A Study on the Impact of Hotel Internal Marketing Practices on Culinary Staff Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment (호텔기업 내부마케팅활동이 조리종사원들의 직무만족과 조직몰입에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • This study seeks to determine causal relationships between hotel internal marketing practices and job satisfaction, and ultimately on organizational commitment, to contribute information enabling hotel management to better understand employees working in hotel culinary departments. SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 were employed for the statistical analysis (e.g. frequency statistics, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, and structure equation model). Results revealed that the formulated model showed proper model fit (${\chi}^2=227.154$(df=179), p-value=0.009, CMIN/DF=1.269, RMR=0.013, GFI=0.931, AGFI=0.911, NFI=0.906, CFI=0.978, RMSEA=0.031), and confirmed construct reliability and convergent validity. Three factors (benefit package, educational training, work autonomy) were extracted based on the results of the factor analyses. Specifically, benefit package and work autonomy exhibited an effect on job satisfaction with benefit package asthe most significant factor (t-value 3.311, p<0.001), partially supporting the first hypothesis of this study. In addition, job satisfaction has found to have a positive influence in organizational commitment, confirming the second hypothesis of this study.

A Study on Promoting Inter-organizational Linkages for Vocational Rehabilitation of People with Psychiatric Disabilities : Focusing on Linkage Experiences and Predictors (지역기반 정신장애인 직업재활수행기관간 연계강화에 관한 연구 : 연계경험 및 예측요인 분석을 중심으로)

  • This study is to explore experience on the inter-organizational linkages for vocational rehabilitation of people with psychiatric disabilities and to find out predictors affecting the linkages. This study used triangulation a way as to combine the advantages of both the qualitative and the quantitative approach. The qualitative approach is based on grounded theory by Strauss & Cobin. The quantitative research used the samples of 122 organizations, and was analyzed by multiple regression & logistic regression. The results are as follows. First, as results of in-depth interview, interviewees perceived linkage experience as 'turning the eyes on the other organization in community', namely 'the pursue of collaboration'. This concept is classified four types: initiative, cooperative, authoritative and passive type. Second, according to Tobin(1986)'s five phase of the closeness of inter-organizational linkages, our linkages were found to be in third phase, "coordination". Finally, predictors of the attempt of having linkages & linkage strengthening were analyzed by logistic regression & multiple regression. 'The experience of professional training on people with psychiatric disabilities' and 'the resource dependency' have statistically significant relation with the attempt to have linkages. 'The length of current service', 'the experience of professional training on people with psychiatric disabilities', and 'recognition about other organizational activities' are significantly related to strengthening linkage. Based on the results of this study, alternatives for promoting inter-organization linkages for vocational rehabilitation of people with psychiatric disabilities were proposed.

Applying Strategy Group Concept to Program Providers(PP) Industry (PP 산업에 대한 전략집단 개념의 적용)

  • Using strategy group theory, this thesis reviewed the status of program providers analysis and the performances it has made so far, and sought measures to improve its limitations. The constraint of program providers analysis based on existing concept of strategy group is that the strategy group was derived from the statistics, and therefore only applied the characteristics of program provider's channels to the analysis, on account of which a systematic and sophisticated classification as well as generalization of strategy or strategy group were hard to obtain. Moreover, the PP strategy variables used to be selected at the firm level and business level, and in relation with resource and competition scope. In future, more appropriate procedure should be followed to obtain objectivity in selecting variables to avoid controversy over intentionality. The measures in this thesis to improve the study of PP strategy group can be summarized as follows: firstly analysis of variables for strategy group classification should be made to single out key variables which are to be classification criteria. Secondly, variables are to be cross-checked by industry experts to increase generalizability. Thirdly, proxy variables should be sublated, and strategy group model which enables the reflection of subsistent properties of PP industry, and the cognitive perception of the executives(CEO) needs to be established. Fourthly, the concepts of mobility barrier and isolating mechanism should be applied to the classification criteria of strategy group to reveal the gap of performance between different strategy groups. Lastly, chronicle study on PP strategy group should be done to perceive the dynamic changes of PP strategy group.

