The Study of Communication and Knowledge Sharing Processes for Start-up Teams Agility under Task Conflict (과업 갈등상황에서 스타트업 팀의 민첩성 향상을 위한 의사소통과 지식공유 프로세스에 관한 연구)

  • Startup teams should be prompt to seize an business opportunity and handle various business problems with which they has not been faced before. This research examines and compares the hypotheses about the processes of communication media usage, knowledge sharing and team agility by the level of task conflict. In order for detailed investigation, each of antecedent was divided into sub-dimensions: communication media usage into synchronous and asynchronous media usage, and knowledge sharing into speed and quantity of knowledge sharing. Team agility, the dependent variable, was proposed as an important success factor of startup teams. The research model describes that the communication media usage affects knowledge sharing and consequently team agility. The differences of media usage and relationships among variables were proposed as the level of task conflict in teams. 230 data points were collected from startup teams under 5 years and statistically processed to test research model and hypotheses. From the total sample analysis, the results indicate that the knowledge sharing speed is positively associated with the quantity, and the knowledge sharing speed and quantity have positive associations with team agility. Both synchronous and asynchronous communication media usage also has significant positive associations with knowledge sharing speed. On the other hand, media usage did not show significant direct association with knowledge sharing quantity. From the group comparisons of task conflict, it was found that the higher task conflict, the higher in media usage, knowledge sharing speed and quantity, and team agility. The process of media usage, knowledge sharing, and team agility were found to be different between the high and low task conflict. From these results, the authors discussed and proposed some implications for startup team leaders.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore communication experiences with doctors experienced by nurses in clinical settings, to resolve communication difficulties, and to identify ways to communicate effectively. "What is communication with a physician experienced by a nurse? The focus of the discussion was performed with questions. The study was a qualitative study of 21 nurses with different clinical experiences using interview methods and analyzed data using the criteria of Downe-Wam bol dt. 12 Themes were reclassified to derive 4 Themes clusters. In conclusion, it is necessary to create an atmosphere of respect for doctors and nurses, and each department should be able to quickly identify and deal with communication problems. Based on the research, It is suggested that the training of communication skills be strengthened to be possible.

Startup Teamwork and Performance Research: the Impact of Task Conflict and Relationship Conflict (스타트업 팀워크와 성과: 과업 갈등과 관계 갈등의 영향을 중심으로)

  • Startup has lot of limitation such as time and budget shortage, and few human resources, and may be under the very stressful condition. Naturally in these context, there is always conflict among the startup team members, but the impact of conflict on teamwork or team performance has not been empirically tested. This study examines the relationship among the conflict, teamwork and team performance in startup context. Different two types of conflict and four factors of teamwork for team performance are identified from a literature review and tested; task conflict and relationship conflict as antecedents, teamwork was composed of communication, collaboration, coordination and cohesion, leading to team performance. 142 data points were collected from startup representatives to test these hypotheses. PLS data analysis indicated that the task conflict positively effects on all teamwork factors, but relationship conflict has statistically significant effect on only two teamwork factors, collaboration and coordination in negative relationship. Teamwork factors effects on team performance except communication. Based on the results, we proposed practically several team management skills for startup managers, leaders and even members, and explained theoretical contributions.

  • Recently many companies build interfirms cooperation based on their trust. These typology of partnerships play important roles for good results especially for joint product development. Therefore the purpose of this article is to investigate the role of interfirms communication in B2B market. We also investigate interfirms communication affecting the result of new product performance through two relationship factors(trust, conflict) in B2B market. Data were gathered from respondents who work in industrial buying center. Major findings of this study are summarized as follows: First, communication has positive effects on trust but negative effects on conflict. Second, trust is shown to have positive effects on cooperation and new product performance. However, conflict is shown to have negative effects on cooperation and new product performance. As a result, interfirms communication derives new product performance. In conclusion, this study means that we tried to investigate the human relationship in B2B market.

