Characteristics of EGW Welding Consumables for EH47-TM Steels (선급 EH47-TM용 EGW 용접재료의 특성)

  • 최근 컨테이너 선박의 초대형화로 극후물 고장력 강재인 항복응력 460MPa급 고장력강인 EH47이 개발되었다. 두께 80mm의 극후물 용접에서 용접생산성 향상을 위하여 EGW/FCAW로 양면 용접이 검토되고, 입열량은 최대 300kJ/cm의 대입열 용접이 요구된다. 이를 위해서는 강재 및 용접재료 모두 300kJ/cm 용접부 성능이 선급 규격을 만족하여야 함은 물론 마지막 조립단계에서 적용되기 때문에 용접재료의 용접작업성도 매우 크게 요구되고 있다. 먼저 대입열 용접금속에서 요구되는 저온 충격인성($vE_{-20^{\circ}C}{\geq}57J$)을 만족하기 위하여는 용접금속의 미세조직 제어가 필요하며, 특히 조대한 입계페라이트 생성을 억제하고 미세한 입내 페라이트를 균일 분포하는 것이 중요하지만, 이를 위해 용접금속의 소입성이 지나치게 높이면 경화조직인 베이나이트 분율이 증가하여 오히려 용접금속 저온 충격인성을 저하시키므로, 적절한 용접금속의 성분 제어가 중요하다. 한편 용접부는 선급에서 요구하는 최소 강도인 570MPa를 만족하기 위하여 용접금속의 소성구속 현상을 활용하여 용접부 인장강도를 확보 할 수 있음을 확인했다. 이를 위해서는 용접금속의 적정한 경화도 확보가 필요하였다. 전술한 바와 같이 대입열 용접금속 저온 충격인성 확보와 용접부 강도 측면을 고려하여 용접금속 최적의 탄소당량 범위를 제시코자 하였다. 한편 용접재료의 용접작업성은 EGW용접의 용적이행 현상은 자유비행이행으로 이루어지고 있으며 특성상 용접중 용적과 용융지 사이에 많은 순간단락 현상을 동반하고 있으며, 슬래그 유동이 불안정하면 아크 꺼짐 현상도 관찰되고 있다. 따라서, 현장용접시 원할한 용접작업성을 확보할 수 있는 평가 기준으로써 아크 전류 및 전압의 변동 정도를 설정하고, 용접재료의 용접작업성 확보 기준을 제시코자 하였다.

A Study on the Drilling Methods to reduce Overbreak in Tunnel Blasting (터널발파 작업시 여굴 저감을 위한 천공방법 연구)

  • Overbreak or underbreak is one of the most important factors in evaluating the results of a tunnel blasting. Overbreak, which depends on the quality of rock, the type and quantity of explosives, and drilling conditions, has been a target of challenge to many blasting engineers because it directly affects construction cost. Drilling is generally known as one of the primary factors to generate overbreak. This study presents a real working model to reduce overbreak based on the analysis of drilling accuracy and overbreak generated from various working methods related to drilling. As the first step of the study, 45 experiments have been performed. The factors investigated are: marking contour line, the position of perimeter holes, the change of look-out with drilling rig position, and the proper space between perimeter holes. It is concluded that workers and engineers' will and efforts are the most important factors to reduce overbreak and that improving drilling method and pattern could reduce overbreak to a considerable amount.

  • Earthwork is very equipment-intensive task and researches related to automated excavation have been conducted. There is an issue to secure the safety for an automated excavating system. Therefore, this paper focuses on how to improve safety for semi- or fully-automated backhoe excavation. The primary objective of this research is to develop object detection algorithm for automated safety system in excavation work. In order to satisfy the research objective, a diverse sensing technologies are investigated and analysed in terms of functions, durability, and reliability and verified its performance by several tests. The authors developed the objects detecting algorithm for user interface program using laser sensor. The results of this study would be the basis for developing the automated object detection system.

Performance and Adequate Usage of Deicing Materials (도로 융설제 성능 평가와 적정 사용량 산정)

  • Deicing work is usually considered as a main part of winter road management activity. The deicing includes the physical method which removes snow with tools and the chemical method which melts snow with deicing materials. When removing snow using deicing materials, using excessive deicing materials will cause the environment and budget problems. When deicing materials are used less than the required amount, snow will remain on the road surface. In this research, the performance of deicing marerials has been evaluated and the amount of deicing materials has been determined by the laboratory and the field experiments. Also the adequate usages of deicing materials has been proposed.

