A Study on the Implementation of the Silver Internet Phone based on 13.56Mhz RFID System (13.56MHz RFID시스템을 이용한 실버 인터넷 전화 구현에 관한 연구)

  • This paper is a study on the implementation of internet phone for silver generation based on RFID system. Together with the development of internet, the commercial internet phone is being used widely. However the usage of internet phone is still not convenient with silver generation. In this paper, we use one of the internet phone type called application method and 13.56MHz RFID technology to improve the usage of internet phone. The new silver internet phone can make a phone call only by using RFID tag that has a picture or some information of callee.

Development of Solvent-Free Type for UV-Curable Silver Paste (무용제 타입 UV경화형 실버 페이스트 개발)

  • In this study, a silver paste capable of UV curing without using any solvent was developed. The viscosity and viscoelasticity of the silver paste developed as a solvent-free type were measured. And after printing the pattern by screen printing, an electrode coating film was formed by UV curing. Conductivity, pencil hardness, and adhesive force of the formed electrode coating film were evaluated. Finally, the curing characteristics of the electrode coating film were evaluated by TGA and FT-IR. Summarizing these results, in terms of conductivity, adhesion, and curing characteristics, it was found that Paste (4), that is, silver paste obtained by mixing 1.2 ㎛ spherical silver powder and 50 nm silver powder at 72:8% had the best physical properties.

Research on the Relationship between the Service Quality and Customer Loyalty of the Hair Beauty Industry for the Silver Generation : With a Focus on Relationship Quality (실버세대 헤어 미용업의 서비스품질과 고객충성도에 대한 관계성 연구: 관계품질을 중심으로)

  • The silver generation in our aging society will rapidly emergeas a new consumer group and the service industry used by silver customers will develop going forward. The beauty service sector is one of the most needed ones for the qualitative improvement of life for the silver generation. In this research, ananalysis was conducted on 244 persons of the silver generation living in Seoul, in order to examine the factors affecting the quality of the beauty service for the silver generation and their relationships with customer loyalty. For the statistical treatment of the empirical analysis, the SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 statistical programs were used. The results of the analysis showed that the service quality perceived by the silver customers who used the beauty service had significant effects on trust and flow, which are the relationship qualities, and that trust and flow had positive effects on customer loyalty. Also, it was found that, in the relationship between service quality and customer loyalty, trust had mediating effects on reliability, responsiveness, empathy, and assurance, and that flow had mediating effects on reliability, responsiveness, empathy, assurance, and tangibility. The results of this research are significant in that they present the basic data enabling the beauty industry to play an important role for the silver generation, under the present circumstances in which the beauty service industry has minimal educational programs exclusively available for the silver generation.

A Study on the Eating Behaviors and Characteristics of Consumption Propensities on Dining out as Perceived by Silver Generation in Seoul (서울지역 실버고객들의 외식식습관과 소비행동 속성에 관한 연구)

  • This study concentrated on the dining out consumption behaviors, dining out selection attributes, and changes in eating habits of silver generation. Total 216 residents in metropolitan area were employed for statistical analysing. The results are as follows. First, as the result of t-test and ANOVA showed that female and higher academic background tended to regularly take high level of fruits, vegetables, meat, and fish eating habits. These results identified that dining out culture and dietary lifestyle are closely linked. Second, as the result of difference in dining out consumption attitudes on eating habit of silver generation, consumers who have better eating behaviors tended to consider the physical environment, variety of menu, and service quality when they choose a restaurant. Third, as the result of analysis on changes in dining out consumption behavior based on eating behavior of silver consumers, groups differences were found from only the source for information on dining out business and standard variable in selection of dining out business. Fourth, physical environment, variety of menu, business quality, and service were indicated as significant selection attributes of dining out among silver peoples. Fifth, dining out consumption behaviors of silver consumers were developed through newspapers, magazines, and previous visiting experiences. In conclusion, the results of present study showed that silver consumers tend to select a restaurant based on word-of-mouth and various factors related to experiences. Hence, various promotional activities are necessary for the business succession.

