An Infrared Communication Module for the Enhancement of Hearing Aids (보청기 성능 향상을 위한 적외선 통신 모듈)

  • This paper presents a study on adapting optical communication technology using infrared ray for the enhancement of hearing aids in noisy environment. The transmitter module containing microphone and infrared ray-emitting diode converts audio signal to infrared optical signal and sends it out in the air. The receiver module located in a distance receives the infrared signal, converts it to electrical signal, and transfers it to an input of a digital hearing aid. Especially, the receiver module needs to be small, low voltage, and consume low power since it will be attached to hearing aids. Experiments with applying infrared communication technology of digital modulation method and analog non-modulation method show that the analog non-modulation method is adequate for infrared communication of approximately 5m distance indoor. Prototypes of transmitter module and receiver module were manufactured, and internal parameters of the digital hearing aid were adjusted to confirm normal transmit-receive operation of audio signals.

  • Korean WiBro becomes international standard to IEEE 802.16e, and We are carrying out a WiBro network business from capital regions. We executed eavesdropping about voices and messenger program and the VoIP which frequently happened in WiBro networks at these papers. We have a lot in common with the Wireshark which is a packet collection and an analyzer, and We execute eavesdropping, and We reproduce eavesdropping data with bases to a SIP, H.263, TCP, UDP protocol through packets. In time of a copy of a packet negative the VoIP which verify time with bases, and was eavesdropped on integrity packet and a X-Lite call record, be matched that a packet is counterfeit forgery did not work, and We demonstrate, and verify integrity. The data which integrity was verified put in a seaming envelope, and we prepare so as it is to a liver of investigator, and execute, and to be able to do use to proof data after seaming in courts in order to utilize as criminal investigation data.

  • 정보화 시대 스마트폰이 대중화되고 실시간 인터넷 사용이 가능해짐에 따라, 본인을 식별하기 위한 사용자 인증이 필수적으로 요구된다. 대표적인 사용자 인증 기술로는 아이디와 비밀번호를 이용한 비밀번호 인증이 있지만, 키보드로부터 입력받는 이러한 인증 정보는 시각 장애인이나 손 사용이 불편한 사람, 고령층과 같은 사람들이 많은 서비스로부터 요구되는 아이디와 비밀번호를 기억하고 입력하기에는 불편함이 따를 뿐만 아니라, 키로거와 같은 공격에 노출되는 문제점이 존재한다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여, 자신의 신체의 특징을 활용하는 생체 인증이 대두되고 있으며, 그중 목소리로 사용자를 인증한다면, 효과적으로 비밀번호 인증의 한계점을 극복할 수 있다. 이러한 화자 인식 기술은 KT의 기가 지니와 같은 음성 인식 기술에서 활용되고 있지만, 목소리는 위조 및 변조가 비교적 쉽기에 지문이나 홍채 등을 활용하는 인증 방식보다 정확도가 낮고 음성 인식 오류 또한 높다는 한계점이 존재한다. 상기 목소리를 활용한 사용자 인증 기술인 화자 인식 기술을 활용하기 위하여, 사용자 목소리를 학습시켰으며, 목소리의 주파수를 추출하는 MFCC 알고리즘을 이용해 테스트 목소리와 정확도를 측정하였다. 그리고 악의적인 공격자가 사용자 목소리를 흉내 내는 경우나 사용자 목소리를 마이크로 녹음하는 등의 방법으로 획득하였을 경우에는 높은 확률로 인증의 우회가 가능한 것을 검증하였다. 이에 따라, 더욱 효과적으로 화자 인식의 정확도를 향상시키기 위하여, 본 논문에서는 목소리에 잡음을 섞는 방법으로 화자를 인식하는 방안을 제안한다. 제안하는 방안은 잡음이 정확도에 매우 민감하게 반영되기 때문에, 기존의 인증 우회 방법을 무력화하고, 더욱 효과적으로 목소리를 활용한 화자 인식 기술을 제공할 것으로 사료된다.

Automatic Indexing Algorithm of Golf Video Using Audio Information (오디오 정보를 이용한 골프 동영상 자동 색인 알고리즘)

  • This paper proposes an automatic indexing algorithm of golf video using audio information. In the proposed algorithm, the input audio stream is demultiplexed into the stream of video and audio. By means of Adaboost-cascade classifier, the continuous audio stream is classified into announcer's speech segment recorded in studio, music segment accompanied with players' names on TV screen, reaction segment of audience according to the play, reporter's speech segment with field background, filed noise segment like wind or waves. And golf swing sound including drive shot, iron shot, and putting shot is detected by the method of impulse onset detection and modulation spectrum verification. The detected swing and applause are used effectively to index action or highlight unit. Compared with video based semantic analysis, main advantage of the proposed system is its small computation requirement so that it facilitates to apply the technology to embedded consumer electronic devices for fast browsing.

