In the Korean seas, Sea Surface Temperature (SST) and Thermal Fronts (TF) were analyzed temporally and spatially during 8 years from 1993 to 2000 using NOAA/AVHRR MCSST. As the result of EOF method applying SST, the variance of the 1st mode was 97.6%. It is suitable to explain SST conditions in the whole Korean seas. Time coefficients were shown annual variations and spatial distributions were shown the closer to the continent the higher SST variations like as annual amplitudes. The 2nd mode presented higher time coefficients of 1993, 94, and 95 than those of other years. Although the influence is a little, that can explain ElNINO effect to the Korean seas. TF were detected by Sobel Edge Detection Method using gradient of SST. Consequently, TF were divided into 4 fronts; the Subpola. Front (SPF) dividing into the north and south part of the East sea, the Kuroshio Front (KF) in the East China Sea (ESC), the South Sea Coastal Front (SSCF) in the South sea, and the Tidal Front in the West sea. TF located in steep slope of submarine topography. The distributions of 1st mode in SST were bounded in the same place, and these results should be considered to influence of seasonal variations. To discover temporal and spatial variations of TF,SST gradient values were analyzed by EOF. The time coefficients fo the 1st mode (variance : 64.55%) showed distinctive annual variations and SPF, KF, and SSCF was significantly appeared in March. the spatial distributions of the 2nd mode showed contrast distribution, as SPF and SSCF had strong '-' value, where KF had strong '+' value. The time of '+' and '-' value was May and October, respectively. Time coefficients of the 3rd mode had 2 peaks per year and showed definite seasonal variations. SPF represented striking '+' value which time was March and October That was result reflected time of the 1st and 2nd mode. We can suggest specific temporal and spatial variations of TF using EOF.

There is to be virtually impossible to solve the very large digits of prime number p and q from composite number n=pq using integer factorization in typical public-key cryptosystems, RSA. When the public key e and the composite number n are known but the private key d remains unknown in an asymmetric-key RSA, message decryption is carried out by first obtaining ${\phi}(n)=(p-1)(q-1)=n+1-(p+q)$ and then using a reverse function of $d=e^{-1}(mod{\phi}(n))$. Integer factorization from n to p,q is most widely used to produce ${\phi}(n)$, which has been regarded as mathematically hard. Among various integer factorization methods, the most popularly used is the congruence of squares of $a^2{\equiv}b^2(mod\;n)$, a=(p+q)/2,b=(q-p)/2 which is more commonly used then n/p=q trial division. Despite the availability of a number of congruence of scares methods, however, many of the RSA numbers remain unfactorable. This paper thus proposes an algorithm that directly and immediately obtains ${\phi}(n)$. The proposed algorithm computes $2^k{\beta}_j{\equiv}2^i(mod\;n)$, $0{\leq}i{\leq}{\gamma}-1$, $k=1,2,{\ldots}$ or $2^k{\beta}_j=2{\beta}_j$ for $2^j{\equiv}{\beta}_j(mod\;n)$, $2^{{\gamma}-1}$ < n < $2^{\gamma}$, $j={\gamma}-1,{\gamma},{\gamma}+1$ to obtain the solution. It has been found to be capable of finding an arbitrarily located ${\phi}(n)$ in a range of $n-10{\lfloor}{\sqrt{n}}{\rfloor}$ < ${\phi}(n){\leq}n-2{\lfloor}{\sqrt{n}}{\rfloor}$ much more efficiently than conventional algorithms.
These experiments were carried out to analyse the correlation among various soil parameters which characterize the mechanical properties of the disturbed and undisturbed soil, and to analyse Atterberg Limits for the basin of downstream of Hanriver Keum river, Nakdong river, and Asan bay. 1. Wet density of soil was the lowest in the basin of Nakdong river which contains the highest amount of clay minerals among the soil samples, and was increased in the order of Han river, Keum river and Asan bay. It was appeared that the unit weight of natural soil was changed in accordance with the clay mineral content which determines the moisture content. 2. Curved relationship was recognized, showing that dry density of soil was decreased with increasing the moisture content. Soils from the basin of Asan bay were appeared to have the highest dry density and the next was those of Keum river, the second lowest Han river, and the lowest Nakdong river. 3. When the liquid limit of soils was over 40 percent, their plastic index was above the A-line of plastic chart. 4. Between dry density and void ratio of soils, a curved relationship was found, in which dry density was decreased as void ratio increased, and the differences between them became greater in soils containing higher amount of coarse grained soil. Decreasing tendency of dry density in accordance with increase of void ratio was the most significant at Asan bay which contained the lowest clay content, and other decreasing order of dry density was Keum river, Han river, and Nakdong river.
Changes of the biomass, net primary productivity and P/B ratio during abandoned field succession after shifting cultivation were investigated in Pyoungchang, Gangwon-Do, Korea. Aboveground standing biomass of herb species showed the maximum value (3.8 ton/ha) in the 5 year old-field, and decreased thereafter. Litter dry weight was depicted as a parabola form showing the gradual increment during the first 50 years and slight decrease thereafter. Basal area tended to increase logarithmically during abandoned field succession. Tree density showed the gradual increment during the first 15 years and decreased thereafter by the self-thinning process. In the later successional stage (80 years old-field), the shoot density distribution of the tree species by DBH class showed the reverse J shaped curve and Quercus mongolica dominated. Total standing biomass increased slowly in the earlier successional stages and later successional stages, and increased rapidly during the mid-successional stages ($10{\sim}50$ years old-field). Total standing biomass in the 5, 10, 20, 50 and 80 years old-fields were estimated 5, 14, 75, 251 and 373 ton/ha, respectively. Annual net primary productivity were depicted as a parabola form showing the gradual increment during the first 35 years and declined thereafter. The increment rates of the annual net primary productivity in the earlier successional stages showed the higher value than mid-successional stages. The annual net primary productivities in the 5, 10, 20, 35, 50 and 80 years old-field were estimated 8.6, 9.3, 12.9, 15.1, 13.7 and 3.6 ton/ha/yr, respectively. The estimated P/B ratio tended to decrease exponentially during abandoned field succession. The estimated P/B ratio in the 5, 10, 20, 50 and 80 years old-field were 0.60, 0.39, 0.19, 0.06 and 0.01, respectively. These results were fairly in accordance with the bioenergetics model during the forest succession projected by Odum(1969).

