Performance Improvement of Packet Loss Concealment Algorithm in G.711 Using Adaptive Signal Scale Estimation (적응적 신호 크기 예측을 이용한 G.711 패킷 손실 은닉 알고리즘의 성능향상)

  • In this paper, we propose Packet Loss Concealment (PLC) method using adaptive signal scale estimation for performance improvement of G.711 PLC. The conventional method controls a gain using 20 % attenuation factor when continuous loss occurs. However, this method lead to deterioration because that don't consider the change of signal. So, we propose gain control by adaptive signal scale estimation through before and after frame information using Least Mean Square (LMS) predictor. Performance evaluation of proposed algorithm is presented through Perceptual Evaluation of Speech Quality (PESQ) evaulation.

  • 본 논문에서는 직류 오프셋 (DC-offset) 제거 기능을 가진 저 전력 자동 이득 조절 증폭기 (PGA, Programmable Gain Amplifier)를 제안한다. 이러한 회로는 직류 오프셋 문제점을 해결하기 위해 기존의 gm-boosting 증폭기를 변형한 디지털 이득 제어 방식으로 설계되어 있기 때문에 우수한 선형성을 가진다. 또한 특수 목적에 맞도록 그 이득을 6dB에서 60dB까지 7단계로 조절 가능하며, 밀러효과를 이용한 AC-coupling 방식으로 큰 값의 유동적인 커패시터와 저항을 구현하여 직류 오프셋을 제거한다. 제안한 PGA는 기존 회로에 비해 0.2dB 보다 작은 이득오차와 0.47mW의 낮은 소비전력 특성을 보였다.

  • PID controller is widely used as automatic equipment for industry. However when a system has various characters of intermittence or continuance, a new parameter decision for accurate control is a bud task. As a method of solving this problem, in this paper, a teaming gain regulator as PID controller functions is presented. A propriety teaming gain of system is decided by a rule of Delta learning. The function of proposed loaming gain regulator is verified by simulation results of DC motor.

  • Theoretical model of a variable thrust solid rocket motor with a pintle nozzle was derived. For the chamber pressure control, classical model linearization and proportional-intergral controller was used. And then two types of gain scheduling controller were suggested to imporve controller performance for the non-linear propulsion model. Considering characteristics of systems, control gains were scheduled by chamber pressure or free volume. Step responses of each controllers were compared. As a result, the proper control algorithm about characteristics of variable thrust rocket motor was suggested.

  • In this paper, we propose the control method of output impedance of each cascode unit cell of distributed amplifier by connecting varactors in the gate-terminal of common gate. Compared to common source unit cell, cascode unit cell has many advantages such as high gain and high output impedance as well as negative resistance loading. But if the transistor model which is used in design is inaccurate and process parameter is changed, oscillation sometimes can occur at band edge in which the gain start to drop. Therefore, we need control circuit which can prevent oscillation, although the circuit has already fabricated, and varactor connected to gate-terminal of common gate of cascode gain cell can play that part. Measured result of fabricated distributed amplifier shows the capability of contol of gain characteristic by adjusting of value of varactors, this can guarantee the stability of the circuit. The gain is $8.92\pm0.82dB$ over 49 GHz, the group delay is $\pm9.3 psec$ over 41 GHz. All transistor which has $0.15{\mu}m$ gate length is GaAs based p-HEMT, and distributed amplifier is put together with 4 stages.

As method of solving this problem, in this paper, a Neural Network gain automatic regulator as PID controller functions is presented. A property feedback control gain of system is decided by a rule of Delta learning. The function of proposed automatic Neural Network gain regulator is verified by speed control experiment results of Induction Motor.

  • A time-pickoff circuit used for time measurement suffers from a timing error due to the dependence of the generation time of a timing pulse on the size of the input signal, i.e., time walk. In this study, a time-pickoff method, which employs an automatic gain control (AGC) circuit, is proposed for reducing the timing error. The AGC circuit is added to the input of the comparator, and it renders the sizes of input signals of the comparator relatively uniform. The performance of the proposed time-pickoff method is analyzed using the SPICE simulation, and experiments are performed to confirm the analytical results. The measured time walk is reduced to 2.000 ns by 65% for input signals with a dynamic range of 20 dB as compared to a typical leading-edge discriminator.

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 하이브리드 MIMO 기법들이 정수 배의 멀티플렉싱 이득만 달성할 수 있는 단점을 해결하기 위해서 임의의 멀티플렉싱 이득을 달성할 수 있는 하이브리드 MIMO 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법은 다양한 멀티플렉싱 이득을 달성하기 위해서 전송 matrix 의 구성을 기존의 MIMO 기법들과 다르게 구성함으로써 멀티플렉싱 이득의 조절이 가능하다.

  • 현재 LLC 공진 컨버터는 넓은 주파수 범위에서 ZVS(zero voltage switching) 달성을 통하여 고효율 및 높은 전력 밀도를 얻을 수 있어 널리 사용되는 추세이다. 일반적인 LLC 공진 컨버터는 중부하에서 주파수 제어를 통해 이득을 조절할 수 있다. 하지만 경부하에서는 주파수 작동 범위에 제한으로 이득을 조절하지 못하는 문제점이 있다. 이에 본 논문은 Single-Stage LLC 공진 컨버터를 통해 경부하 조건에서 넓은 출력 범위를 가지는 것을 분석하였으며 시물레이션을 통해 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 저전압(2V) 동작이 가능하도록 완전차동 구조의 아날로그 능동소자에 전압조절을 위한 튜닝 회로를 추가한 능동소자를 제안하였다. 아날로그 능동소자는 이득특성에 영향을 주는 트랜스컨덕턴스값을 증가시키기 위해 CMOS 상보형 캐스코드 방식을 이용하여 구성되었다. 0.25㎛ CMOS n-well 공정 파라미터를 이용한 HSPICE 시뮬레이션 결과, 제안된 아날로그 능동소자는 비우성극점의 제거로 안정성이 향상되었으며, 2V 공급전압하에서 42dB의 이득값과 200MHz의 단위 이득주파수 특성을 나타내었다. 소비전력값은 0.32mW를 나타내었다.