  • In this paper, the 25W power amplifier for UHF band radio transceiver has been designed and realized. The power amplifier was composed of drive, power amplifier and control stages. Feedback topology and coaxial line baluns were used for wide band operation. The VDMOS, which has reliable performance for linearity and efficiency, was used for power device and designed to operate as push-pull amplification at Class AB Bias. The power amplifier designed in such a way was found to show stable AM modulation performance when voice signal was detected at the gate stage, with being designed and realized to meet output specifications of commercial air traffic control transmitter.

  • 최근 들어 디지털 이동통신 시스템은 음성 통신 뿐만 아니라 멀티미디어 통신에도 그 적용범위를 확장시키고 있다. 그러나 이러한 시스템에서 한정된 채널 대역폭의 사용은 멀티미디어 정보의 대용량성을 고려할 때, 그 적용범위를 심각하게 축소시키는 가장 큰 제한요소이다. 일반적인 통신 시스템의 소스 부호화기는 채널 잡음을 고려하지 않고 설계되며, 채널 부호화기는 소스 신호의 특성과 무관하게 채널 환경의 극복에만 중점을 두고 설계된다. 그러나 대역폭 제한적인 통신 환경에서 보다 효율적인 대역폭 사용을 위해서는 채널 환경에 따라 소스 부호율과 채널 부호율을 가변적으로 운용하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 영상을 부대역 부호화하여 각 부대역 영상이 원래의 영상 재구성에 기여하는 중요도에 따라 한정된 채널 자원을 최적으로 할당하는 공동 소스/채널 부호화(Joint Source-channel Coding)에 관하여 연구하였다. 부대역 영상의 소스 부호화로는 DPCM과 PCM을 사용하였고, 채널 부호화는 TCM 부호화기를 사용하였으며 상이오류보호(Unequal Error Protection)를 위해 3가지 채널 부호율에 따라 각각 TCQPSK, TC8PSK, TC16PSK 변조방식을 사용하였다. 모의실험에 사용된 채널 환경은 랜덤잡음 환경과 이동수신의 경우에 발생하는 Rayleigh 페이딩 환경을 고려하였으며, 각 환경에서의 채널 SNR에 따라 동일오류보호(Equal Error Protection) 시스템과 상이오류보호(Unequal Error Protection) 시스템의 성능을 비교하였다.

  • The study aims to develop the underwater wireless telephone system. The system is designed based on the underwater acoustic communication channel parameters such as ambient noise, multipath effect and diver breathing noise. The system adopts SSB modem and its carrier frequency is about 33 kHz in which ambient noise level is low and therefore a high S/N ratio is easily obtained. The source level of the transmitter is designed as 131 dB re 1μPa. Its intelligibility index of sentence shows as 80% or mure in the range of less than 300m in the sea trial.

  • In this paper, we designed and fabricated the VHF wireless transmitter for air traffic control. Fundamental performance of the investigated wireless transmitter is designed and fabricated to satisfy existing commercial wireless transmitter specification for air traffic control. 25 W and 50 W of output power can be generated by changing the power amplification part only. It is based on transmitting voice communication using AM modulation. Investigated wireless transmitter for air traffic control consists of four module parts: power supply, control, low power transmission and power amplification. We designed 1W transmitter to operate without power amplification part. It can be used properly in a basic component of CNS/ATM.

Performance Enhancement of Underwater Acoustic Communication System Using Hydrophone Transmit Array (하이드로폰 송신 어레이를 이용한 수중 음향 통신 시스템의 성능 향상)

  • In this paper we applied a transmit beamforming technique to the underwater acoustic communication system for high rate data transmission. A prototype transmit system was designed and implemented with the general purpose DSP processor and multiple digital-to-analog converters. The performances of the implemented system were evaluated by the experiment in water tank. In order to simplify the procedure the channel coding and equalizer were omitted. And the simplest OOK (On-Off Keying) technique in digital communication methods was applied. The experimental result shows that the transmission data rate is higher about 3 times in the case of 5 hydrophone transmitting may than 1 hydrophone transmitter at bit error rate 10/sup -2/. We verified that the maximum data rate was 400 bps for speech signal transmission in water tank.

  • In this thesis, Traffic information which is provided to the VMS used a FM frequency and provides real-time traffic information about the mobile production unit system which designed and produced and a quality evaluated. Result of the research, we will be able to confirm converted audio and text information from traffic information is linked with VMS information, FM broadcast traffic information to motorists passing through it were found to be and as a result of this study, which sees raises the effectiveness of VMS users and using VMS to build low-cos transport infrastructure will be an opportunity.
