An Empirical Study on Factors Affecting User Preference to Internet-based Search services (인터넷 포털 사이트의 검색 서비스 선호에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • 오늘날은 정보의 홍수라고 표현이 될 만큼 많은 양의 정보를 어디서나 얻을 수 있다. 이러한 많은 양의 정보 중 사람들은 그들이 필요한 정보를 얻기 위하여 인터넷을 사용하며 대부분의 사용자들이 포털 사이트의 검색 서비스를 통하여 그들이 원하는 정보를 검색하고 얻고 있다. 그러나 전통적인 여과 과정을 통해 검증된 인쇄 자원과는 다르게 인터넷상에 있는 자원은 대부분 여과되어 있다고 볼 수 없다. 인터넷상에서 발견되는 정보가 주로 여과되지 않은 상태라는 점을 이해하는 것도 정보를 얻는 사용자 입장에서 매우 중요하다. 그런 의미에서 웹에서는 제공되는 정보에 대한 선정, 조직화, 검색에 대한 표준화가 아직 없기 때문에, 단순히 웹 검색 엔진을 이용한 검색의 결과만을 통해서 원하는 정보를 찾는 것은 쉽 지가 않다(Spink et al, 1999). 비록 원하던 정보를 얻었다 해도 획득한 정보가 신뢰할 만한 것인지를 판단하기가 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 그러한 요구에 부응하기 위해 검색 서비스에 대한 사용자 선호 요인을 선별하고 설문 조사를 통해 검증하고자 한다. 본 연구는 크게 문헌 연구와 실증 연구로 구별되며, 실증 분석에서는 검색 서비스를 사용해 본 경험이 있는 인터넷 사용자를 대상으로 설문을 인터넷 사이트와 설문지를 배부하는 형식으로 진행하여, 통계 패키지를 이용 결과를 분석하였다. 문헌 연구에 따르면 인터넷 사이트를 사용하는데 있어서, 사용자 선호에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 정보 품질, 서비스 연계성, 인지된 유용성, 흥미성, 시스템 품질, UI의 편의성이 있으며 본 연구에서도 이러한 요인을 중심으로 연구 모형을 정하였다. 이러한 요인들에 대하여 가설을 정해 실증 분석을 한 결과, 기본적으로 검색 서비스에 대한 인지된 유용성과 UI의 편의성은 사용자 선호에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 정보 품질, 서비스 연계성, 흥미 성, 시스템 품질은 사용자 선호에 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 정보 품질과 시스템 품질의 결과는 유의 수준에서 크게 넘어가지 않는 결과가 나와 반드시 영향을 미치지 못하는 것은 아니라고 조사되었다. 본 연구는 검색 서비스라는 특정 서비스에 대해서 사용자 선호에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대해서 알아보고자 하였다. 이는 학문적인 측면에서 기존의 통합적인 웹사이트 평가에 대한 연구의 확장을 가능케 하였고, 개인사용자 측면에서는 좀더 좋은 정보를 제공하는 검색 서비스에 대한 이해를 높일 수 있는 계기가 되었다고 할 수 있다.

An Empirical Study on the Website Quality Factors Affecting Revisit Intent in Domestic Online Shopping Malls (재방문의도에 영향을 미치는 쇼핑몰 웹사이트 품질평가요인에 관한 실증적 연구)

  • This research is an empirical investigation into the dimensions determining the website quality of domestic online shopping malls. A research model that has been formed to find the website quality dimensions is based on DeLone and McLean's information system success model that we adapted to fit the B2C electronic commerce environment by incorporating existing research on IS service quality and website quality. The model incorporates three quality dimensions including the information quality, system quality and service quality, and an attempt was made to empirically examine the relationship between variables of these dimensions and the revisit intent. The results of the study revealed that five quality-related variables were found to importantly contribute to the user's intent to revisit a site : the information accuracy and relevancy, system reliability, ease of use, and on-line support. The paper concludes that the three quality dimensions can serve as a useful framework to evaluate the quality of online shopping mall websites in an attempt to improve the website revisit rate.

  • As the demands of island tourism increasing, the importance of information is considered the key success factor of island tourism. This study suggest the several factors that affecting in island tourism based on the previous studies of tourism research domain. the Important Performance Analysis(IPA) that has much popularity in tourism research is used to evaluate the information characteristic and priority of island tourism in university students of Korea. Based on the result of this study, the information of the natural landscape/scenery and the sightseeing related activity have less priority than the facilities and local foodstuff of the specific island. Considering the aspects and levels of currently serviced island tourism information, differentiated information that including the facilities and local foodstuff of island have reasonable priority for establishing effective and efficient island tourism strategy.

  • This study is the research on sensitivity in the web. The main purposes of the study are to present the objective criteria on sensitivity of web users and to help embodiment of successful design. The study has overall two main subjects, which are the contents and results. They are as follows. First, the study is going to develop sensibility factors and the sensitivity structure model. Second, based on the study above, the further stage focuses on the correlation between sensibility and figurative factors in the web design. By understanding of the correlation between sensitivity and figurative factors, the study assist designer in the embodiment of successful sensitivity design. And it shows one of the various approaches to sensitivity. In the end, it can be considered as a process to make an objective criteria on sensitivity design at the same time expected to play a role providing designers with rational guideline on work and evaluation and helping the presentation of successful sensitivity design.

