A Study on Satisfaction and Evaluation of Students현 Spot-Practice in Department of Food and Nutrition (식품영양학과 학생들의 현장실습 만족도 및 평가도에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to estimate satisfaction and evaluation degree of students' spot-practice in department of food and nutrition and to investigate relating factors to them for development of spot-practice Programme. The survey for analysis was conducted through the questionnaires to 229 students finished internship. Proportions of the students were 93.9% for senior, 93.9% for female. Proportions of spot-practice facilities were 38.9%, 46.7%, and 14.4% for school, business & industry, and hospital respectively. The major part of subjects (83.8%) took part in spot-practice during 2 weeks. The satisfaction scores to spot-practice were the lowest for pay, and the highest for a kind of spot-practice facilities. The evaluation scores were the lowest for 'I made a plan and prepared my work in advanced', and the highest for 'I did my best for doing my work'. The satisfaction score in hospital was significantly lower than those in school or business & industry. The satisfaction score in self-operated foodservice was significantly higher than that in contract managed one. However, there no significant differences in evaluation scores by foodsevice employment type. In the case of coincidence of area in spot-practice and residence, or facilities of spot-practice and job desired, the satisfaction and evaluation scores were significantly higher than those of others. The period of spot-practice was significantly positively correlated with satisfaction scores for atmosphere of spot-practice facilities, service and treatment for spot-practice student, while negatively correlated with evaluation score for 'I did my best for doing my work'. The spot-practice pay was significantly positively correlated with satisfaction and evaluation scores for various items. In conclusion, various factors are related to satisfaction and evaluation degree of spot-practice students, and consist concern and support from college St university, foodservice institution, and government for systematic spot-Practice are required.

The Effect of Perfectionism on Stress and Anxiety during Scaling Practice (완벽주의가 스케일링 실습 시 실습불안과 스트레스에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this Study was to examine the effect of perfectionism on stress and anxiety during scaling practice in an effort to find efficient way of helping students with getting good skills. The subjects in this study were students who practiced a scaling at the oral hygiene practice lab in the Department of dental hygiene in S college from May 1 to May 31, 2008. They were divided into four groups based on their subscales of perfectionism : mixed perfectionist group, achievement striving perfectionist group, failure avoidance perfectionist group and non-perfectionist group. The measurements used were Two-Dimensional Perfectionism Scale, Stress level, Trait anxiety, State anxiety. There were no significant differences in the stress level before practice between 4 groups. There were significant differences in trait anxiety, state anxiety, total anxiety before scaling practice between 4 groups. However, these results were due to differences between mixed perfectionist group and non-perfectionist group. After practice, total anxiety was decreased from 93.71 to 89.66 and state anxiety was decreased from 45.49 to 43.38. These results were statistically significant. In order to investigate the influence of achievement striving factor and failure avoidance factor on the change of state anxiety during the scaling practice Standard Multiple Regression were employed for the statistical analysis. Failure avoidance factor was related with the increase of state anxiety during the scaling practice. So leachers have to give all effort to reduce the anxiety of students during scaling practice and provide students with motivation of achievement.

The Efficiency of Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) as a Method of Clinical Clerkship in the Korean Ophthalmology & Otolaryngology Department (한방안이비인후과에서 임상실습 한 방법으로서 Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE)의 효용성)

  • Objectives : 본 연구를 통하여 한방안이비인후과 임상실습에서 Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) 수업의 효용성을 알아보고자 한다. Methods : 2014학년도 한의과대학 본과 4학년 학생을 대상으로 안이비인후과 임상실습의 한 방법으로 OSCE를 시행한 후, 학생들은 OSCE 수업 만족도에 관한 설문지를 작성하고 레지던트는 학생들을 평가하였다. OSCE 평가 성적과 기타 임상실습 및 필기시험 성적과의 연관성을 분석하여 OSCE 성적의 학점 부여 타당도를 살펴보았다. Results : 만족도 관련 설문 결과 총 평균점수가 4.34점이 나왔다. OSCE성적과 기타 임상실습 및 필기시험 성적과의 상관성을 pearson correlation을 통하여 살펴본 결과, OSCE성적은 임상실습 성적 및 (r=0.210, p=0.056), 필기시험 성적과 통계적으로 유의한 상관성이 없었다 (r=0.064, p=0.567). Conclusions : 위의 결과로부터 임상실습에서 OSCE 시행은 학생들의 학습 만족도를 높인다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 임상실습에서 효율적으로 OSCE를 활용하는 방안을 모색하기 위해 더 많은 연구가 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

