Effect of neck design on peri-implant tissue responses in external connection type implant : a prospective pilot clinical study (외측연결형 임플란트 고정체의 경부 디자인이 임플란트 주위조직에 미치는 영향에 대한 전향적 예비 임상연구)

  • This clinical study was conducted to evaluate the clinical effects of a concave neck of external connection type implant fixture designed for platform switching on the peri-implant tissue responses. Two types of implants with different neck designs were implanted in 20 patients. For the experimental group, the bioseal(BS) implant fixtures with 's' shaped concave profile on the neck were used, and non-bioseal(NBS) implant fixtures with a straight profile on the neck were used as control(Total of 40 implants, NBS: n = 19, BS: n=21). During the one-year period after implant placement, implant survival rate, marginal bone resorption, bleeding, plaque, and complications were evaluated. The survival rate of NBS and BS group was 94.74% and 90.48%, respectively. There was no significant difference on marginal bone resorption, bleeding and plaque between the two groups (P>.05). Within the limits of the present study, implants with a concave neck design showed similar clinical results to implants with a straight neck design on the peri-implant tissue responses. Longitudinal clinical studies are necessary to confirm more effective clinical results.

  • The renewal of existing buildings rather than new construction has increased due to it's cost effective characteristics. Remodeling is also an environmentally-friendly approach that reduces the amount of waste in construction site. Remodeling can sometimes include partial destruction of the structural members of a building. In addition it is important that the buildings under going remodeling retrofitted to make themselves stable and meet up with the future demands for better structural performance. The objective of this paper is to present the test results and structural behavior of RC walls that are perforated and to introduce effective retrofitting methods by evaluating efficacy of passive retrofit and active retrofit. Passive retrofit and Active retrofit using carbon fiber sheets, steel plates and wire that are widely used for strengthening the main members of existing buildings. The test results showed that the failed specimens had shear fractures and that two different types of retrofit method had different effects on the strengths of each specimen.

Correction Factors for Modulus Calculation Equation used in Light Weight Deflectometer Considering Track Foundation (궤도노반 강성차이를 고려한 동평판재하시험(LWDT) 동탄성계수 산정공식 수정계수)

  • LWDT was developed for use as an alternative technique to measure the stiffness of trackbed soils. In this study, numerical and theoretical analyses of LWDT's acting mechanism were performed. The effectiveness of the adapted elastic formula used for calculation of the dynamic modulus, Evd, was investigated theoretically and also numerically by running ABAQUS analysis. The minimum thickness of the upper layer is proposed based on the analysis. Correction factors for the formula of elastic modulus are also proposed in this study. In the future, following field test results and laboratory mechanical tests such as the resonant column test, a guideline for the use of LWDT as a standard test protocol in track construction sites, as a measuring tool for the degree of compaction and/or stiffness and dynamic modulus, will be proposed based on this analysis.

Thermal Cycle Reliabilties and Cracking Characteristics of Electroplated Cr/Ni-P Coatings (전해 Cr/Ni-P 도금막의 열 사이클 신뢰성 및 균열거동 분석)

  • The effects of thermal cycle conditions on the bonding strength and crack propagation behaviors in electroplated Cr/electroplated Ni-P coatings were systematically evaluated. 1st heat treatment was performed at 500℃ for 3 hours after electroplating Ni-P, and then, 2nd heat treatment was performed at 750℃ for 6 hours after electroplating Cr. The measured bonding strength by ASTM C633 were around 25.6 MPa before thermal cycling, while it increased to 47.6 MPa, after 1,000 cycles. Increasing thermal cycles led to dominant fail mode with cohesive failure inside adhesive, which seemed to be closely related to the increasing bonding strength possibly not only due to higher Cr surface roughness, but also to penetrated channeling crack density. Also, increasing density of penetrated channeling cracks in electroplating Cr layer led to slightly stronger bonding strength due to mechanical interlocking effects of adhesive inside channeling cracks.

