  • The tool for developing airborne software requires the same level of safety as airborne software because the tool whose output is part of the airborne software and thus could insert an error into the airborne software. This paper describes how to ensure the reliability of the tool output that becomes a part of the airborne software by validating of the input and output files of the tool when generating the ARINC 661 standard UA definition file and the CDS configuration file through the A661UAGEN tool of Hanwha Systems. We present the method to validate XML data structure and contents with an XML schema definition, which is an input of the A661UAGEN tool. And the method to validate the output binary data by using mask data for the corresponding data structure and valid value, which is the output of the A661UAGEN tool, was presented. As such, validation of the input and output of the tool improves the reliability of binary DFs and CDs integrated into the airborne software, allowing airborne software developers to utilize the tool to ensure safety in developing the OFP.

  • Librarian certification in Korea is issued by the LIS Departments, the Academy of Librarianship, and the Academic Credit Bank system; however, it has been pointed out that there is a limit to how much these nurture high quality librarians, because the education quality and contents varies from education institutions and there is no verification method for certification issued by educational programs. Therefore, this study investigated certification systems of academic or training programs that are conducted at home and abroad, analyzed how the certification systems are oriented, what the purpose and criteria of the certification systems are, and what the content of assessment is. As a result of this investigation, several areas needing change were identified which if adopted can improve the system. These included making amendments to the library laws related to the certification system, substantially revising the relevant enforcement ordinance, making changes to the selection of the Certification authority, establishing certification standards and procedures, developing contents related to document examination and due diligence audits, rating the effects of the certification system, and setting standards. Improving the Librarian Certification System has been discussed over the past 20 years and should not be delayed any longer because of the university structural reform of the current government, the rapid rise of the qualified librarians, decreasing employment due to the human resources supply and demand imbalances, all of which has resulted in a survival crisis of four-year Department of Library and Information Science.

  • The purpose of this study is to enhance the satisfaction of paramedics on the refreshment training by identifying the status and requests of 389 Grade I and II paramedics who participated in refreshment training and providing appropriate training according to job requirements, and to provide basic materials for the effective operation. From the study, in 'Status and Difference of Refreshment Training of Grade I and II Paramedics', statistically significant items were found to be 'Satisfaction level of Refreshment Training'(p=0.002), 'Training should be separated according to qualifications.'(p=0.000),'Refreshment training registration fee was appropriate.'(p=0.027), 'Necessity level of evaluation after the refreshment training'(p=0.007). The most appropriate theme for refreshment training' was found to be ALS among Grade I (42.3%) and Grade II (31.1%), but it was not statistically significant (p=0.224). In 'Refreshment Training Enhancement Requirements', both Grade I (29.5%) and Grade II (31.2%) paramedics wanted 'qualitative enhancement of contents' most, which was not statistically significant (p=0.664). Additionally, 'the most appropriate theme for refreshment training' was found to be ALS in 'hospitals' (46.3%) and 'non-hospitals' (28.6), and comparing to 'hospitals' 'non-hospitals' showed approximately 12% higher requirements on 'Laws and the latest medical information'. According to results, it is recommended to separate training for Grade I and Grade II paramedics and reflect requests of the field to refreshment training so as to enhance the quality and satisfaction of refreshment training.

  • We in this paper propose a social network based on ontology in Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine (KIOM). By using the social network, researchers can find collaborators and share research results with others. For this purpose, first, personal profiles, scholarships, careers, licenses, academic activities, research results, and personal connections for all of researchers in KIOM are collected. After relationship and hierarchy among ontology classes and attributes of classes are defined through analyzing the collected information, a social network ontology are constructed using FOAF and OWL. This ontology can be easily interconnected with other social network by FOAF and provide the reasoning based on OWL ontology.

  • This paper is intended on providing solutions for overcoming constraints to the transmission of the Important Intangible Cultural Properties related to dance successors. For accommodating this approach, six career dancers, from the Dance Society of the Important Intangible Cultural Properties, were invited as the research participants for this study. The In-Depth Interviews and the classification analysis are used as a way of structuring and understanding my observations about these tasks. These interviews have also been verified by an expert group. In conclusion, this study identifies numerous obstacles which can restrict the transmission of the Important Intangible Cultural Properties are as follows; first, the dance successors are constrained by personal reasons such as physical strength and mutual understanding at home; second, the dance successors are affected by the structural constraint of programs such as required time for the completion of training, efficiency of the training program and the educational environment; third, the dance successors are constrained by personal relations such as the relationship between themselves, or between the dance successors and holders of Important Intangible Cultural Properties. Suggested solutions for overcoming the constraints to training programs are; building small sized training centers throughout the country; making training time realistic for individuals; and making programs to train the dancers as well as making it sociable.

  • There is a noticeable gap in the personnel structures of clinical laboratories between North Korea and South Korea. In North Korea, 'Laboratory Doctor' is similar to the workforce of 'Medical Technologist (commonly known as Clinical Laboratory Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist)' in South Korea. Considering preceding research based on the verbal evidence of North Korean healthcare personnel defectors, it is estimated that the status of laboratory doctor in North Korea generally corresponds to physician and feldsher (such as physician assistant in Western countries). Physicians and feldshers are trained and fostered for five and a half years in medical universities and for three years in medical vocational schools (so-called junior college of medicine). Unlike South Korea, the North Korea's healthcare personnel system does not subdivide the tasks, education, qualifications and law regarding the specialties of health experts. It is thought that the Korean Association of Medical Technologists needs to collaboratively search and present the milestones for establishment of a professional system on clinical laboratory personnel in North Korea through cooperative research on policies with the related organizations for better preparation of the unification of the Korean Peninsula.
