A study on the automatic batch management system for the image contents (이미지 콘텐츠 일괄 자동화 관리기술에 대한 연구)

  • As a high-speed growth of internet infrastructure and a fast supply of digital imaging devices, a digital image contents industrialization is growing fast. Digital image contents are represented as digitalized images for recognition by the computer. This paper proposes the customized stock image contents management system for digital image contents developers and UCC contents producers. For automatic batch management of image contents, we design the system using the techniques of stock image meta-data conversion to want, image contents format conversion to want and selective image contents uploading to want. Furthermore, constructed system can be embedded to a system easy and fast. It provides efficient work environment as appling conventional systems and contributes for user-friendly interface construction.

  • 무선인터넷 분야는 전송속도 및 서비스를 제공받는 단말기의 특성상 콘텐츠 크기의 제약을 가지다. 그 크기란 현재 무선기기의 전송속도에 의해 정해진 것으로 앞으로 더 높은 전송속도를 가지게 된다면 상관없겠지만, 현재는 이 전송량의 한계 때문에 거의 대부분의 콘텐츠들은 이미지보다는 상대적으로 크기가 적은 텍스트 기반으로 설계되고 만들어지고 있다. 하지만, 이미지를 기반으로 하는 게임 응용분야의 경우 이와 같은 제약으로 인해 상대적으로 작은 이미지만으로 구현하고 있다. 본 논문은 현재의 콘텐츠 제약에 따르면서, 큰 이미지를 일정 패턴을 갖는 다수의 작은 이미지로 분할하는 기법을 통해 상대적으로 적은 데이터 전송량으로 이미지를 처리할 수 있는 이미지 기반의 사용자 인터페이스를 제작할 수 있는 이미지 분할 관리 기법을 제안하고, 실제 게임 구현을 통해 그 실용성을 보여준다.

  • An environment of information sharing is developed as a high-speed growth of internet infrastructure and a fast supply of digital imaging devices. Therefore, developing and supply various digital contents are needed. As occasion demands, the utility of editing tools with a simple image viewer, or programs to need technical education increased. One of subproblems is to take long time for editing images. In this paper, we propose a new method which is a method to edit images in a lump. This method has advantages compared with the previous searching engines in terns of performances and speed. Also, we propose the new approach for developing fusion graphic image contents as binding each advantages of the category. It reduces the production time and costs of contents by the proposed method.

  • The CGI(Computer-generated Image) techniques provide designers with an effective means of creating design artifacts in an automatic way. It has been pointed that two important activities while applying the CGI techniques are both image generation and managemental issues for the generated images. By applying automatic generation techniques for creation of images, designers can acquire benefits in that they can produce free style results in a simple way. Along with such benefits, it is also important for designer to identify and to establish well defined mechanisms for storing vast quantity of auto-generated CGIs. However, it is problematic to assign key-words and to classify abstract images mainly because they lack an analogy of the real world entities. This paper presents classification scheme for the abstract CGIs by applying classification and description criteria from the viewpoint of both design elements and emotional elements. Effective classification and specification can help designers build and retrieve desired images in an easy way, and make management process more simple and effective.

  • As the amount of information increases explosively with the development of society, the need for a digital archive has emerged in order to maintain information efficiently. There is a current standard of digital archive is OAIS(Open Archival Information System) reference model. OAIS reference model is mainly interested in long-term preservation and concerned about comprehensive content. This paper propose digital archive workflow that is used not only for long-term preservation but also for the efficient utilization with the image data. The OAIS reference model and the metadata standard should be added surge information to build a digital archive. Therefore we propose metadata model should be managed based on multi-level classes not only for effective digital image archive but also for utilization.

  • This study introduces a technology utilizing digital images as electronic money by inserting watermark into the images. Watermarking technology assign contents ID to images and inserts the contents ID into the images in an unnoticeable way. The server that manages the issue and the usage of mage electronic money (called ‘WaterCash’ hereafter) stores issued contents ID to database and manage them as electronic money. WaterCash guarantees anonymity and prevents the forgery and modification of WaterCash based on semi-fragile watermarking technique. In addition, WaterCash is transferable and the illegal use of WaterCash can be prevented based on the watermarking technology. The watermarking .technology used in this paper was designed to be robust to image compression but vulnerable to intentional or non-intentional Image processing.

A Study on Image Copyright Archive Model for Museums (미술관 이미지저작권 아카이브 모델 연구)

  • The purpose of this multi-disciplinary convergent study is to establish Image Copyright Archive Model for Museums to protect image copyright and vitalize the use of images out of necessity of research and development on copyright services over the life cycle of art contents created by the museums and out of the necessity to vitalize distribution market of image copyright contents in creative industry and to formulate management system of copyright services. This study made various suggestions for enhancement of transparency and efficiency of art contents ecosystem through vitalization of use and recycling of image copyright materials by proposing standard system for calculation, distribution, settlement and monitoring of copyright royalty of 1,000 domestic museums, galleries and exhibit halls. First, this study proposed contents and structure design of image copyright archive model and, by proposing art contents distribution service platform for prototype simulation, execution simulation and model operation simulation, established art contents copyright royalty process model. As billing system and technological development for image contents are still in incipient stage, this study used the existing contents billing framework as basic model for the development of billing technology for distribution of museum collections and artworks and automatic division and calculation engine for copyright royalty. Ultimately, study suggested image copyright archive model which can be used by artists, curators and distributors. In business strategy, study suggested niche market penetration of museum image copyright archive model. In sales expansion strategy, study established a business model in which effective process of image transaction can be conducted in the form of B2B, B2G, B2C and C2B through flexible connection of museum archive system and controllable management of image copyright materials can be possible. This study is expected to minimize disputes between copyright holder of artwork images and their owners and enhance manageability of copyrighted artworks through prevention of such disputes and provision of information on distribution and utilization of art contents (of collections and new creations) owned by the museums. In addition, by providing a guideline for archives of collections of museums and new creations, this study is expected to increase registration of image copyright and to make various convergent businesses possible such as billing, division and settlement of copyright royalty for image copyright distribution service.

  • Unlike in the past, the environment related to CSR activities of financial services companies changed, such as lower interest rates, easier access to knowledge and the environment for risk management of financial services companies changed, including global economic instability, increased regulations, and exposure of new technologies associated with operating methods. This study examined the effects of CSR activities and risk management on sustainability and mediating effects of corporate image among financial service companies. The result of the study are as follows. First, the CSR's legal responsibilities, management in disaster risk and strategic risks of financial service enterprise have positive effect on sustainability, however, the management of CSR's ethical responsibilities, discretionary responsibilities, operational and financial risks have shown to have negative effect Second, CSR's legal responsibilities, discretionary responsibilities and the management of disaster risks act as mediating role between corporate image and sustainability. As a result, when financial service enterprises concentrate on managing CSR's Legal responsibilities and disaster risks, it was found that the corporate image improves and enhancement of sustainability.

  • In this paper, we design and implement the UCC services prototype system for image and video. The proposed system consists of the two components such as the multimedia processing subsystem and the metadata management subsystem. It provides the API to UCC service developers. The multimedia processing subsystem supports the media management and editing of image and video, and the streaming services of video. The metadata management subsystem supports the metadata management and retrieval of image and video. The reply management and script processing of UCC are given in the subsystem.