  • A new method to predict the proper promotion time on the near-step-temperature test profile when heating or cooling the test-piece in a test chamber to the test temperature for environmental tests has been proposed by using the lumped analysis. For a given test condition the analysis shows the existence of a promotion time that reduces the testing time and saves energy. The theoretical results are in reasonably good agreements with experimental results for steel specimens. The suggested promotion time is approximately proportional to the mass/surface area of the test-piece for a given material.

  • Track irregularities is one of key factors influencing running behavior of train. In order to ensure safety and ride comfort, it is highly important that relationship between track irregularity and running behavior of vehicle is identified and the criteria for track irregularities is adequately established. Numerical analysis was conducted to investigate influence of surface on running behavior of KTX and various wavelength and amplitude of surface were considered in numerical analysis. Derailment, lateral load, bogie acc., body acc. of numerical analysis results were investigated to evaluate the effect on track profile on safety and ride comfort of KTX.

  • 본고(本考)는 포항종합제철(浦項綜合製鐵) 전용항(專用港)의 확장계획(擴張計劃)에 따라서 원료(原料) 운반선(運搬船)의 적정(適正) 크기 및 속도(速度)를 결정(決定)하기 위한 타당성(妥當性) 조사(調査) 연구(硏究)의 예비작업(豫備作業)이다. 먼저 그 기준(基準)으로 소요운임율(所要運賃率)을 택(擇)하여 선박(船舶)의 크기, 속도(速度) 및 상대방(相對方) 원료적출항(原料積出港)에 따라서 수송비(輸送費)를 계산(計算)한 후에 그 결론(決論)으로 선박(船舶)의 대형화(大型化)의 필요성(必要性)을 보였으며, 이 계산결과(計算結果)를 토대(土臺)로 선박(船舶)의 대형화(大型化) 및 효과(效果)를 시설확장(施設擴張)에 투자(投資)되는 자금(資金)을 연차적(年次的)으로 비교(比較)하여 현재(現在) 추진중(推進中)에 있는 포항종합제철(浦項綜合製鐵) 전용항(專用港) 확장계획(擴張計劃)를 검토(檢討)함으로써 선박(船舶)의 적정(適正)크기가 DWT 약(約) 10만(萬) ton임을 보여준다. 또한 제2종합제철(第2綜合製鐵)과의 관계(關係)도 고려(考慮)하여 원료비축기지(原料備蓄基地)와 같은 새로운 시스템에 대한 종합적(綜合的)이고 세밀(細密)한 검토(檢討)의 필요성(必要性)을 보인다.

  • Determination and optimization of proper welding condition are very important tasks to be directly related to weld quality and productivity. On this research the relationship between welding parameters and results is investigated systematically. Theoretical method, statistical analysis of experimental data and analysis of empirical knowledge are applied for this work. These results are represented by empirical equations, fuzzy rules and artificial intelligent knowledge forms in the knowledge base. The approximate reasoning of fuzzy expert system and the information in the knowledge base are used for recommendation of suitable welding condition, and optimization of welding parameter which is based on the evaluation of welding results by user.

A Priority Analysis of Equipment Operation Plan for Container Terminal in Gwangyang Port (광양항 컨테이너터미널의 장비 작업계획 우선순위 분석)

  • This paper is concerned about applying the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) for a priority analysis of equipment operation plan to improve productivity of the container terminal in Gwangyang port. In this study, main elements of container terminal are assumed as into yard equipment area, transport equipment area, berth equipment area and C/Center area. A questionnaire is used to collect the opinions of equipment operating department and operational planning department. On the whole, the result of the analyses reveals that the most important area is yard equipment area. Examining each department is responses, equipment operating department preferred the C/Center area to other areas, on the other hand, operational planning department preferred yard equipment area. The result of this study suggests some guidelines for deciding priority of operation plan in the container terminal.

Study on Improvement of Cost Calculation Method in Construction less than One Day Workload (1일 작업량 미만 공사의 공사비 산정 방식의 개선방안에 관한 연구)

  • Standard production unit system and historical cost data are the most typical data base for calculating budget price in construction. However, these construction cost estimation methods are difficult to calculate proper construction cost because definition, additional allowance or modification criteria is not clear in construction within one day. Therefore, this study identifies problems for standard production unit system and historical cost data and suggests the improvements for them. For the objectives, this study analyzes frequency after implementing survey for 44 specialty contractors in placing at kyeonggi-province. As the results of the study, labor costs in standard production unit system and equipment costs in historical cost data and in construction of pavement and maintenance by project type was exceeded at most high rate against construction cost estimation methods. Based on this result, standard production unit system and historical cost data need to be modified by three improvements such as classification by project scale. These will be baseline data for improvement of construction cost estimation methods for less than one day workload.
