The purpose of this study was to analyze pre-service teachers' perceptions and change on the images about young children. The subjects of this study were 31 students in the early childhood department at a university. It was a longitudinal study conducted for four years. The data regarding the images that students had about young children were collected by having them answer a question. The question was "Young children are... Because of..." Subjects were asked to answer that question when they were freshmen and then, to answer the same question when they were seniors in order to see the change. A content analysis and frequency were conducted. The study of the results could be summarized as follows. Firstly, from their first year to senior year, the images that pre-service teachers perceived such as, vibrant active beings and beings with various characteristics" did not change. However, the images such as "being who was capable of interacting with environments" had changed. And the new image which viewed a child as a being who should be respected emerged. Secondly, the factors that influenced the image changes were based on the experience of working as assistant teachers at an early childhood setting, and practicum. Therefore, a systematic work on assistant teachers should be done and a concept about child-center education should be built.

The purpose of the present study was to examine the images of children possessed by applicants for the department of early childhood education and find out how the images of children have been changed when the applicants have entered the department from successful applicants. Study subjects were 328 applicants for the department of early childhood education and 25 students who passed the entrance examination and completed the first year. Data were collected by painting metaphors and the contents of the collected data were analyzed. According to the results of analysis, the images of children possessed by applicants for the department of early childhood education were 'beings that require sincerity, love, and attention', 'beings that must be taught and led', 'beings that are liberal and characterful', 'beings that are bright and pure and give happiness', 'beings that have potential for learning and growth' and 'beings that are soft and weak' and when one year had passed after the entrance into the department, the images of children possessed by the students were changed into the subjects of teaching by the students as teachers and images based on developmental knowledge of childhood.

Today the importance of color image is increasing for the brands as well as the products. This study was performed to classily the color image of baby's wear brands and to suggest how the color is effectively planned for the image. In order to classify the color image of 7 baby's wear brands, color palettes of 7 brands were also made by 6 subgroups, each season(summer, fall) by gender(boy, girl, new-born) and based on manufactured garments which were collected by on-line shops. Questionaries were organized with 40 pieces of the color palettes prints for 6 subgroups by 7 brands and 20 baby's wear image adjectives. The total 320 copies were used in the survey to students majored in fashion design. Questionaries were analyzed by factor analysis from SPSS 12.0 package program. There are 4 main factors for the color images of baby's wear brands, 'liveliness', 'loveliness', 'chic', 'neatness'. Not hue, but tone is more important to express the characteristics of color images of baby's wear brands. Also white and black are importantly used for baby's wear. The consistency of the brand color image across gender and season is very important to identify and strengthen the color image of brand.

This study was designed to analyze the perceptions of 4 and 5 years old children on the elderly, and how different the perceptions were according to the experience of living with grandparents. The subjects of the study were 54 children, 4 and 5 years old K kindergarten in H city. In the procedure of study, the children were asked to draw pictures of the elderly images, and individual interviews. The findings as follows. firstly, that the most positive perception of the children on the elderly was family-relationship and the most negative perception was physical feature. Secondly, Images for the elderly did not differ according to the experience of living with a grandparent. Based on these results, this study provides the basis for the research on understanding culture and communication between generations and gives useful information on developing of a generation program.

The purpose of this study was to examine the types of image that early childhood teachers have about nursery teachers in detail in an effort to provide some information on how to build an ideal image of a nursery teacher. Another goal was to determine the right directions for teacher education based on the subjective opinions of early childhood teachers, which has not been covered in earlier studies. The Q-methodology was utilized to determine the awareness of early childhood teachers about the types of the images of nursery teachers and each type's characteristics. A Q-population was constituted by 310 types of images based on the results of earlier studies about the images of nursery teachers, and 48 Q-samples were selected according to frequency. And then 20 nursery teachers and 20 kindergarten teachers were asked to classify the images of nursery teachers in nine stages by using the Q-sort, and the data were analyzed by the statistical package PASW 18.0. As a result, four different types of images appeared that the early childhood teachers had about nursery teachers, and the images were respectively named 'a practical-teaching-oriented type of teacher', 'a negative-system critical type of teacher', 'a positive-humanistic type of teacher' and 'a neutral-emotionally type of teacher'.

