An Entropy-Based Measure for Evaluation the Cognitive Complexity of User Interface (엔트로피를 기반으로 한 사용자 인터페이스 인지적 복잡도의 척도)

  • 현대의 시스템들이 가지는 고기능화와 자동화로 인하여 인간의 운용 능력이 점점 더 중요한 능력으로 부각되고 있으며, 이는 사용자가 경험하게 되는 인지넉 복잡도를 제어하는 것을 요구한다. 본 연구에서는 사용자 인터페이스에서 사용자가 경험해야 하는 인지적 복잡도를 스키마 구조를 반영하여 정량화하는 엔트로피 모형(윤완철, 1992)을 적용하여 사용자가 겪게 될 인지적 복잡도를 예측하는 척도가 제안되었으며 실험적으로 검증되었다. 엔트로피와 시스템 크기-조작의 수와 상태의 수-가 각각 다른 세 가지 인터페이스 (엔트로피가 낮고 작은 크기의 인터페이스, 엔트로피가 높고 작은 크기의 인터페이스, 엔트로피가 높고 큰 크기의 인티페이스) 중의 하나를 사용하는 것을 피험자이 학습하고, 이에 대해 검사를 받았다. 제안된 척도인 시스템 엔트로피는 사용자 수행도를 잘 설명하였지만, 시스템의 크기는 그러하지 않았다. 본 연구는 사용자가 겪게 될 인지적 복잡도를 평가자의 주관이 개입하지 않는 방법을 통하여 평가할 수 있음을 보인 것으로 가전제품이나 스프트웨어의 디자인의 평가와 개선 등 인간의 인지적 복잡도가 사용성에 중요한 영향을 미치는 분야에서 유용하리라 여겨진다.

Optokinetic Differentiation through the Menu Layout and Cognitive Degree of Service Menu Title for Watching Digital Media (디지털미디어 메뉴 타이틀의 인지차이와 메뉴 방향에 따른 시선주목도 차이)

  • This paper deals with the experiments of optokinetic differentiation within eye tracking test through the menu direction and cognitive degree of service menu title for watching digital media service. Researcher establish a research topic which verification of differentiations of eye tracking velocity when media user perceive the service menu title within vertical structure or horizontal structure. Experimentation was designed with two types of menu structure-vertical or horizontal-and these have each 9 cases of eye tracking tasks for experimentee. Researcher arrives at a conclusion through as stated above experiment that cases of vertical menu structure is more effective method with linear channel service menu, otherwise that cases of horizontal menu structure is more effective method with non linear channel service menu, like a video on demand service. The research results will be very helpful with actual media industry players when they planning the evolutionary direction of their menu layout.

Knowledge Structure of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Studies in Korea: Co-word Analysis (국내 인지행동치료 연구의 지식구조: 동시출현단어 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the patterns of the keywords in journals in the field of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify the knowledge structure of CBT studies in Korea. To compare CBT studies from Korea and abroad, 234 articles (2008-2019) published on "Cognitive Behavior Therapy in Korea" and 2,316 articles (1977-2019) published on "Cognitive Therapy and Research" were collected. The data were analyzed using NetMiner 4.3. The co-word analysis was done by calculating the cosine similarity matrix of major keywords, followed by visualizing the network. The results of this study identified the main interests of Korean CBT scholars, and categorized the knowledge structure of CBT in Korea into 9 research areas: "scale validation"; "perfectionism and entrapment"; "cognitive, emotional, and relationship characteristics of schizophrenic patients"; "cognitive characteristics and treatment of borderline personality disorder and depression/bipolar disorder patients"; "adaptation and psychological health"; "cognitive characteristics and treatment of patients with social anxiety disorder"; "causes and co-morbidities of depression"; "acceptance and commitment therapy"; and "understanding and the treatment of binge eating disorder patients." This study is meaningful in that it has reviewed the accumulated knowledge in the CBT field in Korea for the past 11 years, and suggests future tasks for development to improve the standards of CBT practice.

A Study on Cognitive Characteristics of Information Gifted Children (정보영재아들의 인지적 특성에 관한 연구)

  • There are many studies about cognitive and non-cognitive characteristics of gifted children in the areas of math and science until now. Also, there is a lot of research for about cognitive and non-cognitive characteristics of gifted children. But, it lacks a lot of research on the characteristics of gifted children for information science area. So, characteristics of gifted children in the areas of information science are defined as structured information recall ability, regularization ability, reasoning ability, efficiency ability, structured ability, generalization ability, and abstract ability. And real problems for each ability are proposed. To make the evaluation questions proposed in this study on the cognitive gifted characteristics when compared with student achievement and prove that there is a correlation. The results of this study can be utilized in the evaluation of information giftedness children and can be utilized in the development of gifted education programs.