A Study on the Influence of Perceived Organizational Support on Organization Commitment (조직후원인식이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • In general, there are three factors which compel employees to leave their position at a company: duties in organization, perception related to organization, and attitude built through the previous factors. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of the factors on the turnover intention and the decreasing achievement affected by the turnover. For this study, the perceived organizational support and organization commitment were chosen as worker's attitude variables which affects turnover intention. The results through the actual analysis are as follows: 1. Worker's emotional commitment is on the increase when the organization values their increased efforts as precious and makes efforts to improve welfare system. 2. Worker's turnover intention decreases as the stronger emotional commitment enables them to gain more consciousness to stay longer at the company. 3. The worker who possesses stronger lasting commitment tends to have some inclination to leave his current position if other organization offers compensation enough to make up for the current investment. 4. Worker's turnover intention decreases when they perceive that the organization acknowledges employees' value and supports them. 5. Worker's turnover intention at the small-middle sized companies is higher than at major companies. In this study, four out of five hypotheses, which are based on theoretical examinations and backgrounds, gain verified results. In the end, it is showed that the perceived organization support can increase the emotional commitment which makes it possible to decrease turnover intention. Consequently, it can be said that the appropriate human resources management is to explore the ways to decrease worker's turnover intention by improving labor environment and searching for the way to promote worker's commitment to their organization through the perceived organization supports.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the structural relationship between organizational citizenship behavior and behavioral intention. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between conflicts, organizational citizenship behaviors, and behavioral intentions in order to achieve research objectives. Based on this study, hypotheses were established and the implications and implications of these results were sought. First, the relationship conflicts of hotel employees have significant relationship to organizational citizenship behavior. Second, the relationship conflicts of hotel employees have a meaningful relation to the behavioral intention. Third, organizational citizenship behavior of hotel employees has a meaningful relationship with behavioral intention. As the results show, the company seeks for profit but it is also another way for employees to stay in one job and to make an opportunity to contribute value to the company. As the relationship between the individual conflicts, organizational citizenship behaviors, and behavioral intentions, how to solve the conflict problem is the task of the hotel company based on the human resources. Future research and limitations are needed for the efficiency of this study, but it is necessary to specify samples and specimens through an in-depth review of the specimens.

Analysis of China's Arctic Route Development associated with the Belt and Road initiative (중국의 북극항로 개발사업, 일도(一道)의 특징과 시사점)

  • The potential competitiveness for new routes and resources has been theoretically discussed with regards to the Arctic route but is gradually becoming a reality as global warming increases. In June of 2017, China officially included the Northern Sea Route (NSR) as part of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and major countries' interests in the NSR are greatly expanding. This paper presents the general characteristics of the NSR, NSR development in China, the expected relationship between the NSR and the BRI, and this relationship's implications for Korea. The NSR has poor facilities and information infrastructure and is not economically viable for commercial navigation due to its high-cost conditions compared to competitive routes. In order to explore the Arctic and develop the NSR, large-scale projects must be funded over a long period of time; this has caused major difficulties in development. However, as the NSR is included in the BRI, there could be an opportunity to utilize BRI funds, such as Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). Further, China's NSR development and the NSR development of partner countries, such as Korea, should be further stimulated. As Korea has strengths in terms of its shipbuilding technology and geographical location, which is located at the core of the NSR, Korea would have chances to expand the economic cooperation and business opportunities with China and Russia.

The Performance Analysis of Distributed Reorder Buffer in Superscalar Processor using Analytical Model (해석적 모델을 이용한 분산된 리오더 버퍼 슈퍼스칼라 프로세서의 성능분석)

  • There are several approaches for reducing the ROB(Reorder Buffer) complexity in processors. The one technique that makes the simplest ROB ports relies on a distributed implementation that spreads the centralized ROB structure across the functional units(FUs). Each distributed buffers are decided on the size of them by workload of the functional units. The performance of the processor depends on the size of distributed ROB. However, most of previous works have depended on the simulation results to decide the optimsize of distributed ROB. In this Paper, we use an analytical model based on the M/M/1 Queuing theory to determine the optimum size of each distributed ROB. Our schemes are evaluated by using the simulation performed by the CPU2000 benchmarks. We are able to choose the optimum size of distributed ROB showing the 99.2% performance compared with existing superscalar processors. We can save 82% hardware resources in ports and reduce more than 30% of delay when ROB and distributed ROB proposed in this paper are designed by HDL.

