A Study on Eulerian Analysis for the Steady State Rolling (정상상태 압연공정의 오일러리안 해석에 관한 연구)

  • 정상상태 압연공정의 오일러리안 공정해석 모델에 관한 연구들을 종합 정리하였다 본 연구의 유한요소해석 모델은 집합조직의 발전에 따른 이방성과 미세기공의 성장에 따른 기계적 성질의 열성화를 평형방정식에 직접 결합하였다 따라서 집합조직의 발전 및 기공률의 변화를 예측하고 동시에 이방성과 기계적성질의 열성화를 해석에 반영할 수 있다. 더불어 오일러리안 해석에서 형상예측을 위하여 자유곡면 수정법과 유선추적법을 유한요소해석 모델에 결합하였다 본 연구의 공정해석 모델을 평판 압연, 클래드압연, 삼차원 사각단면봉의 압연 및 형상압연에 적용하여 집합 조기의 발전, R-값, 항복곡면, 결함성장 등의 기계적성질의 변화 예측과 클래드 압연시에 이중재 접촉면 형상, 배불림, 형상압연 시의 단면변화 등의 형상변화 예측을 보여주었다.

A Study on Prediction of Collection Efficiency of Electrostatic Precipitator Using Eulerian Numerical Analysis (오일러리안 수치해석법을 이용한 전기집진기의 집진효율 예측에 관한 연구)

  • The transport of charged particles in electrostatic precipitator is investigated by Eulerian numerical analysis. Collection efficiencies are calculated using various combinations of the assumptions about flow field, turbulent diffusivity and boundary condition at collecting electrode. The characteristics of calculated collection efficiencies are compared with the trends of published experimental results. It is found that the collection efficiency for the case using nonuniform turbulent flow field, nonuniform turbulent diffusivity and zero concentration boundary condition at collecting electrode is the most suitable for the prediction of collection efficiency of electrostatic precipitator.

  • Shape changes of a workpiece in an Eulerian Finite Element analysis for the steady state. three-roll-stand shape rolling are modelled. Although an Eulerian analysis has many advantages for the steady state rolling problems, it necessitates an assumption about the unknown shape of the control volume. In almost all cases. the assumed control volume does not match the final shape and the control volume should be updated. This update can be accomplished by performing a free surface correction. The final shape of a material point, which has a spherical shape at the inlet, can be also predicted by integrating a deformation gradient along a stream line. Analyses of three-roll-stand shape rolling is in detail examined.

  • An Eulerian finite element method for the analysis of steady state rolling/extrusion of sintered powder metals is presented. Initial guess of the porosity distribution in an Eulerian mesh is obtained from the velocity and scaled pressure field computed by the Consistent Penalty finite element formulations-the standard one and the consistent penalty type one-are invoked for the analysis of strain hardening, dilatant viscoplastic deformation of porous metals. Comparisons of the predicted distributions of porosity to those by a Lagrangian finite element method and by experiments reported in the articles prove the effectiveness and validity of the proposed method.

  • This paper is concerned with the prediction of micro structural changes of Al alloys during cryogenic rolling using an Eulerian finite element analysis. The main objective of cryogenic rolling is to obtain ultra-fine grains by severe plastic deformation at the extremely low temperature. Thereby, this simulation focuses on micro structural developments - the texture development and the changes in the size and shape of grains. The former one may be modeled using a crystal plasticity theory while the other can be predicted by a streamline technique. Applications to three pass rolling are given.

  • The arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian(ALE) finite element analysis is applied to the axisymmetric hot extrusion through continuous dies. In order to simulate hot forming problems, an ALE scheme for temperature analysis is proposed. The computed results are compared with experimental results as with those by pure Lagrangian method. In the present study mesh control is accomplished by the use of isoparametric mapping of quadrilaterals.

  • 대기오염 물질의 대기중 거동을 이해하고 예측하기 위하여 여러 가지 대기질 모델이 사용되고 있다. 대기질 모델은 물리적인 모델과 수학적인 모델로 나눌 수 있다(U.S. Environmental Protection Agenc, 1986). 물리적인 모델은 풍동, 수조 등을 이용하여 실제 대기오염 시스템을 축소한 모형을 만들어서 대기오염 물질의 농도 분포를 측정하는 모델이다. 물리적 모델은 대기오염을 가시화 할 수 있다는 큰 장점이 있으나 대기의 난류현상을 재현하는데 제약이 있고 대기오염 물질의 중, 장거리 이동을 예측하는 데는 한계가 있다.

  • In this paper, the study on the behavior of the deformation of brittle material, such as concrete, ceramic, was peformed by comparison of Lagrangian technique and Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics using commercial nonlinear hydrodynamic numerical program, Autodyn_2D. The effect of SPH technique was proved by investigating the behavior of material deformation, velocity profile and pressure profile.
