  • The purpose of this study was to predict the factors which are related to the intention and behaviour for breast self-examination (BSE) of middle aged women using the theory of planned behavior (TPB). A survey using a structured questionnaire was conducted wih 217 middle aged women. BSE behaviour was assessed at 1-month follow-up. The overall fit of the structural model to the date was acceptable(${\chi}^2$=1246.6(p<.001), ${\chi}^2$/df=2.72, CFI=.831, TLI=.817, RMSEA=.089). The BSE behavior rate within one month was 56.2%. The TPB explained 43.9% of the variance in BSE intentions and 10.9% of the variance in BSE behavior. The subjective norm(${\beta}$=.364, p<.001) and the perceived behavioral control(${\beta}$=.553, p<.001) both positively influenced the behavioral intention, and the behavioral intention(${\beta}$=.768, p<.01) positively influenced the behavior. This study shows the model's applicability in explaining BSE behavior of middle aged women, and suggests that health intervention programs should focus on strengthening the intention for the promotion of BSE behavior.

  • This study recognizes that the externalizing problem behaviors of child with disabilities are the result of the social interaction between mother and child, and empirically verifies its systematic causal structure and multidimensional influence relationship. It was attempted to derive practical implications that can help the smooth normalization process of children's families. Therefore, 135 children with disabilities and their mothers selected by convenience sampling were targeted, and in the relationship between maternal overprotective parenting and externalizing behaviors of child, effortful control was used as a mediating variable, and defense style of mothers and children was used as a moderating variable. A Conditional Process Analysis(CPA) that can verify the moderated mediation Effect was performed by establishing a research model. As a result of the analysis, first, the overprotective parenting behavior of mother was statistically significant in both direct and indirect effects in increasing externalizing behaviors of child, and the mediation effect by effortful control was also statistically significant. Second, it was confirmed that the moderated mediation effect of effortful control by the mother's defense style was statistically significant, and the moderated mediation effect of effortful control by the child's defense style was not statistically significant. Based on the above results, assuming the importance of the influence of maternal parenting, a direct strategy for change in maternal overprotective parenting, child's Practical implications of parallel strategies with the tendency toward effective control and suboptimal strategies through the application of mothers' coping strategies were discussed.

  • This study was conducted to identify job stress, nursing work environment, and turnover intention for nurses at COVID-19 dedicated hospital, and to identify factors influencing turnover intention. From September 1 to September 27, 2022, 144 nurses at a COVID-19 dedicated hospital in the I area were collected. The collected data used the SPSS Statistics 23.0 program. As a result of the study, the intention to turnover according to general characteristics showed significant differences in work experience (F=11.20, p<.001), and by position (F=4.09, p=.009). In addition, turnover intention showed a significant correlation with job stress (r=.561, p<.001) and nursing work environment (r=-.382, p<.001). The factors influencing turnover intention were job stress (β=.46, p<.001), work experience of more than 11 years (β=.34, p<.001), work experience of 3-10 years (β=.20, p=.022), nursing work environment (β=-.22, p=.001), and 43.9% of explanatory power. Accordingly, in order to reduce the intention to turnover of nurses at hospitals dedicated to COVID-19, it is necessary to create measures to reduce job stress and an efficient nursing work environment considering the characteristics of work by career in infectious disease situations.

  • This study aims to examine the influence of the philanthropic experience on the giving intention. There are many precedent studies arguing this influence but the empirical results are mixed or sometimes contradictory. We stipulate that this could be resolved by introducing the mediating variables such as trust and positive attitudes towards NGOs. Results of the empirical analysis based on the 189 person living in Seoul area show that philanthropic experience directly influence the giving intention, and it exert an influence on the giving intention directly through the trust and positive attitudes towards NGOs. And it is shown that the indirect effect produced by the mediating variables and process in less than the direct effect. Results support precedent studies emphasizing the important role of the philanthropic experience in the giving intention, and shed light on the process through which philanthropic experience determines the giving intention. A practical implication might be that we have to do a great effort to experience philanthropic activities in one's early age, and a theoretical implication be that researchers need to pay attention to find another mediating variables having explanatory power.

  • The current study aims to address the relationships among conflict, person-organization fit, and workers' turnover intention. Specifically, it aims to examine whether person-organization fit mediates the relationship between conflict in team and turnover intention, also trust in leader moderates the relationship between person-organization fit and turnover intention. The empirical analysis shows that conflict is positively associated with turnover intention and have a negative impact on objective-value fit. The relationship between conflict and turnover intention is mediated by the person-organization fit. Trust in leader moderates the relationship between person-organization fit and turnover intention. The findings address the issue in terms of the mechanisms between conflict-turnover intention and the importance of trust in leader for an effective management of conflict in work teams.

  • This study was attempted to identify the effect of thyroid cancer on ultrasonographic intention. Data was surveyed using interview and questionnaires by 205 subjects in a general hospital who was located in Seoul from December 13, 2010 to January 31, 2011. The results were as follows ; First, in the good self-conscious health status, 85.5% of the subjects had an intention for thyroid cancer ultrasonography according health habit was significantly higher than 70.0% of the subjects didn't have an intention for thyroid cancer ultrasonography($X^2$=6.73 p<.01). Secondly, the odds ratio of subjects with a good self-conscious health status was 2.53, had a higher intention to participate in thyroid ultrasonography than subjects with a poor self-conscious health status(95% Cl=1.39-12.7). In conclusion, we need to provide education to subjects in poorer health so that they will also participate in thyroid cancer ultrasonography. Active promotion should also be performed to elevate knowledge about the prevention of thyroid cancer.
