As life gets richer along with social development, the interest in composure of life and in quality of life gets higher. According to this, a concept on bathroom, which had been simply physiological sanitary space before, is being gradually changed, thereby being reborn as space of charging vitality of life and of realizing own desire. As these consumers' new desire is emerged, it is being highlighted the behavior of being made in space now called 'bathroom', the requirements for this space, and the interest in what aims to be pursued. However, current Korean people have different bathroom behavior such as using outside bathtub or filling a washbasin with water unlike the center on stand-up shower in the West, thereby having inconvenience. Accordingly, when bathroom is designed that reflects Korean people's bathroom behavior, the satisfaction with using bathroom will be able to be enhanced. This study aims to increase the use satisfaction with bathroom space, to survey Korean people's situations of using bathroom, the inconvenience in using, and the general emotion, and to elicit requirements for bathroom users and basic design guidelines available for reflecting the health in planning bathroom space, the space of solving sanitary problem, and the modern people's physical features and lifestyle.

욕실이라는 특수한 공간은 경제발전과 사회기반시설의 확충, 주거형태의 변화에 따른 생활양식의 변화에 따라 발전해왔다. 즉, 욕실은 그 자체가 별도로 존재하는 공간이라기 보다는 주거공간, 생활공간의 일부로써 발전해왔고, 따라서 이와함께 다루어야만 할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 근미래의 욕실 디자인 트렌드를 예측하기 위해서 정치/경제, 사회/문화, 기술환경, 주거환경 등의 추세를 살펴보고, 이에 따른 욕실환경의 변화를 정리하였다. 그 결과, 근미래의 욕실 디자인 트렌드는 (1)주거공간에 완전히 편입된 밝고 건조한 실내휴식공간으로의 변화, (2)기술의 발전이 적극적으로 반영되어 부가기능이 설치된 편리한 공간, (3)건강을 위한 환경친화적 소재와 기능, (4)절제된 직선 위주의 미니멀한 디자인과 고급화, (5)다양성이 반영된 개성적 공간으로의 연출 등을 예측하게 되었다. 트렌드 예측은, 사회/문화 및 정치경제 현상을 폭넓게 반영하고 비교적 긴주기를 가지는 확실성만을 바탕으로한 결과를 내놓게 되므로 너무나 당연한 이야기들의 반복이 될수도 있을 것이라 사료된다. 그러나 이 트렌드 예측이 향후 새로운 욕실환경과 그에 적합한 욕실기기를 제안하는데 도움이 되는 기초연구가 활용할 수 있었으면 한다.

욕실은 인간의 가장 기본적인 생리 욕구를 해결하는 곳이며 건축물 등의 구조물에 설치되는 기계설비 중급 배수 및 위생 설비가 가장 집약적으로 들어가는 곳 중 하나이다. 욕실은 위생이라는 기능적 측면에서 매우 중요한 공간이지만 인간의 자아 안정을 위한 정신적 측면도 함께 고려되는 복합적 기능을 가진 생활 필수공간이다. 최근들어 욕실 트렌드는 펜트하우스급에서나 꿈꾸던 고급 이미지를 벗어던지고, 친환경 웰빙 흐름에 맞춰 절수 제품과 위생 청결 강화 제품이 인기를 끌고 있다. 본지는 점점 진화하고 있는 욕실 환경에 대해 알아 본다.

Through academic-industrial collaboration program, special knowledge and human resources in the university are utilized in the society and it may contribute to the development of industry and enhance the competitiveness of the corporation to the activation and acceleration of the regional economy and finally to the enhancement of competitiveness of national industry in international level. This study is based upon design process for the development of body-shower product for bath room, and expected to be used as an important educational material for establishment of order-based education system which conforms to the job site needs that may be analysed from feedback of product results and for practical learning.

Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate the preference of bathroom environment for stroke patients. Methods : The subjects of this study were 97 who have experience in rehabilitation therapy at hospitals in Busan. A questionnaire was distributed and collected from February 24th to March 13th, 2014. Results : First, the subjects demand for improvement that non-slip tile and safety handle on bathtub. Second, they preferred the sliding door, sliding door handle, shower booth of convenient facility, non-slip tile, built-in cabinet, L-shaped safety handle, natural ventilating window, floor heating, easier bathtub to enter, bathtub with handle, tilted sink, water temperature index, toilet with safety handle, and bath chair. Conclusion : This study would contribute to bathroom environment for safety and ease in use.

Recent advances in healthcare-adapted devices, the increase in chronic diseases and the increasing social needs due to aging, trigger the development of smart healthcare systems and present a new medical paradigm. As a result, moves are being made to accommodate the changing healthcare concept of modern residential areas. In particular, the bathrooms in residential areas are becoming diverse as medical spaces with various types of bathroom culture. Therefore, by actively utilizing the digital medical procedure 3, the smart health care system was applied, I thought about future bathroom products (like smart shower and smart scales) and searched for the technology necessary for each person's needs. By planning a product suitable for a changing bathroom, it will be useful for the development of smart healthcare technology through future national and policy improvements in preparation for the age of the fourth industrial revolution.

The purpose of this study is to provide a basic study for a desirable bathroom planning of the 30s pyung apartments. This study explores the change of the bathroom planning and analyzes the bathroom plans of the existing apartments. The data are 927 case of the bathroom plans of the 30s pyung apartments constructed in Seoul and the new town between 1971-2003. Where 145,807 households live. In this study, a trend of the bathroom form, numble in the 30s pyung apartments are examined. For the better planning of the bathroom. factors like family size. life cycle, and manner of bathroom use should be analyzed in the future studies. The analysis of the dweller's consciousness, satisfaction, and the demands on the bathroom in 30s pyung apartments, and to give useful information on bathroom planning of 30s pyung apartments.

Nowadays, as the environmental pollution becomes severe on the earth, the water resource which can be used practically is dried up because of the natural disaster. And so, this is the time to be necessary to have the method for saving the water resource. This study investigates the distributions of velocity and temperature by the flow analysis inside the faucet models for bathroom. Model 3 has the most uniform distribution of temperature after mixing among all models. As model 3 has the smallest velocity distribution and the biggest space to mix by comparing the other models, it is seen to have the most influence on the discharged velocity of water and save the water. As the space of various configuration inside faucet model for bathroom is made by using the result of this study, it is thought to utilize at the development of this model in which more mixing becomes and the water can be saved. And it is possible to be grafted onto the convergence technique at design and show the esthetic sense.

Smart Technology is able to apply the design a bathroom for the architectural relations and realizes a remote healthcare in the Bathroom. This study will be analyze change function of Bathroom and the Smart Technology and Healthcare Systems. Therefore this study make proposal for the design of the Bathroom and the remote control of Healthcare using Smart Technology System in harmony with the special property for hygiene, physiology and Healthcare in the Bathroom.

This study was purposed to find that the elderly in Daejeon city evaluated design details in bathroom, stairway, entrance etc. On the base of housing expenses and an administrative district, the elderly over 65 were chosen and interviewed by well-trained investigators and 583 case was analyzed through SPSS PC 10.0. The results of this study were as follows ; they said a bathtub was necessary, the floor was not slippery, the height of basin was not high and the grab bar around toilet was not in bathroom and emergency bell was not in house. The elderly pointed out that the non-slip floor, grab bar, bathtub in bathroom and non-slip floor in entrance and stairs should be designed carefully. By the condition of the elderly' health and independent daily living and experience of housing, the evaluation of importance on bathroom and approach design by the elderly were different.
