An Interchannel Interference Self-Cancellation Scheme for the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing System (직교 주파수분할다중화 시스템을 위한 채널간간섭 자기소거법)

  • Due to the frequency offset, interchannel interference (ICI) is occurred in the received symbols of the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. The ICI self-cancellation (ICI-SC) technique appropriately adjusts the subchannel signal assignment of the OFDM symbols, thereby canceling the interference caused by other subchannels. The conventional adjacent symbol repetition (ASR) method can reduce the interference caused by remote subchannels. However, it may not mitigate or even increases the ICI produced by some nearest subchannels. To solve the problem, a new ASR based ICI-SC technique is proposed and its performance is analyzed in this paper. Here, a t-parameter obtained by the interference coefficients of 3 successive subchannels is applied. As a result, the proposed method has the same capability to reduce the influence of remote subchannels. However, it can reduce the ICI caused by the nearest subchannels significantly.

  • 급격히 신장하고 있는 전파응용 서비스의 질적, 양적인 수요를 충족시키기 위하여 세계 각 국은 나름대로의 전파 관리 체계를 운영함으로써 전파자원 이용 효율의 극대화를 추구하고 있다. 이와 때를 같이하여 국내에서도 전파응용 산업의 활성화를 위하여 각종 규제의 완화 및 적극적인 연구개발 투자가 이루어지고 있다. 특히 전파자원의 국제적 이용이 확산되고 있는 시점에서 전파자원 이용의 올바른 정책방향 수립이 요구된다 하겠다. 이 글에서는 국내의 전파관리제도 현황과 미국, 일본, 영국, 독일의 주파수 관리제도, 관련조직 구성, 업무분장 등을 살펴보고 향후 우리나라의 전파관리제도의 발전방향에 대한 의견을 제시하였다.

  • 휴대인터넷은 새로운 고속 무선 데이터 서비스로서 초기 시장 진입 시 기존의 서비스와의 경쟁이 불가피할 것으로 보인다. 이러한 경쟁적 요인의 완화와, 전역적 커버리지 확보를 위한 망 투자의 효율성등의 이유로 타 망과의 연동을 적극 검토하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 2,3 GHz대역에서 전용의 주파수 할당을 통해 고속의 무선 데이터 접속 서비스 제공을 목적으로 추진되고 있는 휴대인터넷과 기존의 공중 무선 랜 및 CDMA 패킷 데이터 망과의 연동과 관련 된 주요 이슈들을 설명한다. 이러한 이슈들에는 연동 서비스와 관련된 사업적 모델과 망 구조, BM 구현을 위한 가입/과금/인증 등의 소프트 인프라, 단말, 사용자 경험, 이동성 지원 등의 문제들이 포함된다.

  • 잡음환경에서의 음성인식 성능향상을 위하여 본 논문에서는 스펙트럼 차감법 이후에 남아 있는 잔여 잡음으로 인한 mismatch를 극복하는 수단으로 기존의 스펙트럼 차감법에서의 flooring factor를 사용하는 대신에 target 잡음레벨을 이용하여 잡음 마스킹을 적용하는 스펙트럼 차감법과 잡음 마스킹의 hybrid 방식을 사용한다. 이 방법은 낮은 SNR에서 개선되지 않는 기존의 잡음 마스킹이 가지는 약점을 극복하고 동시에 스펙트럼 차감버에서의 잔여 잡음 문제를 완화시킬 수 있었다. 특히 시간/주파수 영역 smoothing을 적용함으로써 스펙트럼 차감법과 잡음 마스킹의 hybrid 방식의 적용 이후에도 여전히 남아 있는 일부 잡음을 추가적으로 감소시켰으며, 더욱 향상된 인식성능을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • The dielectric relaxation of high-dielectric capacitors could be understood as a dynamic property of the capacitor in the time domain, which is regarded as a primarily important charge loss mechanism during the refresh time of DRAMs. Therefore, the equivalent circuit of the dielectric relaxation of the high-dielectric capacitor is essentially required to investigate its effects on DRAM. Nevertheless, There is not any theoretical method which is generally applied to realize the equivalent circuit of the dielectric relaxation. Recently, we have developed a novel procedure for the circuit modeling of the dielectric relaxation of high-dielectric capacitor utilizing the frequency domain. This procedure is a general method based on theoretical approach. We have also verified the feasibility of this procedure through experimental process. Finally, we successfully investigated the effect of dielectric relaxation on DRAM operation with the obtained equivalent circuit through this new method.

