Web apps have a problem that they cause same data to be repetitively retrieved, processed, and displayed when web browsers load different web pages. To resolve the problem, this paper presents and evaluates a new method for restructuring of Java web apps. This approach dynamically analyzes Java web apps from the MVC (Model-View-Controller) architecture point of view and identifies redundant data by using the composite view pattern. Then the input apps are restructured in order not to load the redundant data when users make requests for new pages. This restructuring generates new web apps that conform to the MVC architecture and improve the performance of input web apps. The experimental results showed that when compared to legacy web apps, the restructured apps' response time was reduced on desktop PCs and mobile devices by 38% and 55%, respectively. In addition, case studies using open-source web apps showed the applicability of the proposed approach.
In this study, the effect of VR exposure programs integrated with web-based cognitive restructuring education on reducing social anxiety was confirmed. The experimental group (n=12) received a 10~15 minute session of web-based cognitive intervention and a 20-minute session of virtual reality exposure therapy. The comparison group (n=15) received a 10~15 minute session of web-based speech education and a 20-minute session of virtual reality exposure therapy. After 4 weeks, the experimental group had an increase in positive interpretation bias, a decrease in negative interpretation bias, and a decreased level of social anxiety. These results suggest that the combination of self-help form of web-based cognitive intervention in the treatment of social anxiety disorder can improve the therapeutic effect of VRET.

Education is an intentional and planned change process for achieving the objective. Thus, an educational objects sets is very important in elementary and secondary instructional practice. Bloom created the original taxonomy of the cognitive, affective, psychomotor domain for categorizing level of abstraction of questions that commonly occur in educational settings in 1956. During the 1990, Anderson & Krathwohl, Marzano led a new educational taxonomy which met for the purpose of updating the Bloom's taxonomy, hoping to add relevance for 21st century teaching and learning. The educational taxonomy with information literacy process is relationship. The purpose of this study is restructure of information literacy process based on educational object taxonomy.
This study examined the psychological and social factors of middle-aged conglomerate executives in Korea for successful adaptation after their involuntary retirement. For this, in-depth interviews on 13 retired executives (male, average age 58.2) including changes over time and their assessment or interpretation on them were conducted, and the contents were analyzed in phenomenological methods. As a result, 'financial preparation' and 'spousal support' were predisposing factors of adaptation. The starting point of adaptation was 'acceptance of reality', which consisted of subfactors such as reevaluating the past life, acknowledging various changes and deviating from the past, accepting themselves as common retiree in the 50s, living with anxiety, and the need of proper time. Next, they made cognitive and emotional reevaluations and reevaluated the value of life, and reestablished 'psychological reconstruction' and 'ego identity' through new activities that they chose. Their retirement and adaptation processes after retirement are the conflicting process from their experience as a conglomerate executive that satisfied psychological and social capital and the consequent story on maladaptive coping style, as well as a narration in cognitive, emotional and behavioral perspectives to overcome such disharmony. Results of this study provides implications for corporations, nation and retirees on handling retirement.
The purpose of this study was to develop a computer-based cognitive bias modification program (CBM-I) and to test the efficacy of CBM-I for college students with social anxiety. Forty socially anxious individuals were randomly assigned to the CBM-I(n=21) or a waiting list condition(n=19). Both groups were assessed at the beginning and the end of the program with interpretation bias and social anxiety symptoms(e.g. B=FNE=Brief-Fear of Negative Evaluation Scale, LSAS=Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale). The CBM-I modified interpretation by providing positive feedback when participants made benign interpretations and negative feedback in response to threat interpretations. Participants in CBM-I completed three computer sessions over three weeks. The CBM-I successfully decreased social anxiety symptoms compared to the control condition(t=2.35, p<.05; t=4.70, p<.001). This result suggests that interpretation modification may have clinical utility when applied as a multi-session intervention.
