Since most of information is computerized nowadays, it is extremely important to promote the security of the computerized information. However, the software itself can threaten the safety of information through many abusive methods enabled by coding mistakes. Even though the Secure Coding Guide has been proposed to promote the safety of information by fundamentally blocking the hacking methods, it is still hard to apply the techniques on other programming languages because the proposed coding guide is mainly written for C and Java programmers. In this paper, we reclassified the coding rules of the Secure Coding Guide to extend its applicability to programming languages in general. The specific coding guide adopted in this paper is the C Secure Coding Guide, announced by the Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs of Korea. According to the classification, we applied the rules of programming in Sprout, which is a newly proposed Korean programming language. The number of vulnerability rules that should be checked was decreased in Sprout by 52% compared to C.
Mitochondrial DNAs has been used frequently as genetic markers for the population genetic studies of salmonid fishes. Samples used in this experiment were chum salmons (Oncorhynchus keta) from Korea. We analyzed variation of mitochondrial NADH dehydrogenase subunit 3 gene (ND3) among 4 individuals of the Korea population. Genomic DNA was extracted from the liver of the chum salmon samples. Then, the ND3 gene was amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) including the 3' region of cytochrome oxidase III gene (COIII) and the 5` region of NADH dehydrogenase subunit 4L gene (ND4L). The size of the PCR product was 752 Up and the sequences showed some genetic variation among those four individuals. Genetic variations were observed in 7 sites as single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP). Within the open reading frame of the ND3 gene which encodes 116 amino acids, 5 nucleotide substitutions were found. Both transitional and transversional changes occurred more frequently with transitional changes. Comparison of these sequences with the others of a Japanese chum salmon in GenBank showed 5 sites of SNPs. This study provided the basic information of SNP in ND3 gene among Korean chum salmons and demonstrated the possible use of the SNP data as a genetic marker.

This study compared the food quality of salmonid fishes according to the species, country of origin, and separated part, such as fillet and frame. The proximate composition of chum salmon from Norway (CS-N) was 74.4% moisture, 19.5% crude protein, 4.2% crude lipid, and 1.2% ash. These values were within roughly 1% for the other salmon species. There was no significant difference (at P<0.05) in the Hunter a value of salmon muscle according to sepatated parts. However, there was a significant difference (P<0.05) in Hunter a value of salmon muscle according to the species and country of origin. There were significant differences in odor intensity and hardness of the salmon according to the species. The major free amino acid in all of the salmon muscles was anserine, which ranged from 61.3 to 73.0%. The taste value was the highest for salmon imported from Alaska (CS-A), followed by pink salmon, CS-N, and muscle separated from the frame (AS-C). In the taste value of all salmon muscles, the major amino acid was glutamic acid. The total amino acid content of salmon muscles ranged from 18.36 to 19.64 g/100 g, and the major amino acids were glutamic acid and aspartic acid. There were differences in the mineral contents, including Ca, P, K, and Fe, and fatty acid composition of salmon muscle according to species.

This study described the characteristics of the upstream migration of salmon (Chum salmon, Oncorhynchus keta) along Yeon-gok Stream in the eastern coastal region of Korea from October 24 to November 9, 2018 using radio tag and data storage tag loggers for the detection of the locations of tagged salmon and measurement of water temperature. Tracking experiments were conducted and classified into four types (case 1 to case 4) depending on the release time and the number of salmon tracked. Experiments from case 1 to case 3 were classified depending on the number of salmon tracked into cases in which a single tagged salmon was tracked (case 1), a pair of tagged salmon was tracked (case 2), and salmon were tracked by different sex ratios (case 3). Experiments from cases 1 to 3 were conducted between 10 AM and 1 PM, and case 4 was conducted after 3:30 PM. Salmon moved and spawned in the downstream region of the Yeon-gok, where water temperature is higher than in other rivers and salmon return in Canada, Russia, Japan, and the U.S.A. Most of the radio-tagged salmon swam in deep and shaded areas during the day but actively moved upstream close to sunset, regardless of the release time. Females showed relatively more active movements than males during upstream migration.
Two-monthold silver carps were cultured with seven algal species and zooplankton (Moina macrocopa) in the laboratory. The carps were reared in 10 L translucent cylindrical aquaria with algae and zooplankton for 8 days. The Moina effectively fed almost cultured algae: perfectly removed Cryptomonas (NIES-282) within 60 min. Both algal diets Cryptomonas and Fragilaria (NIES-391) significantly increased the Moina population ($r^2$>0.93, p<0.005), while Microcystis (MIES-90) and Oscillatoria (NIES-204) reduced the zooplankton ($r^2$=0.97, p<001). Fish removed about 50% of all algae for 52 hrs, even 60% of Microcystis still remained: all algae reduced ca. 5${\sim}$12% of initial weight. Furthermore, a continuous supply of algae with same density resulted in the death of fish, e.g. 11 days in cyanobacteria Microcystis. Therefore, the growth limitation of silver carp by algae indicates that zooplankton is of direct dietary contributor in planktivores feeding behavior.
To investigate on the biochemical characteristics of myofibrillar proteins between cold(pollack, salmon) and warm current fish (yellow corbina, shark), myofibrils and actomyosin were prepared, and their biological activities, effect of temperature on the myofibrillar ATPase activities and SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoretic patterns of myofibrils were compared. SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoretic analysis showed that electrophoretic patterns of myofibril vary from fish to fish. Difference in KCl concentration dependency of myofibrillar ATPase activities and ATPase activity- pH curve were found among fish species. Myofibrillar proteins from cold current fish showed higher specific activity at low temperature $(5^{\circ}C-10^{\circ}C)$ than those from warm current fish.
This study was carried out to investigate the ultrastructural changes of spermatozoa obtained from 20 of 3-year-old male chum salmon(Oncorhynchus keta) collected and analysed in middle October in 1995. The ultrastructural changes of gonad of fingerlings were examined to describe the sex differentiation of this species. The results obtained in this study were as follows : In spermatozoa, the nucleus is dense and homogeneous. Two spheroidal mitochondria(about 350nm long) are situated in parallel between the nucleus and the axoneme. Spermatozoa mitochondria are assembled into an organized sheath surrounding the outer dense fibres and axoneme of the flagellar midpiece. The sheath flagellum is situated beneath the base of the sperm head. The primordial germ cells of 6.8~7.2${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ in size, which were buried under fibrous mesenchymal tissue between gut duct and notochord of larva with a total length of 2.4cm at 50 days after hatching. In juvenile of 10.5cm in total length at 70 days after hatching, the gonad was occupied by bundles of oogonia. The dense drumstick bodies(large arrows) are observed in the nuclei of the primordial gonad and surrounding tissue cells of fingerling at 70 days after hatching. The oval Barr bodies(asterisk) are observed in the nuclei of the primordial germ cells under the mitosis(2n). Note the large mitochondria, ribosomes and rough endoplasmic reticulum in the cytoplasm. Accordingly, the fingerlings at 70 days after hatching are identified as the female(xx). In result, the gonadal sex differentiation begins from the 70 days after hatching in chum salmon.

