Drone controller using motion imagery brainwave and voice recognition (동작 상상뇌파와 음성인식을 이용한 드론 컨트롤러)

  • 기존의 드론 조작은 초보자에게 어려웠다. 초보자의 경우 드론을 조종하다가 드론이 추락하거나 장애물에 걸려 프로펠러 등의 부품들이 손상되는 경우를 빈번하게 마주한다. 본 연구에서는 초보자 또한 드론 파손의 걱정 없이 드론의 조작을 더욱 쉽게 개선시키는 것을 전제로 뇌파와 보조입력인 음성인식을 이용한 드론 컨트롤러 기술을 적용하고자 한다. 현재 대중적으로 출시되어 있는 드론의 경우 호버링 기능을 포함시켜 드론의 추락 위험을 줄여주는 기능을 탑재하고 있다. 하지만 속도가 빠른 드론의 조작에 있어 미숙한 초보자들은 장애물과의 충돌 그리고 드론 착륙 시 기체손상 등의 위험에 대비하기 힘들다. 본 논문은 이러한 문제점들을 개선하기 위해 기존의 드론 컨트롤러 대신 특정한 동작을 상상할 때 발현되는 동작상상뇌파와 음성입력을 적용한 '동작상상뇌파와 음성인식을 이용한 드론 컨트롤러' 기술을 제안한다. 기존의 드론 컨트롤러와는 다르게 빅 데이터 처리기술인 머신러닝을 이용하여 뇌파 데이터를 처리하고 그 데이터들과 입력되는 뇌파 값을 비교하여 드론을 제어한다. 또한 뇌파의 발현이 안정적이지 못하는 상황을 대비한 보조입력인 음성인식을 이용하여 드론의 기체손상을 최소화 시킬 수 있다.

  • Authentication model in the wireless environment has many security vulnerabilities. However, there is no adapting standard method in this field. Therefore, we propose a fuzzy logic based authentication model to enhance the security level in the authentication environment. We use fuzzy logic based classification to construct our model, and also additionally utilize improved AHP and case-based reasoning for an appropriate decision making. We compute the context information by using the improved AHP method, use the proposed model to compute the security level for the input data, and securely apply the proposed model to the wireless environment which has diverse context information. We look forward to better security model including cloud computing by extending the proposed method in the future.

무중 여객선 해상교량접촉사건에 대한 고찰

  • 우리나라 연안에서 육지와 섬 사이를 연결하는 해상교량은 계속해서 건설하고 있는 추세이며 해상교량이 선박의 안전한 운항에 새로운 위험요소로 대두되고 있다. 반면에 내항여객선 선장 및 항해사는 무중 레이더만 믿고 항해하여야 하나, 레이더가 해상교량의 주경간 항로와 해상교량 건너편 상황을 탐지하기 어렵다는 레이더의 한계를 인식하지 못하고, 경험과 관행에 의해 무리하게 선박을 운항하고 있다고 판단된다. 이 글은 목포지방해양안전심판원의 관할해역에서 발생한 여객선 비금농협카페리호가 신안1교의 교각과 접촉한 사건의 개요와 원인을 살펴보고, 레이더에 의해 해상교량의 주경간 항로를 식별할 수 있는 대책마련의 필요성, 선박의 해상교량 통항을 위한 최소 가시거리 인식 필요성, 해상교량 주변에 피항지 지정 및 관리, 내항여객선의 VHF청취능력 개선, VTS센터와 한국해운조합 운항관리실의 업무협력 강화, 연안 여객선의 안전문화 정착 필요성, GPS Plotter 과신 주의 등의 교훈 및 개선사항을 제시하고 있다.

Location Based Service Scheme Using Mobile Agent In Mobile (이동 통신망에서 이동 에이전트를 이용한 위치 기반 서비스 설계)

  • 최근 유비쿼터스 네트워크 환경을 통해 새롭고 다양한 서비스가 개발되고 있다. 그 중, 위치기반 서비스(Location Based Services: LBS)는 GPS나 이동 통신망을 사용해 사용자나 사물의 위치를 파악하고 이를 기반으로 유용한 서비스를 제공하는 기술이다. 이 기술은 공공 안전 서비스나 위치 추적, 항법 서비스, 정보제공 서비스 등에 적용되어 사용될 수 있다. 하지만 기존의 위치 기반 시스템은 실내 및 건물 밀집지역에서 위치 인식이 쉽지 않고 사용자의 위치 정보가 누출될 위험성이 있다는 문제점을 가진다. 본 논문에서는 이동 통신망과 무선 근거리 통신망에서 동작하는 이동 에이전트를 이용하여 위치기반 서비스를 구성하였다. 본 기법은 Hybrid Peer to Peer 방식을 이용하여 건물 밀집 지역이나 지하, 실내에서도 정확한 위치측정이 가능하고 개인의 위치 정보도 노출되지 않으며, 나아가 개인 이동 단말기의 상황 인식 컴퓨팅(Context-Aware Computing) 환경 구축에도 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대 된다.

