The Problem of Theodicy in Daesoon Jinrihoe (대순진리회에서 신정론 문제)

  • This study aims to explain theodicy in Daesoon Jinrihoe using established theodicies. Theodicy in Daesoon Jinrihoe can be described as follows: within the worldview of Daesoon Jinrihoe, the problems of evil and suffering are better addressed by analyzing the problem of mutual contention. Accordingly, theodicy in Daesoon Jinrihoe is a matter which should be discussed only in regards to the time period known as the Former World and the transition period after the Reordering Works that leads up to the Later World. The Later World does not operate under patterns of mutual contention. Consequently, there will be no suffering. Therefore, issues of theodicy are irrelevant in the Later World. Theodicy should be dealt differently as it pertains to the Former World and the previously mentioned transition period. Daesoon Thought posits that there is an underlying principle presides over the cosmos, and the divine beings act in accordance with it and perform specific duties in their own subdivisions. The cosmic principle is able to contain cycles of both Sanggeuk ('mutual destruction' in general usage, but 'mutual contention' in Daesoon Thought related to the Former World) and sangsaeng ('mutual generation' in general usage and 'mutual beneficence' in Daesoon Thought related to the Later World). Suffering came into being due to mutual contention. However, mutual contention was not set into motion maliciously, but was arranged instead to facilitate the realization of greater values such as growth and development. In other words, mutual contention are not products of a moral value the nature of which is bad or wrong. Yet, since the world has operated under mutual contention from time immemorial, a nearly incalculably vast multitude of grievances have accumulated. In addition, the divine beings who had operated under mutual contention often made mistakes and spread confusion. This extreme situation resulted in tremendous disasters breaking out all over the world. Perhaps this particular theodicy could be named "Dualistic Sanggeuk Theology (Dualistic Theodicy of Mutual Contention)." After the divine beings reported to the Supreme God that the world had fallen into a serious crisis, the Supreme God penetratingly examined the circumstances of the world and then descended to Earth as a human being named Jeungsan. As Jeungsan practiced the Reordering Works of Heaven and Earth, the Great Opening was preordained by Him. As a result, the transition period started, and from that point onward, theodicy should be described differently. It is presumed that all creatures will be judged at the time of the Great Opening. This will result in the annihilation of all wicked beings including both divine beings and humans. There will also be the establishment of an earthly paradise as well as grievance resolution for all beings prior the Great Opening. This can also be called "The Eschatological Theodicy of the Resolution of Grievances." Theodicy in Daesoon Jinrihoe adopts the two theodicies mentioned above. In addition to that, various theodicies from other traditions such as Irenaean ("soul-making") Theodicy, Free Will Theodicy, Recompense Theodicy, Afterlife Theodicy, Karma Samsara Theodicy, theodicy of participation, and Communion Theodicy can all potentially be applied on a case by case basis.

Phase Offset of Binary Code and Its Application to the CDMA Mobile Communications (이원부호의 위상 오프셋과 CDMA 이동 통신에의 응용)

  • It is important to know phase offsets of a spreading code in the code division multiple access(CDMA) mobile communication systems because different phase offsets of the same spreading code are used to distinguish each base station. When the period of the code is not that long, the relative phase offset between the code and its shifted code can be found by comparing them, but as the period of the code increases it becomes difficult to find the phase offset. This paper describes a method to calculate the phase offset of a binary code based on the number theoretical approach. We define an accumulator function which plays a central role in this paper, and relationships between the functions are clarified. This number theoretical approach and their results show that this method is very easy for the phase offset calculation. Its application to the CDMA system and circuit realization of the phase offset calculation are also discussed.