A case study of family therapy about conflict between mother and the eldest son (홀어머니와 큰아들의 갈등에 대한 가족치료 사례연구)

  • The study had four purposes as follows; First, the researcher tried to find the characteristics of conflict. Second, the researcher attempted to find the factors influencing the conflict between mother and the eldest son, Third, the study attempted to find the therapist's intervention techniques, which were caused the change of the conflict between mother and the eldest son. Lastly, the study was to find the changed contents of family relationships. The total family counseling was 13 sessions, which included individual and family counseling. The study used constant comparative analysis by using open coding method to find the factors. Also, the researcher used Miles and Huberman's matrix and graphical network display to show the relationships among factors influencing the conflicts between mother and the eldest son. The study found the boundary problem of family, family's undifferentiated ego, dysfunctional communication patterns, and mother's experience from family of origin as factors influencing the conflict between mother and the eldest son. On the other hand, the study found that the therapist used the formation of therapeutic alliance relationship, guide of communication skills, the reflection of repeated pattern, reframing and a metaphor as intervention methods. The result of study revealed that changed level of family relationship, activating functional communication, changed boundary among family members, differentiated ego of family members, and changed cognition as the changed contents of family relationship.

Peer Conflict Internal State Talk, and Communicative Strategies in Pretend Play (상상놀이에서의 갈등, 내적 상태의 표현 및 의사소통 전략에 대한 연구)

  • This study investigated the relationship between conflict issues and resolution strategies in pretend play. Also, the relations among frequency of internal state terms, conflict resolution, and communicative strategies were examined. 704 and 5 year old preschoolers, each paired with self-chosen peer, were observed and videotaped during 20-minute play session. Findings revealed that conflict issues were associated with resolution strategies. Internal state language and communicative strategies were related with conflict resolutions in pretend play, which shared with socio-emotional ability.

Difference of Conflict Levels of Nurses and Nurse-aids against Doctors (의사와의 관계에서 간호사와 간호조무사의 갈등수준 비교)

  • 본 연구는 간호사와 간호조무사의 동기를 제고하고 효과적인 간호서비스 제공을 촉진하기 위해 의사와의 관계에서 간호사와 간호조무사가 느끼는 직무 및 대인관계의 갈등 정도와 원인을 파악하고자 수행하였다. 이를 위해 중소규모 병원에 근무하고 있는 간호사와 간호조무사 271명을 대상으로 직무 및 인간관계 갈등 정도, 원활한 의사소통 여부, 갈등 원인과 해결방법 등에 대해 설문조사를 실시하고 분석하였다. 분석 결과 의사와의 관계에서 간호사와 간호조무사가 느끼는 갈등의 내용과 정도는 대체로 비슷하였으나 의사와 간호직의 역할이 중복되거나 모호한 부분이 있다고 느낀다는 점에서는 간호사가 간호조무사 보다 더 많은 스트레스를 받고 있었다. 의사와 갈등이 발생했을 때 해결하는 방법으로는 간호사와 간호조무사 모두 적당히 피한다는 의견이 가장 많았다. 그 다음의 갈등해결 방법은 간호사와 간호조무사 간에 차이가 있었는데 간호사는 상대방에게 나의 의견을 따르도록 함, 노조를 통해 해결등의 순이었고, 간호조무사는 상사에게 해결하도록 함, 서로 조금씩 양보해서 타협함 등의 순이었다.

Research on Influencing Factors on Conflicts between Client and Designer in CI Development and Conflict Resolution Strategies (CI개발에 있어 의뢰인과 디자이너간 갈등의 영향요인과 해소방안연구)

  • The objectives of this research are to examine the relationships among designers' characteristics, mutual communication, conflicts between CI designer and client, to test the impacts of conflicts and four type of resolution strategies on the performance of CI development, and to recommend proper strategies for successful CI process and output management. The survey results show as follows. First, CI designers' confidentiality on clients' internal information and creative designing ability were found to affect mutual communication between them. Second, proper communication was found to lessen the conflict level which in turn yielded the positive performance of CI development, especially for the clients' side. Third, it is suggested that the conflict level be first reduced and conflict resolution strategies be applied depending upon the conflict level and related party of designer or client position, respectively.

유통경로상의 갈등과 거래성과에 관한 연구

  • One of the most important things in channel of distribution is the management of intrachannel conflict. In this study, I tried to find out the major sources of conflict among distribution channel members of petroleum industry and home electronic industry which have two types of distribution channels - sales branch and agency, and also investigate how the level of conflict influence the business performance. The results of the study showed that the imbalance of power, nonfulfillment of roles by manufacturers, nonfulfillment of roles by dealer, divergence in perceptions, intrachannel communication noise have positive relation but role clarity has negative relation with conflict. The results indicate that the more power manufacturer exerts upon dealer, the less manufacturer and dealer practice their roles, and the more communications noise there is, there will be more conflict between channel members. I also analyzed the relationship between conflict and business performance and the result came out as expected, the more conflict there is the less business performance. Little difference was found in sales branch and agency on that aspect.
