  • In this study, Full-scale hollow slab Mock-up with VPS(Void Plywood Slab System) was produced. Through Mock-up, the safety of the flat plate hollow slab against short-term sagging and long-term sagging is to be evaluated. The hollow rate of the mock-up specimen to which the hollow core slab was applied was designed to be 24%. When loading through concrete blocks, the most central part of the slab was deflection 8.88mm when loading. However, it shows a safe value compared to the reference value (ln/240=17.93mm) for short-term deflection. As a result of 3 months of measurement of the mock-up experiment, the deflection at the center of the slab increased by 6.792mm from the initial deflection. In addition, it was found that the reference value by the load used suggested by KBC2016 was satisfied.

  • This paper is an architectural historical study on Chimi of Hwangnyongsa Temple. In this research, the shape and cross-section of the chimi are reviewed. The results of the study are as follows. The chimi is a form in which the head part facing the maru is omitted, and the upper and lower body are separated. The upper and lower bonds are assembled into a two types of joint throughout the side of the torso, and then bound with an iron strap. Because of the absence of ridge line in the front, and the narrow curved surface which makes the side plate close to the plane, the entire cross-section is triangular, and the rear plate maintains the shape of the chimi. The naerimmaru connected to the side of the chimi has a slope, so it is clear that the chimi was used on the woojingak-jibung(hipped-roof), and the wing part and back of the chimi are erected on the side roof. The height of the yongmaru and chunyeomaru is about the same and the roofing tiles of those are in contact. The roofing tiles of chunyemaru should be cut to fit the angle of the contacting part. The maru is 30 stories high of roofing tiles as a result of the on-board survey. Based on reference on the shape and timing of the production of chimi, the height of chimi, and the maru is believed to have been built before the Unified Silla Period and used in buildings with at least seven-kan frontage. Buildings corresponding to these construction conditions can be seen as Central hall and East hall in Hwangnyongsa temple.

  • 돌발홍수 예경보시스템의 입력자료로 예측강우가 활용된다. 기상청과 환경부에서는 초단기 예보의 목적으로 MAPLE(McGill Algorithm for Precipitation nowcasting and Lagrangian Extrapolation)을 생산하고 있다.

  • The primary objective of this study is to construct more simple and reasonable rheological model and propose a methodology for predicting a phenomenon of concrete creep. Deformations of concrete under sustained stress can be expressed by the sum of immediately elastic deformation, time-dependent and time-independent short-term creep, and long-term creep according to the mechanism and time-dependency. To simulate these deformations, a rheological model having six parameters was constructed. In the composing of each parameter, the microprestress-solidification theory and design model code were incorporated together with the numerical approach for the components which can not be theoretically approached. Finally, actual test data were applied in the verification of the proposed model, and suitability of the model was confirmed by comparisons with existing predicting models and design codes.

  • This study is part of the carbonation degree DB accumulation through quantitative analysis of carbonation depth, Ca(OH)2 and CO2 according to the type of finish and years of use of old concrete structures in order to predict the amount of CO2 that can be absorbed through carbonation of concrete. To this end, the depth of carbonation of the concrete core specimen is measured using an indicator, and the dry amount of water combined with CO2 in the sample is measured using a differential thermal gravimetric analyzer for samples in the carbonation area and non-carbonated area classified by the indicator, and the absorption compared to the weight of the sample. The amount of absorbed CO2 was calculated. In addition, the degree of carbonation was calculated through quantitative comparison of Ca(OH)2 in the carbonation section and non-carbonation section. In the future, we will continue to add the survey and analysis data of dismantled structures and use them as basic data for estimating the amount of carbon dioxide that can be absorbed according to the exposure conditions and years of use by concrete mix.

  • This research aims to understand the specific aspects of the utilization of the pavilion by a group of governors in the mobile office system of the early Joseon Dynasty through two diaries written in the 16th century. Miam Diary by Yu Hee-chun, a governor of Jeolla Province, and Jaeyeongnam Diary by Hwang Sa-woo, a chief aide of Gyeongsang Province, are important historical materials that reveal the utilization patterns of the pavilion by the governor, who was the decision maker and main user of governmental pavilions. As a result of analyzing the two diaries, the utilization of governmental pavilions was concentrated in the hot summer season, May to July, which is closely related to the perception of temperature and humidity. While pavilions are mostly used as office and banquet places, some notable usage patterns have been identified. When there were several governmental pavilions in a town, the order of appreciation was determined by considering the location and scenery, and the pavilions were also used as a place to encourage learning as governors taught Confucian scholars well. Governmental pavilions functioned as a device to visualize hierarchy through seating and accommodation arrangements. The authors of the diaries left comments on the famous pavilions and sometimes went to see the pavilions after asking for permission from the superior. This research is meaningful in that it reconstructed the relationship network and phases of the times of governmental pavilions scattered across the country through institutions and daily life.

  • This research interprets the unique hybridity of the pavilion architecture in the Joseon Dynasty, in which the name and form do not match and the rooms and floors are combined in various ways, through the Confucian architectural prototype Muijeongsa(武夷精舍) built by Zhu Xi(朱熹). The architectural representation of Muijeongsa, developed against the background of the mid-Joseon period of active pavilion management by Sarim(士林) groups, the spread of ondols due to the Little Ice Age, and an architectural culture following the footsteps of the Zhu Xi is likely to have influenced the perception and practice of pavilion architecture. In this research, by examining and analyzing the contents of the Muijeongsa Japyeongbyeongseo(武夷精舍雜詠幷序) containing the architectural composition of Muijeongsa, it was confirmed that different types of spaces such as Dang(堂), Jeong(亭), Jae(齋), and Gwan(館) are integrated into Muijeongsa. Based on this, the main examples of the architecture of Jeongsa in the mid-Joseon Dynasty were reinterpreted into four types from the perspective of the combination of Dang and Jeong, and the junction of Jeong and Jeongsa. Dang and Jeong were either juxtaposed as separate buildings or implemented with a relationship of inclusion within one building. And the concept of Jeong, which was considered secondary to Dang, was used as a category that was replaced with the Jeongsa itself. Lastly, the name 'Jeongsa' was used, but the location had a strong character of 'Jeong', and the architectural form adhered to the form of 'Dang', thereby exquisitely reconstructing the composition of Muijeongsa as a single building.

  • This study presents the experimental results of frost durability including resistance to freezing-thawing and surface scaling of concrete. Mixing design was proportioned with the various water-binder ratio between 0.37 and 0.47 and three different binder compositions corresponding to Type I cement without any supplementary cementitious materials(OPC), Type II cement with 50% blast-furnace slag replacement(BFS50), and ternary cement with Type III cement, 15% fly ash, and 35% slag replacement (BFS35%+FA15%). Test results showed that the mixing design with BFS50% and BFS35%+FA15% exhibited higher durability factor than that made with OPC only. Finally, the use of blend cement containing slag can be used effectively in terms of frost durability of the concrete exposed to severe condition under coastal environment like as flying salt, sea water spray, etc.

  • Recently, modular system are popular in construction fields, and they are increasing their marcket share. To compare modular units, bolting and welding are most popular methods. However, the temperature around a welded part might be over than 1,300$^{\circ}C and the composite member might be exposed tp the direct welding heat about 20,000$^{\circ}C. This high welding heat makes decrease of the concrete strength. If the concrete strength seriously decreases, it can affect the behavior and safty of a structure. On this study, To prevent of concrete strength decreases by welding heat, we suggested method of to insert between steel and concrete.
