Spirituality and State Hope of Medical Social Workers (의료사회복지사의 영성과 상태희망)

  • Purpose: This study was designed to assess the relationship between spirituality and state hope of medical social workers in Korea and their correlation was studied to provide data in developing effective spiritual and hope intervention for medial social workers. Methods: The study surveyed 102 medical social workers in Korea from September 1, 2011 to September 30, 2011. The study employed the Korean version of the State Hope Scale (SHS) and Spirituality Scales (SS). For data analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and simple regression were performed using the SPSS WIN ver. 17.0. Results: Spirituality scores showed a significant difference according to religion. The mean score of spirituality was 3.80/5.00 and the mean score of state hope was 6.36/8.00. Spirituality scoresand state hope scoresshowed a significant positive association (P<0.001). Conclusion: This study showed a significant positive association between medical social workers' spirituality and their state hope of. Future studies would be needed to further explorespirituality and state hope.

Impacts of Biomedical Ethics Consciousness and Nursing Professionalism on Attitudes toward Organ transplantation of Nursing Students (간호대학생의 생명의료윤리의식, 간호전문직관이 장기이식 태도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of Consciousness of biomedical ethics on Nursing professionalism on Attitudes of organ transplantation among nursing students. Data were collected among 202 nursing students in G,P city, from october 12 to 22, 2021. The collected data was analyzed a using t-test, One way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient and Stepwise multiple regression using SPSS 20.0 WIN program. The average score for Consciousness of biomedical ethics was 3.39±0.44, Nursing professionalism was 3.84±0.56 and Attitudes of organ transplantation was 3.67±0.25. Factors Influencing Attitudes of organ transplantation were Right to life of newborn, Euthanasia, Social recognition, Professionalism of nursing and Role of nursing service. These variables accounted for 52.4% of Attitudes of organ transplantation. Based on the outcome of this study, developing an education program related to organ transplantation to contribute to the activation of organ transplantation.

Development and Validation of Privacy Concern Measurement Tool in Personal Medical Information (개인의료정보 프라이버시 염려 측정도구 개발 및 타당도 검증)

  • In an information society, privacy protection is one of the most important ethical issues. In medical institutes in which personal medical information is collected and stored, in addition, a privacy breach can cause a serious damage on personal lives. This study attempted to develop privacy concern measurement tool in personal medical information to measure patients' concern on their medical information from medical service consumers' perspective and verify its validity. For this, privacy concern measurement tool in personal medical information was developed based on the results of previous studies. After performing Exploratory Factor Analysis(EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis(CFA) on the measurement tool, its reliability and validity were verified. It appears that the measurement tool would be useful in developing decent privacy protection policy after investigating citizens' concern on the protection of personal medical information and domains they are interested in. For medical institutes as well, they would be helpful in coming up with a reasonable plan after figuring out problems in the protection of personal medical information and current status.

  • 의료 영상에서 관심 있는 부위를 3차원으로 재구성 하여 보는 것은, 정확한 진단을 위해서 매우 중요하다. 이러한 3차원 재구성을 위해서는 관심 있는 영역의 분할이 필수적인 선행작업이다. 본 논문에서는 3차원적 정보를 이용한 영상 분할 방법으로 슬라이스 기반의 3차원 영역 확장법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 2차원 슬라이스 영상에서 영역 성장법에 의해 영역을 확장시키고, 그 이웃한 슬라이스들에 씨앗을 전달하여 재귀적으로 3차원 영역을 확장하여 영상을 분할한다. 이때, 이웃한 슬라이스 간의 영역의 크기를 이용하여 새나감을 방지한다. 제안된 방법을 튜브 형태의 기관의 분할에 적용한 결과, 새나감 없이 뽀족한 가지들까지도 성공적으로 분할 했으며, 튜브의 중심 축이 고차원 곡선인 경우에도 성공적으로 분할했다.