Finding a new set of features representing textured images is one of the most important studies in textured image analysis. This is because it is impossible to construct a perfect set of features representing every textured image, and it is inevitable to choose some relevant features which are efficient to on-going image processing jobs. This paper intends to find relevant features which are efficient to textured image segmentation. In this regards, this paper presents a different method for the segmentation of textured images based on the Gabor filter. Gabor filter is known to be a very efficient and effective tool which represents human visual system for texture analysis. Filtering a real-valued input image by the Gabor filter results in complex-valued output data defined in the spatial frequency domain. This complex value, as usual, gives the module and the phase. This paper focused its attention on the phase information, rather than the module information. In fact, the module information is considered very useful at region analysis in texture, while the phase information was considered almost of no use. But this paper shows that the phase information can also be fully useful and effective at region analysis in texture, once a good method introduced. We now propose "phase derivated method", which is an efficient and effective way to compute the useful phase information directly from the filtered value. This new method reduces effectively computing burden and widen applicable textured images.
With the development of the 4th industrial, research is being conducted to prevent diseases and reduce damage in various fields of science and technology such as medicine, health, and bio. As a result, artificial intelligence technology has been introduced and researched for image analysis of radiological examinations. In this paper, we will directly apply a deep learning model for classification and detection of pneumonia using chest X-ray images, and evaluate whether the deep learning model of the Inception series is a useful model for detecting pneumonia. As the experimental material, a chest X-ray image data set provided and shared free of charge by Kaggle was used, and out of the total 3,470 chest X-ray image data, it was classified into 1,870 training data sets, 1,100 validation data sets, and 500 test data sets. I did. As a result of the experiment, the result of metric evaluation of the Inception V3 deep learning model was 94.80% for accuracy, 97.24% for precision, 94.00% for recall, and 95.59 for F1 score. In addition, the accuracy of the final epoch for Inception V3 deep learning modeling was 94.91% for learning modeling and 89.68% for verification modeling for pneumonia detection and classification of chest X-ray images. For the evaluation of the loss function value, the learning modeling was 1.127% and the validation modeling was 4.603%. As a result, it was evaluated that the Inception V3 deep learning model is a very excellent deep learning model in extracting and classifying features of chest image data, and its learning state is also very good. As a result of matrix accuracy evaluation for test modeling, the accuracy of 96% for normal chest X-ray image data and 97% for pneumonia chest X-ray image data was proven. The deep learning model of the Inception series is considered to be a useful deep learning model for classification of chest diseases, and it is expected that it can also play an auxiliary role of human resources, so it is considered that it will be a solution to the problem of insufficient medical personnel. In the future, this study is expected to be presented as basic data for similar studies in the case of similar studies on the diagnosis of pneumonia using deep learning.
Seasonal variation in lipid classes and fatty acid compositions of total lipid (TL) of 12 species of Korean fish muscle, which caught off Tongyeong coast of the Southern Sea (Nam-Hae) from Mar, 1995 to Feb. 1996, was studied. Triglyceride (TG) and free sterol (ST) were prominent lipid classes of neutral lipid in all fish species. The percent of TG rose with increasing TL content by season, but that of ST fell. The prominent lipid classes of phospholipid were phosphatidylcholine (PC) and phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), percents of PC and PE were higher in the fish containing lower lipid. The prominent fatty acids in all fish species were 16:0 ($19.5\pm1.99\%$) 22:6 (n-3) ($16.6\pm7.46\%$), 18:1 (n-9) ($15.8\pm8.39\%$), 20:5 (n-3) ($8.46\pm3.70\%$), 16:1 (n-7) ($7.06\pm3.08\%$) and 14:0 ($3.80\pm2.15\%$). With increasing TL content by season, the percent of monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA) such as 18:1 (n-9) and 16:1 (n-7) rose, but those of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) such as 22:6 (n-3) and 20:5 (n-3) fell. There was a negative correlation between the percent of the MUFA and the PUFA of total fatty acids. However, the PUFA content increased as the TL content increased by season. On the other hand, the percent of 16:0 almost unchanged by seasonal variation of lipid content.

This study was carried out to develop a water quality simulation model for the evaluation of an ungauged watershed. For this purpose, the WASP5 model was selected and modified. The model consists of three sub-models, LOAD-M, DYN-M, and EUT-M. LOAD-M, an empirical model, estimates runoff loadings using point and non-point source data of villages. The Geum River Estuary watershed was selected to calibrate and verify the Modified-WASP5. The LOAD-M model was established using field data of water quality and quantity at the gauging stations of the watershed and was applied to the ungauged watersheds, taking the watershed properties into consideration. The result of water quality simulation using Modified-WASP5 shows that the observed average BOD data from Gongju and Ganggyeong were 2.6 mg/L and 2.8 mg/L, and the simulated data were 2.5 mg/L and 2.4 mg/L, respectively. Generally, simulation results were in good agreement with the observed data. This study focused on formulating an integrated model for evaluating ungauged watersheds. Even though simulation results varied slightly due to limited availability of data, the model developed in this study would be a useful tool for the assessment and management of ungauged watersheds.
