  • A number of wooden built heritage remain in Korea, and most have been damaged by various biological factors including termite. Owing to the irreversible damage caused by termites, wooden built heritage are losing their authenticity and structural stability. In this study, Area-Wide Integrated Termite Management(AW-ITM) was proposed to prevent termite damage. First, to understand the locational characteristics of these sites, the distance from adjacent forests and surrounding forest areas was analyzed for 182 national designated wooden built heritage(national treasures, treasures) using the Geographic Information System(GIS). By analyzing existing pest control projects(2003-2020) and the components of the ITM, the characteristics of termite control for cultural heritages were determined. Based on these results, the cultural heritage sites and their surrounding spaces were divided into three areas, and the types of cultural properties were divided into six types according to the location and number of buildings. Along with this, termite control measures were proposed for each area and type. The concept of AW-ITM has been partially applied to the "Comprehensive Control of Termites in wooden built heritages Sites" by the Cultural Heritage Administration. Caution must be taken with regard to the establishment of a cultural heritage management policy; AW-ITM should be applied on a trial basis with the results then being carefully analyzed and reflected in the establishment of policies pertaining to the conservation management of cultural heritage.

A cross-sectional study was conducted on 124 nurses at four public hospitals in the Gyeonggi Province (Icheon, Anseong, Suwon, Paju). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficient. Mann-Whitney U test and the Kruskal-Wallis test were used with the Bonferroni test for post hoc comparison when the data were not normally distributed. The turnover intention of the subjects was public service motivation (r=-.30, p<.001), affiliative culture (r=-.28, p=.002), innovative culture (r=-.34, p< .001) and task culture (r=-.30, p=.001) were negatively correlated. Study findings suggest that public service motivation must be increased to reduce the turnover intention of nurses in public hospitals.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the names and types of walls constructed in the late Joseon Dynasty in YeonggeonUigwe, a record of construction works of the Joseon Dynasty, and to examine the current status and name of walls constructed in the main hall and the Yeongnyeongjeon Hall of Jongmyo Shrine. The results of the study are as follows. First, the name of the wall can be divided into four types depending on the characteristics, including direction, location, shape, function, material, and complexity, and was used as a compound word in front of the wall. Second, some of the wall types related to the material were found to have differences in the timing of theypes of walls. Since the 18th century, the use of earthen walls has been reduced, and the use of wooden walls and paper walls are often used. Third, the walls of the Jongmyo Shrine were composed of a mud wall and a fireproof wall. A fireproof wall was installed in the main hall, including a pillar, while the Yeongnyeongjeon Hall was installed only between the pillar and the pillar. Fourth, the Gap Wall can be defined as the "wall constructed at the upper part of the chamber used in the construction of the building in Jongmyo." This study is meaningful in that it attempted to clarify the definition of a wall in the late Joseon Dynasty by examining the names and examples of walls used in the late Joseon Dynasty, focusing on walls that lacked research in familiarity.

Second, compared to the "class 1" group, the lower the family economy level of multicultural youth mothers, the lower the educational background of multicultural youth fathers (husbands) graduate from middle school, the lower the level of Korean, and the lower the level of communication with children, the higher the odds of belonging to the 'mental health medium risk' group (Ods). Third, compared to the 'middle risk type of mental health'(class3) and 'high risk type of mental health'(class4), the 'high risk type of self-esteem'(class1) group was found to have a significant positive (+) effect on parental efficacy.

  • The purpose of this study examines to what extent the multicultural youth's dual culture acceptance attitude is significantly affected by cultural adaptation stress and national identity using the data of the MAPS(Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study) conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute. The subject of the study was the first data of the second period of the MAPS, and 2,246 multicultural youth who were enrolled in the fourth grade of elementary school as of 2019 were used as analysis data. As a result of the study, it was found that the attitude to accept dual culture was significantly affected in the order of national identity and cultural adaptation stress. This means that the higher the national identity and the lower the cultural adaptation stress, the higher the attitude toward dual culture. On the other hand, as for the type of multicultural youth, it was found that international marriage families had the lowest attitude toward accepting dual culture. In terms of the size of the area where students live, large cities have the lowest dual cultural acceptance attitude. These results suggest that cultural adaptation stress, national identity, type of multicultural family, and area of residence act as major variables in multicultural youth's dual culture acceptance attitude.
