Effect of Perceived Risk on Chinese Street Foods of Korean Tourists on Eating Intention: Focusing on Moderator Effect of Food Neophobia (한국 관광객의 중국 길거리 음식에 대한 식품위험지각이 시식의도에 미치는 영향: 푸드네오포비아의 조절효과 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate how perceived risk of Chinese street foods affect on eating intention and verify the moderator effect of food neophobia between them. To test study hypotheses, we apply a logistic regression analysis and a hierarchical logistic regression analysis. The findings and implications can be summarized as follows. First, Korean tourist perceived hygienic risk on Chinese street foods most highly, followed health risk, social/psychological risk. Second, while perceived health or social/psychological risk on Chinese street foods has s significant and negative effect on eating intention, but perceived hygienic risk has no significant effect. Third, there is a evidence to support moderating effect between perceived hygienic risk and eating intention of Chinese street foods.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the effect of the risk communication of the food service industry on consumers' psychological response and attitude. The result is as follows. First, as for the relation between risk communication and information reliance, when the recognition of risk communication stability gets higher, information reliance rose; when the recognition of risk gets higher, information reliance rose with higher recognition of morality. Second, as for the relation between risk communication and risk recognition, when the recognition of risk communication stability gets higher, risk recognition rose; when the recognition of risk gets higher, risk recognition rose with higher recognition of environment and the information reliance rose with higher recognition of morality. Third, as for the relation between the information reliance of risk communication and risk recognition, when the information reliance of risk communication gets higher, risk recognition rose.

  • The main purpose of this study is to find out how perceived risk elements influence to customer's perceived value and repurchase intention in the electronic commerce environment. To achieve the goal, we set 6 sub-dimension - privacy risk, social risk, time lose risk, economic risk, psychological risk, and performance risk - based on comprehensive consideration of related studies, and established a research model included 2 factors such as perceived value and repurchase intention to measure performance in internet shopping malls. From 174 customers of the electronic commerce shopping malls survey data have been collected and analyzed based on the covariance structural model method. Firstly, four perceived risk characteristics of privacy risk, economic risk, psychological risk, and performance risk are significant effect on perceived value. Secondly, perceived value is very significantly related to repurchase intention in electronic commerce shopping malls. Consequently, we discussed the strategies to create perceived value and repurchase intention in electronic commerce environment. Also, we suggested the implications and further research directions.

  • This research examined the effect of risk perception on risk attitude and risk acceptance of nuclear power plants. For this study, we carried out a survey targeting local residents living in Gyeong-ju..And we examined how risk perception of nuclear power plants have influences the risk attitude and risk acceptance including distrust on government's polices and perceived benefit. First, The findings showed that risk perception of nuclear power plants influenced positively on risk attitude. Second, risk attitude of nuclear power plants influenced negatively on risk acceptance. Third, distrust on government's polices influenced negatively on risk acceptance. Fourth, perceived benefit influenced positively on risk acceptance.

The Effects of Trust and Perceived Risk in Internet Shopping Malls on Attitude and Purchase Intension (인터넷 쇼핑몰에서 신뢰와 지각된 위험이 태도 및 구매의도에 미치는 영향)

  • 본 연구는 불확실하고 덜 검증된 인터넷 쇼핑몰 환경에서 거래당사자간의 심장역할을 하는 신뢰의 선행요인을 확인하고, 신뢰와 지각된 위험, 태도, 구매의도간의 관계를 실증분석 하였다. 똔 연구모형을 검증한 결과 신뢰의 선행요인일 것으로 예상했던 이해타산 기반의 믿음, 구조적 보장, 상황적 규범, e-벤더에 대한 친숙함이라는 4가지 요인 중 구조적 보장, 상황적 규범, e-벤더에 대한 친숙함은 신뢰에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 확인되었다. 선행요인을 기반으로 구축된 신뢰는 지각된 위험을 낮추고 낮아진 지각된 위험은 고객의 호의적인 태도에 영향을 미칠 것으로 기대했지만, 실증분석 결과를 보면 신뢰가 지각된 위험은 낮추지만, 지각된 위험이 태도에 직접적으로 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 신뢰와 지각된 위험은 부(-)의 관계가 확인되었고, 지각된 위험과 태도의 관계는 통계적으로 유의성을 찾기가 힘이 들었다. 또한 신뢰는 호의적인 태도에 긍정적인 영향이 확인되었으며, 호의적인 태도 역시 구매의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 신뢰가 태도를 매개로 구매의도에 영향을 미칠 뿐만 아니라 신뢰가 태도에도 직접적으로 영향을 미치는 관계도 확인되었다.

