  • 본 논문은 기존 DGPS 시스템에서의 한계인 기지국이 획득하는 보정 정보의 낮은 신뢰성을 보안하기 위해 가상 이동국을 적용한 새로운 DGPS 시스템을 제안한다. 가상 이동국은 기지국으로부터 보정 정보를 인가 받아 가상 이동국 보정 위치 정보를 획득하며, 획득된 가상 이동국 보정 위치 정보와 기저장된 가상 이동국 측정 위치 정보를 비교하여 보정 정보의 신뢰성을 판별한다. 기지국은 이동국으로 보정정보를 전송하기 전에 가상 이동국으로부터 신뢰성 판별 결과인 판별 신호를 인가 받아 이동국으로 신뢰성 높은 보정 정보만을 전송할 수 있도록 한다.

A Study on Analysis of Target Characteristics Using Electromagnetic Waves (전자파를 이용한 목표물의 특성 분석에 관한 연구)

  • Electromagnetic wave signals radiated from an antenna are reflected by targets and received through the same antenna. These received signals show different characteristics according to various target materials having different dielectric constants. Therefore, target characteristics can be recognized if we can utilize these return signals efficiently. this method can be applied for discrimination and classification of hazardous materials. In this paper, utilizing these experimentally obtained signals, correlation characteristics are obtained and analyzed for classification and discrimination purposes. Although the correlation method requires the storage of reference signals, it shows very promising results. this correlation method can be applied for classification and discrimination of hazardous materials.

  • 잔향음은 시변동성이 존재하는 유동성 경계면 잔향음(해수면, 체적)과 시변동성이 존재하지 않는 고정 경계면 잔향음(해저면)으로 분류된다. 그러나 고정 경계면 잔향음으로 알려진 해저면 잔향음에서도 단주기적 시변동성이 존재하고 있음이 여러 실측자료에서 관측되고 있다. 본 연구는 시변동성의 원인을 파악하고자 실험실에서 부유성 퇴적물의 농토에 따른 후방산란 신호를 측정하였다. 또한 동해에서 측정된 시간에 따른 잔향음신호(80kHz)와 ADCP(4.2MHz) 자료를 비교하여 천해에서의 체적 산란체의 변동이 잔향음 신호에 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 확인하였다. 아울러 본 논문에서는 잔향음 신호의 단주기적 시변동성에 의한 잡음 성분을 제거하여 표준화된 잔향음 신호를 획득하기 위한 방법으로 Low Rank Approximation(LRA)을 제안하였다. 이 기법은 특이해 분해(Singular Value Decomposition, SVD)를 수행하여 실측 자료 행렬로부터 고유치(Eigenvalue)과 고유벡터(Eigenvector)를 추출한 후, 추출된 고유치를 제한적으로 사용하여 근사화 하는 기법으로 시변동성 신호를 제거하는데 효율적인 방법이다.

Development of Detection and Analysis System for Electrogastrographic Signal (위전도신호의 측정 및 분석시스템 개발)

  • Electrogastrography(EGG), the cutaneous recording of the myoelectrical activity of the stomach using surface electrodes, is a non-invasive technique to detect gastric motility disorder, We developed a detection and analysis system for the EGG signal, which consists of hardware(bio-amplifier, filter) and softwere(user interface, analysis algorithm, patient database). The EGG signal was amplified and filtered by 3 channel bio-amplifiers, and simultaneously digitized and stored on IBM PC with a sampling frequency of 16 Hz. The stored EGG signal was analyzed using developed algorithm to extract clinically useful information from the signal. The developed system has tested through animal experiments, and is under clinical evaluation.

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm which makes the frequency of output signal synchronize with frequency of input signal in Equalization Digital On-channel Repeater (EDOCR) system which was proposed to overcome the disadvantage of conventional Digital On-Channel Repeater (DOCR). Also, we verify the algorithm by using the mathematical equivalent model and analysis the performance by implying the algorithm to EDOCR. The main idea is to use the frequency offset information, which comes from carrier recovery in the receiving part of EDOCR, when the demodulated symbol is re-modulated in transmitting part. Based on the proposed algorithm, EDOCR not only makes the output signal synchronized with input signal in frequency but also emit the output signal which satisfies the ATSC transmission standard without additional equipments such as Global Positioning System (GSP).

