  • This study was performed to investigate airborne formaldehyde concentration in preschool facilities. Arithmetic mean of indoor formaldehyde concentration in urban area was 34.9 ppb(Geometric mean 24.4 ppb) whereas outdoor concentration was 21.5 ppb(GM 11.9 ppb). In rural area, formaldehyde concentrations were 36.4 ppb(GM 28.7 ppb), 4.1 ppb(GM 4.1 ppb), respectively. There is no statistical significance between the formaldehyde concentrations of urban classrooms and those of rural area. We verified that the distribution of airborne formaldehyde concentration was log-normal characteristic using Shapiro and Wilk test. The 6.7% of urban indoor samples was exceeded the domestic standard limit of indoor air quality. From our study and other study, we concluded that the major emission sources of formaldehyde in preschool facilities was in indoor rather than outdoor.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of integrated teaching and learning method using augmented reality for effective promotion of child - friendly attitude and environmental preservation attitude and explored its applicability. For this purpose, based on the augmented reality fairy tale, we designed an experience - oriented integrated teaching and learning method such as reading book, story - telling, drawing, environmental conservation practice activity. The experimental group was divided into two groups: augmented reality reading fairy tales (A) and children's book reading fairy tales (B). First, interest, immersion, and empathy were higher in the application environment of integrated learning teaching method based on Augmented Reality. Second, there was no difference between the two groups in content understanding. Third, in terms of expressiveness, it was verified that various expressions were expressed in the applying environment of the integrated teaching - learning method based on augmented reality through drawing activities. Fourth, in practice activities, more students were practicing in the augmented reality - based integrated teaching - learning method applied environment, and the number of practice activities of individual students was also confirmed. This study suggests that the application of the integrated teaching and learning method can enhance the effect of education when using the smart teaching media using the augmented reality in early childhood education.

The survey was conducted from October 1, 2019 to December 30, 2019, and a sample was collected from stratified sampling methods for the general public participating in culture and arts education. In order to verify the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable, multiple regression analysis was performed, and the role of the parameter in the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable was examined using the three-step intermediary regression analysis. The research results are as follows. First, as a result of analyzing the relationship between the sub-factors of service quality and emotional value, it was found that facilities and environmental services had the greatest impact. Second, the results of analyzing the relationship between the sub-factors of service quality and functional value showed that the most significant impact was on facilities and environmental services. Third, as a result of analyzing the relationship between the sub-factors of service quality and social values, it was found that facilities and environmental services had the greatest impact. Fourth, In the relationship between contents and instructor service and service value, the intention to reuse was found to have a full mediating effect. In addition, in the relationship between facility and environmental services and service value, the intention to reuse was found to have a partial mediating effect. Based on the quality of service of culture and arts education, this study suggested a way for dance education to work with the region.

  • According to Edwin Gordon(1987, 1997, 2003), music aptitude is a product of interaction of innate potential and early environmental experiences. He referred to music aptitude of children up to nine years of age as developmental music aptitude which fluctuates due to musical environment. Music aptitude stabilizes at age nine, and the music aptitude after age nine is called "stabilized music aptitude". This research is to examine Gorden's hypothesis that the younger a child receives music education, the higher music aptitude. Also, this research is to experiment the effect of Audiation activities developed in Audie Music Curriculum on music aptitude. The researcher and another Audie teacher as a co-teacher guided children together for 30 minutes once a week. The pedagogy guidelines for informal guidance in music learning theory were kept throughout the classes. Also, Audie's teaching method which had been developed for Korean Kindergarten educational environment was also applied. Five-year-old subjects in Experimental group 1 experienced the Audie Music Curriculum of one year; five-year-old subjects in Experimental group 2 experienced it for two years. Primary Measures of Music Audiation was administered three times during their last year of Kindergarten. Subjects in the Control groups, one examined at the beginning and the other at the end of their last year in Kindergarten, received no Audie instruction. There was no significant difference in tonal aptitude, but there was significant difference in rhythmic aptitude(p< .05) among the experiemental groups. Because both Experimental groups showed statistical significance (p< .001) in the music aptitude increase during their academic years, the significant differences of the year-end music aptitude between control group and experimental groups were the expected result.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify factors of 25~36 months old infant's happiness and to develop a scale to measure infant happiness. The subjects were 250 infants aged 25~36 months. The results of this study are as follows: First, the components and items of infant's happiness scale selected through the literature, the previous measurement tool, and the focus group interview were 8 components and 29 items. The items were composed of 4 items of problem behavior, 4 items of achievement through immersion, 4 items of relationship with friends, 4 items of relationship with teacher, 3 items of physical environment, 4 items of positive emotion, 3 items of negative emotion, and 3 items of health. Second, as a result of validation of validity for infant's happiness scale, the item fit was confirmed with CFI=0.89, TLI=0.88, and RMR=0.05. Also, the construct validity was confirmed with convergent validity and discriminant validity. The concurrent validity was significantly correlated with the components of the previously developed measurement tools, and the reliability was appeared with 0.71-0.89. The infant's happiness scale developed in this study ensured reliability and validity as a measurement to measure infant happiness. Therefore, this scale is expected to be used as a major test tool to develope and verify a program for promoting infant happiness.

  • This study analyzed the research trends related to parenting stress of parents with infancy. To this end, 82 papers in journals registered in the KCI from 1998 to 2019 were reviewed. The frequency and percentage were calculated and analyzed for each research period, research topic, research type, and research subject. The research results were as follows. First, from 1998 to 2019, there was a continuous increase in each period. Second, regarding the research subject, the themes related to parents were the most researched, followed by the child, parenting environment, and parent-child. Among the topics related to parents, research on the variables related to parenting beliefs and behaviors was the highest. Third, quantitative research was absolute, and no qualitative research was conducted. Among the quantitative studies, the most common test method was through a questionnaire. Fourth, regarding each research subject, the research of mothers was dominant, followed by mother-infant, parent, and parent-infant-teacher. This study is significant because it provides an opportunity to broaden the scope of research and academic interest in the parenting stress of infancy parents.
