Survey on the Awareness of the Public and Visitors about the National Forest Trail : Focusing on Jirisan Trail and Daegwallyeong Forest Trail (국가숲길에 대한 국민과 이용객 인식조사: 지리산둘레길과 대관령숲길을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide the basic data necessary for stakeholders to establish and promote policies related to the national forest trail. Awareness analysis was conducted on 800 visitors to the national forest trail, specifically to the Jirisan trail and Daegwallyeong forest trail, as well as 1,200 members of the public. Awareness of the national forest trail was low and at a similar level for both visitors and the general public; however, compared with the general public, the visitors had a higher need for the national forest trail system and were willing to visit and recommend the trail. The most common answers in response to the purpose of visit, reason for choosing the national trail, matters of interest, problems, necessary regulation, and role expectations were similar among the visitors and general public. Based on gender and age, there was a significant difference in the matters of interest and desired activity, but "scenery" was the most crucial factor. Therefore, after a comprehensive survey on the major view points, given that "scenery" was identified as an attractor, a system should be developed to identify and provide the information desired by visitors and the general public. These results are expected to be employed as basic data for stakeholders in decision making related to the national forest trail.

Understanding the Perceptions and Service Quality of Korean Foods : A Comparative Cross-cultural Study of International Tourists Visiting Korea (한국음식에 대한 인식과 서비스품질의 차이 : 방한 외국인 관광객 비교문화연구)

  • This study examines international tourists 'perceived images and service quality of Korean foods. A survey was conducted to international tourists(Chinese, Japanese, American) visiting Korea. The results of study show that there is a significant difference in several attributes of Korean traditional foods as perceived by international tourists along their nationality. Particularly, American tourists tend to highly evaluate Korean foods as ones good for health. The perceived attractiveness of Korean foods in terms of color and shape is higher for Chinese and Americans than Japanese. A distinct difference is also found in the importance and performance attributes of perceived quality of Korean foods by the nationality of tourists. The results of IPA for the perceived quality of Korean traditional foods show that the restaurant facility and atmosphere are identified as the ones that need to be improved across all the tourists.

  • The railroad is one of the most popular means of transport. However, railroad agencies are managing the railroad information and provide its service respectively. That is, because of managing the different information and its type, the user will not receive the correct and integrated information. Thus, it is needed to employ methods for converting the various types of railroad information into the unified railroad information. In this study, we investigated how to (semi-)automatically convert railroad information in each agencies to standard railroad information. Railroad passengers can use the railroad information service at a time, at a glance and in one place. In addition, we believe that there can be provided the opportunity to create an new service, which will dramatically develop a railroad information service through these systematic and integrated railroad information management.

  • This study was designed to analyze the impacts of the Festival's service quality to identify influence of Festival visitor's attitude and behavior. The result of the verification are follows : Fist festival's perceived service quality affecting potential visitors' attitude. Second potential visitors' attitude affect their behavior. This finding is contribute to the understanding of festival attendee behavior, to give useful suggestion to festival's effective development and management. Quality of festival the research which precedes in the object measuring element in the center escape. Integral part the service quality of festival escape, service quality integral part of at that resultant festival 5 dimensions became escape. This findings contribute to the understanding of festival attendee behavior, providing researchers and practitioners with insights into how effectively to design a festival.

Access Delay Characteristics of Wi-Fi Network According to User Increase in Subway Section (지하철 구간에서 이용객 증가에 따른 Wi-Fi 접속 지연 특성)

  • LTE and Wi-Fi networks provide wireless communication services to passengers in subway where the number of network access fluctuates according to passenger movement. While the number of network access increase, LTE can provide stable communication service but Wi-Fi suffers temporal access delay to network. This paper analyzes the increase in access delay of Wi-Fi network according to increasing user in subway section by making mathematical modeling of Wi-Fi network and simulation study. The access delay characteristics of Wi-Fi network is measured along an subway line and the results are compared to the theoretical study. These results can be applied to the connection method to build an efficient network structure between LTE and Wi-Fi interworking network and the future introduction of LTE-R.

