인간은 원시 시대부터 현대에 이르기까지 자신의 신체를 장식함으로서 많은 것을 표현하여 왔다. 신체장식은 미를 추구하고자 하는 인간의 본능적인 욕구에서 비롯되며 개인의 자의식을 표현하고 미적 경험과 심리적인 욕구를 충족시켜줄 뿐만 아니라 한 시대의 사회와 문화의 반영으로서 각 시대에 따른 다양한 상징적 의미와 내적 가치를 내포하고 있다. 과학의 비약적인 발달로 소외되고 혼돈에 처한 현대인들은 그 탈출구를 ‘원시로의 회귀’에서 찾고자 한다. (중략)

The purpose of this study is to consider the formative characteristics of dance sports from such points of view as shapes, colors, material and decorations, and to examine artistic characteristics that are expressed through those elements. As a result, this study shows five artistic characteristics as follows; First, rhythmic characteristic is expressed with repeat of lines that is formed by pleats, shirring or gather, with duplication of ruffle's wave, with gradation of colors, with Moire-effect that is generated with overlap of see-through material, with glossy material that reflects lights to a great extent, with fringe. Second, bodily characteristic emphasizes the beauty of human bodies through direct or indirect body exposure by way of cut-and-open, see-throughness or close adhesion. Third, decorative characteristic is shown with beads, fringe, ruffle, embroidery, shirring, binding, or feather. Fourth, the beauty of female body is manifested to express eroticism, which is culminated by body exposure, body consciousness, use of illuminating or see-through material or colorful trimming. Finally, elegant characteristic is revealed through feminity, sophistication, and harmony that are expressed with black and white colors, see-through material, or bead trimmings.

나라마다 모양과 형태는 다르지만 부적(부작)이 있다. 이 부적은 종교를 떠나 지금은 재미, 장식 등으로도 활용되고 있으며, 심지어 컴퓨터와 휴대전화에도 부적이 자리를 잡고 있다. 그리고 부적의 생활화에는 인쇄라는 매체가 있었기에 가능할 수 있었다. 이에 본지에서는 인쇄가 부적에 어떤 영향을 미치고 어떻게 활용되고 있는가를 알아보았다.

이번 작품은 오래된 소나무에 학이 날아든 풍경을 간결하게 표현해 여백의 미를 잘 살린 작품이다. 장식물 사용을 최대한 줄이고 '나무'와 '학' 두가지 주제만을 강조해 단순하면서도 분위기 있는 작품으로 완성했다. 중심요소만을 섬세하게 표현해 주제가 뚜렷이 도드라지는 '십장생' 작품을 만들어 보자.

80년이 넘는 역사를 간직한 옛 서울역이 각종 전시와 공연이 가득한 문화공간으로 다시 태어났다. 이발소와 화장실로 쓰였던 장소는 서울역의 옛 건축장식들과 사진자료를 모아놓은 미니 박물관이 됐다. 옛 서울역사에는 사적번호가 붙여졌으며 '문화역서울 284'라는 새 이름으로 개관 첫 전시회인 '오래된 미래'전이 개최됐다.

The purpose of this study is to look into the effect of wearing color lenses on one's image and was based on 221 college students in Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon-do. I examined how it appears as the evaluation factor visually. After by looking in the different image effect and relevance as to the classified evaluating factors, I tried to look into what effect the color lenses has on woman eye and image. The result is as follows. It appears that wearing color lenses makes one look fancier, more attractive, sophisticated, and favorable, whereas not wearing color lenses makes one look softer, weaker, more innocent, and comfortable. Analyzing these evaluations showed that wearing color lenses has most to do with attractiveness followed by pureness, familiarity, and decorativeness in order, whereas not wearing color lenses has most to do with familiarity followed by attractiveness, pureness, and decorativeness. It is considered that eyes with color lenses on them make the person seem decorative, attractive, and pure, which brings effect of improving one's eye and face image. Analyzing the correlation between each color lenses-wearing factor and one's image showed that when a person is wearing color lenses, the more the person is considered decorative, pure, and attractive, the more it has to do with improving the person's eye and face image. The result, therefore, shows that wearing color lenses makes one's eye and face image attractive, pure, and decorative, and wearing them is an important means to improve one's eye and face image.

This study intended to analyze the grunge look as a mode of expression and as a characteristic of the fashion of the 21st century, arguing that the look expressed not only an outward appearance or sub-culture but also a change in our attitude and spirit about contemporary fashion. In the study, I carried out an empirical analysis focused on the collection from 2001S/S to 2010F/W and a literature review. In my results, I classified the grunge look into the following categories: 1. mix and match layering; 2. patchwork, collages, and assemblage using all objects as well as clothing materials; and 3. distressing techniques, such as bleaching and dyeing, unweaving, and tears and holes. I also classified the characteristics of grunge into the following categories: 1. conspicuous destitution, which is intentionally expressed by skillful techniques and craftsmanship, indicating that modern people want to attract attention and be distinguished from others, which reflects an attitude of superiority through ironic fashion choices; 2. high lighting the dissolution of decoration, where destruction, poverty and recombination shown in the grunge look emerged as an artificial and intentional ugly aesthetic in contrast to the existing elegant and sophisticated image; and 3. satire and playfulness, as grunge expresses alienation and conflict in modern society through satire and sarcasm, not attacking or avoiding, but through playful and sarcastic engagement so as to decrease poverty and give temporary freedom.

Just as various religions of the world have multiple systems based on their own belief system respectively, religious costumes, which are the expression of religion, are varied in forms according to different religions. Nonetheless, this research attempts to examine the universal features of the variety of religious costumes. Since the range of this research is broad and the limit of study is clear, this research confines the study objects into world's four high religions. The purposes of this research are as followings; first, the investigation of the world's high religions, second, the study of the figurative attributes of religious costume to study and discuss the universality of figurative beauty and aesthetic value. Figurative attributes are distinct in religious costume. First, the non structural feature of composition, and the manner in which the costume is worn. Second, the rich silhouette covering the body. Third, the restraint and inhibition of decoration, and fourth, the preference of achromatic color and monotones. 'The beauty of concealing', derived from the religious absolute and chastity, 'The beauty of chastity' influenced by the restraint of decoration and design, and 'The beauty of nature' as the drapery and non structural feature are the universal aesthetic values. Human beings tend to contact the divine beings by pursuing the essential thing and concealing the body through religion. The forms of concealment and chastity, mentioned above are reflected in the usual costumes, affected by religion as well as religious costume.
