한국 반도체관련 산업의 사업장 안전 분위기와 근로자들의 안전행동에 관한 실증적 연구 (An Empirical Study on the Safety Climate and Worker's Safe Work Behavior in Semiconductor Industry Related Work Site in Korea)

  • The Semiconductor industry in Korea has achieved a great contribution to the growth of its economy for the last 20 years with its product export ranked to #1 nowadays. However, the working environment in semiconductor industry is always exposed to a potential risk of critical safety issue for workers with many kinds of utilities used such as toxic chemicals, gases, high vacuum and high voltages of electricity. This study is focused on empirical research to find out the factors on safety climate and to examine the relationships of safety climate and safe work behaviour in the work site of Korea semiconductor industry. As a result of simulation, a strong positive relationships and safe work behaviour have been identified in this study. Its result and implications has been discussed and suggested further studies on its limitation from this study.

안전현장을 가다 - 밝은 분위기가 사고예방의 첫걸음

  • 스마트시대라고 불리는 현재, 우리네 생활에서 반드시 필요한 것은 무엇일까. 대부분의 사람들은 전화, 인터넷, TV 등을 가장 먼저 손꼽을 것이다. 이런 것을 이용하기 위해서 일반 사용자들은 어떤 통신회사를 이용할지 고민을 하고, 회사를 선택해 설치를 의뢰하게 된다. 그러면 담당기사가 찾아와 기술적인 부분을 해결해주고 사용하는데 불편함이 없는 자세한 설명을 해주는 것을 듣게 된다. 바로 이런 업무를 담당하는 곳이 (주)ITS중부다. (주)ITS중부는 종합정보통신 회사인 olleh kt의 출자회사로 인터넷, 휴대전화, TV, 집전화, 인터넷전화 등의 olleh상품에 대한 개통과 마케팅을 담당하고 있다. 이곳은 지난 2007년 창립된 신생회사지만 현재 본부에만 660명, 25개 협력회사에서 557명 등 총 1,200여명의 직원들이 근무하고 있을 정도로 성장했다. 이 회사의 눈에 띄는 점은 근로자가 이처럼 많은데도 창립부터 현재까지 무재해를 이어오고 있다는 것이다. 이곳이 어떤 안전활동을 펼치고 있기에 무재해가 계속되고 있는지 살펴봤다.

  • This current research investigated whether job stress mediates the relationship between physical environment and safety behavior of members in organization. Furthermore, we hypothesized that safety climate functions as moderator between physical environment-job stress link. In order to examine the hypotheses, 870 employees in various fields of companies were sampled. Using structural equation modeling(SEM), we conducted moderated mediation model analysis which cab elaborately test the significance of our hypotheses. The results showed that job stress mediated the link between physical environment and safety behavior of members. Moreover, the relationship between physical environment and job stress was moderated by safety climate. The implications and limitations of our study and suggestions for future research were discussed.

안전분위기-안전사고의 관계 및 인적요인과 물적요인의 상호작용효과 (The relationship between safety climate and accidents, and personal-physical factors' interactional effect)

  • Since Zohar(1980) emphasized the influence of social, organizational, and psychological context in occupational safety and health study, the research in this area tends to be emphasizing the influences of personal and physical interaction. With this research trend, this paper is to examine the relationship between safety climate model and safety accident, and the interactional or moderating effect of personal and physical factor on the above relationship. Author conducted a survey to 292 manufacturing workers in construction industry, and the chief results of statistical analysis are as follows : 1) management involvement, safety education, precaution activities, and safety system have negative effects on safety accident, 2) a-type personality has interactional effect on safety accident with communication, precaution activities, and safety system. 3) physical job load has interactional effect on safety accident with precaution activities, and safety system.

스트레스 반응이 안전행동에 미치는 효과: 안전 분위기의 중재효과 (The Effects of Stress Response on Safety Behavior : Moderating Effect of Safety Climate)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of stress response on safety behavior and to explore moderating effect of safety climate between stress response and safety behavior. 224 workers were asked to respond to the questionnaires that measured various demographic variables, stress response, safety climates and safety behaviors. A hierarchical regression was conducted to identify variables that had significant relationships with safety behavior and to examine moderating effect of safety climate between stress response and safety behavior. Results indicated that the depression response significantly predicted safety behavior. It was found that the safety climate was also a significant predictor for safety behavior. In addition, safety climate had a moderating effect on the relation between depression and anger responses and safety behavior.

  • With Zohar(1980)'s research on safety climate and industrial safety, occupational safety and health literatures begin to emphasize the influence of organizational context. Based on this research trend, this paper tried to review the relationship between individual/ organizational factors and occupational accidents. Based on the responses from 294 manufacturing workers, this paper reviewed the relationships among safety climates, safety performance, and age. The results of statistical analysis showed that all safety climate factors have affirmative effects on safety participation and safety attitudes negative effect on accident number, and job load affirmative effect on accident number. Job load and management commitment showed interactive effects on accident number with age.

