In this study, the use of mainstream online news site and alternative online news site were compared in the aspects of users' characteristics, attitude on online news sites, and using pattern. A survey was conducted for 182 mainstream-only users, 46 alternative online news users, and 47 both sites users, Also, their traffic data of online news sites were analyzed during the 16th presidential election. As a result, it was found that both sites users had the highest political interest and the most progressive political position among the user groups. In the aspect of users' attitude, mainstream-only users were most positive to the mainstream online news site and both sires users were most positive and more involved in alternative online news site. But all user groups set higher credibility on alternative online news site than mainstream online news sire. In the comparison of user size, mainstream online news site has larger user size than alternative online site. However, the user royalty, such as time per person, pages per person, and visiting days per person, was lower than that of the latter. These results suggest thar small but differentiated news sires have royal users, and online news users be segmented according to news contents.

The popularization of the internet has produced an explosion in amount of the information. The importance of web personalization is being more and more increased. The personalization is realized by learning user's interest. User's interest is changing continuously and rapidly. We use user's profile to represent user's interest. User's profile is updated to reflect the change of user's interest. In this paper we present an adaptive learning algorithm that can be used to reflect user's interest that is changing with time. We propose the User's profile model. With this profile user's interest is learned based on user's feedback. This approach has applied to develop hybrid recommendation system.

최근에 일반인의 영상과 자신의 이미지에 대한 대중적 관심은 새로운 멀티미디어 응용 서비스를 모색하게 한다. 그러므로, 컴퓨터 그래픽스 기술 및 다양한 멀티미디어 관련기술을 이용해서 기존의 영상 소프트를 재가공하고, 이를 이용자에게 서비스한다면 고부가가치를 얻을 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 이용자의 개인 이미지와 기존의 영상 소프트를 이용해서 이용자가 원하는 내용의 영상 소프트를 제공하기 위한 멀티미디어 응용시스템인 주문형 개인 이미지(PIOD; Personal Image On Demand) 시스템을 제안하고, 이를 위해서 필요한 기술 및 문제점에 대해서 고찰하도록 한다.

인터넷이라는 거대한 네트워크 망을 통해서 다양한 정보를 손쉽게 주고받을 수 있게 되었다. 하지만 대부분의 이용자들은 네트워크의 편리한 사용에만 관심을 두고 있으며, 보안에는 별로 신경을 쓰지 않고 있는 추세이다. 인터넷 이용자가 늘어남에 따라 정보들에 대한 보호의 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 보안은 개별 인터넷 이용자 시스템에서 시작하여 인터넷 서버 관리자 시스템까지 광범위하게 적용되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 최근 유행하는 2가지 대표적인 해킹 사고의 예를 들어 원인을 분석하고 이를 방지하기 위한 대비책을 제시하며, 추후의 해킹 기술의 동향을 제시한다.

This study aims to focus on classifying the search engine queries according to web query topic and the different user intents behind web queries. First, we classified 10,000 web query data set by topic. The results showed that there was significant differences in interesting topics across time. Also, we categorized 500 popular queries in web search engine as informational, navigational, or transactional. As a result, 82 percent of web queries are informational in nature, with about 10.8 percent for navigational and 7.2 percent for transactional. This results will help establish the policy to provide internet contents based on user's intent and also find out the social and cultural characteristics.

This paper proposes a conceptual framework to explore the ways in which people work with in accessing, sharing, and navigating Web resources. In order to provide a better frame of a user's interaction with a folksonomy, an information foraging approach was adapted that denotes adaptive information seeking behaviors of users within human information interaction. A conceptual framework that consists of three different components from users' points of view was proposed: tagging, navigation, and knowledge sharing. This understanding will help us to motivate possible future directions of research in folksonomy and lay the groundwork for empirical research which focuses on qualitative analysis of a folksonomic and users' tagging behaviors.

