This study applies the concepts of sociotechnical theory and role theory in order to verify the effects of stress (that is, technostress) created from information and computer technology (ICT) concerning role stress and performance. We suggest diverse perspectives concerning the elements leading to technostress along with the stress-creating process of ICT among organizational members. The following four major hypotheses are proposed: (1) Technostress is positively related to role stress (e.g., conflict and overload of roles), adverse psychological outcomes, and adverse IS use related outcomes, (2) Role conflict is positively related to adverse psychological outcomes and adverse IS use related outcomes, (3) Role overload is positively related to adverse psychological outcomes and adverse IS use related outcomes, and (4) Innovation support will play as a moderator between technostress, roles tress, adverse psychological outcomes and adverse IS use related outcomes. A partial least square (PLS) with data gathered data from ICT users of organizations was used to verify the proposed hypotheses. The results supported our claims excluding the hypothesis associated to the relationship between technostress and role stress. We suggest a theoretical implication based on the verification of technostress related to the current concept of stress experienced by individuals within organizations. We also propose that a practical implication concerning the opposite effect of technostress, can be utilized as a method of reducing role stress, and suggests a diagnostic tool for assessing the degree of technostress within organizations.

연구결과: 연구대상자의 work-school to family 갈등은 평균 $2.77{\pm}0.93$점, family-school to work 갈등은 $3.27{\pm}0.77$점, family-work to school에 대한 역할갈등은 $3.08{\pm}0.83$점이었다.
This study was carried out to investigate the mediating role of parental satisfaction on the relationship between work-mother role conflict and parenting stress of employed mothers. Participants were 515 mothers of children aged 2 to 5 recruited from companies in Gyeonggi Province, Korea. Survey was conducted from February 15 to March 20, 2013. Structural equation modeling was used to examine direct and indirect effects among study variables. As a result, work-mother role conflict and parental satisfaction directly influenced parenting stress. Work-mother role conflict directly influenced parental satisfaction. The indirect effect of work-mother role conflict, with parental satisfaction as a mediator was verified on parenting stress. Therefore, to relieve the parenting stress of employed mothers, diverse programs to improve parental satisfaction need to be utilized along with decreasing work-mother role conflict through the settlement of child care policy.
The main purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among hoteliers' emotional labor like surface acting (SA) and deep acting (DA), job stress such as physical stress (PS) and mental stress (MS), and extra-role behavior (EB). Using data from 264 surveys collected from five-star hotels' employees, the author empirically tested the research model. Main results on applying structural equation analysis are as follows. (1) SA had positive impacts on both PS and JS while DA was negatively significant on only MS. (2) ER was influenced by DA while there was no significance on SA. (3) MS was negatively related to ER, and PS was also significantly effective; however, the estimate of PS indicated a positive correlation unlike theoretical prediction. In conclusion, a discussion about the interesting phenomenon was held based on self-rewarding acts.

Catholic nuns are under a lot of role stress while living as a monk, which leads to psychological burnout, causing negative effects. This study confirmed which sub-factors of the role stress of Catholic nuns has a greater effect on psychological burnout, and analyzed whether resilience has a moderating effect on psychological burnout. As a result of a mail survey of 234 catholic nuns, first, role stress could be confirmed according to the period of catholic nuns' life in the capital and the roles of internal and external apostles. In particular, when the life of the capital was less than 20 years, they felt different from the role ambiguity. Second, it was found that the role stress of catholic nuns had an effect on psychological burnout, and role ambiguity, role conflict, and role all had an effect on psychological burnout. In particular, role ambiguity was found to have the greatest effect, causing greater psychological burnout of role ambiguity than role. Third, in the relationship between role stress and psychological burnout, resilience had a moderating effect This study suggests that reducing the role ambiguity of nuns is the most important, and that it is necessary to improve resilience as a way to reduce psychological burnout. Above all, it is meaningful in that it targets nuns who are difficult to access easily.
