Image Augmentation of Paralichthys Olivaceus Disease Using SinGAN Deep Learning Model (SinGAN 딥러닝 모델을 이용한 넙치 질병 이미지 증강)

  • In modern aquaculture, mass mortality is a very important issue that determines the success of aquaculture business. If a fish disease is not detected at an early stage in the farm, the disease spreads quickly because the farm is a closed environment. Therefore, early detection of diseases is crucial to prevent mass mortality of fish raised in farms. Recently deep learning-based automatic identification of fish diseases has been widely used, but there are many difficulties in identifying objects due to insufficient images of fish diseases. Therefore, this paper suggests a method to generate a large number of fish disease images by synthesizing normal images and disease images using SinGAN deep learning model in order to to solve the lack of fish disease images. We generate images from the three most frequently occurring Paralichthys Olivaceus diseases such as Scuticociliatida, Vibriosis, and Lymphocytosis and compare them with the original image. In this study, a total of 330 sheets of scutica disease, 110 sheets of vibrioemia, and 110 sheets of limphosis were made by synthesizing 10 disease patterns with 11 normal halibut images, and 1,320 images were produced by quadrupling the images.

  • The tripod shafts of constant-velocity joint are used in both the trains KTX and KTX-sanchon. It is an important component that connects the motor reduction unit and the axle reduction unit in a power bogie. The tripod shaft not only transmits drive and brake torque in the rotational direction, but also slides in the axial direction. If the drive system is loaded with an excessive torque, the fuse part of the shaft will be fractured firstly to protect the other important components. In this study, a rig was developed for conducting torsion tests on the tripod shaft, which is a type of mechanical fuse. The tripod shafts were subjected to torsional fracture test and torsional fatigue test on the rig. The weak zone of the tripod shaft was identified, and its fatigue life was predicted using finite element analysis (FEA). After analyzing the FEA results, design solutions were proposed to improve the strength and fatigue life of the tripod shaft. Furthermore, the deterioration trend and time for failure of the tripod shaft were verified using the hysteresis loops which had been changed with the advancement of the torsional fatigue test.

A Novel Printable Time-temperature Integrator with Anthocyanidin, a Natural Coloring Matter (천연 색소인 안토시아니딘 기반의 인쇄형 시간-온도이력 지시계 개발)

  • A novel printable time-temperature integrator (TTI) composed of a natural coloring matter, anthocyanidin, was developed. The anthocyanin was biochemically modified to change in color over week scale, compared to the original anthocyanin over month scale change. The anthocyanin extracted from strawberry was converted to its aglycone, anthocyanidin, by the treatment with ${\beta}-glucosidase$. The print paste was composed of the freeze-dried powder of anthocyanidin, pullulan, glycerol and distilled water, which was screen-printed. The TTI performance were examined in terms of kinetics and temperature dependency. The activation energy of anthocyanidin TTI was 86.92 kJ/mol. Compared with the activation energy of foods, the applicable food groups were found. Applicable food groups were chilled meat products and fish. The major benefits of the TTI were the printability to be practical in use and the eco-friendliness with the natural pigment.

  • A two-chip humidity sensor system has been developed which consists of a capacitive sense element die and a CMOS interface chip. The sense element was fabricated using thin polyimide films on (100) silicon substrate and showed excellent linearity(0.72%FS), low hysteresis (<3%) and low temperature coefficient(-0.0285 ~-0.0542pF/K) over a wide range of relative humidity and temperature. The capacitance-relative humidity characteristic exhibited a drift of 2~3% after 9 weeks of exposure to 4$0^{\circ}C$/90%RH. The signal-conditioning circuitry was fabricated using an 1.2- ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, one poly double metal CMOS process. The measured output voltage of the sensor system was directly proportional to relative humidity and showed good agreement with theory.

Ethanol extract of Bojungbangam-tang (EBJT) prevents Cisplatin-induced Apoptosis in mice. (시스플라틴의 세포고사에 대한 보정방암탕 에탄올 추출물의 효과)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate cisplatin-induced apoptosis by ethanol extract of bojungbangam-tang (EBJT). Methods : To evaluate of anti-apoptic effects of EBJT, we examined several kinds of cell populations such as $CD4^{+}$ T cells, $CD8^{+}$ T cells and macrophages in spleen. Result : 1. EBJT inhibited cisplatin-induced cell death in spleen. 2. EBJT inhibited the death of $CD4^{+}$ and $CD8^{+}$ T cells. 3. EBJT slightly recovered the number of macrophages by cisplatin. Furthermore, cisplatin-induced upregulation of class II were inhibited by EBJT. Conclusion : EBJT prevented cisplatin-induced cell death, which could provide a clinical basic for side effects of anti-tumor therapeutics.

  • This paper proposes the adaptive fuzzy control system using the microprocessesor for high precision control of automation systems which exist non-linearities such as saturation, relays, hysteresis, and dead zones. The proposed system which provides the improvement in terms of the control region in transient and adaptive control, first used the frequence-locked mothed driving a system to generate a output voltage proportional to the frequency diffierence of relnence input signal and feedback signal for fast transient response,, and when the error reaches the preset value, used the adaptive fuzzy logic for precision control. The theoretical and experimental studies have been carried out. The presented results from the above investigation show considerable improved performance in the precision control of servo control systems.