The chum salmon (Oncorhynchus keta) is an anadromous fish distributed all around the North Pacific. Artificial production and release of the juveniles are being made by Korea, Japan, Russia, Canada and the United States. It is important to set up some criteria identifying each stock in order to clarify each nation's right of harvest for the chum salmon resource. As an attempt to build such criteria, we analyzed sequences of a microsatellite DNA Ogo5 and the COIII-ND3-ND4L region of the mitochondrial DNA from chum salmons of Korea, Japan, and the United States. Ogo5 has 4 different alleles: allele A, B-1, B-2, and B-3. Allele B-3 is found only in 3 individuals out of 12 Korea salmons. The Japan salmons have the other 3 alleles and the America salmons have only 2 allots, A and B-1. Heterozygosity index (Ho/He) distinguishes the Korea (1.61) and Japan salmons (1.63) from the America ones (1.09). Seventeen different haplotypes are found in the COIII-ND3-ND4L region from 60 individuals,20 from each stock. The gene genealogy of the haplotypes revealed by TCS program shows that the Korea and Japan salmons are genetically closely linked, but that they are clearly distinguished from the America ones. Ten and eleven individuals of the Korea and Japan salmons have an identical haplotype. Nine individuals of the Korea salmons $(45\%),$ however, are separable from the Japan salmons by their own specific nucleotides. This result presents usefulness of the COIII-ND3-ND4L region as a genetic marker for identification of the chum salmon stocks.

To clarify relationships between the abundance and biological characteristics of Pacific salmon Oncorhynchus spp., we analyzed spatiotemporal changes in fork length, body weight, and an index of relative abundance (catch per unit effort, CPUE) for pink salmon (O. gorbuscha), chum salmon (O. keta), and sockeye salmon (O. nerka) collected by research gill-nets from the T/V Oshoro-maru and the T/V Hokusei-maru of Hokkaido University in the North Pacific during 1953-2007. Populations of each species were distributed throughout the western Bering Sea, eastern Bering Sea (EB), western North Pacific (WNP), central North Pacific (CNP), eastern North Pacific (ENP), and Okhotsk Sea. Since 1970, the average body size of chum salmon at ocean ages 0.3-0.4 has generally declined in the WNP and CNP. However, the average body sizes of sockeye and pink salmon have not shown temporal changes. Chum salmon showed significant negative (positive) correlations between CPUE and body size for populations in CNP (ENP) at ocean ages 0.2-0.3 (age 0.1) for both sexes. In general, sockeye salmon also showed significant negative (positive) correlations between CPUE and body size for populations in the EB at ocean ages X.2-X.3 (age X.1) for both sexes, except in CNP at age 2. Our results suggest that better growth by chum and sockeye salmon in the early periods of their ocean life histories might produce higher abundance. This higher abundance, which might also be affected by overlapping distributions among Pacific salmon species and populations in certain seas, in turn appears to cause density-dependent declines in growth in the following ocean life history period due to the limited carrying capacity of the seas. To understand complex dynamics in Pacific salmon species in the North Pacific Ocean, research on interactions among species and populations is needed.
The ichthyofauna and fish community were surveyed at eight stations in the Wangpi stream from July 2007 to Jun 2008. During the survey period 23 species belonging to 9 families were collected. Of them cyprinid fishes comprised 47.8% (11 species), and Gobiidae 13.0% (3 species), Cobitidae 8.7% (2 species), Siluridae 8.7% (2 species) and other 4.2% (1 species). Eight species (34.8%) of observed species were endemic species. The dominant and subdominant species were Zacco koreanus (relative abundance : 31.0%) and Pungtungia herzi (relative abundance : 27.4 %). As the result of analyzing fish community in the surveyed area, the species diversity, evenness and dominant indicated that the community structure was similar between the upper and lower area of Wangpi stream.