조형공간의 다원성에 대한 생태학적 접근

  • 21세기는 과학적 물질문명의 발달로 인하여, 과거에는 느껴보지 못했던 물질문명의 풍요를 이끌어 냈으며, 컴퓨터, 메스미디어의 발달로 인하여, 인간 문명의 관심은 지구계를 벗어나 우주론적으로 확장되어 마침내 우주시대를 열었다. 하지만 인간의 이성과 함께 영원하리라 믿었던 과학적 합리성은 20세기 초두에 제국주의적 전쟁을 일으키게 되었으며, 그로 말미암아 이성 파괴 현상이 드러나게 되었다. 급기야 20세기말에 이르러 다원주의라 칭하기도 하는 후기산업사회의 병적 증후군들, 국가간의 경제전쟁, 컴퓨터 및 각종 정보매체를 통한 신속한 정보교환의 이면에는 인간의 자기정체성의 혼돈을 아울러 초래하게 되었다. 과학기술의 발달로 생태계 및 환경은 오염되고 파괴되었다. 20세기말에는 산성비, 엘니뇨, 라니냐 현상으로 인하며, 환경의 재앙을 초래하면서 이제 인간은 문명에 대하여 여태껏 가져왔던 확고한 믿음에 회의를 갖게 된 것이다. 이와 같은 현상은 인간의 주체적 인식과 과학적 믿음의 지나친 숭배로 인하며 자연도 인간에 의하여 지배되고 인간을 위해서만 존재하는, 인간과 자연의 이원론적인 생각 즉, 인간의 이성에 의해서만 가능하다고 생각한 "근대적 주체"에 대한 맹신의 결과인 것이다. 이렇듯 20세기의 문제점은 21세기로 전가되어 여전히 계속되고 있으며, 세계내의 가장 큰 문제점은 전쟁, 기아 등 보다 이제는 오히려 환경. 생태문제로 귀결되어 지구의 생존권 자체가 위협을 받게 되었다. 미술도 서구문명의 근대주의적 영향에 의해서 모더니즘 등 이성위주의 미술인 "근대 주체적 미술"로 발전하였지만 포스터모더니즘에서 보여 지듯 이미 인간의 순수한 이성을 근간으로 한 미술에 있어서의 주체성 주장은 상당부분 무너졌으며, 이제는 장르의 해체와 다원화 현상으로 나아가게 되었다. 환경파괴에 직면하여 이제 주체는 자연이라는 타자를 새롭게 등장시킨다. 그리하여 생명중심주의, 전체론, 감각 중심주의 등 인간과 자연이 함께 공생하는 자연을 향한 생태적인 미술이 절실히 요구되는 것이다. 이에 본 연구논문은 무비판적 서구미술에 동요되지 않고, 지극히 자연적이고 동양적이기도 한 끊임없이 생명력을 창출해 내는 자연에 관심을 같게 되었으며, 환경의 중요성과 함께 생태학적 미술, 즉 생태미술에 본인의 작업을 관계시키고자 한다. 근대적 문명사에 의해 매장된 생태적 유기성의 흔적을 고고학적 탐사방법을 통하며 발굴해 내며, 환경윤리와 생태학, 심층 생태학, 북친의 '사회 생태학'을 수용하여 물질성의 생태적 복원과 함께 조형공간의 다원성에 대한 생태 미술의 일단을 규명코자 하였다.

A Study on Implications of Recognition Paradigm for Social Work (대안적 비판이론으로서 인정 패러다임의 사회복지적 함의)

  • The main purpose of the study is to explore the implications of Recognition Paradigm for domains of social work, especially focusing on the arguments exchanged between Axel Honneth and Nancy Fraser, two eminent scholars in this field. The Recognition paradigm, which is an alternative perspective in practical philosophy developed to cope with the changing socio-political situations in the late modern society, is providing the domain of social work with a lot of important theoretical and practical implications as well. In particular, Honneth's recognition theory which considers the recognition as a basic prototype in human development and construction of society is able to clarify the fundamental mission and territory the social work profession is to pursue. But for the meanwhile, Fraser's dual perspective of justice, which is an extended version of redistributive justice introducing the recognition component in it, can suggest diverse practical strategies to confront complex injustice-making structures effectively in the later modern society. In spite of these abundant implications in both theoretical and practical areas, the recognition paradigm still save several fundamental considerations for social work, such as the real meaning of the recognition in social work, the exact population from whom social work seek to get recognition, and the adequate strategy, so-called "recognition struggle" which social work is to employ to acquire the recognition.

  • Plato's ontology is closer to Holism, which is based on IDEA, than to Dualism, which regards the matter and soul as being independently from each other. According to his metaphysics, the sensory things are the copies of IDEA. and IDEA is the original of them. Hence human body and soul are not separate from each other, but are ontologically continuous and functionally complementary. The reason why Plato's view of education, which pursues the perfection of the soul, emphasizes the physical training and makes it the premise of study is this ontology. It seems that Park Eun-sik, an independent activist in the late period of Joseon Dynasty, has a view of education similar to Plato's. He emphasized the importance of education on martial art in order to restore the our people's inner quality, 'Mind(心)'. Both Plato and Park Eun-sik thoughts that the education of physical training and martial art was the premise of study to make the humanity they pursued. And they expected that the talented people raised through the curriculum proposed by them would lead the prosperity of the nation by fulfilling their respective roles in society. In conclusion, from the view of Plato and Park Eun-sik's thoughts, it can be said that, the education of physical training and martial art for students is the premise of the study for personal perfection of human beings, and essential curriculum for making the ideal state that they dreamed.