  • This writing presents a structural methodology that conceptualize' Fransis Ford Coppola's perspective and adaptation style of his screenplay derived from the author Mario Puzo's original novel "The Godfather". This paper is divided into two different stages: The first stage, namely the "formal stage", encapsulates the analysis of narration and exploring the effects of structural transformations, such as deleting, creating and modifying from the novel to the screenplay. The second stage, entitled "semantic stage", is concerned with ascertaining the difference between the structure itself and the adapter's perspective on the original novel. The opening sequence of will be used as a case study to explore these issues in examining its adaptation style specifically while also offering a template for adapting a screenplay from a novel.

  • Kribensis, Pelvicachromis pulcher is a teleost belonging to Cichlidae. The oogenesis was investigated by light microscope. The ovary was located between intestine and air bladder, a yellowish and ellipsoidal shape with the major axis 20mm and the minor axis 5 mm. Cytoplasm of oogonia in early stage was basophilic and many nucleoli were located at inside of nuclear membrane. In primary oocytes, yolk vesicles were distributed only in the marginal area and egg envelope was not formed on the outside of an egg. In secondary oocytes, the egg envelope was formed and yolk vesicles in the cytoplasm were increased than the earlier stage. The basophilic substance of cytoplasm was changed to acidic. Some yolk vesicles started forming small yolk mass except the surrounding nucleus. In case of matured egg, size of egg were increased. The yolk vesicles were changed to yolk mass in accordance with development. The yolk mass contained crystal-like structures. In conclusion, the oogenesis of Pelvicachromis pulcher was summarized by the increase in cell size, the formation and the accumulation of yolk, and the decrease of basophilic substance in the cytoplasm. The oogenesis of Coreoleuciscus splendidus is similar with other teleost. But there were differences in distribution of yolk vesicle and yolk mass containing cristal-like structures.

  • 다층 퍼셉트론은 다양한 응용 분야에 성공적으로 적용되고 있는 대표적인 신경회로망 모델이다. 그러나 다층 퍼셉트론의 학습에서 나타나는 플라토에 기인한 느린 학습 속도와 지역 극소는 실제 응용문제에 적용함에 있어서 가장 큰 문제로 지적되어왔다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 여러 가지 다양한 학습알고리즘들이 개발되어 왔으나, 계산의 비효율성으로 인해 실제 문제에는 적용하기 힘든 예가 많은 등, 현재까지 만족할 만한 해결책은 제시되지 못하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 다층퍼셉트론의 베이시스 함수로 사용되는 시그모이드 함수를 보다 일반화된 형태로 정의하여 사용함으로써 학습에 있어서의 플라토를 완화하고, 지역극소에 빠지는 것을 줄이는 접근방법을 소개한다. 본 방법은 기존의 변형된 가중치 수정식을 사용한 학습 속도 향상의 방법들과는 다른 접근 방법을 택함으로써 기존의 방법들과 함께 사용하는 것이 가능하다는 특징을 갖고 있다. 제안하는 방법의 성능을 확인하기 위하여 간단한 패턴 인식 문제들에의 적용 실험 및 기존의 학습 속도 향상 방법을 함께 사용하여 시계열 예측 문제에 적용한 실험을 수행하였고, 그 결과로부터 제안안 방법의 효율성을 확인할 수 있었다. Abstract A multilayer perceptron is the most well-known neural network model which has been successfully applied to various fields of application. Its slow learning caused by plateau and local minima of gradient descent learning, however, have been pointed as the biggest problems in its practical use. To solve such a problem, a number of researches on learning algorithms have been conducted, but it can be said that none of satisfying solutions have been presented so far because the problems such as computational inefficiency have still been existed in these algorithms. In this paper, we propose a new learning approach to minimize the effect of plateau and reduce the possibility of getting trapped in local minima by generalizing the sigmoidal function which is used as the basis function of a multilayer perceptron. Adapting a new approach that differs from the conventional methods with revised updating equation, the proposed method can be used together with the existing methods to improve the learning performance. We conducted some experiments to test the proposed method on simple problems of pattern recognition and a problem of time series prediction, compared our results with the results of the existing methods, and confirmed that the proposed method is efficient enough to apply to the real problems.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a structural analysis system of LNG pump tower structure. The system affords to build optimized finite element model and procedure of the pump tower structure. The pump tower structure is one of the most important components of LNG (liquefied natural gas) carriers. The pump tower structure is subject to sloshing load of LNG induced by ship motion depending on filling ratio. Three typer of loading components, which are thermal, inertia and self-gravity are considered in the analysis. The finite element analysis is performed with ANSYS commercial code. The failure of each members can be evaluated of API unity and punching shear in ABS rule. The GUI is newly developed using Tcl/tk script language. All these design and analysis procedures are embedded in to the analysis system successfully.