공공도서관은 지역주민의 다양한 정보요구와 관심사를 충족시키기 위해 필요한 각종 정보자료를 광범위하게 구성하여야 한다. 이렇듯 공공도서관은 방문하는 이용자들의 배경이 다양하고 도서관을 찾는 목적 또한 다양하기 때문에 모든 이용자의 요구를 충분히 만족시키기에 어려움을 겪고 있으며, 이를 극복하기 위한 노력으로 공공도서관 자료의 만족 수준을 높일 수 있는 장서개발정책 연구가 필요하다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 공공도서관의 장서개발정책을 제안하기 위해 서울특별시 소재 구립 공공도서관 10개관 이용자들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 이용자의 장서 이용 행태를 파악하고, 이를 바탕으로 서울시 구립 공공도서관을 위한 장서개발정책을 제안한다.

디지털 기술의 급속한 발전으로 시간과 공간의 제약이 없는 인프라 환경이 구현되면서 더욱 더 유연하고 빠른 적응성에 대한 요구가 정치, 경제, 문화 전반에 확산됨에 따라 IT 기술을 통해서 이러한 요구를 충족시킬 수 있는 서비스로 대두되고 있는 것이 바로 클라우드 서비스이다. 이러한 클라우드 서비스 시대의 개막은 관련 기업뿐만 아니라 공공기관, 개인에 이르기까지 모든 영역의 서비스 이용자들의 삶에도 큰 변화를 가져올 것이다. 그러나 클라우드 서비스에 대한 기존의 논의는 주로 사업자의 입장에서 클라우드 비즈니스 모델의 발굴, 수익 모델의 발굴, 클라우드 기술 발전에 따른 전망 등에 초점을 맞추어져 왔다. 따라서 정작 클라우드 서비스 이용자는 상대적으로 낮은 관심을 받아온 것이 사실이다. 이는 새로운 기술에 비즈니스 모델이 등장하면 반복되던 현상이 클라우드 서비스 분야에서도 반복되고 있는 것으로도 볼 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 클라우드 서비스중 SaaS 서비스의 이용자 측면에서 서비스 이용행태를 분석하고 이를 기반으로 향후 SaaS 서비스의 전망에 대하여 논의하고자 한다. 이를 위해 SaaS 서비스 이용자를 현재 서비스를 이용하고 있는 이용자군과 현재에는 SaaS 서비스를 이용하지는 않지만 향후에는 서비스를 이용할 의도를 가지고 있는 잠재이용자군로 구분하여 설문조사를 수행한 설문결과를 토대로 이용자의 이용행태를 분석하고 향후 SaaS 서비스 전망을 기술하기로 한다.

Library users must provide their personal information to libraries. This study surveyed these library users' perception of privacy and the effect of the education after providing library user privacy education. As a result, first, it was found that after education, users were more interested in their privacy, rated the problem of library user privacy as more severe, and rated library user data collection as more likely to be considered privacy invasion. Second, we investigated users' perception of how much user service records being collected in libraries violate users' privacy, which showed a great perception change in 25 questions after the education. Third, in the survey about library and librarians' efforts for protecting library user privacy, it was found that all 15 questions were rated as significantly more important after education. Fourth, library users have recognized that is necessary to process and handle the library record and are more sympathetic to the need for this procedure. Fifth, library users felt the possibility of a library record leak was a very serious threat.

The purpose of this study is to survey the real user educations which are practiced at school libraries in Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeongi provinces, to analyze them, and to propose the efficient methods for user education in school libraries. The results of this study are like these: 1) Teacher librarians have to be placed in every school library. 2) Teacher librarians have to develop the education contents for library user education. 3) School libraries ought to be supported by education authorities and school directors. 4) School libraries should practice the user education based on the regular school curriculum. It's thought that it's important to solve the problems like these: teacher librarians' disposition, and the attentions of school directors, students, teachers, and parents, the development of education contents, and the having plenty time for user education.