  • This paper develop self pre-checkup lists for the validity of business model as web business starters can utilize to open business. In particular, self pre-checkup lists invented by Dr. Bruce Merrifield, is reapplied and modified in appropriate to internet shopping mall business. This paper complete many literature reviews to identify appropriate factors of evaluation such as about the characters of internet business, business validity testing theory for internet business model, pros and cons of e-business and startup ventures, factor analysis of technology valuation, and pros and cons for internet shopping mall. This paper define six different factors; scale of sales, the growth rate of market, competitiveness, risk portfolio, industry upside down, and social conditions, as the factors of evaluating the business attractiveness. Meanwhile, it define characters of CEO, content's power, mutual inclusion, commerce, fulfillment, marketing power as the factors of business appropriateness. This paper also conducts several case studies; company I, D, G of applying the former model. This paper sort out internet business model in imaginations by utilizing self pre-checkup lists of business evaluation. Also, the outcomes of evaluation is expected to provide meaningful future business implications.

A study on Appraisal Methods of Timber Assets for the Forestry Household Economy Survey in Korea (우리나라 임가경제조사를 위한 입목자산가치 평가방법 연구)

  • For the last few decades, forest resources in Korea have continuously increased in terms of their stocks. However, due to the low profitability of timber harvesting in Korea, their economic values have not been well recognized. Furthermore, their economic values have not been counted in national statistics associated with forest resources such as the Forestry Household Economy Survey or the National Accounting. This research fundamentally aimed at building a forest valuation system or a procedure that enables one to evaluate the national-level economic values of timber assets in Korea. For this research, it is necessarily required to understand the principles of appraisal methods and any issues raised in their practical applications. Thus, a comprehensive review of appraisal methods utilized in Korea and other countries was conducted in this research. Also, the current valuation system of the National Forests in Korea was investigated. Through the review and the investigation, it was found that an alternative consists of two appraisal methods, the 'Capitalized Income Value' method adopting the Internal Rate of Return (IRR) for the below-rotation age forest and the 'Derived Residual Value' method for the above-rotation age forest, could be the most acceptable for evaluating timber assets of forestry households derived from the Forestry Household Economy Survey in Korea.

Study on Oxidation or Reduction Behavior of Cs-Te-O System with Gas Conditions of Voloxidation Process (휘발산화 공정 조건에 따른 Cs-Te-O 시스템의 산화 환원 거동 연구)

  • Pyroprocessing has been developed for the purpose of resolving the current spent nuclear fuel management issue and enhancing the recycle of valuable resources. Pyroprocessing has been developed with the dry technologies which are performed under high temperature conditions excluding any aqueous processes. Pyro-processes which are based on the electrochemical principles require pretreatment processes and a voloxidation process is considered as a pretreatment step for an electrolytic reduction process. Various kinds of gas conditions are applicable to the voloxidation process and the understanding of Cs behavior during the process is of importance for the analyses of waste characteristics and heat load on the overall pyroprocessing. In this study, the changes of chemical compounds with the gas conditions were calculated by analyzing gas-solid reaction behavior based on the chemical equilibria on a Cs-Te-O system. $Cs_2TeO_3$ and $Cs_2TeO_4$ were selected after a Tpp diagram analysis and it was confirmed that they are relatively stable under oxidizing atmospheres while it was shown that Cs and Te would be removed by volatilization under reducing atmosphere at a high temperature. This work provided basic data for predicting Cs behavior during the voloxidation process at which compounds are chemically distributed as the first stage in the pyroprocessing and it is expected that the results would be used for setting up material balances and related purposes.