Legal Status of Government Ships Operated for Non-Commercial Purpose in International Law of the Sea - Forcusing on Training Ship of National University (비상업용 정부선박의 국제해양법적 지위 - 국립대학 실습선을 중심으로 -)

  • Since the early 20th century, there have been reviews and legislations regarding the legal status of the Government ships operated for non-commercial purposes. In particular, as criticized in the absolute theory of immunity in conventional international law, the sovereign immunity theory has become more vital as a restrictive theory for immunity. As per the customary international law and international law of the sea, non-commercial government vessels, including warships, are provided with sovereign immunity on the sea. National universities of Korea have built and operated training ships and survey ships for educational purposes, such as training high-grade mariners and fishing practices. These training ships sail not only on the national maritime jurisdictions but also on the maritime jurisdictions of other States and the high sea. Therefore, clarifying the legal status of national university training ships is one of the important factors in international navigation according to international law. However, it is not easy to answer the question of the legal status of the training ship. Hence, this article analyzes the parameters that define the Government ship operated for non-commercial purposes and examines whether national university training ships are in line with the relevant criterion. Furthermore, the article analyzes the scope of sovereign immunity in conventional international law and international conventions and identifies the scope of sovereign immunity enjoyed by the national university training ships according to international law.

Effects of Fundamental Nursing Practice Education Applying Reciprocal Peer Tutoring on Confidence in Performance, Core Nursing Skills, and Practice Satisfaction of Nursing Students (상호동료 교수학습 기반의 기본간호학실습 교육이 간호대학생의 핵심간호술 수행자신감, 숙련도 및 실습만족도에 미치는 효과)

  • This study is a similar experimental study before and after non-equivalence control to examine the effect of fundamental nursing practice education applying reciprocal peer tutoring on confidence in performance, core nursing skills, and practice satisfaction of nursing students. Data collected by 83 people sophomore P university nursing students, the study period is from May 17 to 11 March 2019. As a results, the fundamental nursing practice education applied with the reciprocal peer tutoring method had an effect on the confidence in performance and core nursing skills of 'medium' degree of difficulty, and had a positive effect on the satisfaction of practice. In the future, this study suggests that the method of reciprocal peer teaching is extended to various practical majors and the effects of core nursing skills are tested.

The needs and effects of convergence-based simulation practice for obstetrical nursing (분만간호에 대한 융복합 기반 시뮬레이션 실습 효과 및 요구도)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the needs and effects of convergence-based simulation practice for obstetrical nursing. The study participants were 47 junior nursing students of a university in Chungnam province. Data were collected by a self-administered questionnaire from February 13 to 25, 2012. Convergence-based simulation practice for obstetrical nursing was applied 8 hours in a day for 2 days and consisted of four sessions. Self-efficacy in obstetrical nursing (t=-14.74, p<.001) and nursing skills related to obstetrical nursing (t=-17.51, p<.001) showed significant increase in the posttest and practice satisfaction was higher than practice stress. The needs of simulation practice was 7.96 out of 10 point and higher as practice satisfaction was higher. The needs of simulation practice before clinical practice was higher than simulation practice after clinical practice. These results indicate that simulation practice for obstetrical nursing can be used as the alternative for clinical practice. In addition to simulation practice should be done before clinical practice and strategies to increase the nursing student's cognition for the need of simulation practice are also needed.

Convergence Effect of Simulation on Women's Nursing Practice in Male Nursing Students (여성간호학 시뮬레이션실습의 융합적 효과: 남자 간호대학생을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of clinical practice and simulation-based practice for Women's Nursing Practice in terms of practice satisfaction, practice stress and clinical competence. The participants were male students in the second and third grades in nursing and total 63 students, 34 in the experimental group, and 29 in the control group. The experimental group participated in simulation-based practice for 6 Weeks, five hours and the control group participated in clinical practice at maternity ward for 10 days, nine hours each. The experimental group showed higher level of practice satisfaction (p<.001), practice stress (p= .048) and clinical competence (p= .030) compared to the control group. Simulation-based practice is an effective learning method for Women's nursing and can be used as the alternative for clinical practice. However, stress management strategies are needed for simulation-based practice.

