Structural Design of Coupled RC Structural Wall Considering Plastic Behavior (소성거동을 고려한 병렬 RC 구조벽체시스템의 설계)

  • Reinforced concrete(RC) structural walls are major lateral load-resisting structural member in building structures. Generally these RC structural walls are coupled with each other by the coupling beams and slabs, and therefore they behave as RC coupled structural wall system. In the design of these coupled structural wall systems, member forces are calculated using elastic structural analysis. These elastic analysis methodologies for the design of coupled structural wall system was not reasonable because it can not consider their ultimate behavior and assure economic feasibility. Performance based design and moment redistribution method to solve these problems is regarded as a reasonable alternative design method for RC coupled structural wall system. However, it is not verified under various design parameters. In this study, nonlinear analysis of RC coupled structural wall system was performed according to various design parameters such as reinforcement ratio, ultimate concrete strain and wall height. Based on analysis results, design considerations for coupled RC structural wall system was proposed.

  • In this study, the fundamental design procedure for the Smart UAV fuel supply system was set up, and the preliminary design was peformed to meet the vehicle system requirements. The fuel system layout was determined through consideration of vehicle system requirements, and then fuel tank layout, design of components such as booster pump, jet pump, pipe, vent system, weight estimation, etc. were carried out.

  • In this paper we design the optimal satellite-tracking antenna $H{\infty}$ control system using genetic algorithms. To do this, we give gain and dynamics parameters to the weighting functions and apply genetic algorithms with reference model to the optimal determination of weighting functions and design parameter ${\gamma}$ that are given by Glover-Doyle algorithm which can design $H{\infty}$ controller in the state space. These weighting functions and design parameter ${\gamma}$ are optimized simultaneously in the search domain guaranteeing the robust stability of closed-loop system. The effectiveness of this satellite-tracking antenna $H{\infty}$ control system is verified by computer simulation.

  • Due to the rapid growth of ship building industry and increment of ship construction in Korea, several hundred thousand of lifting lugs per year, have been installed at the lifting positions of ship block and removed after finishing their function, therefore, appropriate design system for strength check or optimal design of each lug structure has been required in order to increase the capability of efficient design. In this study, design system of D-type lifting lug structure which is most popular and useful in shipyards, was developed for the purpose of initial design of lug structure. Developed system layout and graphic user interface for this design system based on the C++ language were explained step by step. Using this design system, more efficient performance of lug structural design will be expected on the windows of personal computer.

  • This study aims to suggest the improved business process by analyzing the current design process on work flow of the 3D design of power plant, drawing a problems and setting the improving direction through the integration method of the business process reengineering(BPR). In order to realize the improved business process, the integrated design performance system focused on the 3D design was established and accordingly the study analyzed cases of project performances through the integration system and drew the improved effects quantitatively. In the result of the project performance applied with the 3D design integration system, it showed 20.4% design cost saving effect for appropriate rated cost and the integration of design information from each design parts, sub contracters and vendors reduced overlapped works and improved the consistency of repeated design alteration.

  • Software development process consists of five phases : requirement, analysis, design, implementation and testing. There is almost always a gap between the system design and implementation stages, caused by a combination of the difficulty of programming and frequent changes on the system design. The goal of this paper is to reduce the gap between system design and implementation, and we design a tool producing a application program by recognizing business logic for a more rapid and flexible developing of software. The core idea of Application Program Generator is : firstly, to recognize that business application in the same domain share business logic and presentation logic : secondly, to treat system design as persistent meta-data ; thirdly, to use the persistent meta-data to build or customize applications as required.

  • The flow of a universal system-level design methodology consists of system specification, system-level hardware/software partitioning, co-design, co-verification using virtual or physical prototype, and system integration. In the developing process of a hardware component in system, the design phase has been regarded as a phase consuming lots of time and cost. However, the verification phase in which functionality of the designed component is verified has recently been considered as a much important phase. In this paper, the implementation of a verification environment which is based on SystemC infrastructure and verifies the functionality of a hardware component is described. The proposed verification system uses SystemC user-defined channel as communication interface between variables of SystemC module and registers of Verilog module. The functional verification of an UART is performed on the proposed verification system. SystemC provides class library for hardware modeling and has an advantage of being able to design a system consisting hardware and software in higher abstraction level than register transfer level. Source codes of SystemC modules are reusable with a minor adaptation on verifying functionality of another hardware component.

  • Recently, autonomous parking problems have attracted a great deal of attention and have been examined in many papers in the literature. In this paper we design a fuzzy logic based parking system which is an important part for designing an autonomous parking system. We first analysis the existed papers and design a single-input fuzzy logic system for the parking algorithm and illustrate the effectiveness of the new method via the simulation results.

  • This paper describes the design of the monitoring system for monitoring the current status and indirect controlling of the Wet Station Equipment which is used for cleaning the wafer. Most of the conventional monitoring system depend on the special hardware and software. Basic design goal of monitoring system is provide the convenience for the use and the portability for the system. In order for the system to fulfil its requirements, it was designed using GUI (Graphical User Interface) facility based on the windows NT environment of IBM PC compatible and EtherNet board based on the TCP/IP protocol.

  • This paper will propose the efficient method that should be designed to utilize the design pattern of GoF(Gang of Four) for implementation of LBS(Location Based Service) mobile system. The design method proposed by this paper can design and implement system interface using creational patterns, structural patterns and behavioral patterns of design pattern from the user and mobile system viewpoint. The design method using design pattern can show increasing reusability of module and software, abridging the development time, minimizing the maintenance and decreasing the efficiency of memory of system to software development. Therefore, we used a design pattern in order to change the middleware applying geographic information system from mobile environment. Finally, the mobile system applied to design pattern shall contribute to showing high stability and reliability, improving reusability and scalability of module and software and developing efficient LBS mobile system.
