The Development of Ergonomics Cockpit Design Program Based on the Military Aircraft (군용기 조종실 설계 프로그램 개발)

  • One of the most important works in the development of military aircraft is to construct and utilize the various technical data and information needed in the design, analysis and evaluation under integrated system structure. A vast and various data in oder to optimize cockpit design is needed in geometric & arrangement design, vision analysis and escape system design. In addition, the application of ergonomics cockpit design concept based on the sorts of human elements and anthropometric data as design consideration for pilots is required. To accomplish above these activities, the data gathered and formed through the aircraft development program was become database and developed by tool to be able to support ergonomics cockpit design work.

u-Disaster Prevention System based Real-Time Fire Monitoring in a Building Facility (u-방재시스템 기반의 시설물 실시간 화재 모니터링)

  • The building infrastructures such as high-rise buildings, shopping malls, exhibition centers, etc. are becoming larger in magnitude and more complex in complexity. Considering a large number of tenants and visitors are staying in these facilities, it is upper most important to keep those in safe from fire outbreak. In this paper, a u-Disaster Prevention System has been presented to provide effective fire evacuation when fire breaks out in building infrastructures. The ubiquitous sensor network (USN) technology was applied to detect heat and smoke from fire outbreak. The information then is transmitted wirelessly to a host computer. The tenants and visitors residing in the facility can evacuate following the instruction that is displayed in LED sign boards of the u-Disaster Prevention System. A case study shows that the ubiquitous environment can help people evacuate faster in time, shorter in distance with the assistance of the u-Disaster Prevention System.

  • Enlargement and complexification of current structures increase the expected casualty in case of accident in those e.g., fire. In that case, there only have been basic instructions such as announcement of that situation, alarm bell, exit signs, etc. but any guidance to lead to proper escape route was not been provided so far. To tackle the problem, several schemes have been proposed. However, various risk factors were not considered and route discovery performance must be improved to be applied to structures. Therefore, this paper proposes an optimal route discovery system for emergency escape from disaster situations which takes into account various possible risk factors and enhances the searching efficiency by using the $A^{\ast}$ algorithm. Performance evaluation by computer simulation shows that the proposed scheme effectively leads to safe escape route.

  • When a fire breaks out, it is frequent that large sized miserable death is happened by seriousness of poisonous gas and peculiarity of space because the building construction is recently more complex and diverse. So early countermeasure in preparation for evacuation escape linked directly with a loss of lives is pressing. Because escape light that mark fixing one-way of existing way is not efficiently extricated refugees from dangers when a fire breaks out, construction of system that can extricate refugees from dangers and suppress early a fire by grasping correctly fire point is required urgently. When a fire breaks out, all escape lights connected with fire sensor and reception group which have ill aiming in these point will lead people to safe emergency entrance of opposite direction of place that a fire is broken out after being calculated the direction and speed of flame and smoke. There is the purpose of my research in development of artificial intelligent directional escape light that can mark direction to most suitable pull-out and assist in early extinguishing a fire.

Anterior Cervical interbody Fusion with Cervical Spine Locking Plate (경추 물림 금속판을 이용한 경추 전방추체간 유합술)

  • Objectives: Anterior approach to achieve arthrodesis of the cervical spine has become a widely accepted and often-used approach since its earliest reports by Bailey and Badgley, Smith and Robinson and Cloward. However, anterior interbody fusion in the presence of the posterior instability may be complicated by the bone graft dislodgement, kyphotic defomity or nonunion. As an attemp to prevent this undesirable complication, additional methods such as skeletal traction, halo appratus or even posterior fusion has been utilized. Therefore, The cervical spine locking plate(CSLP) with the anterior intervertebral body bone grafting provide immediate cervical stabilization and widely successful in achieving fusion. Material and methods: This study analysed 14 patients who underwent a single anterior procedure and application of CSLP for the treatment of the cervical spinal disorder. Eleven patients were disc herniations and three patients were traumatic lesion. The average age of the patient was 47 years and the mean follow up periods was 20 months ranging from 13 to 27 months. Results: Ambulation was started 2nd day after the operation with the aid of the Philadelpia orthoses. Bone union was observed 13 cases on average 12 weeks after operation. The one case was nonunion with plate breakage without clinical symptom. Conclusion: Anterior fusion with CSLP are thought to be a safe and valuable method for treating cervical spine disorder.

  • 최근 산업의 고도화에 따른 건물의 고층화로 하나 또는 그 이상의 승강기를 보유한 건물들이 증가하고 있다. 이러한 건물에서 화재와 같은 긴급한 재난 발생 시 피난계단을 이용하여 탈출해야 한다는 상식에도 불구하고 본능적으로 승강기를 이용하여 대피하려는 경향이 뚜렷하다. 화재상황에서 승강기 이용 시 독성의 연기 유입으로 피난 활동이 어려우며, 전원 차단으로 정지 시 연기에 질식사할 확률이 급증한다. 따라서 승강기 내부로의 고립이나 승강기를 이용한 피난활동 시 연기로부터 안전한 호흡장치의 개발을 위한 연구를 진행하고자 한다.