The aim of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of a crisis intervention program for the unemployed. The intervention included understanding one's experiences of unemployment and new dynamics of one's family, improving family relations, decreasing depressed mood through cognitive restructuring, assertiveness training, and job skill acquisition. Ss were 14 recently unemployed adults from Seoul area. A pretest and a posttest were administered. The effect of the program have been analyzed in terms of assertiveness, family relations, and depressed mood. The intervention yielded a statistically significant change in assertiveness for the unemployed who live with their families. The homeless unemployed have shown a statistically significant change in family relations. Qualitative analyses on the group processes also have been conducted. Implications for the future practice are discussed.
'Self-esteem' is defined as 'the lived status of one's individual competence and personal worthiness in dealing with the challenges of Life over Time'. High self-esteem is associated with self-confidence, effectively coping, well-being, and responsibility and it is essential for the responsible choice and determination of environments. The purposes of this study were to develop a strategy to enhance the self-esteem and to verify the effects. A new strategy, 'Cognitive Restructuring Strategy' was based on the characteristics of self-esteem and the key idea of this was to eliminate negative thoughts and to reinforce affirmative thoughts. We developed the statement to embody this strategy and applied to the experimental group. According to the results, self-esteem for the control group(155) did not changed but that for the experimental group(158) was significantly enhanced. Continuously, environmental learning instructions of 3 units were carried out on two groups. By applying the t-test, achievement-test scores for the experimental group per unit were significantly higher than those of the control group as regards the four respective goals of EE. Therefore this strategy and statement are helpful in enhancing self-esteem and it was found that 'self-esteem' is a influential factor to form environmental responsible behaviors(ERB).
Many people in Korea suffer from a fear of dental treatments; however, only a few studies have focused on this population. This study assessed the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and its interventions in reducing dental anxiety, especially when administered by trained dental staff. Using case studies, the authors analyzed the content of each session and examined the process of reducing dental anxiety. First, the authors observed that the results of both dental fear scale and subjective unit of disturbance decreased significantly with changes in cognitive distortions related to dental anxiety and that rapid improvements were noted after two therapy sessions. Second, the study reported that practicing relaxation (deep-breathing) and muscle relaxation techniques; using hand signals to indicate anxiety or discomfort; establishing an empathic relationship with the therapist; making an anxiety list; and graded insensitive and exposure along with rehearsal, were effective in coping with dental anxiety and in changing negative thoughts towards the dentist. Third, a simple cognitive behavioral intervention can be effective in reducing dental anxiety. In summary, a short-term, five-session psychological intervention with CBT produced a sustained decrease in the symptoms of dental anxiety, allowing the patients to receive the required procedures. The authors discussed the study limitations and the implication of their results on future research.
The purpose of this study was to understand educational changes and effects of cognitive behavioral art therapy using the smart device. The participant of the study was a 4th grade of male elementary school student who had aggressiveness and impulsiveness with emotional instability. The study was conducted one to two times a week for six months with a total of 30 educational sessions. Among 80 minutes per session, 60 minutes of art therapy and 20 minutes of cognitive behavioral therapy were applied, and during the sessions, cognitive action art therapy (drawing and shaping activities), cognitive restructuring, behavioral modification, systemic dullness, social skills training, empathy and landscaping training were applied. For the numeral assessment, Traffic Anxiety Inventory for Children (TAIC), Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and emotional instability measures were used. Research showed that cognitive behavioral art therapy using smart devices had the effect of positive emotional change in children with emotional anxiety, and based on this, future development directions including systematic instructional design, scientific analysis and feedback technologies were discussed.
Recently, with the attention of future vehicle technology, automobiles that are influenced by user experience(UX) are regarded as living space. However, the concept of term, definition, and constituent factors of driving experience have not been established so far. The purposes of this study are to define driving experience in terms of UX and to extract experience factors. We conducted the 18 drivers interviews and studied literature reviews. The collected interview data was analyzed by bottom-up method based on the grounded theory. And we reconstructed it through the top-down approach, based on the results of the literature review. As the result, the 'driving experience' is a concept that means all the emotions, perceptions, and cognitive outcomes on the basis of personal characteristics that drivers have in anticipation of the driving situation from the start to the destination Respectively. Nine factors that constitute driving experience were extracted by 'internal UI factors', 'environmental factors' and 'user related factors'.
