Second, the indirect effect of perceived desirability between all components of job insecurity and entrepreneurial intentions was not significant, but all components of entrepreneurship appeared to improve entrepreneurial intention through perceived desirability. Third, it has been confirmed that job insecurity, innovativeness, and risk-taking strengthen the entrepreneurial intention through the perception of feasibility for entrepreneurial behavior. Through this study, it is confirmed that in order to convert workers into entrepreneur, it is necessary to strengthen entrepreneurship education and support for internal ventures for workers to increase their positive attitude and confidence in implementation. Therefore, it is expected to help solve job problems and revive the sluggish economy by contributing to boosting start-ups.

  • The majority of previous research on start-ups consist of research on leading variables that affect the entrepreneurial intention related to start-ups established by young people, college students or senior citizens, and the influencing relationships regarding start-ups in the sense of their form such as independent start-ups, franchising start-ups, small business start-ups, etc. It is difficult to find research on entrepreneurial intention targeting office workers. This study investigates the question of how office workers' entrepreneurial mindset affects their entrepreneurial intentions, focusing on mediating role of social capital and moderating role of state-action orientation. We use survey data to empirically test the relationships between the variables in question. This study finds the presence of the positive effect of entrepreneurial mindset on social capital that significantly promotes entrepreneurial intention, demonstrating mediating role of social capital. We understand the existence of moderator, action state, showing that entrepreneurial intention is affected by interaction of entrepreneurial mindset and action state, not entrepreneurial mindset alone. We propose some policy implications based on the results of this study, and lists the limitations of the study.

  • In a recent study conducted in South Korea, a nation grappling with the implications of an increasingly super-aged society, researchers empirically analyzed the factors influencing seniors' satisfaction with financial institutions' wealth management (WM) services. We surveyed 250 seniors who utilized financial institutions' wealth management services. Independent variables such as product(diversity, profitability, stability), employee(expertise, problem-solving ability, customer orientation), physical evidence, process, inheritance service, and trust service were carefully examined. Employing hierarchical regression analysis, we tested hypotheses within an established research model. The findings revealed that variables like product stability and profitability, employee problem-solving ability, customer orientation, process, inheritance service, and trust service significantly positively affected satisfaction with WM services. In contrast, no substantial association was detected between satisfaction and factors like product diversity, employee expertise, or physical evidence. Among the influential factors, the order of impact was determined to be employee customer orientation, problem-solving ability, trust service, product stability, inheritance service, product profitability, and process. This research provided essential insights into the nuanced preferences and needs of seniors concerning wealth management services. The detailed examination of the subject might also shed light on similar challenges faced in the other aging societies. As the global population continues to age, the implications of this study could reach far beyond the borders of South Korea. By understanding these key determinants of satisfaction, financial institutions worldwide can tailor their wealth management services to better meet the unique demands of the senior population.

  • Recently, as young and senior entrepreneurs are getting interested in starting a business, the domestic startup rate is gradually increasing. However, the survival rate of start-ups is so low. In this regard, this study empirically examines how the entrepreneurial intention affects both financial and non-financial start-up performances through the intermediation effects of experiential competence, financing competency, marketing competence and differentiated competitive advantage. In doing so, the purpose of this study is to find out the key elements to successful start-ups. To this end, the survey results of 200 start-ups in Pohang from January 21 to February 1, 2019 were used to test the research hypotheses. The results of the study are summarized as follows. First, it is shown that the entrepreneurial intention have a positive effect on the experiential competence, financing competence and marketing competence. Second, it is found that both experiential competence and marketing competence have significant positive effects on the differentiated competitive advantage. On the other hand, the financing competence has not been shown to have a significant effect on the differentiated competitive advantage, which might result from the characteristic of the data that most of the respondents are from new businesses. Third, it is shown that the differentiated competitive advantage has a positive effect on both financial and non-financial performances. In conclusion, the results of this study suggest a theoretical basis for the successful start-up performance. Namely, it is necessary for the founders of start-ups to secure differentiated competitive advantage through the entrepreneurial intention and the entrepreneurial competences such as financing competence and marketing competence because the differentiated competitive advantage leads to the successful financial and non-financial start-up performances. In addition, the results of this study suggest to both entrepreneurs and managers that for the successful business performance, it is important for them to make continuous efforts to come up with new ideas and to reinforce financing and marketing activities in order to achieve the differentiated competitive advantage.