This study aims to find out the effect of attributes for selecting physical education institutions for preschooler by the director of early childhood education institutions on relationship quality and loyalty. The subjects were 254 directors of early childhood education institutions, which offer visiting physical education of physical education institutions for preschooler located in Busan and Gyeongnam Province, using convenience sampling method. 244 questionnaires of them were used for analysis. First, among attributes for selecting physical education institutions for preschooler recognized by the directors of early childhood education institutions, instructors qualification and the image of the institution had a positive influence on relationship satisfaction and all the four variables of early childhood education institutions directors' attributes had a positive effect on relationship trust. Second, among the four variables of attributes for selecting physical education institutions for preschooler recognized by the directors of early childhood education institutions, instructors qualification, tuition fee, and the image of the institution had a positive influence on loyalty. Third, both the two variables of relationship quality of the director of early childhood education institutions toward preschool physical education institutions had a positive influence on loyalty.

Creative thinking appears even before it is expressed in language, and its existence is revealed through emotion, intuition, image and body feeling before logic or linguistics rules work. In this study, Lego is intended to present experimental child interactive content that is applied with a computer vision based on image processing techniques. In the case of infants, the main purpose of this content is the development of hand muscles and the ability to implement imagination. The purpose of the analysis algorithm of the OpenCV library and the image processing using the 'VVVV' that is implemented as a 'Node' in the midst of perceptual changes in image processing technology that are representative of object recognition, and the objective is to use a webcam to film, recognize, derive results that match the analysis and produce interactive content that is completed by the user participating. Research shows what Lego children have made, and children can create things themselves and develop creativity. Furthermore, we expect to be able to infer a diverse and individualistic person's thinking based on more data.

본 논문에서는 키넥트 기반의 동물농장 게임을 설계하고 구현한다. 이 게임은 다양한 동물과 울음소리를 이용하여 유아의 지능 및 신체 발달을 목적으로 하는 유아 교육용 게임이다. 다양한 동물 이미지는 랜덤하게 화면에 출력되고, 플레이어는 화면에 출력된 동물 이미지를 순서대로 터치함으로써 점수를 획득하도록 구현한다. 또한 화면에 출력된 동물 이미지를 터치하면 해당 동물의 울음소리를 출력하도록 구현한다. 플레이어의 동작은 키넥트를 이용하여 인지한 플레이어의 스켈리톤 정보를 전송 받아 이용한다.

Automatic generation of captions for an image is a very difficult task, due to the necessity of computer vision and natural language processing technologies. However, this task has many important applications, such as early childhood education, image retrieval, and navigation for blind. In this paper, we describe a Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) model for generating image captions, which takes image features extracted from a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). We demonstrate that our models produce state of the art results in image caption generation experiments on the Flickr 8K, Flickr 30K, and MS COCO datasets.

The purpose of this study was to explore early childhood pre-service teachers' belief in homosexuality. This study applied the Q-method to investigate teachers'subjective awareness of homosexuality. Using an open questionnaire, we asked participants to describe how they think about homosexuality. Forty-five pre-service teachers were Q-sampled. Using the QUANL program, 45 statements were classified into 9 levels. Results revealed that image types of early childhood pre-service teachers can be classified into four distinguished categories: 1) type of respect: to regard gays and lesbians as normal people who love the same sex, 2) type of acknowledgment: to regard them as very unique people who attract people's attention, 3) type of relation-denying: to regard them as someone who were born totally differently, and 4) type of extremely denying-to regard them not being respected and disgusting. Most of the teachers seemed to have a tendency to acknowledge and respect individuals'sexual orientation. However, some pre-service teachers still have a negative attitude toward homosexuality. The significance of this study is to reveal the silenced issue, that is, sexual orientation in the field of early childhood multicultural education. Teachers can have a strong effect on young children's belief about sexual identity and sexual orientation. It would be important to look back on educators'perspective on homosexuality before suggesting the direction of multicultural education of young children related to the issue of sexual orientation.
