다공성 고분자 박막을 사용한 백색 유기발광소자의 광학적 특성

  • 유기 발광 소자는 차세대 디스플레이 소자와 조명 광원으로서 많은 응용성 때문에 활발한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 백색광을 구현하는 대표적인 방법으로는 밴드갭이 큰 고분자 물질에 염료를 넣는 방법, 적 녹 청을 순차적으로 증착하는 방법을 사용하지만 인가 전압의 증가 및 효율 저하, 유기물질의 수명감소, 색 안정성 감소, 제조공정의 복잡화의 문제가 발생된다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위하여 발광효율 및 안정성이 향상된 유기발광 재료 개발, 다층 이종구조 및 형광/인광성 물질의 도핑에 대한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 이와 더불어 기존의 수직 적층 구조에서 벗어난 평행하게 적 녹 청을 배열한 백색 유기 발광 소자 및 색변환 물질을 사용한 백색 유기발광소자가 제시되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 고분자 물질의 용해도가 다른 선택적 식각 방법을 이용하여 제조 공정이 간단하며 동일평면에서 적색 및 청색을 발광하여 백색을 발생하는 백색 유기발광소자를 제작하였다. 두 가지 유기물을 일정 성분비로 용매에 용해하여 적색 발광 고분자 발광층을 제작하였다. 이렇게 형성한 박막층을 한 가지 유기물만을 선택적으로 용해시켜 다공성 고분자 박막층을 형성 한 후 열 진공 증착법에 의해 청색 빛을 내는 저분자 유기물을 증착하여 적색과 청색이 동시에 발광하는 백색 유기 발광 소자를 제작하였다. 다공성고분자/저분자 층이, 수직 적층된 구조와 비교하였을 때 수직 적층된 구조는 높은 highest occupied molecular orbital 준위를 가진 저분자층으로 인해 적색에서 청색 발광층으로 정공의 주입이 일어나지 않는다. 그러나 적색과 청색이 평행한 적층 구조를 가진 발광소자인 경우 정공이 적색층과 청색층에 동시에 주입되기 때문에 문턱전압의 감소하고 백색의 빛을 발광하였다.

The Stabilization of Lactic Acid Bacteria, Bacillus polyfermenticus KJS-2 (유산간균인 Bacillus polyfermenticus KJS-2의 안정화)

  • Bacillus polyfermenticus KJS-2 (Bp2) was isolated from $Bispan^{(R)}$, a commercially available probiotics consisting of more than 4 strains. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of three-layer coating on the stabilty of Bp2. Bp2 was microencapsulated with sodium alginate using an air atomizer. The Bp2 loaded pellets were also coated with HFP-chitosan and HPMCP for oral delivery system. When compared to the uncoated Bp2, the survival of the three-layer coated Bp2 increased to approximately 63% (p<0.01) in a 30% ethanol solution, 54% (p<0.05) in an artificial gastric juice (pH 2), and 53% (p<0.05) in the bile acid (pH 5). When coated beads were stored at $100^{\circ}C$ and $130^{\circ}C$, Bp2 in coated beads was very stable (p<0.01) compared to uncoated Bp2.

Stability Evaluation of Rear-Parapet Caisson Breakwaters under Regular Waves by Numerical Simulation (수치해석을 통한 규칙파를 받는 후부 패러핏 케이슨 방파제의 안정성 평가)

  • In this study, using the CADMAS-SURF model, the characteristics of the wave pressures and the wave forces were analyzed according to the installation position of the parapet on top of the caisson, and the stability evaluation was carried out using estimated wave forces for the design wave condition. Numerical results show that adopting the rear-parapet reduces the front maximum wave pressures and wave forces, and the maximum wave pressure acting on the rear-parapet increases slightly compared to the front parapet, but the wave force acting on the rear-parapet has little effect on the stability of the breakwater due to the phase difference with the wave force acting on the front of the breakwater. In addition, impulsive wave pressures did not occur, as Yamamoto et al. (2013) pointed out the problem of the rear-parapet breakwater. As a result of the stability against sliding and overturning, it was estimated that the target safety factor of 1.2 could be secured by the self-weight of 13% less than the case of the front parapet. At this time, the maximum ground pressure was also reduced by 30%, and the applicability of the rear-parapet structure to the actual site was evaluated as high.

