be the cause for the reduction of irradiation. For the chemical composition and spectral property of the tourmaline particle samples, it has been found that Si and Fe contents show positive correlation with Far-Infrared irradiation, while Al and Mg contents show negative correlation. For tourmaline powder, it has been confirmed that $^{17}O-NMR$ FWHM (full width at half maximum) decreases when reacts with distilled water. Tourmaline sauna (approximately $100^{\circ}C$) was found to increase $0.5-1.5^{\circ}C$ of body temperature, average of 12 heartbeat, and 10mg Hg of blood pressure. Tourmaline soap had very good aesthetic effect to skin and was confirmed to have above the average improvements to skin troubles (e.g., allergy or atopy).

End Edge Cogging Force Minimization according to the Distance between Armatures of Stationary Discontinuous Armature PMLSM with Concentrated Winding (전기자 분산배치 집중권 PMLSM의 전기자 간격에 따른 단부 코깅력 최소화)

  • Currently, The general transportation system arranges the armature on the full length of transportation lines. However, when this method is applied to the long distance transportation system, it causes an increase of material cost and manufacturing time. Thus, in order to resolve this problem, discontinuous arrangement method of the armature has been proposed. However, in the method of using stationary discontinuous armatures, mover can stop in the freewheeling section which is non-installations section when disturbance is generated and the mover can not be moved because armature control is impossible. Thus, the distance determination of armature is very important. Also, when the armature is arranged discontinuously the edge always exists due to the structure. Due to this edge, the cogging force is greatly generated during the entry and ejection of the mover to the armature. This cogging force causes thrust force ripple generating noise, vibration and decline of performance, it must be reduced. Therefore, in this paper, we examined the end edge cogging force generated by the stationary discontinuous armatures through 2-D numerical analysis using finite element method (FEM) and we figured out distance of armature for end edge cogging force minimization.