화합물 반도체 Cu(InGa)Se2박막 태양전지의 제작과 태양광발전 활용

  • 구리(Cu)-인듐(In)-갈륨(Ga)-셀레늄(Se)의 4 원소 화합물 반도체인 Cu(InGa)$Se_2$ (CIGS) 태양전지 세계 최고 셀효율은 2008년 현재 19.9% 로서 박막형 태양전지 중 가장 높은 효율을 보이고 있다. 이는 다결정(폴리) 실리콘 태양전지의 20.3%와 대등한 수준이다. 이 CIGS 태양전지는 제조단가를 표준 결정형 실리콘 태양전지 대비 50% 대로 획기적으로 낮출 수 있어 가장 경쟁력이 있는 차세대 재료로 꼽히고 있다. 본 연구에서는 CIGS태양전지를 고진공 물리 증작법으로 제작하였으며 표면과 박막의 순도를 외부오염을 방지하기 위하여 후면전극, 광흡수체 및 전면전극을 동일 진공에서 제작할 수 있는 멀티 챔버 클러스터 증착 시스템을 이용하였다. 기판으로 소다라 임유리, 후면전극으로 Mo, 전면전극으로 I-ZnO/Al:ZnO 및 ITO를 이용하였다. 버퍼층으로 CdS를 chemical bath deposition (CBD)를 이용하였다. 소자는 무반사막을 사용하지 않고 Al/Ni전극 그리드를 이용하였다. 이 소자로부터 0.22 $cm^2$에서 16%의 효율을 얻었다. 각 박막층 간 계면의 분석을 전기적인 특성, ellisometry에 의한 광특성, 표면과 결정성에 대한 SEM 및 XRD의 특성을 보고한다. 또한, 대표적 화합물 반도체 박막 태양전지인 CIGS 태양전지의 기술의 현황, 학문적인 과제 및 실용화의 문제점을 발표하기로 한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 7개 지점(여주, 적성, 왜관, 진동, 공주, 구례2, 나주)에 대해 유사량 특성 분석을 수행하였다. 부유사량은 강우가 집중되는 홍수기와 이의 전 후시기인 저 평수기(2회)로 나누어 왕복수심적분법(D-74)으로 측정하였고, 하상토는 BM-54, Grab Sampler(60 L), 선격자 등을 이용하여 홍수기 전 후로 2회 채취하였다. 채취된 시료는 그 목적에 따라 여과법(부유사농도), BW관법(부유사입도분포), 체분석법(하상토입도분포)으로 분석하였고, 그 결과로 작성된 평균 부유사농도 및 Oden Curve와 입도분포곡선과 수리량(수위, 유속, 측정수심, 수면폭, 수면경사, 수온)등의 자료를 이용하여 총유사량(미측정구간의 유사량 포함)을 추정(실측+계산: Modified Einstein)하였다. 총유사량 추정시, 세류사량을 제외한 부유사량을 적용하였다. 유량-부유사농도와 부유사량 및 총유사량 관계에 대한 결과는 다음과 같다: 1) 하나의 강우사상의 수위 상승-첨두-하강에 대한 측정성과는 대체적으로 Loop 형태를 보였고 이로 인해 일부 지점에서 측정성과들 간의 산포도가 다소 크게 나타났으며 수위 하강 때보다 상승시 초기 탁도의 증가 현상으로 부유사농도가 더 높은 것을 볼 수 있었다. 2) 유량-부유사농도, 부유사량, 총유사량 관계에서 왜관과 공주 지점의 경우, 첨두 수위에서 값들의 최고치를 보였고 나머지 지점들은 첨두 수위의 앞선 측정 수위에서 최고치를 보였다. 이는 강우사상별, 강우강도, 댐 방류량, 수위 상승-하강부, 유량에 따른 부유사농도와 부유사량의 특성이 각각 다른 점과 총유사량 추정시, 추정방법에서 추천하는 범위에서 벗어나는 자료를 적용해서 나타나는 결과로 판단된다. 여기서 유량, 수심, 하상토의 입도크기 등 자료의 범위가 추정공식들이 추천하는 범위에서 벗어나면 그 분석 결과도 서로 다르게 나타난다는 것은 그만큼 총유사량 공식의 범용성이 적다는 것을 의미한다. 이러한 점에서 때로는 자료 전체에 대해 전반적으로 양호한 결과를 보이는 공식보다는 정확한 답을 원하는 자료의 범위 내에서 예측하는 공식을 선정하는 것이 필요하다. 즉, 공식을 적용하여 유사량을 추정하고자 하는 하천이나 수로의 특성에 맞는 유사량 공식을 선정하는 것이 중요하다는 것이다.