  • When vertical shafts are constructed in soft clay with low strength, there is a risk of basal heave, which causes the excavation surface to heave due to the low bearing capacity of the ground against the imbalance of earth pressure at the excavation surface. Methods of deriving a safety factor have been proposed to evaluate the stability against the basal heave. However, there are limitations in that it is difficult to accurately evaluate the heave stability because many assumptions are included in the theoretical derivation. In this study, assuming that a circular vertical shaft is constructed in soft clay, the existing safety factor equation proposed through a theoretical approach was supplemented. Bearing capacity according to the shaft geometry, inhomogeneity of the soil, and the effect of soil plug were considered theoretically and applied in a previous safety factor equation. A three-dimensional numerical analysis was conducted to simulate the occurrence of basal heave and review the supplemented equation through various case studies. Several series of case studies were conducted targeting various factors affecting heave stability. It was verified that the additionally considered characteristics were properly reflected in the supplemented equation. Furthermore, the effects of each factor constituting the safety factor equation were examined using the results of the numerical analysis performed by simulating various cases. It was confirmed that considering the undrained shear strength increment according to depth had the most significant effect on the calculation of the safety factor.

A Study on the Potential Vegetation Recovery according to the Environment and Type of Tunnel Entrance and Exit (고속도로 터널 입·출구부 유형과 주변 환경에 따른 식생복구 잠재성에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to classify, evaluate and grade the existing highway tunnels to increase landscape and natural statistics keeping the structural safety about tunnel gates area and induce the ones that will be constructed in the future by drawing the improvements and restoring the techniques as an environment-friendly. To examine the types of tunnel gate area, total 54 tunnels were investigated by selecting Gyeongbu Expressway, Yeongdong Expressway, and Jungang Expressway. Tunnel entrances and exit ports were classified as a Wall-closed type and Protruding type, which is based on tunnel gate type. Vegetation Landscape types were classified as Multilayer-Same as the surrounding landscape_(MS), Multilayer-Difference of surrounding landscape_(MD), Single layer-Same as the surrounding landscape_(SS), Single layer-Difference of surrounding landscape_(SD), and a Desolate type which based on vegetation layers and environment-friendly. Potential vegetation recovery was identified based on the structural stability and revegetation potential of the tunnel. The factors include the structural stability of the slope height and slope gradient were selected. Revegetation potential was identified as a growth potential. This factor was used in the step to classify vegetation recovery potential of a tunnel. The result, which investigated the types of tunnel entrances and exit parts has found that the most typical in 33 places was a Wall closed type with 61.1% of the total ones. The case of vegetation landscape types was created but different from the ones surrounding it with 85.2% of the total ones. It is judged that the currently constructed vegetation of tunnel entrance and exit parts had put convenience on the safety and management before landscape consideration. In addition, tunnel entrance and exit parts with excellent potential for vegetation recovery were all Protruding type. In addition, it is judged that slope stability can easily obtain growth. Therefore, entrance and exist of the highway tunnels, which will be constructed in the future, should reflect location and the result of the natural and ecological survey in design by performing it in advance and their types, which minimize the damage area range, should be applied to the local characteristics suitably. In addition, the ecologically healthy tunnel construction should be done by introducing active vegetation recovery techniques based on its safety.

