A Study on Improvement of Specialized High School of Electrical Field-to-Work Transition by SWOT Analysis (전기·전자·통신 분야 특성화고등학교의 SWOT 분석을 이용한 학교에서 일터로의 전이 개선 방안)

  • The purpose of this study is to improve specialized high school of electrical field-to-work transition by a SWOT Analysis. The subject analyzed the curricula of 12 special highschool and surveyed 192 vocational teachers of them. In this study, a SWOT matrix was filled to improve transition from electric special high school to work, and the results was gotten as follows: First, the government should offer the military service special case for students of electric special high school, strengthen the course of CEO for the school master, and make the system to expand job training. Second, the provincial office of education should aid a functional training with a administrative ability and financial support, offer a list of industry visiting teachers to specialized high school, and promote a modification of the department according to a growth industry of the area. Third, each school should present a school education goal agreed with the purpose of specialized department and intensify the counselling of job selection and the application of the approved textbook.

Analysis of the Public Rental Housing Default in Korea (공공건설 임대주택의 부도 실태에 관한 연구)

  • The Korean Government has provided public rental housing to stabilize civilian dwelling. However, unreliable management of public rental housing threatens the stability of residency. This study analyzes the default of public rental housing and the cause of default through a case study, which was intended for the residents in apartment complexes in danger of default. It also suggests countermeasures to cope with the problem of public rental housing. The results are listed as follows. First, rental housing apartments contribute a lot to the housing stability policy. On the other hand, the default of housing development, which is derived from the bankruptcy of housing management companies and the negligent control of government, brings about a serious problem for housing stability. Second, although the government has made a steady effort to solve this default problem, 9000 residents from 8 apartment complexes in Korea have experienced extreme unstable residency. Third, there are many causes for the default of public rental housing such as unqualified management companies and cursory monitoring by the government. The fundamental solution is to prevent public rental housing management companies from managing, or to build a new management system of public rental housing. To solve this problem, it's recommendable to delete the application term in the special law on the default of public rental housing so that it can be applied to all default apartments. If it is not possible to perform the policy for financial reasons, a new supply of civil housing provided by private companies needs to be re-examined completely or banned.

  • Due to the sustained increase in lifts expectancy, the number and proportion of the aged population has substantially increased, the proportion of the total population aged 65 and over was 7.1% in 2000 and 14.3% in 2022. But All public pension schemes in Korea, including the National Pension scheme, civil servants pension scheme, private school teachers pension scheme and the military pension scheme, are facing valving degree of financial problems at present because of their weak and unstable financial bases. with the result that some of them have recorded deficits for some time and the others are expected to run deficits in the near future. This crisis in financial sustainability in public pension schemes is attributable to the structural weakness of the schemes which can be characterized as high benefits, low contribution. Therefore, this article focuses on alternative of public pension schemes reform in Korea. The results is as follows. First, a basic pension is proposed to be newly established and the earnings related portion of National Pension Scheme will be as national pension. Secondly, the Basic Pension is a universal basic pension covering all nationals over 18 years and older, thereby achieving \"one pension for everybody\" Thirdly, National Pension will be operated as an earnings related pension covering only those participants with assessed income. Fourth1y, the current participants of public occupational pensions will also join the Basic Pension as well as the public occupational pensions whose scope of works will be reduced. And finally, The conversion of Retirement Allocation Scheme into a corporate pension should be left to the discretion of the company concerned.