User Interface for the 'Smombie Safe Go' App for Walking Safety (보행안전을 위한 앱서비스 'Smombie Safe Go' UI 연구)

  • The development in smartphone technology has brought convenience to the life of the mankind, but an excessive use of smartphones sometimes causes various accidents. This research tried to propose an application service 'Smombie Safe Go' UI(User Interface) that allows the prevention of such accident while using smartphones when walking. For this, after research and user observations, produced walker journey maps and derived necessary main functions needed for safety, and the result showed that transparent interface, obstacle location alert, warning of dangers functions were necessary. To make the contents of the service more detailed, hazardous situations faced during smartphone use when walking were classified into 3 situations : 1. Obstacle appearing in front, 2. traffic lights on crosswalks 3. No traffic lights on crosswalks. Scenarios by hazardous situation were written, and the flow and UI of the app service that warns its users in each situation of hazards were designed. it is predicted that 'Smombie Safe Go' may be possible to be utilized as an app service that provides a safe walking experience for not only regular pedestrians but also the blind population.

An Empirical Method Identifying Real-time Stagflation Pressure in Korea: Focusing on Activating Monthly Data (한국 스태그플레이션 평가기법에 관한 연구: 월별자료이용을 중심으로)

  • Even though many people loosely term a period of high inflation combined with stagnation "stagflation", it has been very difficult for us to find a more detailed and theoretical definition for such a period. In addition, most economic policy makers have faced some uncertainty and difficulty in identifying stagflation periods through analyzing a lot of economic data. This paper deeply researches the literature on specific definitions of stagflation and provides an empirical method by which we can systematically identify real-time stagflation pressure. Under this method, real-time stagflation pressure can be evaluated as a complex index by using both extensive monthly economic data indicating economic conditions or inflation pressure and a logit regression model. As a result of applying this method to the first half of 2008 in Korea when there was much debate as to whether the Korean economy was experiencing a corresponding stagflation or not, this period is not now evaluated as having been a stagflation period. This paper provides some implications. Namely, we need to put more emphasis on stabilizing inflation expectations.

Estimating a Range of Lane Departure Allowance based on Road Alignment in an Autonomous Driving Vehicle (자율주행 차량의 도로 평면선형 기반 차로이탈 허용 범위 산정)

  • As an autonomous driving vehicle (AV) need to cope with external road conditions by itself, its perception performance for road environment should be better than that of a human driver. A vision sensor, one of AV sensors, performs lane detection function to percept road environment for performing safe vehicle steering, which relates to define vehicle heading and lane departure prevention. Performance standards for a vision sensor in an ADAS(Advanced Driver Assistance System) focus on the function of 'driver assistance', not on the perception of 'independent situation'. So the performance requirements for a vision sensor in AV may different from those in an ADAS. In assuming that an AV keep previous steering due to lane detection failure, this study calculated lane departure distances between the AV location following curved road alignment and the other one driving to the straight in a curved section. We analysed lane departure distance and time with respect to the allowance of lane detection malfunction of an AV vision sensor. With the results, we found that an AV would encounter a critical lane departure situation if a vision sensor loses lane detection over 1 second. Therefore, it is concluded that the performance standards for an AV should contain more severe lane departure situations than those of an ADAS.

  • According to increasing of payment and settlements like smart banking, internet shopping and contactless transaction in smart device, the security issues are on the rise, such as the vulnerability of the mobile OS and certificates abuse problem, we need a secure user authentication. We apply the OTP using biometrics and PKI as user authentication way for dealing with this situation. Biometrics is less risk of loss and steal than other authentication that, in addition, the security can be enhanced more when using the biometric with OTP. In this paper, we propose a user authentication using biometrics and OTP in the mobile device.

  • Recent developments in internet technologies has enabled widespread growth of embedded systems like Arduino, Raspberry Pi and other smart home systems. A research in the industrial sector on the utilization of the board has been made. The development needs of the embedded board in a reagent bottle case system has been highlighted. Current reagent Management System has to hold and manage the reagent itself is mostly to save the program using handwritten or machine. In addition, there is a risk to the system during the vulnerable zone administrator to manage the situation of the reagent bottle case can lead to a massive fire. In this paper, reagent bottle case RFID readers and data in real-time is monitored by attaching a sensor management through the database and sends a warning message to the mobile device of the administrator in real time during hazardous situations in the reagent bottle case. This is improve the reliability and efficiency of reagent bottle case.

  • Despite technical advance, human error is the main reason for maritime accidents. To ensure a safety of maritime transporting environment, technical and methodological improvement to react to various types of maritime accidents should be developed instead of ambiguously anticipating maritime accidents due to human errors. Survey, questionnaires, and interview have been routinely applied to understand objective human lookout pattern differences in various navigational situations. Although the descriptive methodology helps systematically categorizing different patterns of human behavior to avoid accidents, the subjective methods limit to objectively recognize physical behavior patterns during navigation. The purpose of the study is to develop an objective lookout pattern detection system using wearable sensors in the simulated navigation environment. In the simulated maritime navigation environment, each participant performed a given navigational situation by wearing the wearable sensors on the wrist, trunk, and head. Activity classification algorithm that was developed in the previous navigation activity classification research was applied. The physical lookout behavior patterns before and after situation-aware showed distinctive patterns, and the results are expected to reduce human errors of navigators.
