  • As the importance of entrepreneurship education has increased, universities are conducting various programs related to entrepreneurship for university students. Despite these efforts, however, the demand for a competency-oriented entrepreneurship education program to realize the entrepreneurial idea is not fully reflected. Therefore this study is conducted to provide strategies for the development, management, and facilitation of the entrepreneurship education program of university through the analysis of difference between the level of importance and level of performance for the development of entrepreneurship of university student. Through the literature review, entrepreneurship is classified the step of confirming entrepreneurial intention, drawing up a start-up model, and planning a venture start-up. This study is analyzed through the t-test to identify difference between level of importance and level of performance with the 15 items of 7 competencies. This study is used Borich needs analysis and the Locus for Focus Model to know the priority of education needs for the development of entrepreneurship of university student. As the result of study, university students' entrepreneurial competences between level of importance and level of performance are shown significantly different among 15 items, the first priority is 6 items and the second priority is 2 items using Borich needs analysis and the Locus for Focus Model. Four competence clusters such as self-analytic competence, ability of eliciting entrepreneurial idea, ability of analyzing idea validity, and business-plan presentation competency are suggested with the combination of first and second priority competence. • As the digital transformation accelerates, the demand for professionals with competencies in various digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data is increasing in the industry. In response, the government is developing various educational programs to nurture talent in these emerging technology fields. However, the lack of a clear definition of competencies, which is the foundation of curriculum development and operation, has posed challenges in effectively designing digital technology education programs. This study systematically reviews the definitions and characteristics of competencies presented in prior research based on a literature review. Subsequently, in-depth interviews were conducted with 30 experts in emerging technology fields to derive a definition of competencies suitable for technology education programs. This research defines competencies for the development of technology education programs as 'a set of one or more knowledge and skills required to perform effectively at the expected level of a given task.' Additionally, the study identifies the elements of competencies, including knowledge and skills, as well as the principles of competency construction. The definition and characteristics of competencies provided in this study can be utilized to create more systematic and effective educational programs in emerging technology fields and bridge the gap between education and industry practice.

  • Great attention has been paid to absorptive capacity (AC) as a means of technological innovation. However, few developing countries have demonstrated real success in the development of their technologies and economies. Global issues such as climate change, contagious disease, etc. require more active cooperation between developing and developed countries. This paper makes the novel argument that the donor's transplanting capacity (TC) should be developed and coevolved in concert with the recipient country's AC. Review of the literature shows that AC depends on a prior knowledge base and an intensity of effort. In this article, we analysed the case of KIST and suggest that codification of development experience, localization of innovation capacity, and donor committment comprise the core elements of TC. Nonaka (1994) argued that interaction between tacit knowledge and explicit knowledge can synergize to increase the overall store of available knowledge. Development experience, which leans heavily toward tacit knowledge, should be transformed into explicit knowledge for more efficient technology diffusion. The technological environments of recipient countries vary from those of their donors, which is why innovation capacity should conform to local conditions in order to make transplantation smoother. Donor committment is also critical for successfully transmitting valuable experience.

  • This study is intended to determine that there is a casual relationship between technological innovation capability and new product development performance in small and mid-sized venture companies, and that the introduction of collaboration as a means to step up technological innovation capability will improve new product development performance. To achieve this, a survey was carried out to employees who are engaged in R&D work for small and mid-sized venture companies based in Korea, and the results were analyzed by regression analysis. The findings showed that technology strategy, technology learning and open innovation belonging to technological innovation capability in small and mid-sized venture companies had an effect on new product development performance. In other words, the selection of collaboration as a wider array of core strategies on new product development performance showed that collaboration was a strategy affecting new product development performance. In addition, the moderating role of technological innovation capability in boosting new product development performance through the introduction of collaboration showed that common collaboration had a positive effect on stepping up technology strategy, and collaboration as a core strategy had a positive effect on the size of new product development performance by strengthening technology strategy and open innovation.