Comparative study of the Regional Economic Power of the Korean 5+2 Mega-regional Economic Zones (5+2광역경제권의 지역경제력 비교연구)

  • This paper as basic work on the regional economic policy of Korean government considers economic conditions and fundamentals of the cold started 5+2 mega-regional economic zones and makes a comparative study of regional economic power of national mega-regional economic zones based on the established economic indicator. Therefore, this study aims to consider henceforward policy direction of the mega-regional economic zone and the validity of the regional economic policy, which promote autonomous mega-regional economic zone in dimension to secure the global competitiveness. According to the comparison result of regional economic power index, the capital area had absolute superiority, while Gangwon, Honam and Jeju areas were relatively weak. Since the given regional conditions are dissimilar, the government must consider regional characteristics and economic fundamentals carefully, as they push henceforth regional development policy for the mega-regional economic zone. What is more, the government should promote a balance of the regional development, through to maintain demand-based policy and demand-pull policy flexibly, which are based on demand analysis, as well as unequal quota budget and policy for regions, which are relatively falling behind in terms of development and income.

Relation between Cultural Condition and Occurrence of Internal Cavity in Red Ginseng (재배조건(栽培條件)이 홍삼(紅參)의 내공발생(內空發生)에 미치는 영향(影響))

  • The occurrence of internal cavity of in red ginseng is one of critical quality criteria. The occurrence of internal cavity mainly due to fresh ginseng character that is determined by growth conditions. Growth conditions and percent occurrence of internal cavity were investigated on various ginseng plantations for 6 years and the relation. ships among them were statistically analysed. In addition, field experiments were carried out seperately for the effect of special factors. 1. Internal cavity in red ginseng mainly occurred on area between central part and cortex part of tap root in red ginseng. It was suppose to be caused by characteristics of fresh ginseng. 2. Soil moisture decreased percent occurrence of internal cavity(PIC) above 27.5 % of PIC and increased below it. 3. The factors of shade structure with high intensity of light condition tend to increase PIC. PIC was decreased below 15.9 % of light transmittance rate and increased above it.

Teacher's Recognition and Needs about STEAM Education in Specialized High Schools for Technical fields (공업계열 특성화고 교사의 STEAM 교육에 대한 인식과 요구도)

  • This study is to analyze teacher's recognition and needs of STEAM education in specialized high schools for technical fields. For this study, survey using questionnaire was applied to teachers in specialized high schools for technical fields. This study includes the recognition and the needs on STEAM education of general and industrial subject teachers in specialized high schools for technical fields. In order to carry on this study, 655 questionnaires were collected from teachers of 16 specialized high schools for technical fields in the whole country. Practically, 611 questionnaires (257 of normal subject teachers and 398 of industrial subject teachers) were used for this study. As a result, it is known that the needs of STEAM education is larger to industrial subject teachers than general subject teachers. But it is disclosed that STEAM education is more difficult to general subject teachers than industrial subject teachers. In requirements of teaching-learning, general subject teachers only required reference materials, but industrial subject teachers needed STEAM lesson under the same subjects and data sharing system as a priority. General and industrial subject teachers also considered education program development for creative thinking skills and problem solving abilities as a priority. Finally, in the administrative and financial requirement, both of them demand to reduce administrative tasks as a priority.

Differences Between Franchisees and Independent Business Owners - Empirical Evidences and Policy Implications - (가맹점사업자는 자영업자와 어떻게 다른가 - 경험적 증거와 정책적 시사점 -)

  • This study compares the business performances and the socioeconomic and sociopsychological characteristics of franchisees and independent business owners (IBOs). On the basis of extant theoretical arguments and empirical evidences it was expected that franchisees are different from IBOs in these aspects because unlike IBOs they are using franchising as their way of businesses and should satisfy the requirements imposed by franchisors. Analyzed in the current study was a national survey database of 424 franchisees and 5,690 IBOs compiled by the Small Enterprise Development Agency in 2011. As expected, it was found that franchisees were significantly different from IBOs in such traits as financial and managerial capabilities, business experiences, demographic and socio-psychological characteristics, information searching efforts, business performances, and their perceptions of business obstacles. It was also found that the effects of these traits on business performances were quite different between franchisees and IBOs. The findings of the current study provide some meaningful suggestions for government agencies. Given that franchises and IBOs have different traits, their demands for governmental policy should be different, and consequently, it might be argued that government agencies should treat the two groups separately and should increase their efforts to develop appropriate supporting policies for each group. With respect to franchisor's practices for franchisee selection, it is also argued that in order to enhance franchisee performances franchisors need to examine thoroughly the traits of prospect franchisees. This study concludes with discussion of several theoretical and methodological limitations for future research.