Electrochemical Corrosion Characteristics of Dental Prostheses High-Palladium Alloys (치과용 고-Pd계 합금의 부식특성)

  • In vitro corrosion resistance of the commercially used 76.5wt.%Pd-17.6%Cu-7.2%Ga and 77.3%Pd-6.0%Ga dental Prostheses high-Palladium system alloys in cast, degassing and porcelain-firing heat treatment conditions were evaluated by the potentiodynamic polarization technique in the de-aerated 0.9%NaCl and a modified Fusayama electrolyte. From the corrosion rate experimental results, we found that there is a small difference in the corrosion resistance depending on the microstructure. However. it was so small that there is no significant problem as a dental material. The 77.3%Pd-6.0%Ga showed better corrosion resistance than the 76.5%Pd-11.6%Cu-7.2%Ga dental Prostheses high-palladium system alloys. These experimental observations in 76.5%Pd-11.6%Cu-7.2%Ga alleys are mainly due to a rapid quenching and Cu in the alloy which accelerate the eutectic reaction with a segregation and Precipitates in the microstructure. On the ocher hand, 77.3%Pd-6.0%Ga alloys, which are solid-solution matrix, show much better col·lesion resistance compared with that of 76.5%Pd-11.6%Cu-7.2%Ga alloys.

  • To examine the general features of a sand-clay composite triaxial test by making specimen varying ratios of diameters (dw) of sand columns that are installed on the soft ground as drains to diameters (de) of drain zone so called drainage space ratio (n=de/dw), densities of the granular columns, and strength of soft soils round around. I also conducted a test to research the reinforcement ability and effects of the ground when the granular columns are wrapped with supplementary materials such as geotextile. The results of the triaxial compression test showed that the shear strength increase is much big when the granular columns are wrapped with supplementary materials, while the shear strength increases as the diameter and density of the granular column increase in general. Also the drainage space ratio shows a distinct increase just below 3 and a similar shear behavior to sand is appeared. The pore water pressure coefficient decreases as the drainage space ratio decreases, however, when the drainage space ratio is less than 3~4, it declines significantly as shown in the results of shear behavior.

  • Electronic boards of Far-ultraviolet IMaging Spectrograph (FIMS) should be designed to maintain their performances, and their temperatures should be remained within the allowed temperatures in operational environments. Thermal analysis at the electronic board level has been performed, and it is confirmed the electronics parts could be kept within their allowed temperature ranges.

  • Pd-Ag alloy membranes have attracted a great deal of attention for their use in hydrogen purification and separation due to their high theoretical permeability, infinite selectivity and chemical compatibility with hydro-carbon containing gas streams. For commercial application, Pd-based membranes for hydrogen purification and separation need not only a high perm-selectivity but also a stable long-term durability. However, it has been difficult to fabricate thin, dense Pd-Ag alloy membranes on a porous stainless steel metal support with surface pores free and a stable diffusion barrier for preventing metallic diffusion from the porous stainless steel support. In this study, thin Pd-Ag alloy membranes were prepared by advanced Pd/Ag/Pd/Ag/Pd multi-layer sputter deposition on the modified porous stainless steel support using rough polishing/$ZrO_2$ powder filling and micro-polishing surface treatment, and following Ag up-filling heat treatment. Because the modified Pd-Ag alloy membranes using rough polishing/$ZrO_2$ powder filling method demonstrate high hydrogen permeability as well as diffusion barrier efficiency, it leads to the performance improvement in hydrogen perm-selectivity. Our membranes, therefore, are expected to be applicable to industrial fields for hydrogen purification and separation owing to enhanced functionality, durability and metal support/Pd alloy film integration.
