  • Researchers commonly begin a project by studying past works in the area and deriving relevant information and ideas from their predecessors. In presenting their works researchers acknowledge their debts to preflecessors by carefully documenting each source to indicate what they borrowed. The obvious form of plagiarism is to cokx without crediting the sources. Students have to learn how to quote and how to make reference lists or works cited at the end of their reports which allow readers to locate and use the sources they used for their reports. Nowadays online information sources through the internet increase day by day, but there is no standard documentation style for citing these sources. In this paper up-to-date documentation styles recommened by APA(American Psychological Association) and MLA(Modern Language Association) are introduced. It was found that the graduate schools and the academic societies in Korea do not keep a certain documentation style consistently by checking the school catalogs and the policy statements on manuscript submisssion to the journals.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the perception of non-face-to-face online undergraduate lectures experienced by foreign learners, to identify problems of online lectures, and to suggest improvements. For this study, the perception of online lectures was investigated and analyzed by foreign undergraduate students who took online lectures at A and B universities. Through this, I explored the design direction, complementary measures, and direction of online lectures to be held at Korean universities in the future. As a result of this study, non-real-time lectures through E campus were recognized as advantages in that they could learn repeatedly and listen to lectures at home., Real-time lectures using Zoom were recognized as an advantage of being able to communicate between professors and learners. Both types of online lectures had many tasks and had difficulty in focusing on the lecture until the end. In the future, it was found that the amount of lecture contents and the amount of tasks should be reduced and the condition and sound quality of the lecture image should be improved. As for the evaluation method, they preferred online evaluation rather than offline evaluation, and they preferred relative evaluation rather than absolute evaluation. The results of this study were able to closely understand how learners perceive online lectures. Also, when conducting online lectures, I was able to know the points that need to be improved in the future. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the design direction of online lectures and the development of online contents at each university.

  • This article focuses on a transaction log analysis of the DISCOVER online catalog user interface at Duksung Women's University Library. The results show that the most preferred access point is the title field with rate of 59.2%. The least used access point is the author field with rate of 11.6%. Keyword searching covers only about 16% of all access points used. General failure rate of searching is 13.9% with the highest failure rate of 19.8% in the subject field and the lowest failure rate of 10.9% in author field.

  • As the spread of COVID-19, the demand for interactive online class is increasing. Universities are introducing various types of online classes, but many problems arise in the field. Learners complain about the quality of the lecture, and professors have difficulty in preparing and conducting online classes. This study analyzed teaching & learning situation in interactive online class and drew teacher's pain point through case studies. Also, we suggested a method to solve the problem divided into a systemic approach and an administrative approach. The stable settlement of interactive online lectures is expected to accelerate the digital transformation of universities.

  • In this paper, I propose the level of satisfaction with online classes of nursing students and its influencing factors. The participants was 175 nursing students who had enrolled in H university located at Chungcheongbuk-do. The data was collected using a questionnaire which consisted of satisfaction with online classes, learner's efforts, instructor's efforts, interpersonal interaction, and university's supports. The mean score for satisfaction with online classes(scores ranged form 1 to 5) was 3.99. The influencing factors of satisfaction with online classes were intention of using online(p<.001), academic achievement(p=.003), instructor's effort(p=.038), and evaluation of class and management(p=.044), and its explanatory power was 50.2%. The most important things to improve online learning were instructor in problem of operation and server capacity and sound in problem of techniques. Based on the theses results, in order to increase satisfaction with online classes, it is needed to develop strategies to improve intention of using online and academic achievement. Also, instructor's efforts and university's active supports were considered to increase satisfaction with online classes among nursing students.

  • This study explains the fundamental problems of MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) based on major survey results for MOOC and online courses conducted in the United States. Consequently, this study integrates the following conclusions and suggestions on how to improve MOOC and convergence of MOOC and universities under the current IT technology. First, the division into small sized classes will solve the problem of massiveness with MOOC. The problem of openness will be solved by providing differentiated courses based on placement tests; and the weakness of onlineness can be complemented through Flipped Learning methodologies. Second, in convergence of universities and MOOC, there are two desirable approache s: credit-free courses use the improved MOOC suggested in this study while credit courses are conducted by Flipped Learning, based on core online courses within departments. In addition, the credit courses offer intensive and supplementary ones together if possible. Third, MOOC will be utilized more widely as it will offer differentiated courses and be produced by education-based universities.

  • In December 2019, new coronavirus (COVID-19) which was started from Wuhan caused a dramatic changes in college mathematics education around the world from the spring semester 2020. All classes in college was switched to online classes at once. As a result, many efforts were made to keep the quality of mathematics education in college. We have discussed the situation that we did experience and discussed a possible changes that future mathematics education and research can face in the post-corona era (after coronavirus, AC era). Finally, we discussed an evaluation method for student activities that can be used in online class evaluation.

  • This study was attempted to determine the satisfaction of nursing students' online classes in the situation of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and to identify factors affect it. This study conducted a survey on nursing students 220 in Daegu-Gyeongbuk area for a month in April 2021. The collected data were subjected to t-test, ANOVA, correlation, and multiple regression analysis. As a result of analyzing the factors affecting the online class satisfaction of nursing students, the learner factor (β=.29, p<.001) and the system factor (β=.51, p<.001) had a statistically significant effect, the variable with the greatest relative influence was the system factor. As online classes are expected to expand even after the end of COVID-19, for a change to education that can increase the satisfaction of learners, through the development of an online operating system suitable for learning and establishing a foundation for learners to learn independently A paradigm shift in nursing education is necessary.

  • The purpose of this study presents a model of the integrated online library service with LMS (Learning Management System). The new library service is called 'Library on Blackboard' which was developed and implemented by Murray State University Libraries in Murray, Kentucky, USA. This user-centered service with applied information technology has the potential to enhance the quality of the library performance in university libraries. The introduction of the Learning Management System in South Korea has a potential to enhance the education environment and promote new library services. With the emergence of new information technologies and growing popularity in online classes and distance education programs, the importance and usage of Learning Management Systems in higher education has increased.

  • By 'National GIS Plan', various strategies and programs have been carried out for the professional training in the fields of geospatial information. The e-learning can make it possible to develop and manage the adaptable curriculums, to maximize the effect of the practical exercises, and to establish the cooperative systems with the industries. In this study, curriculums of the geospatial fields were developed and suggested for the cyber universities. These curriculums were divided into three stages, fundamentals, applications, and advances, and into three tracks, system development and construction, mapping and geospatial data construction, and practice and application, based on the current demands in geospatial industries. Owing to be the modularized structure, proposed curriculums would be easily adapted and updated to the change of the new demands.