The Problem of Freedom: Merleau-Ponty and Sartre (자유의 문제: 메를로-퐁티와 사르트르)

  • Our freedom is natural, however we are amazed at the fact that we don't sometimes have the freedom. we have to have a freedom and must be a freedom. But we think our life is restrained. Why do we think that? This is due to epistemological thinking. Also critic of Sartre' freedom is due to that. Especially Merleau-Ponty's researchers say that Sartre is an epistemologist on the problem of the freedom and his freedom is an absolute freedom. Aim of this paper is to find out problem of the critic. To achieve this, first we need to exmaine what absoulte freedom is. It is abstract and ideological. According to Merleau-Ponty, it dosen't exist. This paper argues that Sartre's freedom is not epistemoligical but ontological. It is going to come out in relation between '$l^{\prime}{\hat{e}}tre-en-soi$' and '$l^{\prime}{\hat{e}}tre-en-soi$'. Then, on the problem of the freedom, we can discover that Sartre and Merleau-Ponty are no different from each other. Finally, As I argue about Merleau-Ponty's freedom, I will show that it is 'a freedom of situation' and 'a freedom of choice'. Also, This freedom is Sartre's freedom. Sartre showes a situation is my freedom.

기업가치 평가모형과 세후 가중평균자본비용 추정모형에 관한 연구 - 법인세, 도산확률, 이익조정 하에서의 모형도출 -

  • 본 연구는 기업가치를 측정하기 위해서 활용될 수 있는 두 가지의 새로운 모형을 개발하였다. 두 가지 모형은 모두 자산가치와 수익가치의 가중평균으로 기업의 본질가치를 표현할 수 있다는데 공통적인 특징이 있다. 첫째 모형은 도산확률 하의 세후 기업가치 가중평균모형이다. 현금흐름할인법으로 알려진 전체기업가치 평가방법론(entity approach)에 기초한 기업가치 평가모형인 이원흠 최수미(2002)의 지식자산가치 평가모형 및 이원흠 최수미(2004)의 가중평균 가치평가모형으로부터 도산확률 하의 세후 가중평균 기업가치 평가모형을 도출하였다. 이 모형은 기업가치는 수익가치 및 실물자산의 가치와 지급이자의 절세효과, 예상도산비용 등 4부분으로 구성된다는 것을 보여 주고 있다. 둘째 모형은 이익조정에 의한 비정상발생액을 감안한 기업가치 가중평균모형이다. 회계학 분야에 주로 발전한 발생액을 고려한 이익의 질(quality of earnings)을 기업가치 측면에서 평가할 수 있는 새로운 모형이다. 이익의 질을 고려한 기업가치 평가모형도 첫째 모형의 도출논리에 의거하여 세후 혹은 도산확률 하의 세후 기업가치 평가모형으로 확장할 수 있다. 새로이 개발된 가중평균 가치평가모형을 통해 추정한 수익가치와 자산가치의 가중치, 가중평균자본비용 등의 정보는 상장주식의 목표가격 평가, 투자등급 판정 등에 활용될 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 신규상장주식의 공모가, 비상장기업의 합병가액산정, 지주회사의 가치평가 등 비상장기업의 가치평가 분야에 광범위하게 응용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • This is a study on the dualism of gender through the costume in the Middle Age. Jeanne d'Arc was an existential person in the Hundred Year's war(1338-1453). She persisted in retaining male attire and armour at her own request. One of the points for which she had been condemned was the wearing of male apparel. It was judged as an evil spirit and rendered Jeanne a witch and a heretic therefore she was burned to death in the market place at Rouen, on the 30th May, 1431. It is one of the evidence which represent dualism of gender through the costume.

A Dual-factors Analysis of BPR Success Factors (리엔지니어링 성공요인의 이원론적 분석)

  • The previous BPR success factor research assumes that a success factor is responsible for both the success and failure of the BPR implementation. This paper proposes that a BPR success factor is not necessarily a failure factor, i.e., success and failure of BPR implementation are two distinct phenomena that possess different sets of causal factors. The paper also proposes that the factors are different in terms of the degree and type of influence they exert on the BPR implementation. An empirical research was conducted to validate the propositions. The research results indicate that the BPR success and failure have different causal factor sets, and that the factor influence manifests in different realms and domains. The implications of the research are discussed at the end.

Structure and Texture: A Note on Ransom′s Dualism (틀과 결: 랜섬의 이원론에 대한 고찰)

  • According to John Crowe Ransom, "the poem is a loose logical structure with an irrelevant local texture." As is implied in the opposition between "structure" and "texture," Ransom′s is a dualistic, that is, non-organic, theory of poetry, in which the poem′s sound does not have any expressive function while its figurative language always goes beyond the realm of abstract meaning and celebrates the ontological density of the world. His theory relies heavily upon a series of oppositions-poetry and prose, art and science, concrete and universal, artistic and utilitarian, to name only a few-in order to uphold the humanistic value of poetry ("poetry as knowledge"). There is, however, a sense that his theoretical consistency derives from a determined refusal to see the blurry borderline between the oppositions. It is more or less easy to point out where Ransom′s theory falters, but more critical efforts should be made to probe into the personal and cultural significance of his persistent dualistic viewpoint. For Ransom the southerner, life demands the precarious balance between the oppositions as the very precondition for its existence and his dualism represents a way to understand man′s fallen state at the realistic level.