An Analysis of Association between Local Festival Evaluation and Visitor Satisfaction: A Case Study of the Local Festival Events in the period of 2012 to 2014 (지역 축제 평가결과와 만족도 간의 관련성 분석: 2012-2014년 축제를 사례로)

  • The evaluation of the local festival events that supports promising local festivals needs to well reflect the degree of success of the local festival events that have been implemented. Many local governments of the country have competitively implemented local festival events, some of which turned to be a success, while others not. This alerts the need for investigating whether the evaluation of the local festival events is appropriate, in order to better execute the provincial finance. The paper investigates this using the data of cultural tourism festivals from 2012 to 2014. More specifically, the paper first examines the relationships between choice dimensions (festival success index) and visitors' satisfaction, and then identify whether visitors' satisfaction and festival evaluation results are significantly correlated. This after all indicates whether the festival success index are well reflected in the festival evaluation results. The findings tell that choice dimensions well explain the visitors' satisfaction, whereas the visitors' satisfaction does not have a significant correlation with the festival evaluation results. This potentially implies that the current scheme of the local festival evaluation needs more rigorous validity test and additional research and practice for the improved evaluation protocol.

Current Status and Policy Issues of Collaborations between Universities and Family Companies in Korea (대학과 가족회사의 산학협력 실태 및 활성화 방안)

  • Family companies are the unique industry-academic cooperation-related systems of Korean universities created by universities to promote various forms of industry-academic cooperation with companies. It is important to figure out the current status of family companies in order to understand the achievements of industrial-academic cooperation projects that have been actively pursued since the early 2000s. A lot of studies on industry-academic cooperation have focused mainly on the university's position. On the contrary, this study focuses on understanding the current status of the family company system and the status of industry-academic cooperation. Introduced in 2004, the Family Company System expanded rapidly as it was used as a performance indicator for college financial support projects related to industry-academic cooperation, with 174,425 companies registered as family companies as of 2017. A survey of family companies registered in universities carrying out the LINC+ project shows that companies registered in multiple universities are increasing, with relatively high demand and satisfaction for industry-academic cooperation among companies. Family companies were found to be relatively satisfied in terms of the use of R&D equipment or joint research, while they were relatively less satisfied in terms of workforce training and retraining. While companies have assessed product quality improvements through industry-academic cooperation, they have underestimated the effect of increasing sales and reducing production costs. Further, it was found that it was urgent to expand incentive systems and improve online information services to boost corporate participation in order to enhance the effectiveness of industry-academic cooperation.

A study on Regional Economic Effects of the logistics complex in Incheon New Port (인천신항 배후물류단지의 지역경제 파급효과 연구)

  • This study estimated the regional economic effects by development of the logistics complex in Incheon New Port, applying the regional Input-Output tables in Incheon. And thereby, we tried to find some strategic implications on the priority to induce more effective industries for activated operation of the logistics complex in ports. According to the results, development of Incheon New Port will generate 2,579 billion KRWs(2.2 billion USDs) of production and 1,783 KRWs(1.5 billion USDs) of value-added annually. And we expect it to induce 38.8 thousand jobs, which is over the national average on the input-output table. By the business type, port logistics industry will contribute to develop regional economy more than any other ones in Incheon. We suggest business firms in port logistics industry to be induced to the logistics complex in Incheon New Port strategically. Until now, development of the logistics complex in Incheon New Port are planned to be postponed to 2015 when construction of the berth facilities, the access sea routes and the hinterland highways are completed. We suggest to invest more public fund, to induce the private capital, and then, to develop the logistics complex in Incheon New Port earlier in an appropriate scale.
