사회진화현상으로서의 융합의 전개 및 방향성

  • 현재 진행되고 있는 과학기술의 융합현상은 여러 학문분과와 기술간 융합이 동시다발적으로 집적화되어 나타난다는 점에서 하나의 패러다임적 전환을 예고하고 있다. 특히 IT, BT, 나노 분야간 융합이 활발하게 일어나고 있으며, IT기술은 기술간 융합을 매개하는 인프라로서의 역할이 두드러지게 나타나고 있다. 도래하는 융합기술경제패러다임에서 국가경쟁력을 지속하기 위해서는 교육, 연구조직 및 관리, 금융, 정책 등의 차원에서 개방형의 융합친화적인 사회제도적 틀의 구축이 반드시 병행되어야 한다.

Improving Spatial Resolution in Real-time for Ultra-thin Light Field Cameras (초박형 라이트필드 카메라의 실시간 분해능 향상 알고리즘 개발)

  • 초박형 라이트필드 카메라 시스템은 이미지 센서 위에 렌즈 어레이를 부착하는 방식으로 만들어진다. 이러한 초박형 라이트필드 카메라는 하나의 이미지 센서를 여러 개의 sub-aperture가 나눠쓰는 방식으로 되어있어 개별 이미지의 분해능이 낮으며, sub-aperture 이미지들을 융합해 추가적인 분해능 향상이 수행되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 초박형 라이트필드 카메라 시스템을 개발했으며, 개발된 카메라 시스템을 위한 실시간 분해능 향상 알고리즘을 개발, 실험을 통해 검증했다. 개발된 초박형 라이트필드 카메라는 두께 2mm, 24개(6×4)의 551×551 해상도의 sub-aperture로 구성되어 있으며, 임베디드 컴퓨팅 보드를 사용해 휴대가 가능하도록 제작되었다. 실시간 분해능 향상 알고리즘은 임베디드 컴퓨팅 보드의 GPU에서 병렬처리를 통해 라플라시안 피라미드 기반의 이미지 융합 알고리즘을 수행한다. 실험을 통해 검증한 결과로, 개발 시스템은 MTF50값이 평균 35% 정도 개선되었으며, 10.65fps의 처리속도로 실시간 처리가 가능함을 확인했다.

A Study on the Linkage and Convergence of Academic Information Services in Science and Technology (과학기술 학술정보서비스의 연계 및 융합에 관한 연구)

  • To improve research productivity, it is important to acquire up-to-date information quickly. To this end, researchers seek information resources through various channels and methods and utilize them in their research and development processes. The Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) has developed a platform for integrated scientific and scientific information service called ScienceOn to provide specialized information, infrastructure resources, industry and technology analysis resources in one place to support the research and information ecosystem. Through this process, accessibility and usability are enhanced through the connection and convergence of various information and services. In this study, we look at recent R&D trends in scientific technology academic information integration services and recommended packaging services that can be utilized in batches according to the purpose of use. We look forward to improving national R&D productivity by strengthening the linkage and convergence of scientific and technological information.

Discussions on The Directions of Research and Development Tasks for Convergence Gifted Education (융합영재교육의 발전 과제와 연구 방향에 대한 논의)

  • Many studies on convergence education have been done in the field of gifted education to meet the social needs for people of convergence talent and to adjust our education system to the paradigm shift. However, the number of studies on convergence gifted education is not sufficient enough and most of them are mainly on science and art. So, this study reviews the previous studies on gifted education involving convergence, and discusses the pressing issues to address for the development of convergence gifted education in korea. Also, the direction of the further research is introduced. There is an agreement that the definition of the convergence gifted and convergence gifted education needs to be clarified, and further researches have to be conducted to establish a basis for defining integrated thinking ability. Furthermore, it is suggested that the contents for convergence gifted education should be developed accommodating individual differences, and a theory-based approach to creating convergence gifted education programs is proposed. On top of that, the needs for the studies on how to strengthen the educational capability of the teachers are discussed.