  • It is possible to provide Smart Tourism Service through the development of information technology. It is necessary for the tourism industry to understand and utilize Big Data that has tourists' consumption patterns and service usage patterns in order to continuously create a new business model by converging with other industries. This study suggests to activate Jeju Smart Tourism by analyzing Big Data based on credit card usage records and location of tourists in Jeju. The results of the study show that First, the percentage of Chinese tourists visiting Jeju has decreased because of the effect of THAAD. Second, Consumption pattern of Chinese tourists is mostly occurring in the northern areas where airports and duty-free shops are located, while one in other regions is very low. The regional economy of Jeju City and Seogwipo City shows a overall stagnation, without changes in policy, existing consumption trends and growth rates will continue in line with regional characteristics. Third, we need a policy that young people flow into by building Jeju Multi-complex Mall where they can eat, drink, and go shopping at once because the number of young tourists and the price they spend are increasing. Furthermore, it is necessary to provide services for life-support related to weather, shopping, traffic, and facilities etc. through analyzing Wi-Fi usage location. Based on the results, we suggests the marketing strategies and public policies for understanding Jeju tourists' patterns and stimulating Jeju tourism industry.

A Study Analyzing the Effect of the Service Quality of Food Festival Websites and Review Information on Satisfaction with Use and Behavioral Intention (음식축제 웹사이트 서비스품질과 이용후기 정보성이 이용만족 및 행동의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to look into the service quality of websites and the attributes of review information thereon as perceived by visitors thereto and to analyze the effect that the service quality of festival websites and informative usefulness of testimonials would have on the satisfaction with use, along with the effect that the satisfaction with use would have on behavioral intention. Based on the results of this study, we intended to present measures that could help strengthen the intention to spread positive word-of-mouth for festivals and to visit a festival through satisfaction with a festival's website. The festival selected to achieve the objectives of this study was the Yeongdeok Snow Crab Festival, which is one of the most renowned local food festivals in the Gyeongbuk region, having been held for 17 consecutive years, and has been selected as the top festival of Gyeongsangbuk-do for 4 consecutive years. We surveyed visitors to Yeongdeok Snow Crab Festival who had searched for information on the Yeongdeok Snow Crab Festival prior to its opening, as well as those who had participated in Yeongdeok Snow Crab Festival before. The results of this study showed that review information on a food festival website, service quality design, adequacy of substance, responsiveness to customers, and system capability were found to have a positive effect on behavioral intention through satisfaction with use. The findings suggest that it is crucial to manage the service quality of websites in order to stimulate interest in, and induce visits to, food festivals.

  • 위치기반 서비스는 사용자의 위치를 자동으로 인식하여 사용자의 위치를 고려한 맞춤형 서비스를 제공하며, 일반적으로 위치정보 획득을 위해 GPS(Global Positioning System)를 이용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 GPS 수신기를 통해 수신된 정보로부터 차량의 위치정보를 인식하고, 이를 사전에 설정된 관광 차량의 이동경로와 비교 분석하여 안내 방송이 필요한 각 관광지까지의 거리와 소요시간 등을 실시간으로 인식한다. 또, 이러한 인식결과를 이용하여 사전 또는 실시간으로 설정된 관광지의 멀티미디어 관광 콘텐츠를 영상과 음성으로 재생하여 관광객에게 제공하게 된다. 특히, 각각 사용 언어가 다른 사용자가 동시에 서비스를 이용하더라도 별도의 음성채널을 통하여 서비스를 제공하며, 사용자 수신기에서 채널을 선택하여 이용하므로 사용자 편의성을 높일 수 있다.

  • Recently, the number of cars owned in Jeju Island and the use of tourist rental cars have been increasing rapidly. Therefore, parking problems are getting worse in residential and commercial areas. As a result, a system is required to secure parking spaces and utilize existing parking spaces. Therefore, this paper proposes a system for real-time sharing of free public and paid parking spaces by introducing services that provide information on nearby restaurants, tourist information, and real-time parking status. The system analyzes infrared sensors and CCTV images installed in the actual parking lot and provides convenience for service users by analyzing the space currently in use and the number of unused parking spaces in real time.