  • The ESE (Earth Systems Education) teaching module was developed to teach an "Earth and Star" unit for the 8th grade (aged 14) students. The planet remodeling activity was developed as a sub-ESE teaching module. The main point of this activity was that students were supposed to remodel planets for life to live on. The purpose of this study was to visualize students' thought and to interpret their understandings through their drawings and writings. A framework of analysis with four categories was designed and applied to analyze students' cognitive structure. In order to explore students' cognitive contents, the analyzing factors were classified into two domains: subsystems of the earth systems and use of science & technology. Results revealed via the planet remodeling activity that students' cognitive characteristics were impacted by ESE activities such as Earth literacy.

The Study on Relationship between Social Isolation and Cognitive Function in Elderly Korean (노인의 사회적 고립과 인지기능의 관계에 대한 일 연구)

  • The objective of the study was to analyze difference in cognitive function according to social isolation level in elderly Korean. The author classified the social isolation into the structural isolation and contact isolation. Structural isolation corresponded to the no spouse or no children and the contact isolation corresponded to the absence of contact with children, friends or social association. Author conducted multivariate regression analysis with the elderly people aged 65 years or older from the 5th wave of the Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing data. Number of sample was 3,971. It was confirmed that the level of cognitive function was lower according to level of social isolation. It was also confirmed that friends/neighborhood isolation, and social activity isolation showed significant relationships with cognitive functions. Based on the results, author suggested that to protect the elderly from negative effects of social isolation, we needed the policy to promote elderly's the participation in social activity. The study to analyze the factors related to social isolation was also needed.

  • Whereas traditional user interface are well accepted modes of information exchange, the new digital conversion type's of information media is relatively complex and provides new means of transaction with user interface. User interface can be decomposed into two component: the physical structure through which information media is controlled, and the presentation of the content. This research explores the two user interface element have different effect on the adoption of information media and, as such, can influence perceived usefulness, perceived easy of use, and intention of use. The hypotheses have been tested with the survey of 148 end-users examines two interface characteristics factors such as efficiency, error, design, entertainment, accuracy, and vividness, and so on. The research summarized in this paper decomposes the influence of interface elements of physical structure interface and content presentation interface to gain a better understanding of how interface stimulates user's perceived usefulness to adopt the information media.

The Study on the Structural Effects of Cognitive Age on Consumer Innovativeness by Mediating Perceived Usefulness and Easy of Use of Mobile (모바일 지각적 사용 용이성과 유용성 매개효과를 통한 인지적 나이가 소비자 혁신성에 영향을 미치는 구조적 효과 연구)

  • This study focuses on the finding out the structural effect of consumers' cognitive age affecting consumer innovativeness due to the mediating effect of perceived easy of use of mobile and perceived usefulness of mobile. For this study, a self report survey is conducted through a structured questionnaire, and a parallel double-mediated effect analysis is performed using the process macro of SPSS for the analysis. In the study results, it is found that the cognitive age of consumers directly have a statistically significant negative effect on consumer innovativeness. In addition, in the analysis to verify the mediating effect of perceived easy of use of mobile and perceived usefulness of mobile, it is shown that perceived usefulness of mobile has a positive and significant effect on consumer innovativeness. Through this, The contribution of this study can be attributed to the fact that it analyzed the structural relationship between the perceived ease of use of mobile and the perceived usefulness of mobile in the process of consumers' cognitive age affecting consumer innovativeness.

Consumer Acceptance Intention on Block Chain Consensus Mechanismbased Payment System (블록체인 기반 결제시스템에 대한 관광 소비자 수용의도)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose a conceptual model for the tourism application of the block chain consensus construct and to test the intention of technology acceptance of potential consumers. First, we have tried to investigate the security, reliability, functionality was derived. Secondary, structural validation of the proposed model confirmed the factors influencing the acceptance of block chain technology in terms of consumers. Based on this, we apply the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology to evaluate. Individual innovation and block-chain technology have a strong causal relationship with the proposed block chain acceptance intentions based on the Hybrid Block Chain Consensus system, which shows strong innovation and strong cognitive status. In addition, the factors directly affecting the acceptance of block-chain are the benefits expected from the block chain, the technical infrastructure required to use the service, the perceived benefits available. The influence of the surrounding environment on the adoption of technology and ease of use on new technology did not affect the acceptance intention significantly.

  • 스마트 단말에 장착된 센서들로부터 단말의 상황 정보를 수집하고 분석하여, 상황에 적절한 동영상을 단말에게 스트리밍해 주는 서비스 구조를 제안한다. 스마트 단말은 NFC 또는 QR 코드 기반으로 전시물이나 특정 사물에 기등록된 동영상 정보를 획득하고, 저밀도 기반 WiFi 무선 실내 측위 기술을 사용하여 단말이 위치한 실내 공간 정보를 서버에 제공한다. 상황인지형 스트리밍 서버는 단말이 요청한 정보를 토대로 단말의 해상도에 적절한 동영상을 스트리밍 한다. 설계된 상황인지형 비디오 스트리밍 서비스 구조는 전시와 컨벤션, 대형 기관 및 테마파크의 안내 및 홍보 등의 용도로 활용될 수 있다.