  • 최근 기후변화로 인해 홍수, 가뭄 등 수재해가 세계 곳곳에서 빈번하게 발생하고 있다. 이로 인해 정확한 강우-유출 해석의 중요도는 높아지고 있으며 강우-유출 해석에 따라 수자원 관리 및 계획수립의 정도가 달라질 수 있다. 본 연구 대상 지역인 메콩강 유역은 중국과 동남아시아 5개국(라오스, 태국, 미얀마, 베트남, 캄보디아)을 관통하는 국가공유하천으로 기초자료의 획득이 어렵고 국가별로 구축된 자료가 질적, 양적 품질이 상이하여 수문해석에서의 기초자료로 사용하기에 불확실성이 있다. 최근 기술의 발달로 글로벌 격자형 강수자료 획득이 용이함에 있어 미계측 대유역에서의 다양한 연구들이 수행되고 있지만, 지점강수자료와 시·공간적 오차로 인한 불확실성을 내포하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 글로벌 격자형 강수자료의 적용성을 평가하기 위하여 지점 격자형 강수자료(APHRODITE)와 4개의 위성강수자료(CHIRPS, CMORPH, PERSIANN-CDR, TRMM)를 수집하고 합성곱 신경망 모형인 ConvAE 기법을 이용하여 위성강수자료의 시·공간 편의 보정을 수행하였다. 또한, 하천 수위에 대한 장기간 정보 수집이 가능한 메콩강 본류 4개 관측소(Luang Prabang, Pakse, Stung Treng, Kratie)를 선정하였으며 SWAT 모형을 이용하여 매개변수 보정(2004~2013)과 격자형 강수자료의 보정 전·후의 유출모의(2014~2015) 결과를 비교·분석하였다. 격자형 강우를 이용한 보정 및 유출 분석 결과 4개의 위성강수자료 모두 성능이 향상되었으며 그 중 보정된 TRMM이 가장 우수한 성능을 보여 해당 유역에서의 APHRODITE를 대체할 수 있다고 판단하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서 제시하는 ConvAE를 이용한 보정기법과 이를 이용한 강우-유출 해석은 향후 다양한 격자형 강수자료를 활용한 미계측 대유역에서의 수문해석에서 활용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

  • 인류는 급격한 산업화가 몰고 온 부작용으로 물, 공기, 토양 오염을 통한 생태계 파괴라는 엄청난 환경재앙을 맞고 있다. 물에는 각종 화학물질이 흘러들고, 공기에는 유해한 기체가 과도하게 함유되며, 토양에는 중금속이 축적됨으로 인해 인간을 비롯한 모든 동식물에게 있어 생명의 원천이며 삶의 터전인 지구의 생태계 균형이 파괴되고 있다. 최근 이런 환경문제를 해결하기 위해 환경기술 (environmental technology, ET)과 다양한 기술을 융합해 상승효과를 얻고자 하는 융합기술 (fusion technology, FT)에 대한 시도와 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그중에서도 나노기술 (nanotechnology, NT)을 접목한 나노(NT)/환경 (ET) 융합형 기술이 실적용에 따른 획기적인 환경 개선효과와 가능성으로 인해 최근 가장 큰 주목을 받고 있다.(중략)

An Analysis on the Characteristics of Problem-Finding and the Aspects of Using Science and Technology of Undergraduate Students' Convergence Problem Solving Activity (대학생들의 융합형 문제 해결 활동에서 문제발견 및 과학기술 분야 활용 양상 분석)