  • Web usability for e-commerce sites becomes a more important issue as e-commerce gains its popularity. As for fresh foods, consumers are especially sensitive to the quality of information during transaction process. Successful fresh food e-commerce sites, such as Wine. com and Tesco, identified regular usability testing as part of key success factors. This paper aims to identify processes for evaluating usability of fresh food e-commerce sites and provide recommendations to improve usability. The study aims to evaluate Web usability of selected Web sites using heuristic evaluation to provide objective Web usability analysis for each transaction process and think aloud method to understand how users actually evaluate the Web site.

  • It is true that internet provides consumers with an efficient way to search information with minimal effort and cost, which facilitates better decision making. Especially, previous studies revealed that the online word-of-mouth marketing is widely used as a source of consumers' information seeking and purchase decision making. Even with this importance of the online word-of-mouth communication on internet few researches have systematically addressed the issue. This study investigates the effect of consumers' motives on perceived usefulness of word-of-mouth marketing in online shopping mall contents. The results are as follows: First, choice uncertainty, perceived sacrifice, and social pressure play an important role for perceived usefulness of word-of-mouth marketing. Second, perceived usefulness has directly affected consumers' quality perception. Thus, it is essential for internet companies to find ways to encourage their customers to engage in word-of-mouth communication on their websites.

  • With the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, startups are leading the proliferation of logistics in life services in countries across the world. Logistics in life startups aim to differentiate themselves for traditional logistics companies by offering customized services that penetrate niche logistics market and enhance customer convenience and satisfaction. Through the development of mobile applications(apps) and platform a variety of life-enhancing services are becoming increasingly available to customers, such as on-demand, online-to-offline, convenience, reverse logistics, as well as last-mile delivery. In particular, logistics in life services are expanding into areas that include food delivery, home moving, cargo transport, laundry delivery, car washing, and car repair. In order for the logistics in life startups to succeed, they needs to offer highly usable apps to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty. Due to the nature of mobile phones, different evaluation criteria than those for websits should be used to determine the usability of apps. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the usability of representative Korean logistics in life apps through usability testing, discuss implications and offer improvement recommendations. Finally, the best Korean logistics app is compared with a top ranked app on Google Play for benchmarking purposes.

Evaluation of Scholarly Information System in STEM (STEM 학술정보시스템 평가)

  • The fields of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Medicine) are changing rapidly. Recently, with the remarkable development of Internet and Web technologies, an environment that can be accessed worldwide has been created, thereby lowering the barriers to share STEM knowledge and information. The purpose of this study is to derive improvements by evaluating users' satisfaction with the information system developed by applying the open access model in the STEM field. Through an online survey using a structured questionnaire, a total of 204 users participated from January to February. The collected data were analyzed using quantitative statistical techniques. IPA (Importance Performance Analysis) technique was used. By identifying the importance and satisfaction (performance) between variables, areas with relatively low satisfaction compared to importance were derived. Users' overall satisfaction with the open access information system was 81.2 points and social reliability was 85.9 points, which were relatively high, respectively. What should be paid attention to in this study is the satisfaction with the system use environment, which is the most vulnerable area.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the impacts of e-service quality factors on customer satisfaction and behavior intention. This study also aims to examine the relationship between the variables of web site service quality variables (reliability, information, design, communication, entertainment, convenience), the customer satisfaction with web site, relationship intention and word of mouth intention. As the results, the study found that factors of web site service quality variables has a positive impact on customer satisfaction. And customer satisfaction also has a positive impact on relationship intention and word of mouth intention. At the same time, it was found that customer satisfaction had an effect on relationship intention through the mediation of word of mouth intention indirectly as well as directly. According to those results, marketing managers should develop different service strategies.

  • 본 연구는 자연재해대책법에 의해 개발사업으로 인한 재해유발요인을 예측 분석하고 이에 대한 대책을 강구하기 위해 수행되고 있는 사전재해영향평가에서 표준화된 한국토양유실도 자료를 제공하여 자료의 객관화를 이루도록 함을 목적으로 하고 있다. 한국토양유실도 제공 시스템은 2단계에 걸쳐서 수행할 계획이다. 1단계에서는 한국토양유실량 분포도를 RUSLE를 이용하여 작성하였다. 이 RUSLE모에서 강우 에너지인자 산정을 위한 강우량 자료는 기상청의 59개 기상관측소의 1977년부터 2006년까지의 30년간의 자료를 이용하여 24시간 지속시간의 전국 R값을 빈도별로 산정하여 강우에너지인자에 대한 주제도를 작성하였다. 또한 사용한 GIS자료는 USGS DTED Level-2, 국립농업과학원의 정밀 토양도, 환경부의 중분류 토지피복도 자료이고 이들 자료를 이용하여 RUSLE의 각인자별 주제도를 작성하였고, 이를 웹사이트(http://krsc.kict.re.kr/RUSLE/rusle.asp)를 통해 신청인으로부터 메일로 범위(행정구역경계, 1/25,000수치지도 도엽번호, 수자원단위지도 등)를 요청 받거나 수자원단위지도의 중권역 및 표준권역의 경우 사용자가 직접 자료요청을 하여 토양유실도를 제공받는 시스템이다. 2단계에서는 작성된 한국토양유실량 분포도를 제공하는 것은 물론이며, 사용자가 원하는 범위에 대하여 shape 파일을 입력, 강우에너지인자(R) 입력, 그리고 토지피복별에 따른 RUSLE의 C 혹은 P값을 수정하여 분석하거나, 현재 토양통별로 제시된 K값을 사용자가 직접 관측한 값을 이용하여 Web-RUSLE시스템에 입력하면 자동으로 토양유실량을 산정할 수 있는 시스템으로 구축할 계획이다.