외식업체 근로자의 내부마케팅과 식품 안전분위기의 관계 및 고용형태의 조절효과 (The relationship between internal marketing and food safety, and the moderating effect of employment type in food service industry)

  • This paper reviewed the relationship between internal marketing(management support, education, pay system, internal communication, employment security) and food safety climate(prevention, superior attitude, work condition), and the moderating effect of employment type(permanent or temporary employees) in food service company. Based on the responses from 304 responses, the results of hierarchical multiple regression analysis showed that 4 factors(management support, education, internal communication, employment security) effect positively on food safety climate(prevention, superior attitude, work condition). The positive effect of internal communication on superior attitude and work condition appeared to be more positive in permanent employees than in temporary employees. And the results of t-test analysis showed that permanent employees perceived more positively all internal marketing factors(management support, education, pay system, internal communication, employment security) and food safety climate(precaution, superior attitude, work condition) than temporary employees.

조직의 안전 분위기가 근로자의 직무태도에 미치는 영향 (The impact of safety climate on job satisfaction, intention to turnover and organizational citizenship behavior)

  • Data were collected from employees(N=155) working in manufacturing industry to assess the impact of safety climate on job satisfaction, organizational citizenship behavior, and intention to turnover. Subordinate dimensions of the safety climate measured in our study were management value, immediate supervisor, safety communication, safety training, and safety practice. The results show that management value and immediate supervisor, of safety climate's dimensions, impact on job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior. Intention to turnover was influenced by only immediate supervisor.

Neal, Griffin, and Hart 안전분위기 모형의 실증적 적용에 관한 연구 (Empirical Study Based on the Neal, Griffin, and Hart's Safety Climate Model)

  • Zohar(1980) emphasized the influence of social, organizational, and psychological context in occupational safety and health study. With this research trend, Neal, Griffin, and Hart(2000) developed a sequential safety climate model. In this paper, author examined the usability of their model the relationships among safety climates, safety knowledge, safety motivation, and safety performance(safety compliance and safety participation). The author conducted a survey to 207 manufacturing workers, and the chief results of statistical analysis are as follows : 1) the leadership has positive effects on safety knowledge and motivation, 2) the precaution activities has only positive on safety knowledge, 3) the safety system has only on safety motivation, 4) the safety knowledge and motivation have positive effects on safety compliance and participation.

씽크홀(SINKHOLE)과 부력방지 대책인 '영구배수 공법'과의 상관관계 (An Analysis iff the Mutural Relation between Sinkhole and 'Permanent under Draingage System' as A Measure of Non Floating)

  • 최근에 국내에서 입법된 "지하안전관리에 관한 특별법"의 지하안전영향평가 등에서 지하매설물 및 굴착공사 관리의 중요성을 강조하고 있지만, 아직까지는 지하를 개발함에 있어 지반의 안전과 관련된 사항은 미흡한 실정으로 도심지 지반침하( Sinkhole) 현상이 매년 증가하고 있다. 그리고 지반침하(Sinkhole)는 발생이 될 경우 인명피해는 물론 도로나 주변 건물들에 막대한 피해를 줄 수 있는 소지가 충분한 대상으로 사료됨에도 불구하고 이러한 현상을 건설현장에서 심각하게 받아들이는 분위기는 어느 곳에서도 감지되지 않는다. 다만 정부부처나 공공기관에서 국회차원의 지대한 관심에 부응하여 이에 대해 광범위한 연구와 조사에 막대한 예산을 투입하여 다방면에서 진행되고 있는 것으로 파악되고 있다. 또한 이러한 연구결과의 자료를 근거로 하여 지반침하 사고의 주요 원인을 조사해본 결과 상하수도관 손상과 무리한 인접굴착공사 및 대부분의 대형건축공사 현장에 채택되고 있는 부력방지 대책의 일환인 영구배수공법의 무분별한 적용을 들 수 있었다. 이러한 상황에서 그 중 비용과 난이도를 고려현장에서 용이하게 저감할 수 있는 방법인 영구배수공법을 선정하여 영구배수공법의 이론적 고찰과 공학적 타당성(구조체 부상방지 안전성 검토기준)을 연구하여 무분별한 영구배수공법 적용으로 지반침하(Sinkhole)가 발생하는 것을 막아 인명피해와 도로나 구조물의 안전성을 확보하고 나아가 영구배수공법 적용으로 항구적 발생하는 천문학적인 유지관리비의 절감이 목적이다.