  • This study aimed to investigate the current condition of student childcare training in Korea. Participants were 221 university professors, 467 childcare center directors, and 1,260 guidance teachers in Korea. They completed questionnaires the current condition of student childcare training centers, guidance teachers, student teachers, and student childcare training fees. The results showed 64.4% of these centers charged a student childcare training fee, and 35.6% of them did not charge a fee. The average student childcare training fee was 41,000 won. This study aims to offer a realistic understanding and effective information on student childcare training in Korea and to suggest practical standards for student childcare training.

Virtual Experimental Kit for Embedded System Education (임베디드 시스템 교육을 위한 가상 실습 키트)

  • Laboratory works for embedded system courses are usually performed with hardware based experimental kits that equipped with an embedded board and software development tools. Hardware-based kits have demerits such as high initial setup cost, burdensome maintenance, inadaptability to industry evolution, and restricted educational outcomes. This paper proposes using virtual experimental environments to overcome the demerits of hardware-based kits and describes the design and implementation of a simulation-based virtual experimental kit. With ARM's ARMulator, we developed the kit by adding hardware IPs and user interface modules for peripherals. The developed kit is verified with an experimental program that uses all the augmented software modules. We also ported MicroC/OS-II on the virtual experimental kit for real-time OS experiments.

  • 컴퓨터교과는 학생들의 일반적인 학업성취 개인차 요인과 더불어 필수 교과가 아니기 때문에 학교 혹은 교사마다 교육하는 내용이 상이하여 학생들이 상급학교로 진학하였을 때 학생들 간의 수준 차가 심화된다. 이러한 다양한 수준차가 있는 학생들을 교사 1인이 한정된 시간 안에 모든 학생들의 수준에 맞추어 지도하는 것은 대단히 어렵다. 또 넓은 컴퓨터실에서는 학생들의 주위가 분산될 우려가 많으므로 학생들의 행동을 수시로 관리할 필요가 있다. 이러한 컴퓨터교과 실습수업 시에는 보다 효과적인 지도방법이 요구된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터교과 실습지도 방법의 장단점을 분석하고, 컴퓨터교과 실습수업 시 널리 사용되는 시범 실습법의 단점을 보완할 수 있는 도우미학생 활용 시범 실습법을 제안하고, 중학교 컴퓨터 정규교과 시간에 적용하여 그 효과를 검증하였다. 도우미학생 활용 시범 실습법이란 교사는 실습내용을 설명하고, 모든 학생들은 교사의 설명과 동시에 실습을 하며, 도우미학생의 실습내용이 빔 프로젝트를 통해 다른 학생들에게 보여짐으로써 교사의 시범을 대신하는 방법을 말한다. 컴퓨터교과는 설명만으로도 실습 가능한 내용이 많아 이러한 지도방법이 가능하다 이 방법은 실습내용을 최소한의 작은 단계로 구분하고, 각 단계별로 교사의 설명과 개별지도, 모든 학생의 실습과 관찰이 동시에 이루어진다. 이 방법은 교사의 행동이 자유로워 설명과 동시에 개별지도가 가능해 개별지도의 확대를 가져올 수 있으며, 학생들에게 보다 많은 즉각적인 피드백을 줄 수 있으며, 학생들의 행동을 수시로 관리할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 또한 본 연구에서는 검증도구로 'html 태그' 단원 5차시 분량의 과제수행능력평가도구를 개발하여 사용하였다. 검증결과 학업성취 중하수준의 도우미학생 활용 시범 실습으로 수업한 집단은 통제반과 유의미한 차이가 없었으나, 학업성취 중상수준의 도우미학생 활용 시범실습으로 수업한 집단은 통제반에 비해 과제수행능력에 있어서 유의미한 차이를 보였다 이로써 제안한 지도방법의 효과성을 입증하였다.