  • 소비자 의사결정 행동은 여러 가지의 대안 중에서 선택의 문제이다. 그러한 선택에는 각각의 선택에 따른 위험이 따르기 마련이다. 일반 상거래에서의 이러한 위험에 관한 연구는 소비자 행동 연구에서 이미 오래 전에 다루어진 문제이다. 위험이란 현실적 내지 객관적으로 존재하는 위험이 아니라 소비자가 선택상황에서 주관적으로 지각하는 위험 즉 '지각위험(perceived risk)'을 의미하는 것이다. 소비자가 어느 만큼의 위험을 지각하느냐와 그 자신의 위험수용성이 곧 그의 구매결정에 영향을 주게 된다.(중략)

  • The aims of this study are to determine if the perceived risk of e commerce affect the Internet shopping mall users'decision to pre-purchase an item via e commerce, to find out if there are differences among the induced perceived risk according to gender, and to verify if the perceived risk according to gender have a correlation to a person's decision to pre-purchase an item via e commerce. It was found from the analysis of the collected data that there are five factors of perceived risk of e commerce: economic risk, the product performance risk, social risk, technology/time loss risk, and privacy risk. First, the collected data were analyzed to determine if the perceived risk of e commerce affect people's purchase intentions, and on the matter of whether there are differences among the pre-perceived risk according to sender, As regards the differences among the relationships between the pre-perceived risk of e commerce and the purchase intention of the Internet shopping mall users based on gender. It can thus be concluded that the pre-perceived risk of e commerce affect the Internet shopping mall users purchase intention. Different results were obtained, though, according to sender. This means e commerce purchasers can use these results to recognize the risk of e commerce.

  • This study investigated the relationship between consumers' knowledge and risk perception towards purchase intention of organic food. The data were collected from a sample of 311 housewives in Seoul and Ulsan. A structural equation modelling technique was used to test the causal model. The results indicated that subjective knowledge was significantly associated with purchasing organic food. Objective knowledge, in contrast, was only indirectly associated with purchasing organic food, through increased subjective knowledge and risk perception towards purchasing organic food. Risk perception towards organic food had a direct positive and relatively strong relationship with purchasing organic food. Implications of the results and limitations of the study were discussed.

  • 본 연구에서는 인터넷 쇼핑에서 소비자들이 구매결정으로 지연하고 불안해하는 원인을 제품군별로 기존의 지각된 위험과 더불어 새로운 쇼핑방식 이용에 따른 위험 그리고 소비자 특성 등과 관련지어서 알아보았다. 연구결과, 인터넷 쇼핑 시 소비자가 지각하는 위험은 제품군에 따라서 다르게 나타났다. 인터넷 쇼핑몰에서의 쇼핑경험이 없는 소비자들이 경험이 있는 소비자들보다 위험을 더 높게 지각함으로써 더 불안해했다. 쇼핑빈도에 관해서는 제품군에 관계없이 쇼핑빈도가 증가함에 따라서 지각된 위험이 감소하였다. 인터넷쇼핑을 경험한 집단과 무경험 집단을 판별해주는 소비자 특성변수로는 제품군에 관계없이 충동구매경향성과 의견선도로 나타났다. 소비자 특성과 불안 요소인 지각된 위험간의 관련성은 제품군에 따라서 다르게 나타났다. 본 연구는 제품군별로 인터넷쇼핑 경험집단과 무경험 집단 간의 지각된 위험에서의 차이와 두 집단을 판별해주는 소비자 특성변수를 실증적으로 살펴봄으로서 인터넷쇼핑의 이용가능성을 더욱 높일 수 있는 기초 자료를 제공했다는 점에서 의의를 갖는다.

A Study on the Risk Perception and Information Seeking for the Purchase of Clothing (의복구매시 위험지각과 정보탐색에 대한 연구)

  • This study was performed to investigate the type perceived risk of clothing consumers and the types of information seeking, the relationship between perceived risk and information seeking, and the defferences according to the demographic variables. The surveyed data from 376 college students were analized using Person's correlation, factor analysis, t-test, and ANOVA. The risk perception of clothing consumers was classified into five types: economic and performance risk, loss of time risk, social risk, and loss of fashionability risk. The information seeking was classified into four types: advertisement, observation in shops, information in memory, and opinions of neighbors. The type of risk perception and the types of information seeking were correlated positively and were different according to expenditure on clothing.