A Study on the Stability of Embankment Due to the Construction of Embankment Combined Use Road (제방겸용도로 건설에 따른 제방 안정성 해석에 관한 연구)

  • This study analyzes the change of stability of embankment due to the construction of embankment combined used road with two different construction phases. The stabilities have been checked both in the phase of earth banking for a road construction and in the phase of the application of the traffic roads(DB-24). In both cases the factor of safety has been found higher than 1.3 which is the general criterion of the safety of an embankment. The results indicate that the safety of an embankment due to the construction of embankment combined use road is assured, and thus, it is thought that the construction of embankment combined use road can be considered for cutting down on expenses of construction sites for a road construction. However, the pre-examination of stability due to the construction should be carried out because it decreases the factor of safety of an embankment. From this study, it has been found that the factor of safety was dropped most when the water level rose in the transient flow. The result indicates that the stability analysis of a river embankment where the water level changes frequently should be carried out in the condition of transient flow. It is recommended that the inner side of an embankment should have a slope of 1:2 which is identical with the slope of the existing embankment. In addition, the factor of safety also can be decreased due to the traffic loads, and therefore, the effect should also be considered after the construction of embankment combined used road limiting the traffic loads.

The Design and Implementation of the Reliable Network RAM using Compression on Linux (리눅스에서 압축을 이용한 안정적인 네트웍 램의 설계 및 구현)

  • Traditional operating systems use a virtual memory to provide users with a bigger memory than a physical memory. The virtual memory augments the insufficient physical memory by the swap device. Since disks are usually used as the swap device, the cost of a page fault is relatively high compared to the access cost of the physical memory. Recently, numerous papers have investigated the Network RAM in order to exploit the idle memory in the network instead of disks. Since today's distributed systems are interconnected with high-performance networks, the network latency is far smaller than the disk access latency In this paper we design and implement the Network RAM using block device driver on Linux. This is the first implementation of the Network RAM on Linux. We propose the new reliability method to recover the page when the other workstation's memory is damaged. The system using the Network RAM as the swap device reduces the execution time by 40.3% than the system using the disk as the swap device. The performance results suggest that the new reliability method that use the processor more efficiently has the similar execution time with others, but uses smaller server memory and generates less message traffic than others.

  • 고주파 고투자율 자심재료를 이용하여 비접촉식 커플러를 제조하여 고주파대역의 신호전송 특성을 평가하였다. 고주파 임피던스 매칭을 통해 고주파 대역에서 비접촉식 커플러의 신호전송 특성을 향상시킬 수 있었고, air gap의 형성으로 포화전류가 300A 이상이고 $2{\sim}40 MHz$의 주파수 범위에서 $-3{\pm}2dB$의 신호전송 특성을 나타내는 비접촉식 커플러를 제조할 수 있었다. 또한 1:1의 권선비가 1:2보다 주파수 안정성이 우수하였고, 1:2는 저주파용 커플러에서 우수한 특성을 보일 것으로 평가되었다.

An Evaluation of the Structural Stability of a Clip Type Prefabricated Greenhouse under Strong Wind and Heavy Snow Conditions (조립식 클립형 비닐하우스의 강풍 및 폭설시 구조 안정성 평가)

  • Numerical studies were performed to evaluate the structural safety of a greenhouse under both snow and wind loads. In the case of a wind load, fluid-structure interaction (FSI) method was used to consider the local pressure distributions on the greenhouse-induced by aerodynamic characteristics. The results showed that the maximum stress and deformation occur near the junction of pipe supports and rafters of the roof, where connecting clips are installed. Moreover, the wind load is a more severe condition than a snow load. Overall, these results will be used to design a prefabricated connecting clip with easy installation and low maintenance.

Characteristics and Stability of Compositional Convection in Binary Solidification with a Constant Solidification Velocity (일정한 응고속도를 갖는 2성분 응고에서 조성 대류의 특성 및 안정성)

  • In binary solidification compositional convection in a porous mushy layer influences the quality of the final products. We consider the mushy layer solidifying from below with a constant solidification velocity. The disturbance equations for the mushy layer are derived using linear stability theory. The basic-state temperature fields and the distribution of the porosity in the mushy layer are investigated numerically. When the superheat is large, the thickness of the mushy layer is relatively small compared to the thickness of the thermal boundary layer. With decreasing the superheat the critical Rayleigh number based on the thickness of the mushy layer increases and the mushy layer becomes stable to the compositional convection. The critical Rayleigh number obtained from the continuity conditions of temperature and heat flux at the mush-liquid interface is smaller than that from the isothermal condition at the upper boundary of the mushy layer.