  • Out of the OECD countries, Korea is showing the fastest growth of elderly population. Taking into account the rate of increase of the elderly and average lifespan, we can deduct that the future society will be an elderly society . Therefore, the market in Korea targeted to this group will quickly increase into a large market. Leading nations already into the elderly society , have actively pursued studies into silver generation product design and compared to these countries, Korea is far behind them. There is an immediate need for a detailed overall study on the design of products used daily by the elderly, This study has based its focused on the elderly society and silver generation products and was accompanied by thorough interview research method through questionnaires. The result showed that the Korean elderly were very aware about silver generation industry. However, they Pointed out that there are many Problems regarding silver generation products. Therefore, a need for a new design reflecting more of the lifestyle of the elderly is required. Also, there is an immediate need for development of more comfortable products and a well-structured system that enables easy access to these products.

  • As the aged have increased due to the progress of medical science and the low birth-rate, the various cultures and industries for them are on the rise. The aged want to enjoy the diverse social activities and the culture content for spending their spare time. But they are liable to be restricted by the activities due to the physical, psychological, and mental disorder. This paper suggests a tangible bicycle game content and interface with the function of training and improving the lower part of body that is necessary to the old people's movement. The suggested game content can attract the interest of the aged by the familiar device, bicycle, and the game design for the old people. We develop the sensory interface for augmenting the immersion in the game. The aged can enjoy their spare time doing both game and exercise through the sensory interface and the real-time display of 3D graphics.

Analysis of the Location Characteristics of Urban Silver Towns (도시형 실버타운의 입지특성 분석 연구)

  • Unlike the past, the elderly who are growing rapidly in Korea are called 'active seniors'. They prefer to live in urban silver towns despite high living cost and make their own new urban contents. The new urban contents that reflect the living characteristics of active seniors have an important impact on their choice of residential location. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the location characteristics of urban silver towns, which are preferred as the main residence of active seniors, based on the urban living contents of active seniors. The location characteristics of urban silver towns considering the urban living contents of active seniors can be classified 1) public transportation, 2) nearby arterial roads, 3) culture shopping facilities, 4) medical facilities, 5) apartment complexes, and 6) natural environments. Especially, the accessibilities of medical facilities, apartment complexes, and culture shopping facilities were the main characteristics of urban silver towns. The results of this study are expected to be helpful not only the location of urban silver towns, which is the urban new content of active senior, but also for the policy on housing for the elderly.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the motivation of using and choosing factors in credit cards. These results indicate that considerate of other people factor may emphasize the convenience and safety in using credit cards, while the leisure factor may prefer the real-worth factor as they know that the more they use, the more benefits they would get. As the personality factor and the fashion factor, we can pay much attention to the advertisements, promotions, card designs, the colors, the characters and the social positions of the card holders and that considerate other people factor may like the low annual fees and the accumulating points, buying items on the installments without paying additional interest, which had offered them cash service and card loan. The authors of this paper has suggested an information by which credit card companies can establish the strategies according to the lifestyle of the elderly in silver business market.

An Empirical Study of the Elderly's Information Literacy on Their Happiness (실버세대의 정보 활용능력이 삶의 행복감에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship of information literacy, life satisfaction, and life happiness of the silver generation, and to suggest the direction for their happy life. We conducted a questionnaire survey targeted at the Internet users of over 60 years old adults living in Daegu/Gyongbuk areas. Data were analyzed using 238 valid samples. With the results, it revealed that the silver generations' life satisfaction fully mediates the relationship between their information literacy and their life happiness. Future studies are also discussed in this paper.

  • The purpose of this research is to suggest improvement of web environment to supplement dependency of silver generation as we have aged super aged society ahead. In order to improve web environment for silver generation which has more various obstacles than common people, I examined methods to increase accessibility and usability through expansion of web interface by reinforcing contents structure and function. As a result, the try to increase web usability of web sites related to silver generation was positive, but interface designs are not unified which requires users to learn new skills, and developer produce designs that are not standardized. Therefore, I suggest web environment improvement methods to guide silver generation to be adapted to information society by suggesting solutions such as support for module of operation system and establishment of standardized design.
