Development of Automatic Transferring Motor Driver for a Two-Motors-Driven Electrical Scooter (전후륜 자동절환기능을 갖는 2륜 전기오토바이용 모터 드라이버 개발)

  • We developed to have an automatic transferring function of a two-motors-driven electrical scooter for women or seniors to use conveniently it since it has been previously to operate it in manual only. The function would be implemented by using master and slave micro-control units(MCU) in the system with the given input and output signals. The simulation and test of the system results show that the transition conditions of either higher accelerating speed and/or higher torque are demonstrated at the worst conditions, which means that the transition points might be set either at the 70% of accelerating speed or from the 100% of load torque. The developed equipment is very useful and has good performance in the real test and would be used for top brand and might be applicable to any other types of green cars.

  • A conventional power supply of a microwave oven has a 60Hz transformer and high voltage capacitor(HVC). Though it is very simple and has low cost, it has several problems such as large size, heavy weight and low efficiency To improve these problems, various high frequency inverter type power supply have been investigated and developed in recent years. But these cost is higher than the conventional one due to additional control circuit, fast switching devces. In this paper, a novel pulse power supply for microwave oven using high frequency transformer embedded HVC(High Voltage Capacitor) is proposed for down-sizing, cost reduction and efficient improvement. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed transformer, an equivalent circuit of transformer embedded HVC is derived and it's characteristic is described. And the validity of the proposed pulse power supply embedded HVC-high frequency transformer is shown by simulations and experiments accroding to various operating conditions.

Experimental Verification on the Use of Steelwork as a Down-Conductor in Lightning Protection System (인하도선으로 활용하기 위한 철근콘크리트구조물의 전기 및 기계적 소요 특성에 대한 실험적 검증)

  • This paper verified the characteristics of electrical continuity and mechanical strength of steelwork required to use it as a down-conductor in lightning protection system. It was proven that the steelwork in reinforced concrete apartment has an excellent electrical continuity with low resistance(less than 0.2[${\Omega}$].). But it was confirmed that a poor connection between two reinforcement bars can easily cause serious damages of the concrete even with the impulsive current of 50[kA], 10/350[${\mu}s$]. These results of experiments mean that the additional measures are necessary in using the steelwork as the down-conductor of the lightning protection system.

  • This paper describes electrical properties such as electrical conduction characteristics and space charge distributions of polyaniline/polystyrene conducting blends. It is interesting to note that the charging current decreased as the temperature was elevated when DC voltage was applied, and also the hopping distance decreased with the increase of temperature for the PANI/HIPS blends, while generally, the hopping distance decreases as the charging current increases. It is exposed that this result is opposed to widely known phenomenon. It could be examined viewing space charge distributions by a pulsed electroacoustic (PEA) method.

  • Recently it is becoming more common to apply vehicle electronics(Vetronics) based on information technology to improve the operability of the combat vehicles. Although the vehicle electronics system has been gradually developed, it is hard not only to design the reliable system which is a built-in multi-function but also to analyze the fault failure in the state of on-vehicle when failures occur. Therefore, It is required the data logging system like a aircraft's black box for the combat vehicles to enhance the reliability. In this paper, we developed the multi data acquisition and analysis device which is acquiring real-time data such as communication data, video data and voice data available for checking operational status of system and managing history. The performance of device has been proved on the vehicle.

  • ln this paper, it was reported the developed results of the monitoring unit for 72.5kY GIS which it is one part of the monitoring system for the substation that Korea Railway Company is promoting. In order to monitor the operational status of GIS, four parameters were chosen: the number of times of the circuit breaker switching, tightness of the gas-sealed units (circuit breaker / disconnecting switch / earthing switch), the number of times of the lightning arrestor operating and the leakage current of the lighting arrester. We constructed the monitoring system that can be judged the operating condition of the GIS from the signal of the suitable sensor for the purpose. Therefore, it is possible to on line monitoring for the condition of the GlS without efforts of the Periodic inspection.

  • It is important to investigate the molecular arrangement and the orientational distribution in the study of LB films. Polarized UV/visible absorption spectra make it possible to reveal the molecular arrangement and the orientational distribution. It is clarified that the PAAS LB films have specific directions in the molecular arrangement and the orientational distribution, which art different in intensity corresponding to the surface pressure. Unpolarized UV/visible absorption spectra reveal that the surface pressure is proportional to the finn thickness and is related to the molecular orientation. Current-Voltage(I-V) measurements provide that the current decreases as the surface pressure increases and there are certain phenomena called switching phenomena. Switching effort indicates that the current flows in high conductivity during on-state and suddenly decreases into low conductivity during off-state.

  • SRM has been applied to many commercial applications that require economical advantages and high performance abilities. But it has some drawbacks such as acoustic noise due to the abrupt change of mmf level when commutation. The abrupt change of a phase excitation produces mechanical stresses and it results in torque ripple and noise. This paper deals with an analysis of vibration and noise in SRM drive. Several types of excitation method are taken into account. The 1-phase and 2-phase excitation technique of short-pitch winding 2-phase excitation technique of full-pitch winding are tested. The acoustic noise is reduced remarkably through the sequential phase excitation in the 2-phase excitation. It is because that the scheme reduces abrupt change of excitation level by distributed balanced excitation with free-wheeling during commutation.

Negative Resistance Characteristics and Oscillation Phenomena of Oriented Polypropylene Film (OOP 필름의 부성저항 특성과 발진 현상)

  • In this paper, the electrical conduction phenomena of oriented polypropylene film were studied. Especially, as for the range of negative characteristics, it is observed that as increasing ambient temperature, the characteristics are shifted gradually towards the low intensity side of applied field with the decreasing width of the range as well as the fact that the current oscillation takes place at the both transition points of the characteristics. Finally, it is also suggestive that the oscillation characteristics observed on the negative resistance range of the biaxially oriented specimen show the possibility to utilize it as active element materials.