  • D2D (Device-to-Device) communication underlaying LTE-advanced networks is a promising technology to improve the system capacity and spectral efficiency. By sharing the same radio resources with cellular user equipments, D2D communications can significantly enhance the overall spectral efficiency. However, it may cause interference between D2D link and cellular link. Careful resource allocation and interference coordination between cellular and D2D communications are very important and need to be properly handled. This paper proposes a radio resource allocation scheme based on FFFR (Flexible Fractional Frequency Reuse) for D2D communication underlaying cellular networks. The base station selects randomly resource blocks assigned to cellular users, and reuses them for a D2D pair. Through simulations, we have confirmed that the proposed scheme improves the system throughput, reduces the computational complexity, and mitigates the interference of D2D link and cellular link.

  • In this paper, we studied a spectrum sensing algorithm for the efficient use of available spectrum in RF energy harvesting system combined with backscatter communication. We first looked for white spaces and then, selected low fading channel among white spaces using spectrum sensing algorithm at a transmitter. The transmitter employing the algorithm alleviates signal interference and improves the received signal strength indication through signals transmitted by low fading channel. The proposed RF energy harvesting system combined with backscatter communication is used the transmitter employing the algorithm. As a result of computer simulations, we can find the performance improvements of RF energy harvesting, BER of backscatter communication, and the received signal strength per distance of backscatter tag.

Impact Characteristics of Multi-Density Insoles for DM Shoes (당뇨화 다밀도 안창의 충격특성)

  • Impact characteristics of six DM(Diabetes Mellitus) shoe insole materials (Podian, Plastazote black, Plastazote white, Flexible PU foam, Podialene 200 blue and Podia flex) and three multi-density insoles (AP, OS and PW insoles) were determined in the present study, using a self-designed impact measurement system. The coefficient of restitution, the median frequency and the attenuation index were calculated for each material, based on impact forces and linear accelerations. Podian revealed the superiority in the coefficient of restitution and the attenuation index. The median frequency of the Flexible PU foam was the smallest. Results also showed that the heel region was the most impact-attenuated among other areas in the insole. OS insole showed the better characteristics in the coefficient of restitution and the median frequency. but there was no significant difference in the attenuation index. Similar impact characteristics were found in all areas in PW insole. since it was basically of the same dual-density polyurethane.

  • The advantages of the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) are high spectral efficiency, resiliency to RF interference, and lower multi-path distortion. To further utilize vast channel capacity of the multiuser OFDM, one has to find the efficient adaptive subchannel and bit allocation among users. In this paper, we propose an 0-1 integer programming model formulating the optimal subchannel and bit allocation problem of the multiuser OFDM. We employ a dual-decomposition method that provides a tight linear programming (LP) relaxation bound. Simulation results are provided to show the effectiveness of the 0-1 integer programming model. MATLAB simulation on a system employing M-ary quardarature amplitude modulation (MQAM) assuming a frequency-selective channel consisting of three independent Rayleigh multi-paths are carried with the optimal subchannel and bit allocation solution generated by 0-1 integer programming model.

The Influence of 'Qi Energy Healing' On Control of Autonomic Nervous System (기치유가 자율신경계의 조절능력에 미치는 영향)

  • This paper demonstrates that 'Qi Energy Healing' effects on elevation of capabilities in regards with the autonomic nervous system which prevents from the stress. Nineteen participants were assigned into 'Qi Energy Healing' and the 'Ordinary Relaxation' condition. Participants were examined to see the difference of frequency domain analysis, heart rate tachogram, physical resistance through the heart rate variability. The 'Qi Energy Healing' is significantly more likely to influence on reducing and diminishing the stress. 'Qi Energy Healing' treatment showed clear distinction on 6 fact. Our findings established the link between effectiveness of 'Qi Energy Healing' and the autonomic nervous system.