  • An intra-articular lumbar facet joint block with a local anesthetic and asteroid is a reliable method of diagnosis and therapy for low back pain and/or sciatica caused by lumbar facet arthropathy under fluoroscopy. We injected 40 mg of methylperdnisolone acetate and 1 ml of 0.5% bupivacaine into each lumbar facet joint to 14 patients. The results are as follows: 1) Excellent pain relief in 2 patients (14.29%) 2) Good pain relief in 6 patients (42.85%) 3) Fair pain relief in 4 patients (28.57%) 4) Non effective pain relief in 2 patients (14.29%).

  • 항공기 추락 시 충돌충격단계에서 사상자가 가장 많이 발생하는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 대부분의 경우, 승객들은 두부손상으로 의식을 잃게 되어 비상탈출에 실패하여 사망에 이르게 된다. 이에 대한 대응책으로 항공기 제작사들은 내구성이 강화된 항공기 좌석을 설계 및 제작하여 설치하고 있다. 객실에서는 승객들이 충격방지자세를 취함으로써 부상을 최소화할 수 있다. 승객들에 대한 충격방지자세 안내는 모든 항공사가 시간적 여유가 있는 비상상황에서만 객실승무원이 안내방송과 함께 시범을 보이도록 절차가 수립되어 있다. 그러나 갑작스런 사고의 경우 승객들은 충격방지자세에 대한 정보를 전달받지 못한 상태에서 사상의 위험에 직면하게 된다. 본 논문은 SHEL 모델을 적용하여 승객과 사상자발생 환경, 승객과 충격방지를 위한 안전절차, 승객과 승객안전정보 전달매체, 승객과 객실승무원등의 상호작용에 내재된 위해요소를 체계적으로 규명하고 객실안전에 대한 법규 및 절차 등의 개정을 제시함으써, 항공기사고로 인한 사상자 발생에 대한 근본적인 대안을 제시하여 항공안전 증진에 기여하고자 한다.

기능성과 경제성을 겸비한 세종지하차도 설계

  • 교통량이 많은 도심지내 장대 지하차도 건설은 교통정체 해소에 기여를 하지만 초기 공사비가 많이 소요되는 단점이 있다. 또한, 화재등 유고시 이용자의 안전을 최우선으로 고려되어야 한다. 즉, 장대 지하차도 건설에 있어서 경제성과 안전성이 함께 만족할 수 있는 건설 방안이 필요하다. 세종지하차도는 이러한 문제점을 극복하고자 다음과 같이 지하차도의 환기방식 및 단면, 포장형식, 사고 예방 및 발생시를 대비한 종합방재시스템을 구축하였다. $\cdot$환기방식은 종류식 환기방식의 경제성과 횡류식 환기방식의 제연성능을 겸비할 수 있는 조합형 환기방식과 Duct Arch 단면을 적용하여 공사비 절감 및 운영시 유지관리비를 획기적으로 절감하였다. $\cdot$지하차도 포장형식은 화재시 내화성이 우수하며 유독가스 발생이 없는 HPC(고성능 콘크리트 포장) 포장을 적용하여 이용자의 안전을 최우선으로 고려하였고 일반 아스팔트 포장 및 배수성 아스팔트 포장에 비해 우수한 성능과 공용수명을 가진 공법을 적용함으로서 유지보수비용의 절감을 가능하게 하였다. 또한, 콘크리트포장의 단점인 소음발생을 최소화하기 위해 타이닝과 그루빙을 적용하였다. $\cdot$지하차도내 화재 등 유고시 신속한 대피가 가능하도록 피난 연락문 간격을 167m 간격으로 설치하고 비상탈출계단 6개소를 확보하였다. 또한 노약자 및 환자의 지하차도 외부로 대피를 돕기 위해 비상엘리베이터 3개소를 설치하는 등 사고발생 시 종합적으로 대처할 수 있는 시스템을 마련하여 적용하였다.

A study on the estimation of safety in long railway tunnel (장대 철도터널에서의 방재 안전성 평가에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, as the construction of new railway and the relocation of existing line increase, tunnel structures get longer. The railway fire accidents in long tunnel bring large damages of human life and disaster. The interest on safety in long tunnel has been growing and the safety standard for long tunnels is tightening. For that reason, at the planning stage of a long tunnel, the optimum design of safety facility for minimizing the risks and satisfying the safety standard is required. For the reasonable design of a long railway tunnel considering high safety, qualitative estimation for tunnel safely is required. In this study, QRA (Quantitative Risk Analysis) technique is applied to design of a long railway tunnel for assuring the safety function and estimating the risk of safety. The case study for safety design was carried out to verify the QRA technique for two railway tunnels.