  • In accordance with the changing of society, remarkable increase in knowledge and information, the competencies to choose and use proper information in various domains are considered as an important skill. As one of the methods in developing these competencies, it is emphasized that a problem-based learning can make student understand and use knowledge by solving the contextualized problem. However, it is skeptical of learner's development of competencies to use knowledge by solving well-defined given problem. Therefore it is required that students be allowed to develop the competency to find problem through experiences to determine and evaluate the purpose of the problem and method. The purpose of this study is to understand how undergraduate students use science or technology in finding a problem. In this line, this study articulated four cases conducted by participants who engaged in convergence teaching-learning program. And this study investigated the participants' process of problem-finding, method and reason to apply science or technology. The results were drawn by analyzing interviews and written data, including their proposal, a poster, and final reports. Participants changed the form of problem from initial ill-structured one into a concrete one, where the participant could derive a detailed solution. Science or technology applied as the detailed example to convert problem into a concrete form, or as the analyzing tool or theoretical background of problem to make a link with other domain. Their reason of applying science or technology could be summarized in 'personal interest based on prior experience' and 'alternatives to resolve a dissatisfaction.' Based on the result, this study suggests holistic approach that is included in both intuitive thinking and logical thinking and metacognitive regulation to stimulate problem-finding in problem-based learning program.

Elementary Teachers' Epistemological Beliefs and Practice on Convergent Science Teaching: Survey and Self-Study (융합적 과학수업에 대한 초등교사의 인식론적 신념과 실행 -조사연구 및 자기연구-)

  • This study is a complex type consisting of survey study and self-study. The former investigated elementary teachers' epistemological beliefs on convergence knowledge and teaching. As a representative of the result of survey study I, as a teacher as well as a researcher, was the participant of the self-study, which investigated my epistemological belief on convergence knowledge and teaching and my execution of convergent science teaching based on family resemblance of mathematics, science, and physical education. A set of open-ended written questionnaires was administered to 28 elementary teachers. Participating teachers considered convergent teaching as discipline-using or multi-disciplinary teaching. They also have epistemological beliefs in which they conceived convergence knowledge as aggregation of diverse disciplinary knowledge and students could get it through their own problem solving processes. As a teacher and researcher I have similar epistemological belief as the other teachers. During the self-study, I tried to apply convergence knowledge system based on the family resemblance analysis among math, science, and PE to my teaching. Inter-disciplinary approach to convergence teaching was not easy for me to conduct. Mathematical units, ratio and rate were linked to science concept of velocity so that it was effective to converge two disciplines. Moreover PE offered specific context where the concepts of math and science were connected convergently so that PE facilitated inter-disciplinary convergent teaching. The gaps between my epistemological belief and inter-disciplinary convergence knowledge based on family resemblance and the cases of how to bridge the gap by my experience were discussed.

An Efficient Search Strategy of Anti-Submarine Helicopter based on Multi-Static Operation in Furthest-On-Circles (확장형 탐색구역에서 Multi-Static 운용 기반 대잠헬기의 탐색에 관한 연구)

  • The anti-submarine helicopter is the most effective weapon system in anti-submarine warfare. Recently changes in the introduction of the anti-submarine warfare sonar system are expected to operate multi-static sonar equipment of the anti-submarine helicopter. Therefore, it is required to study the operational concept of multi-static of anti-submarine helicopter. This paper studies on the optimal search of multi-static based on anti-submarine helicopter considering Furthest On Circles(FOC). First, the deployment of the sensors of the anti-submarine helicopter is optimized using genetic algorithms. Then, the optimized model is extended to consider FOC. Finally, the proposed model is verified by comparing pattern-deployment the search method in Korean Navy.

A Comparison of 「Integrated Science」 and 「Converged Science」 of the 2015 Revised National Curriculum through Core Concepts (핵심 개념으로 비교한 2015 개정 교육과정의 「통합과학」과 「융합과학」)

  • This research compares the subjects of "Integrated Science" and "Converged Science" in the 2015 Revised National Curriculum, through core concepts. The content priorities and levels of integration of each core concept were evaluated through an analytical framework, and visualized using two-dimensional visualization matrix of the content priorities and the levels of integration. The results show that "Integrated Science" had fewer core concepts, higher in priorities and slightly lower levels of integration than "Converged Science". This can be an evidence that "Integrated Science" is excellent in rigor and not so much inferior in relevance. And also, through visualization of analysis results, the characteristics of integrated subjects could easily be understood and compared.
