Competency Theory and Practice for Developing a Extension Competency Model (농촌지도 역량모델 개발을 위한 이론과 실제)

  • 본 연구는 국내 농촌지도인력 역량모델 개발을 위한 기초 연구로서 역량의 정의, 역량모델 개발방법, 인적자원개발을 위한 역량모델 활용 현황에 대한 문헌을 고찰하였다. 역량은 사용되는 상황이나 맥락에 따라서 다양하게 정의되고 있어 사전적인정의와 다양한 연구자들의 역량의 정의에 대한 이론, 특정한 조직이나 직업군에서 사용되고 있는 역량의 정의를 비교 분석하였으며, 결과적으로 역량은 개인의 역할 수행과 직무성과와 상관관계가 있으며 훈련과 개발을 통하여 개선되어질 수 있는 관련된 지식, 기술, 태도의 집합체로 정의하였다. 역량모델을 개발하는 방법도 다양한데, 초기단계에서는 탁월한 직원과 일반직원의 특정한 업무추진사례를 인터뷰와 관찰을 통하여 분석하여 이들 간에 차이를 가져오는 특성이나 행동을 추출하는 직무역량진단법이 주로 활용되었다. 이 방법에는 많은 비용과 시간이 소모되어 이를 간소화한 여러 가지 방법이 개발되었다. 또한 기존 직원 특성 분석보다 다양한 정보원과 미래에 대한 가정을 활용하여 바람직한 직무 결과와 역량, 역할을 추출하는 방법도 개발되었으며 직업이 빠르게 변화하는 시대적인 특성상 이런 방법의 활용이 확대되고 있다. 이런 다양한 방법 중 역량 모델을 활용할 직무나 조직의 특성에 맞는 방법을 선택하여 적용하여야 한다. 역량모델을 활용한 인적자원개발을 통하여 기업뿐만 아니라 정부조직에서도 효율적인 직원 역량 개발, 개인과 조직의 성과 향상 등의 효과가 나타나고 있으며, 앞으로 농촌지도조직에서도 지도인력 역량 개발과 지도사업의 효율성을 향상을 위하여 역량모델을 개발 활용할 필요성이 있다.

Development of Competency Model for Beginning Teachers in Home Economics (가정과 초임교사 역량모델 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a 'Competency Model for Beginning Teachers in Home Economics'. The study was conducted in a total of 4 stages(preparation of competency model development stage, materialization stage, validity verification stage, and competency diagnosis stage), and the results of the study were as follows. First, the first tentative competency model was derived through the literature study, and the secondary tentative competency model was derived through an FGI. The validity of the secondary tentative competency model was verified by 15 experts and the competency groups, competencies, and competency definitions from this study were found to have content validity. Second, the competency diagnosis was conducted for a total of 222 beginning teachers in Home Economics. As a result, a total of 7 competencies were derived as the 'top priority competencies' that are of first priority for beginner teachers in Home Economics. The final competency model which was developed by reflecting the research results, was composed of 4 competency groups and 22 competencies and 22 competency definitions. The competencies of each competency group were presented in the order that beginning teachers thought were important. This study is meaningful in that it used an FGI and competency diagnosis to identify beginning teachers' perceptions and demands of the competencies and reflect the results on the competency model development.

A Case of Developing a Competency model for the revision of the dentistry education curriculum on the competency-based (역량기반 치의학 교육과정 개편을 위한 역량모델 개발 사례)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a competency model for the revision of the dentistry education curriculum based on the competency of W College of Dentistry. For this, this study made progress of the competency model development procedure in three stages. The preparation stages of the competency model was developed by performing an analysis about the awareness investigation of the members, and the development stages were progressed through the competency level and behavioral index, etc. The content validity was verified by an expert for the evaluation stage. As a result, content validity index was high with CVI of .91 and a competency model was developed with the 4 key competencies, which are the common competencies of the university linked with job competency, the major competency. This study holds significance by the fact that the competency model development case developed through this procedure provided basic data for research that requires the development of the competency model and the education curriculum revision based on the competency of W College of Dentistry is planned to also be applied.

  • Under the global economic competition, company competitiveness depends on creating high performance through effective human development. It is also a tendency to analyze organization members'competencies and outcomes, develop competency model, and apply the model to developing and managing human resource in each organization. Therefore, this study figures out the present condition of development of competency model and its application to examine the degree to which the competency model, which has been introduced to Korean companies for the use of competency diagnosis of members, is being utilized. For this purpose, survey items were created by expert council and advisory committee and survey was conducted for Korean corporations. The result shows that most of the companies, regardless of size and type, develop their own model by referring to outside models, or use models developed by consulting company lead. Therefore, it is urgent for the companies to develop model appropriate for the peculiarity of each company. Second, while the main reason to introduce competency model was to reinforce workers' competency, models developed have not widely utilized in HRM overall. There is a need to overcome a limit of utilization of models. Third, Majority responded that they, regardless of size and type, upgraded models or did not upgrade at all due to change of work environment. There is also a need to systematize follow-up care of the models. This is a primary research to examine the present condition of development of competency model and its application in company so that it can be used as springboard to study in-depth inside condition of Korean company using competency model and condition of particular positions of company members.