  • 의료 영상 처리 기술은 질병의 진단 및 치료를 위한 계획이나 방법을 결정하는데 있어 매우 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 뇌 MR 영상에서의 질병 진단을 위한 전처리 단계로서 필수적으로 이루어져야 하는 단계가 영상 분할 단계이다. 본 논문에서는 뇌의 질병 진단에 사용할 수 있는 자료를 제공하기 위한 뇌 영상 분할 방법을 제시한다. T2 강조 영상의 반전된 영상에서 원본 영상을 뺀 차이 영상의 결과로 회백질·뇌척수액·비정상 영역이 두드러지게 나타나는 점을 이용해 회백질 뇌척수액·비정상 영역과 백질 영역을 분리하는 방법을 제안한다. 또한 뇌척수액 영역의 위치 정보와 몇 가지 특징들을 정의하여 분할되어진 회백질·뇌척수액· 비정상 영역에서 뇌척수액 영역만을 분할하는 방법을 제시한다. 600 여 개의 T2 강조 영상에 대해서 실험을 행하러 비교적 정확한 분할 결과를 유도할 수 있었음을 확인하였다.

  • Following the appearance of the latest medical equipment with improved function, the importance of image analysis which enables effective image processing and analysis consistent with the hardware performance is on the rise. As well as, ongoing study is being done on the 2D medical image processing and 3D reconstruction. This paper segments chest CT images into each stage and finally shows 3D reconstruction of each segmented result. Among various image segmentation methods, Region Growing and apply sharpening and Gamma Controller as for image improvement for effective segmentation, image segmentation in order of bronchus and lung, bronchus, lung. Human organs image of segmented is use VTK(Visualization Toolkit) to make 3D reconstruction, two and three-dimensional medical image processing and analysis for lesions diagnosis are able to utilized.

  • In this paper, we proposed management strategy of medical image data in order to solve the problem in traditional medical images migration method. As management strategy of medical image data we proposed EAT(Expanded Average Transaction time) data migration method and data storing method based on temporal interrelation. In EAT data migration strategy, we define the dividing criterion which distinguish entity versions to be stored in each storage and also define entity versions to be stored in each storage. We defined degree of overlap and degree of difference for any two entity versions, and integrated those values and described method which place entity versions to storage. In order to compare the number of cluster references when we change rate of temporal queries, the number of cluster references of proposed method is smaller than that of traditional method.

  • The proposed paper proposes an algorithm that automatically extracts the region of interest using image processing techniques for medical images. In general, the robust boundary segmentation technique provides robust and accurate segmentation results in object boundaries with various noise and direction generated during image acquisition through optimal segmentation of the edges considering noise characteristics and directionality in noise images. In this paper, it is possible to apply adaptive filter type and size to the structural information of the image object and apply it to the boundary division of various object objects. In addition, it is possible to divide the boundary between various noise images such as an ultrasound image and an optical image.

  • This study proposes how to insert a strong watermark creating a big change in the areas of edge and texture. While conversion by existing Fourier transformation can acquire information for all ranges of frequency domain from the image, Wavelet transformation can manipulate edge and texture area selectively. Therefore, through wavelet transformation concerned area may be selected and watermarks in copyright formation are inserted. Our proposed algorithm was compared to Xia's watermarking technique using wavelet transformation. Its fidelity and robustness were tested with attack methods used in existing papers and it turns out that the proposed algorithm using HVS properties is more superior to Xia's techniques.

  • Purpose: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is an important field of inpatient treatment, in which critically ill patients have been treated intensively with advanced medical technology. The level of treatment in the intensive care unit and the modernization of related facilities are important indicators of the quality of medical care. At present, when regional public hospitals are expanding frequently, reasonable planning of ICU has become an important part of medical institutions that treat ICU. The purpose of this study is to provide basic data on the net area of each unit, which can be used in ICU building planning. Methods: The investigation and analysis of the ICU were conducted in 12 medical institutions, based on theoretical analysis based on relevant guidelines and literature, and analysis of actual space composition and net area through architectural drawings. Results: This research provides basic data, such as the location relationship with other important departments, regional division, spatial composition, the relationship between main activities and regions, the composition of facilities in the region, and the area and proportions of each region. Implications: It is expected that the results of this article will provide effective reference materials for the reasonable spatial organization and effective operation of the intensive care units of ordinary public hospitals of different sizes in the future.
