  • A computationally efficient interpolation filter with a low-distortion performance is a key component to utilize the naturally-sampled pulse width modulation (NPWM) in a digital domain. To realize the efficient interpolation filter, we propose a novel design based on the recently-proposed modified Farrow filter. The proposed filter shows a better pass-band distortion performance maintaining similar degree of complexity compared with the conventional Lagrange interpolation filter. We achieve the maximum distortion deviation of 10-3 dB to 20-kHz audible frequency range and distortion reduction of 1/6 times compared with the Lagrange interpolation filter.

  • In this paper, we propose a 2D-3D convertible display system having a background of full-parallax integral images. The proposed system is composed of integral imaging system and conventional 2D flat display and is able to operate either 3D mode or 2D mode. In 3D mode, the 3D image is generated by combining the 2D main image with the background image based on integral imaging. In 2D mode, the integral imaging system plays a role as the back-light of 2D flat display and then 2D image is observed through 2D flat display. To show the usefulness of the proposed system, we carry out the preliminary experiments and present the successful experimental results.

  • In this paper, we analyze the radio propagation path loss characteristics for the vertical electric dipole radiation over the perfect electric conductor(PEC) ground plane. Most research have been performed about the electromagnetic analysis of vertical electric dipole in free space for time domain or frequency domain. But this paper present the radio propagation path loss over PEC ground plane in time domain under the assumption of the vertical electric dipole as a base station. From the simulated results, the ground plane effect can change the location of near field from transmitting antenna and the transient responses at mobile are calculated. The results of this paper can be applied to surface radar or signal processing applications.

  • Most of the methods of estimating the size of software are based on the functions provided to costumers and in the process of granting the score to each function we consider the complexity during the process. The FFP technique has advantages applied to vast areas like data management. real-time system, algorithmic software, etc, but on the other hand, has disadvantage on estimating sizes for weights for necessary function elements. This paper proposes the estimating method for software size by considering the complexity of each function elements in full function point calculation method applied to a new developed project and maintenance projects. For this, based on function point by using surveyed data proved the validity of proposed method. The valid result. was that the function elements, the attributes used in size estimation of software, est mated better estimated sizes than in the case of other weights being applied.

  • So far, most of research on automated test data generation(ATDG) deals with programs without pointers. Recently, few works hove been done on ATDG in the presence of pointers, but they ore path-oriented techniques which require the specification of on entire program path to be tested or a program to be executed. This paper presents a new technique for generating test data even without specifying a program path completely. The presented technique is a static technique which transforms the test data generation problem into a SAT(SATisfiability) problem and makes advantage of SAT solvers for ATDG. For the ends, we transform a program under test into Alloy which is the first-order relational logic and then produce test data via Alloy analyzer.

  • In general, test data generation techniques require the specification of an entire program path for automated test data generation. This paper presents a new way for generating test data automatically een without specifying a program path completely. For the ends, this paper presents a technique for transforming a program under test into Alloy which is the first order relational logic and then producing test data via Alloy analyzer. The proposed method reduces the burden of selecting a program path and also makes it easy to generate test data according to various test adequacy criteria. This paper illustrates the proposed method through simple, but illustrative examples.

  • This paper describes a systematic process which can generate a complete circuit specification efficiently for a given recursive DSP algorithm based on an optimal multiprocessor scheduler. The process is composed of two states: scheduling and circuit synthesis. The scheduling part accepts a fully specified flow graph(FSFG) as an input, and generates an optimal synchronous multiprocessor schedule. Then the circuit synthesis part translates the modified schedule into a complete circuit diagram including a control specification. The circuit diagram can be applied to a silicon compiler for VLSI layout generation. This paper illustrates the whole process with an example of a second order Gray-Market lattice filter.

  • This paper describes a method of generating MPHFs(Minimal Perfect Hash Functions) for large static search key sets. The MOS(Mapping-Ordering-Searching) approach is widely used presently in MPHF generation. In this research, the MOS approach is improved and a SOMS(Selecting-Ordering-Mapping-Searching) approach is proposed, where the Selecting step is newly introduced and the Orderng step is performed before the Mapping step to generate MPHFs more effectively. The MPHF generation algorithm proposed in this research is probabilistic and the expected processing time is linear to the number of keys. Experimental results show that MPHFs are generated fast and the space needed to represent the hash functions is small.

  • Among the method of developing software there are many object-oriented analysis(OOA) techniques, and the new ones are being introduced continuously. The present OOA techniques, however, have difficulty in the identification and the verification of the objects and tend to ignore high-level control aspects of the problem due to the initial partitioning of them on the basis of the data. As a result, it brings inaccurate understanding and faults in the software which is required by users. Therefore the purpose of this paper is to design the TOVERC to verify completeness and consistency through cross-reference between the state transition diagram and the methods of object model in order to reflect the requirements of users in the analysis of software considering this problem.

  • Magnetic resonance thermometry (MRT) is a technique capable of measuring three-dimensional mean temperature fields by utilizing temperature-dependent shifts in proton resonance frequency. In this study, experimental verification of the technique is obtained by measuring 3D temperature fields within fully developed turbulent pipe flow, using 3T and 7T MRI scanners. The effect of the proton resonance frequency (PRF) thermal constant is examined in detail.