  • The purpose of this study is to study the influence of the entrepreneurship of the senior generation on the will to start a business at a time when the senior generation cannot lead to technology start-ups or reemployment even after retirement. In addition, in this study, we look at the relationship between entrepreneurship and will to start a business and use social and intellectual capital to verify the impact of entrepreneurship on the will to start a business. This study shows that entrepreneurship is concerned with the relationship between social and intellectual capital and not with the relationship between entrepreneurship and will to start a business. In addition, the relationship between social capital to the will to start a business was significant and the intellectual capital was not significant in the will to start a business. Even if entrepreneurship is embedded, it means that experience and network of social and intellectual capital are essential to the will to start a business, rather than to start one right away.

  • This paper is a study on the digitization of an analog 3D pen. The term digital implies features such as homeostasis, transformability, combinability, reproducibility, and convenience of storage. One device that produces a combination of these digital characteristics is a 3D printer, but its industrial use is limited due to low productivity and limitations with materials and physical characteristics. In particular, improvements are required to use 3D printers, such as better user accessibility owing to expertise and skills in modeling software and printers. Complementing this fact is the 3D pen, which is excellent in portability and ease of use, but has a limitation in that it cannot be digitized. Therefore, in order to secure a digitalization capability and ease of use, and to secure the safety of printing materials that pose controversial hazards during the printing process, research problems and alternatives have been derived by combining food, and digitization was demonstrated with a newly developed 3D pen. In order to digitize the 3D pen, a sensor in a structured device detects the motion of an analog 3D pen, and this motion is converted into 3D data (X-Y-Z coordinate values) through a spatial analysis algorithm. To prove this method, the similarity was confirmed by visualization using MeshLab version 1.3.4. It is expected that this food pen can be used in youth education and senior healthcare programs in the future.

  • While South Koreans overseas travelling rate has been increased every year, domestic travelling rate has been at a standstill for several years. The purpose of this study is to analyze domestic traveling styles of Koreans according to their generations in order to provide generation-specific traveling services. For this purpose, we categorized the survey respondents into four different generations, which are Millennium (age 19~34), X generation (35~54), Baby Boomer (55~64) and senior by following the criterions of the Korea National Tourism Organization. After then, we analyze factors related to travel preparation process, the actual traveling activities and satisfaction after the travel. In this study, 16,713 data collected by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism are used. The results of this study show that Korean people tends to acquire domestic traveling information from their own or acquaintances past experiences. Also, they do not prefer the organized trip for domestic travels, thus do not buy package products a lot. In addition, natural scenery, rich in cultural heritage, and convenient accommodation are the most important determinant factors affecting the overall travel satisfaction of level for all generations. The traveling characteristics for each generation are as follows. Millennium get traveling information from the internet a lot, and more specifically, they refer portal sites and social network services (SNS) in many cases. Also, they tend to travel in summer peak season to popular destinations and pursues active traveling experiences. Generation X has similar traveling patterns with Millennium, however they major transportation method is using their own car. Also, transportation convenience and satisfactory leisure activity are important factors affecting the overall satisfaction level to Generation X. On the other hand, Baby boomer generation has a greater emphasis on appreciation of nature, visiting famous restaurants, and relaxation, rather than actively participating experiencing programs. They travel evenly in summer and spring/fall season to many different areas instead of focusing on popular tourist spots. In addition, shopping and eating delicious food are the important factors affecting the overall satisfaction level for them. Lastly, Senior generation has similar characteristics with Baby boomer in many ways, however, they travel a lot on the same day using public transportations or car rental service. They prefer spring and autumn trips rather than summer peak season, and tend to buy packaged travel products a lot compared with other generations. If these different traveling characteristics of each generation are considered for organizing and customizing tourism services, it is expected that domestic tourism satisfaction level will be ultimately increased.