  • 해상교통관제사의 역량기반 교육훈련의 실시를 위해 개인의 역량을 파악하고 조직이 요구하는 수준에 대하여 개인에게 필요한 맞춤형 교육을 실시하는 것은 해상교통안전을 증진시키고 조직 내 전략적 인적자원관리를 위해 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 신임 해상교통관제사의 역량기반 교육훈련 과정 개발을 위한 기초연구로서 국가직무능력표준(NCS, National Conpetency Standards)과 IALA 권고서 V-103/1에서 제시된 해상교통관제사의 직무역량을 통합하여 하나의 역량모델로 구성하고자 하였다.

The Development of Competency Model for teacher of informatics in secondary education (중등 정보교사의 역량모델 개발)

  • Recently in order to ensure future competitiveness in schooling a paradigm shift which focuses on key competency is demanded. In these circumstances, there are lots of researches on competency in other subjects. However, in informatics the number of researches relate to competency is lacking. Thus, the purpose of this study is to develop competency model for teacher of informatics in high school. For achieving this purpose, we develop research methods and procedures, and conduct several researches such as Focus Group Interview and surveys. Overall research process of this study is as follows: First, we develop competencies of informatics teachers, which consist of 6 categories, 17 competencies, and 66 behavioral indexes as a draft. Second, we verify the content validity of the competencies through FGI, and revise the competencies into 5 categories, 11 competency-units, and 159 behavioral indexes. Third, we conduct a survey for verification of the revised content validity again to informatics teachers, professors and researches. As a result, the major findings of the survey reveal that the Conbarch's ${\alpha}$ of each competency-units is over .9, and that the appropriateness of all items is over 3.5. According to this result, we confirm our competency model for teacher of informatics in secondary education.

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to draw up sensory integration intervention competency model for occupational therapist and was to confirm a competency model through validation. Methods : We conducted literature review, expert opening survey, and expert focus meeting to draw up draft competency model. And then, we carried out Delphi survey twice and consulted an expert to confirm the sensory integration intervention competency model for occupational therapist. Results : The sensory integration intervention competency model for occupational therapist developed in this study was structured into 4 competency cluster, 15 competency, 60 competency indicators. 4 competency clusters had expertise, professionalism, interpersonal skills, and personal characteristics. Conclusion : The competency model revealed in this study can be used as basic critical data to foster development of competency based curriculum of Korean Academy of Sensory Integration (KASI).

  • The purpose of this study was to discuss the cultural competency model which can be applied for all the fields in one's life and to develop the cultural competency of media part for school education, lifelong education, and corporate education. To achieve this purpose, the cultural competency model of media part was developed through literature review, panel workshop with high-performers of media part, and experts verification. In the result of this study, core performance of media part was identified. They were improvement of work efficiency, possibility of creative design, change of media context, increase of understanding and participation to social culture, improvement of relationship skill, increase of chance of self-examination, and self-satisfaction. It was 62 that The cultural competencies which were needed to achieve these core performance, then, finally the definition and standard of behaviors of each competencies were drawn and the cultural competency model was proposed.

  • This paper investigates the effects of R&D capability, manufacturing capability, understanding of the Biz model on performance of Korean start-up companies, especially the moderating effects of manufacturing capability and understanding of the Biz model. We analysis 1103 Korean start-up companies based on "2019 Survey of Korea Venture Firms" As a result, the manufacturing capability and employee's unnderstanding the Biz-model have the positive relationship with company performance. Especially, we found that 'employee's unnderstanding the Biz-model' moderates the relationship between R&D capability & performance positively.

  • Many companies in Korea have developed job competency models and are utilizing them for the purpose of training and management of employees. However many of them are unable to be utilized efficiently through their own job competency model because the company failed to reflect what happens in the real work place in the model or the model itself is not concrete enough to be applied practically. Thus, in this study, the current status of Korean companies which had developed their own job competency model were investigated and the subsequent development of training system which is based on the model were developed. By result of the survey, about 43.5% of the company, which has more than 400 employees, have developed job competency models and 31.7% of them haven‘t been able to develop training system based upon the model due to the lack of concreteness of their model. To overcome this contradiction, we developed web 2.0 based job competency modeling method where each individuals in the organization themselves develop job competency as opposed to an expert oriented developing method. The result of this study is that web 2.0 based job competency modeling method is superior to any another modeling in an accuracy of competency, an acceptance of competency, and an usefulness of competency description.