  • The purpose of this study was to determine how the different number of channels of coils were related in the perceived signal intensity under identical parameters and area. Dedicated knee phantoms were scanned consecutively using both of the 16-channel and 8-channel knee coils. The T1 weighted and T2 weighted sequences were acquired using both coils to compare the signal intensities according to the number of channels. As a result, the 16-channel knee coils outperformed the 8-channel knee coils and the signal intensity was significantly increased in both of the T1 and T2 weighted images with the 16-channel coil. In conclusion, it is considered that better signal intensities and more clinical utility can be provided, when coils with more number of channels are used rather than using the coils with smaller number of channels.

Detection and Recognition of Traffic Lights for Unmanned Autonomous Driving (무인 자율주행을 위한 신호등의 검출과 인식)

  • This research extracted traffic light from input video, recognized colors of traffic light, and suggested traffic light color recognizing algorithm applicable to manless autonomous vehicle or ITS by distinguishing signs. To extract traffic light, suggested algorithm extracted the outline with CEA(Canny Edge Algorithm), and applied HCT(Hough Circle Transform) to recognize colors of traffic light and improve the accuracy. The suggested method was applied to the video of stream acquired on the road. As a result, excellent rate of traffic light recognition was confirmed. Especially, ROI including traffic light in input video was distinguished and computing time could be reduced. In even area similar to traffic light, circle was not extracted or V value is low in HSV space, so it's failed in candidate area. So, accuracy of recognition rate could be improved.

  • Monitoring sediment flux is crucial especially for maintaining river systems to understand morphological behaviors. Recently, hydroacoustic backscatter (or SNR) as a surrogate to empirically estimate suspended sediment concentration has been increasingly highlighted for more efficient acquisition of sediment dataset, which is difficult throughout direct sediment sampling. However, relevant contemporary researches have focused on wide range solution applicable for large natural rivers where H-ADCPs with relatively low acoustic frequency have been widely utilized to seamlessly measure streamflow discharge. In this regard, this study aimed at investigating hydroacoustical characteristics based on a very recently released H-ADCP (SonTek SL-3000) with high acoustic frequency of 3 MHz in order to capitalize its capacity to be applied for suspended sediment monitoring in laboratory conditions. SL-3000 was tested in a laboratory flume to collect SNR in conjunction with LISST-100X for actual sediment concentration and particle distribution in both sand and silt sediment injection in various amount. Conventional algorithms to correct signal attenuations for water and sediment were carefully tested to validate whether they can be applied for SL-3000. As result of analyzing the SNR-SSC correlation trand, through further study in the future, it is confirmed that SSC can be observed indirectly by using the SNR.

Recent Progress in Computational Imaging Through Turbid Media (불규칙 매체를 통한 컴퓨테이셔널 이미징의 최근 연구 동향)

  • It is expected that the techniques of optical imaging through turbid media enables non-invasive imaging through human skin and biological tissues. In recent years, many researches have shown that imaging through turbid media can be made possible by measuring the transmission matrix (TM) of the turbid medium and utilizing it for image recovery. However, this TM based image recovery requires a huge amount of data acquisition and post signal processing of them. Very recently, there were new results that this problem of huge data acquisition and processing can be resolved by using the compressed sensing (CS) framework. CS is a relatively new signal acquisition and reconstruction framework which makes possible to recover the signal of interest correctly with significantly smaller number of signal measurements. In this paper, the TM-based image recovery in imaging through turbid media is reviewed and the recent progress made by using CS is introduced.

  • In recent, implementation of the embedded system is gradually in the spotlight of world-wide by information technology(IT) engineers. By this time, an implementation of real time system is limited on image acquisition and processing system in practical. In this paper, the USB camera interface system based on the embedded linux OS is implemented using USB 2.0 camera with low cost. This system can obtain image signals into the memory via X-hyper255B processor from USB camera. It is need to initialize USB camera by the Video4Linux for the kernel device driver. From the system image capturing and image processing can be performed. It is confirmed that the image data can be transformed to packet of Network File System(NFS) and connected to the internetwork, then the data can be monitored from the client computer connected to the internetwork.
